lol I’d forgotten during the who shot Robert plot people telling him it was Aaron and he was like ‘…yeah that sounds fake’, that’s how well he knew Aaron even then. And then when he confronted Andy he was like ‘And you let Aaron take the blame!’ And then him ringing the police immediately at the hospital and being like ‘I remember the shooter, he was exactly the opposite of what Aaron looks like’ God it was crumbs during those times, but good crumbs.

The whole thing is so funny regardless if you look at it from a Doylist or Watsonian prespective.

In a Doylist analysis you are the show runners and while the buzz online around Robron is GREAT for views you have this legacy character and his brotherly feud that you have to handle before anything else. You have to consider that at this point in time nothing was garanteed for the audience.

Like obviously behind the scene they knew what they were doing and I'm sure they had decided they were going to go all in on it.

I love how they gave Light a friend group in the jdrama. Like a whole 3 good friends who he hangs out with in class and on his days off. And he seems pretty close with them, especially Kamoda who he FIRST USES THE DEATH NOTE FOR. (Even though he thought it was fake), he had almost no hesitation writing down the name of the bully who had threatened Kamoda, and the thing that it seemed tipped him over the edge from ‘oh well, hes a shitty guy’ to murder was Kamoda begging someone to do something. As we see with soichiro, light went down that path to save people first and foremost, and lost himself along the way. I wonder how his friends felt when he vanished and never came back. I wonder if they mourned him.

Look, I know that Ratchet being so different in RiD15 than in TFP is a thing of like different genre and target audience or whatever but I think it's funny to come up with possible in-universe reasons, like:

something funny abt a little before I realized and early into being aromantic is i fully recognized I didn't have crushes on real people. but I thought I had crushes on fictional (drawn) characters. yeah I think you can have crushes on fictional characters and still be aromantic. i thought i was. my thought at the time was "bc they're literally not real it doesn't count" (i had a much more black and white understanding of what being aromantic was(I was like 13 i think)) but anyway no i literally just thought they were cool and interesting. they were Just my favorite character
