💚 do you have permission to use these characters? 💛

all the OC's and AU's to be included in the story either 1) have faq’s stating permission to use the characters or concepts in fan stories, 2) I have asked the owner personally to use, or 3) are my own OC’s.

💚 is this at all related to Underverse (by jakei)? 💛

nope! there are similar elements, such as the undertale multiverse and some similar characters, but i have a different story in mind that is almost completely unrelated.

💚 is this a sequel to A L I V E (by tatatale)? 💛

there are elements from A L I V E included, such as the "real world" being the AU where Thea lives, but it’s not directly supposed to be part of the A L I V E story. if this is anything, I would consider it more like a sequel to Ink’s backstory... but do know this is also not at all canon for him and is my own ideas!

A new human has fallen to the underground two weeks after the events caused by Frisk, who mysteriously disappeared after being last seen in New Home. A lot has happened in these past two weeks… aside from monsters figuring out how to get to the Surface.

This game is made and will be made entirely free-to-play, with no intention of making a profit from, misusing, or demoralizing Toby Fox’s content. This is made entirely out of fun and appreciation for Undertale and will keep that intention throughout its development. Please, if you have not already, support Toby Fox and his official release of Undertale and Deltarune!

yes, but it went through a name change due to confusion behind my intentions. if you see something floating around with the name "underlust rewrite" that has the same stuff as this AU, it's likely an old post. please know it's not a name i want to be used for this project anymore!

❤️ why did you change the name from "underlust reimagine?" 🖤

i didn't want to do another rename, but i found a lot of people gravitated towards the name "reimagine" for their AU's, so to avoid confusion, instead of making everyone else change, i figured it would be best if i just change mine. "rainbow" was another backup name i had before since it fits the pride theming!

❤️ why isn't this series 18+, like underlust? 🖤

at the time of originally writing this, i wasn't particularly confident in posting 18+ content online, nor in my ability to create it. while i have changed since then, i also didn't and don't want to completely alter my plans for this story. however, it is still a mature story -- it just doesn't have explicit sexual content like underlust did. consider it more like ao3 M-rated or 16+.

❤️ is this just you shitting on underlust/a fix-it fic? 🖤

absolutely not! i love underlust! it was the first undertale AU i ever grew truly invested in when i joined the fandom back in 2020 that not only inspired me but helped me become more comfortable with my identity and sexuality. i wanted to make this AU not only because i loved it, but also because i wanted more people to experience the same feelings i did upon reading underlust the first time.

❤️ can i make content with underlust rainbow? 🖤

yes! this is answered more in depth in my main blog’s faq. biggest thing to keep in mind is to make sure any nsfw or 18+ content you might create is not in the main tags on tumblr, is filtered under an E rating on ao3, or whatever situation applies to your social media of choice.

❤️ who made the original underlust? 🖤

underlust is an AU by @/nsfwshamecave, who is no longer in the fandom and has since donated their AU to the utmv fandom as a whole. as the original AU is 18+, i will not link it here, but if you are of-age it is worth the read :D

❤️ will there be any canon ships for ULR? 🖤

no, there won’t be. any ship content i’ve made can be considered non-canon, as well. there are canonical crushes and the like, but no specific relationships will happen in the main story.

❤️ if there's no canon ships, what's up with condoriano? 🖤

condoriano was really initially just a joke by my friend @murmur-utdr-au / @murmurkins that we accidentally made more serious by giving him a story, but he won't make any direct canon appearances in the main ULR storyline. as for insans x ace, the ship condoriano spiraled from, you're totally fine to ship it! both @tatatale and i are fine with anyone who wants to do so. but know that ace will not have a canonical partner, and insans already has a canonical partner of his own!

❤️ is this AU on hiatus? 🖤

i mostly update things whenever i get around to it if it's not something i'm currently very passionate about. i've been feeling a bit better about ULR, lately, so i might come back to this more! but remember i'm just doing this for fun, so please don't hold any high expectations.
