(1/2)Sorry to ask but: where is Matt originally from in you AU(s)? i'm certain you said it i just cat find it anywhere... i ask because i have a voice claim head canon you might get a kick out of if he's Scottish! The singer of the band The Narcissist Cookbook has the most charming accent and lilt to his voice with plenty of messiness to it to make me think of Matt! It may be a bit manic but...

To be fair, I never specified from which part of the UK Matt and Chris are from and I know too little about UK dialects to have an opinion about it :'D But they live in the very south, so it's probably not scottish.

The Narcissist Cookbook singer has a good voice for Matt though!! Bonus points for him being called Matt as well :D

Okay so I think Matt during Wammy's never knew Mello had a teddy. And when they ran away, Mello didn't take Ivo with him. Left him in their dorm room at Wammy's. All the stuff they left at Wammy's got sent to their parents, who got then sent off to different countries due to witness protection, thinking their kid is in trouble or maybe even dead. So Ivanka 100% kept Ivo as a keepsake.

Maybe when Mello is delirious on the couch immediately after the explosion he starts mumbling and mentions Ivo. Maybe even something about "wanting Ivo". Matt, who has been listening, going "Who the fuck is Ivo...??? He never mentioned an Ivo.... maybe a relative? A secret sibling? A mafia guy? A secret lover? :(((( Hmm also sounds like "Pivo" (Croatian for beer) but he can't possibly be craving beer right now???"

And post-canon, Ivanka mentions she still has the teddy and Mello is like !!! "Matt look my old teddy Ivo!!!" and Matt going "THAT'S IVO?!?!?! OH MY GOD MELLO YOU ARE SO CUTE WHAT THE FUCKKKK"
