anyways my point is overall I was impressed with S2 & S3 of Squid Game in that the writing remained true to its message and I thought the ending was intriguing and consistent and the way this show continuously shows the pitfalls of the society we live in and the way anyone, ANYONE, can get caught up in the dirtiness of it, was brilliantly done. the microcosm representing the macrocosm was so simple yet so cleverly done and honestly I just am all out really fucking impressed by this show, especially how it managed to maintain what it was at its core despite the worldwide mania for it

#personally thought that there was no way our lead could live #how would he even live after everthing?#the games will never end in this world - would he just continue being part of it and being the sole survivor over and over and over again?#changing nothing?#no obviously not #he had to die - and he died heroically staying true to that persona he was in the first episode of the first season #a person who believes humanity / human kindness must win in an utterly rotten world #and so he sacrifices himself for an innocent soul - it could not be a more suitable ending for him #he's with his best friend sang-woo all over again #ironically these two decided to die in the same way despite having taken such different paths in their lives - their ending was the same #two lost souls who could not further bear the guilt and therefore decided to end their own misery #hoping to give a more innocent soul a chance in this world #and that ending scene - genius strike! even more genius because it was put into a WESTERN SOCIETY setting #lowkey even nodding to our obsession with re-creating the horrors of squid game in fucking tv game shows #exceptionally well done #squid game #squid game spoilers
