This hit so hard that I made it into an MLA source for one of my ENG 112 assignments (genuinely though... ouch. I wish more people would understand this.)

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

Doctor Who finale rewrite:

The whole poppy thing isn't real. Doesn't happen. That evil mf gets killed at the end, probably by ruby cause she hates the man. Belinda gets home without her whole timeline changing and she has a bittersweet goodbye with the doctor, WITHOUT her entire personality being whittled down to just being a mother. The rani doesn't get eaten, she survives and escapes, acting as a new big bad who will make more appearances later. The doctor regenerates into someone else. NOT Billie Piper. I love her, but she's had her time on the show and made a huge impact already.

Ideas for new actors for the doctor:

I would say a trans doctor but I feel like the mf already doesn't care about gender so it'd be a bit ehhh.

Definitely more POC if possible. Despite my all white list, I think it'd be great to have more non-white representation. And not in a "we gotta appeal to the current political climate" way. Actual representation. Ncuti was a great example.

It's deeply unfortunate that the last episode of this season ended in such a depressing way. They destroyed Belinda's character by throwing the whole "mother" thing at her. I feel like it's completely overriding the confidence and independence she had before. And just. Changing the timeline to make it work feels lazy.

Its too late to change the whole regeneration thing but I hope they improve things from here with Billie Piper. Not a fan of the fact that she's back. Doesn't make any sense, and it really shows how desperate they are for the old fanbase they had. However, there is potential here. If they fill in the holes and unfinished plotlines it could be good. All we can do now is hope that they don't drag down the show more.

Remember, there's always time for improvement.

Now that I am not fighting for my life, my brain is finally able to have a special interest again. As a kid doctor who was all I could think of or talk about for YEARS. and now it's back. I've been nonstop thinking about and talking about doctor who for a few months and good LORD it's back in FULL FORCE.

Cannot for the life of me have a conversation without my having to constantly resist the urge to compare everything to doctor who. This is one of the many burdens of autism, but it's also a blessing. I can't imagine any neurotypical person feeling this deeply and intensely joyful about a piece of media. Not in this way.

Not what I expected coming from John Green

Yet another banger episode of doctor who. They put so much soul into it, as they have been doing for this entire season.

They recruited a Nigerian writer for this episode too which should be an obvious choice, but it still makes me happy to see that this story is full of REAL heart and traditions from African culture.

As a disclaimer, I am a white american so I don't have the same perspective as black people who have lived with and experienced African culture their whole lives. This, however, means that whatever my happiness feels like in seeing this episode... I can only imagine that it's that much more meaningful for those people.

This isn't the only thing- they've pushed towards inclusion for disabled characters. They're sprinkling in metaphors for what everyone is struggling with on a day to day basis. They're grabbing our hearts, and telling us that we're not crazy, and that even an alien with two hearts and essential immortality could see the problem.

Thank you, new Doctor Who, for handling real topics about real people with such truth. This season is an obvious representation of what has changed in the world, along with the problems and cruelty we have faced as of late, and I'm glad.

Went out and did too many things yesterday. Every muscle in my body feels like I ran a marathon. So much pain. And my shoulders and wrists are consistently taking turns subluxating and occasionally dislocating. Literally all I did was drive, go to a graduation ceremony, and work. That's all. This is ridiculous. I'm filing a complaint.
