i am completely flabbergasted that this has gotten so many notes. I feel like I am in a fever dream. I also feel like I am in very, very good company.

10 notes - I'll set alarms to actually care for myself

50 notes - set up a daily productivity system so I stop wasting my time doing nothing.

500 notes - get a bra & a whole bunch of other affirming clothing !!!

1k - tell my dad that my gf is also trans

2.5k - ask my dad to address me by my prefferred name & pronouns 1k went pretty poorly, so I dont feel super comfortable making an attempt on this.

5k - try to get therapy/psychologist

10k - girl mode at all times (start actively wearing makeup/clothing/doing voice training around people at all times)

50k - try for HRT (0% chance) (also no guarantee on this one)

Asfgg. It feels surprisingly good to have a bunch of strangers who want me to be happy

I have now set up alarms for eating, waking up, and hygene related stuff. I seriously doubt we get to 500, but this has made me significantly happier •Ꮂ•

Um. Wow. Its been a day, and we're almost at 300. Everything 500 & below was supposed to be things I'd do with minimal intervention. But now, we're getting to the scarier stuff. I am very intimidated, but also excited

Welp. I told him about my girlfriend. And things went about as poorly as expected. He said that Im parroting what other people think. Slowly taking little parts of them, and applying them to myself. Specifically, being trans. He didnt even leave it to maybes. He said with certainty that I was copying everyone else. I know 9 trans people total. Only 2 of them are my close friends. Everyone else, Im barely aquaintences with. I should have told him that regardless of whatever theories he has, this has boosted my confidence massively. Slightly less excited for 2.5k notes. At least everything after that is very positive. And at least this lets me talk about my girlfriend for ages. I dont have to say her deadname through gritted teeth. Oh context. He already knows Im trans but was ignoring it.

Thank all of you so much. At first when I got the skirt, I was pretty intimidated by the idea of showing my legs. I thought everyone will just see me as a man. You and Yoichi had a very straightforward relationship - bully and bullied

You were a timid kinda guy - liked by many but no one would stick their neck out for you

So you were what Yoichi would call "an easy target"

It was non-stop 24/7

Every time Yoichi saw you he would find some way to pick on you or tease you

His antics varied from small comments to threatening to beat the shit out of you

His actions never actually matching his words but he got the message across

You could see it in Yoichi's eyes that he couldn't bring himself to hit you for no reason

Once your eyes were graced with the scruffy purple locks and ragged body of the muscular man, your ears would be equally graced with snide comments

"God! You're so pathetic, [Nickname]"

"Fucking hell you're so weak!"

And if you'd try to ignore the taller man, he would get personally offended

"Oh, what? So I'm not worth your time now, am I, [Name]?"

Being the compassionate person that you are, you tried to understand why Yoichi was the way he was - he had a rough childhood and practically no family

But fuck did it get harder and harder to understand that bully!

With the camp sports day coming up, tension was clearly building within your cabin

The main person creating the tension being Yoichi

So when the purple-haired man shouted at you for the 5th time today for not being able to climb a ten-foot fucking rope - you felt something in you snap

The man towered over you, shirtless from his own training - annoyance visible on his face

But for the first time since your little relationship had begun, you matched his expression

"Is climbing a rope that fucking hard, [Nickname]?" Yoichi teases you, his tone oozing petty annoyance

"How 'bout you just shut the hell up, Wolf Boy!?"

You gagged him a little bit with that one

Yoichi had never seen you snap back at him, he was left speechless for long enough to allow you to hit him with more

"Just 'cause you're insecure about yourself doesn't mean you have to fucking harass me y'know?!" You shout, pushing your hands against the hunk's muscular chest, pushing him backwards

"A-At least I-I ca-an use my muscles-"

"Wow! Can't even form a sentence now can you? Just fuck off you bonehead!" You keep shouting at the speechless man

Yoichi should be getting mad at you right now

He's supposed to be annoyed and be mouthing off back at you with a pissed-off scowl on his face

But instead, the rugged man is... blushing???

Barely anyone snaps back at him when he teases them - especially not you!

Why was his heart beating faster by the second?

And why could Yoichi only focus on how your body was moving with anger and sass?

"What? Can't mouth off anymore, can ya?" You tease the wolf boy, crossing your arms across your chest and looking up into Yoichi's eyes with slight disgust

In the span of 2 seconds, it clicked in Yoichi's brain what was happening to him

So just like a wild animal, he acted on his instincts and feelings

"What can I say, [Name]? I get speechless when I'm around ya~" The muscular man FLIRTS with you

"HUH?! W-What are you on about now?!" You stammer out, a blush rushing to your cheeks as you avert your eyes

Yoichi moves closer to you, so you move backwards out of nervousness

You two move closer and farther from one another until your back hits the wall of the rope climb - Yoichi cornering you

"Heh... I'd never noticed you were so cute, shortie" Yoichi teases, his arm resting on the wall above your head

"F-Fuck off!" You say as you keep blushing, gently pushing your hands against Yoichi's chests

'Fuck he's so buff...' you think to yourself as you push against his massive pecs

"Ha! Alright alright... I'll see ya 'round, shortie~" Yoichi flirts as he turns around, waving goodbye to you without giving you a single glance

'What the fuck just got into him? AND WHY AM I HARD?!' You think to yourself, almost hyperventilating from the mix of emotions and panic you were feeling

Which was justified, your longtime bully just randomly started flirting with you

Calling you 'shortie' and 'cute'! Who just randomly does that?!

And it didn't help that you shared a cabin with the muscular man

So when you saw him later that night, all he did was give you a smirk and a wink

You just tried your best to ignore him, heading straight for the bathroom to change into your pj's

The rest of the guys could tell something was off, you'd usually chat with all of them before changing

And Yoichi was never this silent, he was clearly lost in thought - which was rare since Yoichi barely ever used his brain!

