URGENT: Help Buy Textbooks for a Disabled Trans student

hello, my name is seph and i am a disabled and transgender student. i can no longer receive financial aid because i have been at community college for too long. my disability prevented me from studying full time while working, so i’m in my 4th year at community college while financial aid only covers the first 2. my parents are refusing to help and urging me to drop out. i have $0 in my bank account until Sept 11 and am currently eating only from the campus food pantry.

i need to buy my textbooks to avoid being dropped from my classes. if i am dropped, i will lose access to the food pantry.

i am making a new post because i have LOWERED my goal because i found out that the physical copy of ny calc book includes an access code, which i need to complete online assignments.

She's a disabled trans woman and Shes been jobless for a few weeks and is running out of bus Faire and food. She has scarcely eaten in the last few days, and is actively hunting for work. If you all could spare anything that would be extremely helpful. I would help her myself but we live across the continent from each other.

The UK is a hellstate

A transgender woman has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a male partner by failing to disclose her gender status to him, meaning he could not consent to the sexual activity, British prosecutors said on Friday. Ciara Watkin, 21, performed sex acts on the man, also 21, who she had met on social media site Snapchat in June 2022, but did not disclose her transgender status to him. The Crown Prosecution Service said Watkin had told the man that she was on her period and meaning he could not touch her below the waist. A few days later the pair met again, after which Watkin blocked all contact with the man until she eventually got back in touch and told him during an exchange of text messages that she was transgender and had male genitalia, the CPS said. “It is clear from the evidence in this case that, prior to engaging in sexual activity with the victim, Watkin had made no attempt to inform him of her transgender status,” said Senior Crown Prosecutor Sarah Nelson. “The victim has made clear in police interview that he would not have engaged in sexual activity had he known that Watkin was transgender and, consequently, these events have had a significant impact on his mental wellbeing.” Watkin, from Stockton-on-Tees in northeast England, had admitted lying but her lawyers told her trial that it would have been “blindingly obvious” to the man that she was not biologically female, the BBC said. She was convicted of two charges of sexual assault and one charge of assault by penetration following a trial at Teesside Crown Court and will be sentenced on October 10.

So yeah, I guess the precedent and stare decisis is that you need to tell your partner that you're trans in the UK and can't stealth unless you want a rape conviction.

On Friday 29th, a group of our activists lead a protest against JK Rowling’s funding and support of transphobia across the UK. They gave speeches and implored the public to stop giving their money to transphobic efforts. The peaceful protest, however, was disrupted when Posie Parker - a prominent TERF known for her ties to white supremacy as well as her transphobia - began to verbally and physically harass them. Things escalated when a member of the public attempted to ‘defend’ her views by threatening to stab two of our activists with a knife. One activist said in their speech: “All we want is the freedom to grow up, free from discrimination or oppressive legislation. JK Rowling has not listened, and is creating a world where we can’t grow up at all.” The message of this action, furthered by the horrifying actions of the far right counter-protesters, show one thing clearly: now is the time. STOP FUNDING TRANSPHOBIA!

Late start to the day but still made my calls. Managed to keep Visa on the phone for 40 minutes, and Paypal on the line for over an hour and got them to file another complaint for me! MasterCard is just filling the reports as usual, though I was able to get them to file two separate reports today, one for Itch.io and one for Steam. Remember, be polite, be informed, be persistent.

Everyone knows that YouTube is implementing AI age verification on it’s platform based on what you like to watch and if it gets your age wrong, then you have to give them your government ID, then they will sell it to hackers.

Not only is YouTube doing it, but also the entirety of Google is doing it as well, which is way worse than you all initially thought it was gonna be because none of you knew about this part before.

This AI will really suck because Google Search ranks #1 & YouTube ranks #2 in most visited websites according to Wikipedia as of July 2025. And the worst method of spying on all people that anyone can ever come with is by using the most visited websites.

In February of 2025, Google announced that it would put AI age verifications on ALL of it’s platforms, from YouTube to queries on Search that will be used to assume your age based on search history to Google Play Store to Google Maps to anything else Google-related you can think of.

It’s doing it all because of a few irresponsible parents. And speaking of parents, you should let the REAL parents control what the kids do, not yourselves Google!

This is a violation of our rights to privacy which are protected under the 4th amendment, as well as the rights to freedom of speech and expression under the 1st amendment! Google deserves to be sued for all of this! We will also hold a trial for all the Google employees who thought this was a good idea, including Sundar Pichai himself and many others accountable for their unconstitutional actions!

My current not-approved-by-the-government opinion is that im not anyone's parent and i should not be responsible for random teenagers online. If I post smth thats 'meant for adults' and its labled as such then what happens from there is literally not my problem. If a teen- who is fully capable of turning on self moderation settings on their own btw- doesn't use a site's provided self moderation settings and they see boobs or dicks then like literally whatever, its neither the end of the world or a big deal. It shouldn't fall on me or a website or a tech company to do a parent's job, and also frankly i don't think a parent should be breathing down their 16 year old's neck on the off chance they do actually want to look at tits, but thats a discussion that americans will fucking throw a fit at so maybe we'll discuss that another day in better company.

"But what about young children!!" see thats! where parents should be involved- that is to say, why are you letting your young child on the internet in the first place, you fucking idiot.
