Mantra
I honor my anger as a guardian. I speak my truth without apology. I set boundaries with grace and power.

Wonder, openness, and the fear of holding onto calm
Sometimes, I gaze around with eyes wide open — at the world, at life, at its fierce beauty and endless trials. There’s an openness inside me that trembles, a fragile fear that my heart might race too fast, and my mind might lose its gentle hold.
It’s a dance — between wanting to embrace it all, and fearing I’ll get lost if I let go. Yet, I try to stay steady, to hold onto calm amidst the storm of feelings.
Because in that calm, I find the space to love myself, to listen, to heal.

Today I choose not to blame.
I take ownership of what I feel and what I choose.
I offer myself compassion and the space to grow.

Safety
i don’t trust myself to stay consistent. i don’t trust that i can control anything.
but maybe i don’t need control. maybe i just need to be soft with myself when i fall.
maybe safety is not in promises— but in presence.
maybe healing starts when i stop trying to fix everything and start choosing to sit beside the parts of me that are scared.
and whisper, “i’m here.”

Today, I let go
No control, just trust
When I stop blaming, I start breathing.
When I give space, I return to myself.

”Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable, seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?” - Ernest J. Gaines