Randomly, Yoichi goes towards the bathroom - once again following his instincts to just see you and tease you

He barges in on you changing

You jolt up and freeze at the sound of the door banging open

Silence fills the room as Yoichi gets practically entranced by your ass - a blush sprouting on his face as he bares his teeth in a grin

You turn around slightly to see the taller man eyeing you down - your turn also reveals your soft dick

"Damn, shortie~ Giving me quite the show aren't ya?" Yoichi says with a teasing smile, eyeing up your body

You were speechless, but you could still force your muscles to throw whatever was in your hand at the rugged man

"You pervert!" You shout, the item of clothing in your hand landing directly on Yoichi's face

It just so happened that the item of clothing was your underwear...

The purple-haired man grabs the worn boxers and bunches them up - making a comment about them being cute or funny then giving you a horny smirk

Chapter I

Part 2/4

"Hey sleepyhead, now it's really time to get up!"

I growled and turned my face into the sheets, trying to stay in the comfortable warmth of the bed a little longer.

"Geez, I've never seen anybody sleep so well. It shows you were a sheltered little Daddy's girl."

I huffed and threw a deadly glance at the figure that dared to pull me out of my sweet dreams.

Silco now was in trousers, and a fresh, red shirt hung unbuttoned around his frame. His hair came loose, making him look younger. The shadow of his stubble was still there. "Our bath is ready," he announced.

Exchanging the warmth of the bed for the warmth of a tub suddenly didn't seem as bad anymore. As I crawled out of the sheets, the muscles of my thighs feeling sore, he handed me a worn-out bathrobe. Right, the bathroom was in the hallway.

He still checked the outside, before shooing me down the hall and into a tiny room with no windows, sparse lighting and old, rusty appliances.

The tub was nothing more but a zinc vat, and imagining Silco alone in this thing involved fairly tucked-up legs.

As I let the bathrobe glide to the ground sloppily, Silco neatly placed his clothes on the toilet lid. I felt a little awkward watching him get undressed now that the heat of the night was gone.

He stepped into the tub first, offering me a hand, so I'd join him. At least the water was pleasantly warm. My back to his chest, we sat down, and some water instantly spilled over. It was really narrow but also cozy just sitting there, quietly enjoying each other's company. Silco washed my back, my neck, my arms. He left me shivering as he went on to kiss every part that he just hand cleaned. He continued teasing the sensitive skin of the crook of my neck, even after playfully telling him to stop it.

I was getting on my knees vigorously and turned to face him. As I punched his chest half-serious, I sent a wave out of the tub. "I told you to stop it!"

"Wow, careful kid, the good warm water," he chuckled, taking my wrists in his hands and pulling me in for a kiss. "My neighbors won't have any for the rest of the day because of us."

"I don't care." I returned, sticking out my tongue.

Silco clicked his tongue. "Damn, you are a brat, aren't you?" He pulled me in for another kiss, that quickly got heated. "Wow, careful kid. You're quite insatiable, aren't you?"

I rolled my eyes teasingly and gave him a sly smile. "I can't be helped with such a handsome man naked with me in the tub."

"No, no, no, you're getting a few days off, to recover."

I pouted and put my chin on his shoulder. "Man, I hate it when you're right. I really do feel sore."

He placed a hand on my back. "There, there, I'll try not to be as handsome."

"Impossible," I moaned dramatically, embracing his hug. We stayed like this until the water had run cold and somebody kept knocking on the bathroom door.

Silco got fully dressed and told me to sneak back into his apartment. "I'll be right back. Just look through my nightstand and take something to wear, you like."

I nodded, tiptoed through the hallway, and back into his room. In the tiny drawer right next to his bed, I found his shirts and sweaters neatly aligned, but there were no comfortable pants to be found. I got into my yesterday's underwear and just slipped into a gray sweater that at least managed to cover my ass. While waiting for Silco to return, I went over the books in the massive case on the wall. Tipping the backs with my pointer, I browsed the titles and found a great variation of literature. Very few seemed to be actual fiction books, most of them were political commentaries and manifests, socio-economic stuff and even some books about bookkeeping. I was also surprised to find a whole shelf full of chemistry books. As I scanned the fictional books more intensely to get a sense of what he might find entertaining, the apartment door was opened, and Silco, fresh as a new coin, entered.

He just rolled up his sleeves as he noticed me standing there.

"Have you read all of these?"

He shrugged slightly and stepped next to me. "Mostly. I dropped some when I didn't like them, but other than that, yes."

I didn't know many people that were that bookish. A lot of people, I knew, couldn't even read. I myself wasn't that bookish, had always been more into numbers. "Which is your favorite?"

Silco snorted. He ran a digit over his lower lip, fixed onto the back of all his books. "That's a tough one. I don't think I have one."

"Then which of them would you say I'd have to read?"

He pointed to a book with a dark blue cover - a real tome.

"The ABC of accounting?", I raised an eyebrow. "You serious?"

"You want to be better than Claus? He's not keeping his books very serious, so you need to." He looked at me with a crooked smile. "Not quite the answer you were hoping for?"

"I know the basics of accounting. Gimme something better."

He pointed at a similar book right next to the first one.

Advanced accounting.

"You think you're hilarious, right?"

"No, I don't have a good sense of humor. No, seriously, if you're interested in any of them, just take it and read it. It's not the secret library of Piltover, I don't care. Just don't mess up the order."

"Ah," I stretched. "I think, I'll pass for now."

He ruffled my still damp hair. "Are you hungry? I don't have much here, but better than nothing."

Indeed, I was starving.

