There’s a few things going on with this statement.

1. Assuming that low empathy makes someone a bad person. It does not. Actions are what matter, not empathy levels.

2. Demonizing autistic people whose low/no empathy they attribute to their autism. Autism fundamentally impacts the way you interact with the world, others, and yourself. That includes empathy.

Anyway I love you people with low/no empathy this is a safe space for you <3

I love the scene where Anna kisses Dean and they cut to Cas every two seconds and he just looks like he's witnessed someone get hit by a car, most people interpret that look as jealousy, which I somewhat agree with but what this actually was, was the exact moment where Cas thought "I didn't know angels could do that",

also at that point Cas and Dean didn't have much of a thing going on yet for Cas to get jelous in that way, it was more of a "If Anna did it, I could have done it too" look, he entertained the idea of free will because that interaction alone made him understand he had options other than 'obeying heavens orders' and what do you know, a couple episodes later he comes running to Anna talking about "considering disobedience" against gods rule. The kiss got to his head. I love that stupid little angel

reminder: shifting is real. you’re going to have memories from when you were a kid or random interactions with people you knew back then. even the dream you may have had when you were 10... oh and perhaps the supermarket you visited with your parents 6 years ago? your life in your dr doesn’t start from the moment you shift there. life is still life. don’t treat your dr as a ‘magical‘ place.

The original Lilo & Stitch empowered and lionised Nani for her quiet, selfless sacrifices in choosing to look after Lilo, whereas the remake almost seems to shame her for it.

Yeah, fuck choosing to put your own dreams aside to care for your literal last family member. You gotta put yourself first, or you're an idiot if you don't!

It's such a strangely cynical way to treat the original film's arguably best character, and it fundamentally misunderstands her and the story as a whole.

When it's not about aliens and experiments, the original Lilo & Stitch is a bittersweet, hard-hitting story about making sacrifices for the people you love, and Nani as a character fully embodies that theme. Sometimes a simple, easy solution isn't possible, and you have to find your happiness and your ohana in less conventional ways.

But instead, the remake gives Nani a "have your cake and eat it" ending where there is a simple, easy solution, and they have to actively change the story and add a whole new neighbour character just to make it happen.

It not only completely misses the point of the original's message, but it doesn't even make sense in its own narrative when this apparently could have just been the solution from the start (yet was never mentioned as an option at any point before this), making the entire story a pointless waste of time.

There are other Disney remakes that are objectively worse films, but from a writing standpoint this one fumbles its source material the worst in just about every aspect.

I started this over a year ago and came back to it periodically, but I decided to just finally finish it. It’s morphed, undone itself, and transformed many times in the process of illustrating it. Sincerely, I considered giving up on the piece. I am glad I didn’t despite its awkwardness; I admit that it doesn’t sit in the eye well. But somehow I feel that it suits the piece and what it means.

I am, if anything, relieved to have finished an illustration finally. It’s been nearly eight months since my last. Prints are available in my shop. (I also have mini prints for $5cad/$3.40usd!)

They didn’t even wait until the 19th to ban TikTok. Honestly I hope people realize how big this situation is. TikTok was a news outlet for a lot of Americans who couldn’t get proper news and information (especially when their own news stations are just propaganda and fake news we don’t need to hear), it was also a home to many small businesses and people just trying to make a living. The US government is NOT banning it because of “data” or whatever shit they made up—they are banning it to control the masses and more than just that. This is bullshit.

The reason Goncharov was fun and worked well is because Tumblr didn’t plan for it, we just “yes and” it, everyone went with it and added to it with no planning while TikTok people with Zepotha are trying to recreate that by deciding to start a trend and tell people this movie existed, there isn’t even much more than “you look like this character” and sometimes people saying it was actually them.

Days in the League of Assassins and being a babysitter: Little Damian, 5 y.o.

Jason and young Damian were in a training room, tasked with fighting each other so Ra's al Ghul could train his grandson.

