Honestly… having Polaris/ Lorna Dane be a fun pov character for an X-Men story

If I may present my case:

She's the daughter of Magneto and doesn't know it. This gives her a mysterious but significant backstory tied to the main antagonist. If this were a show written by me, Wanda and Pietro would be more everyday antagonists, so she gets to know her siblings before discovering their connection. It would also be good twist material and provide linked personal and interpersonal conflict.

She's an everywoman. Her parents were killed in an accident (wink wink nudge nudge) when Lorna was young, and she was raised by her loving uncle and aunt. Her powers are clear and easy to explain- controlling metal- while still providing a lot of room for growth and creativity in fights. A sweet spot like this feels reminiscent of Kitty Pryde and Jubilee.

She has bright green hair. This gives her a physical characteristic that sets her apart as Other while still being human-passing. It's a middle ground between characters like Kitty Pryde who are completely human in appearance and Nightcrawler who isn't. Maybe she's embarrassed of it and/or they dyes it brown and her growing it out can be a sign of her character growth.

I feel like Stephanie deserves more meaningful relationships with the other bats besides Cass and Tim-

I’m happy with her relationship with Damian and Jason-

but wouldn’t it be DIVINE for her to have an even more meaningful with idk… the first Robin?

Like I’ve been thinking of their personalities for a while… and I’ve even looked around for people’s comments on their potential/canon relationship and haven’t seen anyone talk about this but I feel like this should be considered.

Steph and Dick have potential for such a foil relationship.

I know they are similar in a lot of aspects which I’m aware is probably the reason why fandom portrays them as best friends.

But the thing is, they have two VERY conflicting personality traits which would give them some conflict to work with that would kinda make their relationship more meaningful-

Steph absolutely hates it when people help her when she believes she can do it herself or in other words ‘fight her battles’.

Dick has an absolute need to help everyone, especially those he cares about- and he clearly cares about Steph, at least as a good friend.

You can already see the conflict! Like imagine when they’re on a mission together and Steph is about to get hit by another goon or something and then Dick knocks out the offending goon to Steph’s great annoyance.

That would be a fun rock to put in their relationship to help them walk around wouldn’t it? Like, Dick learning to accept her strength or/and Steph learning to accept help.

Although- that could turn into a sibling relationship… that would still be great wouldn’t it?