1. how many works do you have on ao3?

currently 65! i've orphaned several over the years though. unfortunately i am an Extremely Slow Writer so i always wanna see this number go up and it never goes as fast as i want it to :') we can hit 67 this year... surely....

2. what's your total ao3 word count?

847,778! used to be higher (more in the 950k range) prior to orphaning, i'm not sure if i've actually written over a million words or not at this point? v excited for the day that milestone actually shows up in my stats though! my current wips could tip me over, we'll see how it goes... 👀

3. what fandoms do you write for?

currently hannibal and stranger things! i've bounced around many fandoms in my day, but my most significant contributions thus far have been for mcr/bandom and the magnus archives. really hoping i end up writing enough for my current fandoms that i can consider them part of that shortlist too!! :-)

4. top five fics by kudos

like a moth to light (like a beast to bait) / 2117 kudos, save that heart for me / 1480 kudos, how particular, my fondness of you / 1445 kudos, convicted criminals of thought / 1177 kudos, and questionable decisions / 847 kudos! wow, that last one took me by surprise, it was such a jokey little fic i often forget about it. nice to look back at these and see things with over 1k kudos though, i remember that being an unattainable pipe dream back when i was writing mcr in the dead era that was 2017 :')

5. do you respond to comments?

i often do! i try to respond to every comment i get when a fic is published, and i like to respond much later on as well, it just tends to slip my mind if it's an older fic. stuff gets lost in my inbox. i certainly read every comment though, and the comments left on older fics are often the ones that make me happiest!

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

hmmm... i mostly write happy endings unless they're character studies. the true angstiest ending i've written is for a fic i haven't posted yet (hint: it's a sequel to a oneshot of mine!) but i do have short fics about both michael and gerry's deaths in tma? i'll go with the gerry death fic, thinking of the sun.

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

they're mostly happy!!! but the one that ends most on a note of Joy, i think, would be rosemary and thyme, my fae!martin au :-)

8. do you get hate on fics?

nah. i have an extremely vague memory of getting a comment that made me go "omg my first hate comment" but like it's so vague that i can't tell if it's a false memory or not 😭 people have always been quite nice to me, thankfully!

9. do you write smut?

i do! i tried to avoid it whenever i could when i was younger but these days i've actually become super interested in sex as a vehicle for character studies. that tumblr post that's like "the plot of this smut fic is that character A believes himself abandoned by god" is one HUNDRED percent my approach recently, definitely expect some of that upcoming on my ao3 lolll

10. craziest crossover?

i don't really write crossovers! i like them in comic/fanart form, but i tend to be less interested in crossover fic (unless it's HEU, i do quite like spacedogs)... the only times i've ever thought about creating crossover content myself were for a couple pacrim fusion ideas!

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

eh, not really. a long time ago i did have someone basically rip the worldbuilding from one of my AUs with the serial numbers filed off, but they did ask permission - i said yes because i was like 16 and felt too awkward saying no. so that was weird! but not quite stealing.

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

yes!! to steal a kiss from borrowed lips was translated into russian, such an honor :D

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

i have, a really long time ago. i don't think i would do it again (unless it was with, like, one of two specific irls) bc i think i'd struggle with figuring out a collaborative workflow. part of me also thinks it could be a fun exercise though...

14. all time favorite ship?

OUGH..... mannnn what a question. it changes every few years and i feel like my response is influenced by not just the source material, but the quality of the fan content and the fandom interactions i've had... you know what? i know i have current-hyperfixation bias, but for now i am gonna say hannigram. it's just too peak.

15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Too Many Of Them - but in particular, my chrissy cunningham-centric longfic. it's an entire treatise on sapphic loneliness and small-town queer isolation and i do think it'd be a fucking masterpiece if i ever managed to commit to it, but it's on the forever back-burner i think.

16. what are your writing strengths?

hmm... characterization through dialogue is the main thing, i'd say. i'm always thinking about how to match a given character's speech patterns and i think i tend to capture their voices pretty well!

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

i'm my own biggest critic so i could list a bunch, but pacing is a big one. i tend to let things run too long and i feel like i've only just managed to balance it better in my current wip... only took a decade of fic-writing to get there 😭

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?

depends a lot on context. honestly too many thoughts to condense well into an answer for this djglfg but in short: usually nice if it's just a few words, but can get unwieldy otherwise

19. first fandom you wrote in?

kuroshitsuji 💀 self-insert and OC-centric fic. how very unlike me

20. favorite fic you've written?

moth to light has been the reigning champ for a while now, but i think several of my current wips could potentially unseat it!

also a huge bookworm, but I'm the most insane reader I know cause I'll go from murder mystery to happy romance to the saddest book you'll ever read.

you already know i think you're one of the coolest people on here and that ily, which is why i'm trusting you with the heart of none other than steve harrington.

ya know the drill. don't make me say it. okay i'll say it let me explain-

so here's the thing - we know steve harrington has a type. i've touched on it before i'm almost positive. he likes the nerds, he loves to listen to rambles and be left in lovesick shock. he'd listen to every rant about every book you read no matter the subject matter. but what really got me is that you're an ABBA stan but don't like mamma mia. because i headcanon steve as an ABBA stan as well, and modern steve would be a menace about mamma mia. he loves it, it's a comfort movie. as a matter of fact, your first conversation with him would probably be an argument because he defends it with his life, and it's just not your cup of tea. and steve knows it's fine, even as he goes red in the face defending the movie, and when he left the argument somehow still smiling despite the personal offense he should have walked away with, he figured he might just be smiling at the opportunity to talk about his favorite movie.

it wasn't the movie. it was you.

