Cigarettes and Daydreams

I can’t help but stare as she leans against the wall, cigarette in hand. So perfect. Her gaze fixes upon mine, I look away. Not for long enough. How could I? To spend a minute without her beauty, her hair tucked behind her ear, her sweet voice that is the melody to my heart, how could I? To spend a second without her perfection as the sunlight falls upon her hazel eyes. I stare into them, for what else can I do? My heart is the garden of flowers that she lays in. My mind is the secret universe we live in. Can she see how much my heart aches for her? How bitter I am for her touch? How desperate I am for her? Does she know?