Ra’s (frustrated): Jason, you’ve been standing there for fifteen minutes. Spar! Begin!

Jason (flatly while checking his fingernails for any hang nails): No.

Ra’s: I need to see if he can fight! Fight the boy, he can handle it!

Little Damian held up his tiny fists, circling them around and ready to fight. Jason shook his head with a smile making Damian pause and sway back and forth.

Jason: This is fucked up, and I’m not doing it. Don’t say fucked, Damian.

Damian nodded silently. He looked down at his shoes, opening and closing them as if he were a penguin.

Jason (holding his arm out towards Damian): I’m not attacking him. He’s not at the piss-me-off age yet!

Ra’s: Allah, give me patience. You’re not around him all the time, I am! He's a true terror most of the time. Just look at that face!

Jason glanced at Damian, who slowly blinked frog-like, then waved at his brother.

Jason (sarcastic): Uh-huh, real demon child. Looks like he'll suck my soul. Well… he is related to you.

Ra’s: اذهب إلى الجحيم — that’s a compliment if anything! Don’t repeat the first part, Damian.

Damian: Okay. Akhi Jason, what’s that on your shoe?

Jason looked down at his shoes, confused, only to be met with a staff to the head. He winced, clutching his sore head, ready to fight, until he realized it was Damian who had hit him.

Damian (snickering): Got you. Now fall down or be prepared for another bop to the head!

Jason rolled his eyes but dramatically fell to the ground to give Damian the win. The little boy pressed his foot on Jason’s arm, triumphant.

Damian: I win!

Ra’s: That doesn’t—

Jason: Ra’s, finish that sentence, and I’m shooting you in the kneecaps!

Ra's: Oh, fine! Damian, you win. Adequate job.

Jason (handing Damian candy from his pocket): Here ya go.

Damian (happy): A fruit chew!

Ra's: Stop giving him American sweets!

I saw numerous videos on this and I just wanted to add my two cents that no one asked for, yes you can shift with your eyes open, and yes you can shift on command. It's often said in the shifting community that there are no rules, yet people still have such strange limiting beliefs. If YOU do not believe that you can shift with your eyes open/on command then that's on YOU. There is no precedent when it comes to shifting, there is no action everyone must take to do it. You can shift while shitting on the toilet, you can shift while you sleep, you can shift while at school, you can shift while at work. There is no designated time to shift, shifting is NOW. Stop relying on your body/senses to give you confirmation, your body has nothing to do with shifting.

If you want to shift, shift however you want to; it is 110% up to you. Some people like getting into a meditative state, others don't like doing a method at all. Either way you can do it, there are multiple paths you can take and each one leads to shifting. Do not let anyone discourage you by saying you have to do it a certain way There is no WRONG way to shift, shift how YOU want to.

In one of my posts I compared shifting to making red beans & rice (so southern I know) but I view shifting as cooking. There are multiple ways to make a dish, you don't have to use the same ingredients. If you like doing something then add it to your recipe. You can do ANYTHING and shift, don't let people get you down.

Showed my work to family and the response was, well, let's just go with less than enthusiastic... Not unkind, but it left me feeling like a child seeking validation, which is stupid. I'm not, I'm just (apparently) really bad at reading people. I don't pick up on the subtleties so if someone says they like a thing, I share more of it, not realizing that maybe they were just being polite.

Take this blanket (pattern: cosmic cal by Helen Shrimpton), for example . A while back, I gifted it to my mother only for her to immediately give it away. If I'd realized she wouldn't value it, I'd have kept it for myself. And yet still, here I am, trying to share things with people who clearly are not interested. 😒 Am I a hopeful optimist, an idiot or just a slow learner?

Rhetorical question, by the way. This really is just a long winded way of venting into the void and saying, sod it. From now on I'm going to do this stuff for myself. My art. My enjoyment. The way I should have approached it from the start.