you didn't leave his head for days, and when he finally gets the nerve to ask you out, he's a goddamn mess. stuttering over his words, completely flushed pink, just... a mess. a beautiful, sincere, hopeless romantic of a mess. he's never been happier to embarrass himself in such a way, because in the end, it all worked out. now, he gets to spend his days watching you play your instruments, listens to you try to explain the mechanics of the instrument as it goes in one ear and out the other. he's never been good with musical ability - he's never had very good hand-eye coordination, he can never quite catch on when an instrument is a smidge out of tune, and he just frustrates himself to no end when trying to learn them. but you're patient, and you wow him endlessly, and it's a sacrifice he's willing to make. you keep on his toes; from that first conversation, you challenge steve harrington, and he'll never tire of it. and if you offer to teach him some ABBA on one of his instruments, how can he say no? he's got a smile on his face the entire time, absolutely glowing even though he knows he's not hitting most of the notes, and he doesn't miss the way you cringe when his instrument is ever so slightly out of tune, something he didn't even notice until you reacted. it's awful and could be taken as pathetic, but that afternoon with you becomes one of his absolute favorite memories.

the song you attempted to teach him, why did it have to be me?, becomes yours and his song. and in steve harrington's defense, he may not be able to play the song worth a shit on an instrument, but boy oh boy, does he get to have a field day with it when you two decide to pick it as a duet for karaoke night with the gang.

I am a fundamentally different person than I was before I tried to color this, and anyone who’s tried to color either Lucifer s1 or Lucifer 5x16 (let alone both at once) knows why

you don’t know how long you’ve been walking

you know you should probably be keeping track of the trail the mandalorian is so intent on sticking to

in case you need to make a quick exit

sure, he’s made it clear that he has no immediate plans on killing you

but still, call it a force of habit

it’s always good to have a plan B!

though, instead of plotting your escape path, you find yourself glaring at the back of his head

the setting sun rays bounce off the reflective surface and into your eyes

you wince once again, reminding yourself to pay attention for maker’s sake

you’re painfully aware of the biting cold

the trees don’t serve to be of much help either, the leaves have all fallen and the non-existent tree canopy does nothing to keep in any semblance of heat

your hands raise to tighten the scarf around your neck you grumble in annoyance behind your helmet

“please explain to me again why you needed me to track your bounty with you?”

he remains silent, weaving through the tree trunks with the same vigour as when you started your journey

you already know the answer, but if he’s going to drag you into a freezing woodland for god knows how many hours on end, you may as well get some entertainment

for some reason, the mandalorian doesn’t trust you

shocker

you haven’t given him much reason to do so, but he would argue that you haven’t done anything to persuade him otherwise

that one time where you slipped out of his line of sight to get something or other definitely did not help your case

“Suffering together just seems counter-productive, you know? I could be doing much more back on our ship, in the warm, might I add!”

he scoffs at that, “you’re crazier than I thought if you think I’d leave you alone on my ship.”

you take great offense

“what, like I’m going to steal it?” 

he stops in his tracks

you can feel the deadpan as his visor tilts towards you

you shove him back into pace with a roll of your eyes, “fine.”

he only lets up twice throughout the journey, allowing you to catch your breath and for him to scope out your surroundings (it’s bleak— dead trees for as far as the eye can see, and then some)

you collapse onto a nearby log and the feeling of the frosted surface bleeding into your trousers makes you wince

yeah, you’re a bounty hunter— what about it?

Mando returns and tells you that the log you’re sitting on will be where you sleep tonight

yes sir!!!!! no arguments there!!!

Mando breathes a sign of relief when you settle back with no qualms

you expect him to sit— rest, perhaps, but no

he just stands in front of you expectantly

you crane your neck to meet his visor with your own

um hi?? he’s invading your bubble

“firewood.”

you sigh, suppressing a groan and stand, quite cooperatively

someone has to take the first step

it takes hours, all your remaining energy and patience to fill your arms with enough bark that isn’t soggy from the snow

the mandalorian takes mercy when you return to the site and takes it upon himself to start the fire

not long later you sit beside the flickering flames as you toss the kid slivers of meat from the pack Mando handed you

the kid is curled up on your lap, his face buried beneath his robes

his green nose has taken on a red tint and you tap it with a chuckle

the kid snatches up the remaining meat in your grasp and waddles closer towards the fire

ouch

“You know, Mando,” you sigh, regarding the mandalorian across the fire

he doesn’t seem to notice the cold

that beskar must really be cost-effective

“if we’re going to work together, we have to trust each other.”

his helmet tilts and the man shifts his weight

someone’s antsy

you know he’s hesitating 

the gears spinning in his head are loud

“For the kid?” You murmur, lowering your gaze to the bundle sat at your feet

Mando’s line of sight follows and his stony resolve cracks

“Okay,” he says, so soft you barely hear it over the crackle of the fire

your gloves come up to remove your helmet

it’s been a long day

when the mask comes off, you blink to adjust to seeing without the barrier

wow was it stuffY in there

you immediately notice Mando has averted his eyes

his helmet is tilted all the way away from you

then you realise that even on the Crest, he’s never come across you without your helmet on

the smile that reaches your face isn’t snarky, for once

it’s gentle and something flares in your chest

honour, maybe? though you don’t have much experience with thaT

“It’s okay,” you say, “you can look.”

he hesitates once more, but eventually he does

stars, you’re pretty

you don’t look at all like any of the bounty hunters he’s come across

not sure whether that’s a good thing or not

even your puck had been a holo of your helmet

you definitely don’t look how he had pictured

“I’m not a Mandalorian,” you state quite plainly, “this thing does nothing more than hide my face and give me a headache.”

he stays unmoving, visor trained intently on your now-exposed eyes

ah, a man of so many words

“is,,,, is there something on my face?” your eyes widen a smidge, fingers brushing across your cheeks

then, Mando clears his throat and shakes his head

“No. No, you’re good.”

your face falls and with a shrug, you go back to eating

meanwhile your heart’s going eeeEEEEeeeeEEEE

you doze off soon after you finish your portion

when you stir, you notice the fire’s gone out

that’s why it’s fucking freezing

you defeatedly pull your parka tighter around your shoulders and nuzzle your face deeper into the woolen scarf

heat eludes you

in your bleary state, you barely notice Mando shifting around the charred logs and settling beside you

your eyelids flutter

sleep does not elude you

the cold from his beskar makes you recoil

then, the last thing you register before you go under once more is something draping across your front

the next morning, you wake to thawed snow and a heavy cape tucked under your chin

This is a bit long... so I’ll just add the break not to bother people with my ramblings. 

