Y'know, I never really thought about this scene until now. The Iron Giant remembers Hogarth telling them, "You are who you choose to be." And the Iron Giant chooses Superman. An alien being who was sent to Earth, who has the power to destroy it with nothing on Earth being able to stop them, only to choose to be a hero instead. The Iron Giant doesn't just choose Superman because he's a good guy. They're literally a Superman parallel. The Iron Giant didn't choose to be just a good guy, they choose to be an embodiment of justice, righteousness, and incorruptiblity while sacrificing themselves simply because it's the right thing to do. The Iron Giant was a weapon that chose to be just a human doing the right thing, and that's beautiful.

I know it's been talked about a lot, but people don't understand WHY Spider-man would be such a menace to Batman's villains. It's not his powers either.

He'd just completely deconstruct how they act and laugh at them over it, which they'd HATE.

Like imagine Spider-man going to fight The Penguin, trying to figure out why he's called the penguin, finally coming face to face, and proceeding to laugh his ass off. Cobblepot would lose his mind.

He'd steal Two Face's coin, bench press Bane, only throw fire extinguishers at Firefly, generally make fun of Killer Moth, Codinment King, and my god what he'd do to Joker would be the stuff of legends.

He'd feel really bad for Mr. Freeze though. Also he'd probably refer to him by name as well.
