1. It is so much harder than high school, it is so much more fast paced but you will get through it!
2. Time management is integral. Things are due every week instead of at the end of a term so you need to be on top of things.
3. You are going to get told things you don't understand and ultimately it is up to you to research them if you aren't familiar.
4. You will need to seek out practice problems and questions because in most cases they wont be provided.
5. Finding your classes isn’t that hard and after the first time you will remember where to go.
6. You may not get as good of marks as you did in high school and that is okay!
7. Caffeine is good but enough iron and water is better.
8. Not everyone makes friends straight away and you may not have that typical party experience.
9. You don’t have to go to every lecture but you do have to ask every question.
10. Your friends are not your competition.
11. University is not a rank game.
12. It is an experience as well as education, take that opportunity.
13. You can be friends with all kinds of genders.
14. You can sneak drinks into clubs.
15. Cooking for yourself is pretty easy and fun and doesn't have to be expensive.
16. You’re going to change a lot, embrace it.
17. Group work can be really fun!
18. There will be classes you hate, find the positive.
19. You may not like the classes you thought you would and that’s okay.
20. Textbooks are not very useful most of the time.
21. Having the most stationary won’t equal success, it is how you use them.
22. I like digital notes more than i thought i would.
23. Being an adult can be really hard but also really rewarding.
24. You will hear more perspectives and be understanding.
25. It gets easier.

During my first year of university my mental health took a real dive so here are some things I have learned!
1. Stop comparing yourself to others!
2. It is ok for ask help.
3. You don’t need to be better than your friends, you can all do well.
4. You will fall behind sometimes and that’s okay!
5. Keep a diary/planner/google calendar.
6. Set tasks due a few days early to trick yourself into avoiding last minute madness.
7. Go out in the sun at least once a day.
8. Wake up earlier than usual, you will start the day accomplished.
9. Have a weekly to do list instead of daily ones.
10. Make sure you are doing at least one positive thing for you a day.
11. Celebrate the small victories and REALLY celebrate the big ones!
12. Study smarter, this does not always mean doing the most.
13. Realise your triggers or things that bring you down. For me this was my workplace and my goal is to get out of it this year.
14. Hot drinks.
15. Try and eat healthy meals, there are heaps of easy recipes out there and your body and mind will thankyou.
16. Recognise one thing that made you happy each day.
17. Get and give hugs.
18. You are doing a really tough thing, don’t beat yourself up for small mistakes.
19. Speak your feelings, don’t bottle them up.
20. Have a support system.
21. Cry if you want to.
22. If you need to overthink things write it out so you don’t repetitively overthink the same things.
23. Buy a syngonium, they are a beautiful plant that is easy to care for, only water when you see the leaves drooping.
24. Give yourself gifts and be proud.
25. Be aware of your mental issues, accept them and make active steps to help yourself.

A lot of us have spent the last year studying from home. At least for me, i get bored sitting just at my desk everyday! So, I’ve compiled this list of places in your home you can study that you may not have thought of or might help you in 2021.
1. Kitchen Table
If you live with friends or even family, studying at the dinner or kitchen table may be a bit distracting. However, i find this a great way to be social while i study which often lifts my mood! This is often one of the sunnier spots in your home, which will keep you more alert and happy.
2.Deck/Verandah/Balcony
Not everyone has one of these but it is the perfect way to soak up the day and feel productive! It also means you can take pillows and get comfy without getting dirty or your electronics overheating.
3. Make a study Corner!
I like to find a bare corner in my house and load it up with pillows and blankets and lean into that corner. This a comfy and cute aesthetic that motivates me and because you are sitting up you don't get as sleepy as being in bed. However this can hurt your bottom if not padded well enough!
4. Use a chair as your desk
Much like the last one this you will be sitting on the ground and will involve some padding. You could even use a low coffee table! This gives you the at desk feeling whilst feeling centred. This one is susceptible to leg cramps from sitting cross legged so if you can find some back support and have your legs straight it will increase the longevity of the study time.
5. Move to a window
Pushing up a table or surface against a window will help get that outdoor feeling and sun much like a balcony. Again the aesthetic is extremely motivating and the mindset you get from this location is amazing!

Sunday study sesh,
Today I want to get ahead on a bunch of uni work so I'm doing questions from my maths problem list so I'm not overwhelmed when exams come up in a bit over a month.
While I'm doing that I'm doing little tasks off my phone's to do list like banking things etc. And watching some videos on loop quantum gravity. I'm trying to determine which unifying theory I like best.
Also going to practice my guitar soon and do some washing before the week starts up.
If you have a preference on unifying theories drop it below or hit up my dms!

I'm starting uni in a few weeks and decided to finally get my hands on an iPad and try out goodnotes, safe to say it's worth the hype and I'm starting to get used to using it. This is a page of revision notes that I did to test out the app and while the handwriting isn't great yet I'm happy with how it's going!
Drop your favourite Apple Apps below!!!

I get an hour break at work so I use that time to read books related to my studies, sometimes I finish at 10pm so I won't get much time to study after so this is a good way to balance that out!!! What are your time hacks? 📖📖📖