1. Why did you choose your url? I created tumblr because of a fanfic, and I've been reading them since I was 11. And I will always love fanfic. Fanfic is the answer to all life's problems and bad canons. I can't imagine living in the world where I don't have fanfic to continue a world I love or to fix issues in a world that was promising, or just to wait until the next bit of canon came out. You have to imagine I started reading fanfic when there were only 2 Harry Potter books available and I was waiting for the translation of the third one (that came out end of 2000, and yes I was reading fics by then). So yeah... I wanted something related to fanfics, and I really am terrible about online identities. Probably should've used something more creative, but oh well. I like it well enough now, it is one that applies to all fandoms I love.

2. Any side-blogs? If you have them, name them and why you have them. Yes, I have @randomsideposts as my attempt to create a tag system and save my favorite posts. I failed. I also have @kenshin-and-maki for my cats, and a third unnamed one as sort of a journal/vent blog, for those times I just need to write stuff down and I don't want to keep things to myself. No one follows me and that's the way I like it. It's kind of dark.

3. How long have you been on tumblr? A year and a half only lol a baby by Tumblr standards.

4: Do you have a queue tag? Me? Organization? What? Jokes aside, I don't really like queueing stuff. I'm either here or I'm not. I'll schedule a post for a random future time, just so I don't forget the post, but a time I know I'll be online to interact with it/the reactions to it. I do that when (for example) Louis posts and I see posts that are not related to that that I'd like to reblog, but not right at that moment.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? Because of a cute Larry fic where Louis and Harry become mutuals without knowing they're the other one. I liked the dynamic they described of how Tumblr worked and I wanted to see if it really was like that, because my previous experiences with Tumblr were... confusing enough that I didn't stick around for more than 20 minutes.

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp? It's Louis and Liam, who are definitely my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I love all the boys, but Liam and Louis (and their friendship) are just really special to me. And this pic is just... so cute. Also, @whatagreatproblemtohave and @evilovesyou demanded either me or @promisethatillnevertell change our profile picture, and that we should duel to see who would keep it because it was getting confusing lol (it was one of the outtakes of the House of Solo photoshoot). I would never fight Lou so I changed it. And I love it because it has my two boys 😁💕

7. Why did you choose your header? Because the livestream was so awesome and even if it's blurry i like it. Also, I never use the desktop version of Tumblr so it's probably a mess, but I like what I see on my mobile so it'll stay.

8. Whats your post with the most notes? Probably my Youtube comments about Louis? I know it has over 1k notes, which... wow.  Also, my little wistful post about keeping the livestream format after lockdown did ok too.

15. How do you feel about “you need to reblog” posts? I hate them. It is a passive aggressive way of someone thinking their opinion is better than yours, usually has a comment like "if you don't reblog you don't care about this" or "I don't care if it doesn't fit my blog asthetic, I'll reblog it anyway". Congrats? Do you want a star for it? I'll reblog it if I think it has important information, despite these annoying comments, but only once. If it's a post I've seen multiple times, then everyone saw it multiple times.

16. Do you like tag games? Love them, but recently I've been a bit lax. Once you start saving them in your drafts, it snowballs into unmanageable levels.

Oh, it’s many… once, I am into something, I have to write in that – surprisingly I am addicted to DP for nearly a year, and nothing else.

(But little bit of history, from the newest to the oldest: Danny Phantom, The Irregulars (that was really a short one), Guardians of Childhood/Rise of the Guardians (my very first finished multi-chaptered one was in that), Dark, Charmed (the old one, not the new series), Gravity Falls, Venom, Doctor Who, a crossover within Tangled: The Series and Milo Murphy’s Law, Death Note/Death Note: Another Note; and I had some ideas about a Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls crossover, and it seems I never uploaded here my concept about a not crossover Tangled: The Series idea, and either an independent one in Rick and Morty, hm… shame. Most of those are not finished. Okay, like 99% of it…)

5. Which of your fic do you want more attention for?  

Definitely it’s WTPH. It’s my current work. The idea about it came in December, and since that, I am working on that constantly. At first, I had ideas for eight chapters, and nothing else. Now, it grew into this monstrosity: a side-line (Bonds Over Time), and a collection that contains the deleted scenes or ideas that appeared in my mind and could fit into the story (Bits Of The Past), and also an entirely finished concept for Vlad’s past (Certain Moment Of Time), that could be connected to it too.

