If you find the job you love, it will still feel like work. It can still have terrible days, or even worse than terrible days. There can still be aspects about it that you do not enjoy and that is normal. But a job should never be soul crushing, especially not daily. You deserve to have a job that also gives you something back. Whether it be confidence, knowledge, a fun work enviroment, whatever it is. You deserve to feel good.

For as long as nobody finds my dead body two weeks after my death in a filthy apartment with no furniture, stuck between the entryway and bathroom in such a strange way that they have to take the bathroom door off its hinges to remove my corpse from the premises, and the only reason anyone was looking for my dead ass in the first place instead of just rotting there until the neighbours would start complaining about the smell was because I owed somebody money, I don't think I need to worry about turning into my father.

You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. It's okay to take time to dry off and warm up. Take the time you need to process what happened to you.

It's a lot healthier to go for a daily walk than to sign up for a gym membership you won't be using because you hate that kind of exercise. It's a lot healthier to eat a frozen meal than to skip a meal because you were too tired to cook something healthy. It's a lot healthier to take a quick shower than to procrastinate an elaborate routine for days. Don't aim so high that you won't be hitting anything!

One of the most dangerous things in the world is not being able to say no to people because you don't want to upset them or dissapoint them. This will completely ruin your life in every way possible, at work, in your private life, your sex life and your friendships. It's a way of removing your own consent in your own decisions and go against your wishes, it is always a crime against yourself. Let yourself have a say. Upsetting people is better than traumatizing yourself.

If you are feeling good about yourself or situation and then your mood suddenly shifts leaving you feeling insecure, unsure, etc. try to remind yourself that nothing has truly changed but your perception. Your cute outfit did not suddenly become horrid. Your delicious meal did not tranform into a terrible one. Your peers perception of you has not radically transformed over a social misstep. Everything we experience is put through it through our mental filter, and that can convince us that everyone else sees us with the judgement we have for ourselves. Be kind to yourself.
