One of the craziest things I found out when I was a TRA was that most t4t transbians are settling because lesbians won't date them.
yeah, right?? on the r/mtf subreddit, there are so many posts about how they're forced to do t4t because there are not enough lesbians that would be willing to date them, and how that's disheartening. And I'm like do you hear yourself? If there is no problem with dating transbians, shouldn't you be STOKED to be doing t4t?? but apparently not lmao

okay so first of all, I never though that I'd hear the term "hair trauma" used unironically.
and second of all, why do these "transfems" even insist on comparing everyone's suffering in such a derogatory way all the time. I mean I have made different observations about people being bullied for their hair length, but you don't see me walking around comparing different people's "hair trauma"? that seems like such a bizarre past time to me.
and thirdly, even WITHIN THE MADEUP SCENARIO this person uses to make fun of transmascs, the transmasc did get into a ton of trouble for cutting their hair short... just because they don't make a huge fuzz about telling everyone HOW EXACTLY they got into trouble when they cut their hair short doesn't mean it wasn't traumatic as well
so yeah, imagine a world where transmascs actually stood up to these weirdos who want to downplay their experiences all the time and act like they are the permanent winner of the victim olympics.

hey! I saw ur post asking about peaking stories. im not sure, but im guessing peaking means when you realised the whole trans thing was bs? if so then i have a story for that !!
so i used to be a huuuuuge trans supporter, at one point thought i may be a trans man (though i thankfully didn’t come out or change name or do any sort of transition).
then i started to realise the flaws in the logic and distanced myself from the whole thing. but i decided that i would take the approach of “if it’s just people being themselves and it doesn’t affect me, i should be fine with it.”
then one day a man on public transport cyber flashed me and my friends by airdropping penis pictures to us. i knew who it was because there was only one guy on the carriage actually on his phone. he was holding two separate iphones (suspicious as hell) and looking around all sneaky. I can’t fully explain it, but if you were there you’d just KNOW it was him. so i took a picture of him. I decided to report this incident and send in the picture of the guy, hoping something would get done.
when i was spoken to on the phone by the transport people, the staff member basically gaslit me into not putting the report through, told me there was nothing they could do, made me feel like i was overreacting. literally quote he asked “do you feel like a victim?”. sadly i was too young and shy to call him out. i was far too polite about the whole thing.
Anyway, in this interaction he referred to the man doing the airdropping as “he or she”. I remember thinking ‘she???? SHE????’ and i realised that in this world of self identity, there’s nothing to say that he couldn’t have identified as a woman. And I thought to myself, in that scenario, am I meant to think of that as a female-on-female sex crime? would that be how it’s counted in crime statistics? and suddenly everything came crashing down for me. like, wow, trans ideology actually does affect me and isn’t just about self expression and people being themselves. it has serious ramifications on people’s, specifically women’s, lives.
So yeah, that’s when i ‘peaked’ if im using that word correctly lol
yes, you are using that word correctly and WHAT THE FUCK?!?! Why are people like this??? (I mean we know why men are like this, but the staff members???)
I mean I'm glad that you're here now, and I also hope that this experience didn't have any lasting impacts on you because wtf

that is the weirdest. Does this guy actually think that taking estrogen makes you immune to the harmful chemicals used in doing nails?? what exactly is the rationale here?

this is so disgusting. That's how they see us, apparently. How progressive.

You say you have questions (about transgenderism) you'd like to ask in good faith. I can answer them if you'd like, but I will be staying on anon. I will also not tell you my gender or if I am a trans or not as I wish to not be misgendered. My first language is also not english, if that's an issue just ignore this. - 🎓 (the emoji I will be using to identify myself is this, should you accept my offer.)
Hello :) thank you! and no, it's not an issue that you don't speak english as a first language :)
My question would be: What does it feel like to identify as a woman? Like, I genuinely don't know whether I identify as a woman, because there has not really been any explanation of what internal sense of self a person would have to have to identify as a woman.
So yeah, my question is: "What feelings and/or thoughts are required for a person to identify as a woman and how do I know whether I identify as one?"
(and it would also be very helpful if you didn't use the term "woman" in the explanation, since this is exactly the term which I am confused about and it would not help me if your explanation included terms which we are trying to clarify)
Thank you already! :)

I hate that the dog name list made me realize both my cats have names that are common TIM names. 😢 they are pretty names….
nah I mean those names are popular BECAUSE they are pretty names ahah
I also think that there are cute names on the dog name list, it's just a fact that those names are pretty and the TIMs shouldn't have the power to take them away from you 💪
the only name that is tainted irreversibly is "Alice". there are just too many 50 year old transbians named Alice.
nah just kidding those are cool names and that is why men want them for themselves lmao

men will literally say anything to make their misogyny sound deep and profound lmao
nah man, saying this bs isn't some profound inside into this guy's soul or something. He just wants to look like the stereotypical woman he desires. why can't you just accept that and instead have to make it sound super deep?

How are trans people a cult when people who live in transphobic households or in the country's where being trans/gay is illegal ie rape or death sentence are still trans
hey :) so first of all, I did not say that trans PEOPLE are in a cult. what I consider to be a cult is a certain post-modernist conception of reality, i.e.: identifying as something makes you that thing. the social movement this obviously ridiculous idea has produced is, in my opinion, a cult.
a person who grows up in a deeply sexist household, does not feel at home with sexist pressures and stereotypes and therefore (falsely) assumes that they should have been a member of the opposite sex are not a cult. (also they are not a cult because a person cannot be a cult, obviously)
when I say "trans rights advocates", I don't mean every trans person. I mean the people who act as though they are the chosen spokespeople for this group, even though there are a ton of trans people who disagree with them.

"trans rights advocates" is not a group one can be hateful against, it's an ideological conviction you can disagree with. if you wanted to be hateful, the more appropriate group would be "trans people".
everything is "bad faith" to you if it is just remotely critical of your viewpoint.
I'd love to be proven wrong though, as i have plenty of questions I'd love to ask in good faith

"Females" by Andrea Long Chu peaked me. I already had my reservations about gender ideology and liberal feminism, but I considered myself to be a "bad feminist," not a full on TRA. I also agreed with JKR. But that book fully peaked me and then a couple months Iater I made this blog and started reading Dworkin, lmao. I'm still not a radfem (like I already married a man and I love him) but I'm aligned with most radfem beliefs and they are cathartic spaces to be in.
Wow, I read Judith Butler and it was also such a relief to find that even the best "intellectuals" on the trans ID side of the debate are so incredibly stupid that I could safely assume a gender critical viewpoint without serious risk of being "on the wrong side". I mean, my opinion could change again, but I have yet to have found an argument to convince me.
Also, which of Dworkin's works do you consider best for beginners?
And not to go into this debate but I really don't see how you can't be a radfem and be happily married to a man. For all I know, Dworkin was too? (I mean you could argue that she wasn't really a radfem but if those are the standards, how are we ever going to build female solidarity or elicit change lol)