I also put many headcanons in that, and ticks of characters, and parallels, and layers that I just love: like Vlad having a sister and some details about his family background, Dan having Vlad’s memories too, how the explosion in the Nasty Burger happened and how Dan turned out like that… some precious things, really, but I won’t elaborate much, in case of anyone wants to give a read to it. Overall, I tried to make the TUE-mess into a somewhat more reasonable logical mess – if I managed to do that at all. I don’t know I’m just like a mother with a new-born with it: look, it’s my child! I made it! I developed it! here, hold it! and love it too, as much as I do! (Sorry, I don’t know how that metaphor came…)

Even if it’s a kudo, or a keysmash as a comment, I write back. I mean, if someone writes – literally anything – and spends time with it, I write them back too. (And my very bad habit, that sometimes, if the comment hits an interesting thought, I tend to explain the background behind that more, and accidentally spilling some things I shouldn’t yet... In many cases, it’s like a brainstorming, and then I use that idea. I mean as, for example many of @dp-marvel94’s comments on ff, made me to realise some things, and how then I fixed those forgotten parts made my story along with it much better – once, I will list them, and you’ll be surprised how long is that list, and how obvious things I forgot about entirely…)

7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Okay, I don’t have many finished story – shame on me. So, I’ll count the shorts. I think it’s then Phantom. It rolls around the idea what if in Forever Phantom, Danny can’t change back to Phantom, and his parents blame Phantom for the disappearance of Danny, and they start chasing madly the ghosts, making them leave the human realm once and for all – which means, Danny has to go with them. It’s really a short fic, but I very like this idea, and it was my very first in this fandom. (I was watching DP that time, I mean, getting familiar with it, but this idea got stuck in my head as I watched that episode, so that was my introduction here. Also, I watched my very first DP episode that time, which means, less then a year ago, so, I am that newbie here…) I am not spilling the end of the story, but it doesn’t have a very happy end I could say.

8. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Uh, yes? I have a crossover within Tangled: The Series and Milo Murphy’s Law. It’s unfinished, but that time I thought Milo and Varian have the same vibe, including clumsiness. It was only a short idea that time, but it’s definitely worth once to continue or finish somehow. I have a crossover within Rick and Morty, and Gravity Falls. That is standing within my very big idea, but it’s halfway written on my original language and English and that’s like after how a certain trilogy end, but it has some mentioning of ideas I never finished, so yeah… it’s not even published anywhere. Maybe, once, I’ll decide what language I prefer for that, and translate the other part and then, hardly, but I’ll finish it some day... – or, never, it actually would be a very big bite if I try to imagine it.

9. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I don’t remember to that. I mean, my main story (WTPH) kind of not everyone’s preference, ’cause of Dan, so that’s already divides the readers and I haven’t got all in all many comments yet on my stories (kudos are appreciated too, I am shy too to leave comments on fics, so don’t worry, I get it), so I think I haven’t got any. But I'd be curious to experience if someone reads one of my stories and leaves behind a comment that then criticizing it. I mean, I’d be open to learn what part is not fitting, or just too much. (I am surprised that no one ever mentioned my ’weird’ sentences. I mean for me those make sense, but those make sense for a native English person too? I’m always worried about that…)

10. Do you write smut? if so what kind?

Uh, yeah, I did. Not very proud of it, though I don’t have a heart to orphan that work. I mean, it belongs to me too. Sometimes I wonder to delete some of my works, but then I realise, no, that’s me, I won’t pretend where I came from, and shove into the dustbin my mad thoughts... All in all, my stories now, for a while, are much more family-friendly – if, anything within DP could be really counted as ‘family-friendly’…

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yeah, I was very proud of my story back then, called Metamorphosis (Death Note), and I had a crazy idea and tried to translate it. So now, the first chapter is out there both in English and both in my native language, but I got stuck at the second chapter. I couldn’t translate wisely and logically the title of it to give out the many meaning it has in English. And I once tried to translate California (Gravity Falls) to English, but that would be a hard work, so I left it behind – maybe once…

Over that I sometimes has a crazy idea to translate back and forth my stories, no, beyond that, I haven’t had a fic translated from anyone else. And I think I am the only masochist that it ever crosses my mind, I guess…

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, not really. I’d be curious to once do that – maybe, but I’m not sure...

(To tell the truth, I’d be worried about that. I’d be glad to do that once, but I am anxious if I could understand my co-writer, or not. I mean, do you have any idea that I have to give five reads to any longer comments to understand it? I understand those (and I really love getting those!), but I have to give many reads to make sure I understand those well, and then, making sure, I answer back right, and my sentences make sense. My fics have ’fancy’ words, and I love working in English, but sometimes it’s a curse it’s not my native one. So then, I’m constantly worried about interactions, if I receive well something, and if my sentences are understandable for others or not. So, in short, you can see my struggle here… same reason I don’t do Invisobang, but I am considering it...)

13. What’s your all time favorite ship?

I’m not very much a ship-type. But I count Danny and Sam, as a fix point. (Danny and Val was nice and I’d have been very glad to see them in more episodes, but let’s face it, that wouldn’t work, because both of them are too stubborn to choose their other life and if once, they would face with each other, knowing everything about the other, they’d remain allies or at most very good friends.) If, the question is, what are the ships in my head (but not necessarily just ‘romantic’) that I prefer to read, well, it’s Dan and Valerie. I love their dynamics, especially in Deliverance. I don’t know why I just love reading it. 

For other reasons I ship Dani and Valerie. Though I can’t write romance and stuff like that, but in one of my planned ideas they are dating - sort-of...

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Okay, there are many. Surely, it’s my Gravity Falls story, called California, but that’s a huge one, and the first one in a trilogy (plus some additional side-lines), and mainly in my head for years, so yeah… I think I won’t ever reasonably finish that as it should be finished. A Tale of Fords (Gravity Falls) could be count as one too. Oh, and Envision and ties (Doctor Who). Sad to say, but yeah, I am always saying, “maybe once”, but I am not sure when…

15. What are your writing strengths?

Okay, this is a funny thing, but I’ve realised I can’t deal with many characters at the same time. So, I think my strength are dialogues and interactions within two people. And I get into their thoughts, so I guess if I have to word it somehow: it’s character-studies then.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Can’t handle more than two people. No, seriously, somehow it always turns out, the third is unconscious, sleeping, leaves the room, and so on. I’ve just recognised it recently, and it was a hilarious recognition…

I am also bad at actions, like very very bad, I don’t even try that, because my brain just simple can’t come up with fight-scenes at all. I think I only can write character-studies, and nothing else.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Oh, man… does it count I am not a native English-user? So, technically I ‘always’ write dialogues in another language? But jokes aside, sometimes, I have ideas that the people use another language, and I am like “are you aware, you can’t even write English slang?”, so then, I gave up. Right now, though, I am planning to add ASL in one of my future ideas. I am wrecking my mind, how to do that nicely – but that’s only a forming plan, and dated for next year, currently, I am only collecting ideas for that.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?  

