Hi everyone! I'm releasing my first game, A Winter Haunting, on December 3rd, and I would love to know what choices Tumblr makes through a series of polls! :) So -- let's begin!

Your grandma calls you up to Northern Pacifica, a cold region with a mansion of historical significance. Several people have quit due to creaking floor boards, damaged property, and annoying occasional drafts. Some even say it's haunted... All the while, you're stressed about finding your next job, but you promised yourself you will keep your mind off it. As you're muttering to yourself about this dilemma, the previous caretaker interrupts you!

Rain Effect + Free Textures Included! :D

Thought of sharing with others in case they also wanted to do rain in a 2D system! 🙂

Created a rain particle system for the "nighttime" portion in my game (video attached) 🙂

Back (for a bit) from being MIA!

Hey everyone! Hope you all have been doing well since the time I've been gone, sorry for disappearing on you! Thank you so much for your patience on my game updates!! :) I'm very heads down in development since I want to push for getting the game out by EOY, and so far I seem to be on a decent track / ahead of schedule (but don't want to jinx it ofc!!) :D Anyway, here's a sneak peek of some art I've been doing!! :) Hope you enjoy!! <3

Aaandddd the Beta-Testing Phase is Complete, You Can Now Play the Teaser! :)

Of course, that's what I'm saying just for temporary comfort (as I'm sure there will always be another bug out there when I'm done with a fully fleshed out version of this game -- when my second beta-testing phase will be :) ).

Hi Tumblr, hope you are doing well this weekend! :) I am an solo game developer who is working on my first published passion project, A Winter Haunting! :) It's a 2D point-and-click haunted game, which I started developing this past December (2023), and it is to be released this December (2024). Due to the tight deadline I gave myself, I consider solo developing a part-time (sometimes full-time!) job, in addition to my existing 7-3 job. Unfortunately, one of the things a lot of indies, like me, struggle with -- is marketing and visibility.

Request:

So with that, I was curious to know -- could you please do any of the following? A) Like this post B) Reblog this post C) Add some discussion comments on my steam page D) Wishlist the game (if you are interested?)