Does it count my very first fic was a fanfiction of one of my friend’s fanfiction in high school? She wrote a really good story – not shared anywhere, we were just giving each other the hand-written exercise book (oh, the old days…). If I remember well, it was a crossover within Supernatural and Queen of the Damned (the movie, not the book). I had no idea about Supernatural, but the story was good, but I was not satisfied with the end, and in secret I wrote another end for it, to myself. I’m not sure where is that anymore, but I clearly remember that was my very first written stuff, and that’s how my origin story began and how is I am here now.

(Oh, and once, I wrote a H2O fanfiction short story to my sister as a name-day present, in which she was a mermaid, discovering her powers during a holiday at a beach (we were at that time in Croatia in a family holiday, so the timing was fitting), and that was one of my very first fandoms to write in it too… God, I have no idea why I wrote it down, it just crossed my mind, and I remember I thought it was cute, I think she was eleven or twelve that time, so I am not sure she appreciated as much as I found it fun to write that…)

19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?  

This is mean… anyway, currently it’s WTPH, for obvious reasons. But I am very proud how the Angst Week turned out (my work for that is called Certain Moment of Time). First of all, I doubted I would be able to write for every day, since I planned to do the whole DannyMay, but things turned out differently and I am still sad, I haven’t done many. But I did not just managed to write for all days, but all could be counted under one idea, and also each of the chapters could be read independently at the same time. It includes a little bit of background story about Vlad, about a rewritten time, his struggles at the hospital, things around Danny’s birth, how Danny managed to survive the Portal incident, how Vlad was informed about the Ghost Boy, and that actually Danny’s separation was just a ‘plan B’ that Vlad tried to avoid… it’s complicated to describe the many things in that, but when I feel WTPH an unescapable mess, and I am frustrated by the lack of proper words to finish the coming chapters, CMOT is my absolute favourite. And I love the whole idea about it. No, I’ll be honest, that’s my beloved so far (just because it’s finished). But I like so much too my idea about Dan and Dani in Bonds Over Time, how they try to live together a normal life… okay, let’s admit it, this question is mean, I seriously can’t tell, and I am thinking right now only my current ones…

20. What fic are you most proud of?  

Okay, this is mean too. I am proud of my old works as much that I always go back to them when I am in a nostalgic mode. (I haven’t read any of my old ones in ages, because I try to avoid distractions, and knowing myself, I’d start thinking about the continuation and never finishing my current works at all...)

I am proud of Pitch’s Secret, because that was my very first multi-chaptered one idea that I actually managed to finish. That in fact, gave me the courage to start working on a multi-chaptered DP one. (My original plan was to be brave and aim doing eight chapters, to top the five, and I would have been very proud of myself, but instead now it’s way longer than that original idea, and I seriously don’t know when it will end – twenty chapters maybe?)

I think, if I don’t include the previous question. (It’s the same, isn’t it?) I am very proud of the first chapter in my Doctor Who fic. That doesn’t tell anything about the plot or about anything, that just gives a very good atmospheric background. Every time I read that, it gives me shivers.

First Impressions (Part 1)

Pairing: Daveed x Reader

Summary: Daveed and Y/N get off on the wrong foot and then realize they have mutual friends.

“Yes, Jas. I know, 6 o’clock. I’ll be there” I said, giggling at how worried she was. Jasmine had called me ten times today, to make sure I knew everything about the rehearsal dinner, including the time and venue.

Jasmine was my best friend, we met in high school and had been best friends since. In two days she was getting married to Anthony, as far as I was concerned, they were as close to soulmates as you could possibly be. They both loved each other with every part of their heart.

I was currently sat in my hotel room watching some of the news on tv before going to bed. Whoever was in the hotel room next door had been kinda noisy all day, but I figured once it got later, the noise would stop.

Here I was, trying to fall asleep, but the noise wouldn’t stop. I couldn’t even tell what the sound was, it almost sounded like music on some speakers.

Just then, it stopped completely. I breathed a sigh of relief and quickly went to bed, before it started again.

I jumped awake, startled by a noise. The music had started again. Actually, I wasn’t sure exactly what it was but, it sounded like someone was rapping. I glanced at the clock and saw that is was 3am.

I realized that I had had enough, I needed sleep and I was going to get it. I don’t know what made me do it, maybe that I was running on no sleep, but I walked right out of my room. I stopped in front of the next door over and I banged on the door.

Within seconds, someone unlocked the door and opened it. There was a man who was standing there, if I was honest, he was really cute. “Oh I’m sorry, did I wake you up?” He asked, sounding really genuine and concerned.

But I couldn’t stop the words that came out of my mouth. “Do you have any idea what time it is? Some people are trying to sleep and you’re making that really hard. How about you have some empathy and stop keeping people awake” I yelled. He seemed taken aback and in shock.

I didn’t know what else to do, so I quickly walked back to my door. I heard him say “wow” under his breath as I walked away. Except, it didn’t sound angry, he sounded impressed.

I walked into my room and quickly fell back asleep, not another sound being made next door.

I woke up the next morning and when I went to walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth, I saw a note had been passed under the door.

I picked it up and it said “I’m truly sorry I kept you up last night! Sincerest apologies from, the rude guy next door”.

I smiled to myself, but also felt embarrassed. I had been tired and took things too far. He seemed like a nice guy, and as a plus he was really cute. If I saw him again, I would make sure to apologize.

I spent the rest of the morning not doing much and just chilling in my room, until I had to leave to go to Jasmine’s house. I was going to do her hair for the rehearsal dinner tonight. I grabbed my outfit out of the closet and took a cab over to her house.

I knocked on the door and it was quickly answered by Anthony. “Hey Ant, how have you been?” I asked him, as I gave him a hug. “I’m really good, how are you? How was your flight?” He asked, letting me in the house.

“My flight kinda sucked and I got no sleep last night. But I’m good. Hey, you aren’t planning on leaving my best friend at the alter tomorrow, right?” I joked with him. “I wouldn’t dream of it” he said. How much he loved Jas, just radiated off of him.

“Jas is upstairs in our room” he said and I thanked him and headed upstairs. “Knock knock, there’s the bride-to-be” I said walking into their bathroom where Jas was sat on a stool on her phone.

“Hey you’re here” she said, excitedly. She pulled me into a quick hug and then sat back down. I started doing her hair and then I remembered I had to tell her about the guy from the hotel.

“So you’ll never guess what happened last night” I told her. “Yeah I heard you tell Anthony that you didn’t get any sleep. Did you get laid last night?” She asked, smirking.

“No, sorry to disappoint. A guy did keep me up all night, but not in that way. The guy next door at the hotel, was playing rap music all night and it was loud, I barely got any sleep. So I went over at like 3am and I may have yelled and been a bit aggressive. But I woke up this morning and found an apology note that he had slipped under my door. I feel so bad, and if I’m being honest, he was super attractive” I confessed.

“You missed out on that chance, he seems like a genuine guy. But nope you had to yell at him” Jas joked. “If I see him again, I’m definitely apologizing” I told her. “Well moving on to cute guys that you haven’t yelled at and maybe you have a chance with, I’m totally setting you up with Daveed” Jas said.

“Isn’t he the best man tomorrow? The one you’re always telling me I should date” I asked her. “Yes, but only because I think you two would hit it off. And he’s super cute and so are you, you two could be a power couple” she told me.

“I’ve never even met him or seen a picture of him, I can’t just walk up to him and bam we’re a couple” I said, loving the idea of meeting this supposedly dreamy guy, but not wanting to get my hopes up.

“Don't worry, you’ll both be seeing each other a bunch for the next two days. You’ll at least form a friendship and maybe exchange numbers. Then who knows, a few months from now, you could be dating” she said, smirking at me.

“Let’s plan for friends, we don’t need to get our hopes up yet. I haven’t even met the guy” I told her, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like a giddy school girl as I anticipated meeting Daveed.

Okay wow I read this through and I sound so pissed out... I promise it's not because of you, I'm just super stressed because of my personal life.

I started to get more attention only after starting to write for Shadow and Bone. Before that, I was lucky if I got even 1 reblog in a piece, any feedback was once in a blue moon occurrence and even a thumbs up emoji felt like a 10 page essay on my fic tbh. And it still happens with most of my stuff, I don't really get feedback to other stuff than my SaB/Kaz pieces if they aren't people who comment on my every single piece or every single piece of a certain character.

But I came up with some tips which might help (or then not, but these came to my mind):

1) Tag your stuff right. So if you wrote an x reader of Mickey Mouse, tag it with only Mickey Mouse/Disney related tags, mickey mouse x reader, mickey mouse, mickey mouse imagine, disney, disney imagine etc. Don't tag it with donald duck x reader, goofy x reader if Y/N isn't in a poly relationship with them, and definitely not with characters who aren't even in the same universe, like shrek x reader. If you tag your stuff wrong, people will often leave your stuff unread.

2) Put up any warnings. If you wrote smut, make a warning about it. If your piece contains blood, violence, death etc, put up warnings about it. And preferably, if your fic is really long (over 1k words), always put it under a cut. I put all my stuff under a cut nowadays. BUT it came to my knowledge a while back that putting up the cut messes up some people's posts but if you aren't one of those people facing this problem, try to use the cut where possible.

3) Good grammar and absence of typos brings you more readers. A lot of people leave your fic if you make a lot of typos or grammar errors (including me, I just can't bring myself to concentrate on fics where a lot of stuff is written incorrectly 😬). Also descriptions are kinda crucial, it's infuriating reading a fic that's written like "Person A woke up. They smiled. They saw Person B. B smiled too. They went to have breakfast. It was a beautiful day. They went shopping. They met Person C. They chatted with C." so I'd advice paying attention to that too.

4) Be active with your fellow writers. You give feedback, you often get feedback in return. If you don't want to meddle your blog with other people's fics, create a side blog (a secondary blog tied to your main account, you can have multiple of them too). I've got a fic rec blog for giving feedback because I don't want people to think some fic written by someone else is mine, and I try to give feedback to every fic I like enough to finish reading. @swans-reblogs

5) If you're new here, be active with posting. Preferably, post every single day, at the very least once a day but it would be better to post 2-4 times every day. And if you have to go on a hiatus and don't post for a few days, your interaction will immediately go down and your followers will start dropping. So keep up with consistent posting so people will stay and you'll still get interaction when you come back.

6) And lastly, in terms of attention, super popular fandoms and characters are the way to go, at least from my experience. Lesser known fandoms and/or unpopular characters don't really get interaction, even if they have their fans and readers. It's sad tbh but it's the truth.

Some of my pieces for unpopular fandoms/characters still have 0 notes after years from publishing them. No likes, no reblogs nor comments, and they have been long forgotten in my blog, but those characters still get requested again so there are readers for them.
