I’m very happy to hear that; we put a lot of effort into that one, so it’s amazing to hear that you can look at it for a while and discover new things that are hidden on it! There aren’t much, we couldn’t come up with anything super smart, but some of the elements ended up being quite sneaky lol

It is indeed a gun in Floyd’s pants :3c And I’m glad you like this sexy grandpa and his meat cleaver! Hehe.

In a way it’s a shame that their outfits ended up being hidden for the most part. Maybe I should draw them in this universe again at some point.

Hmm, do you mean Twisted Wonderland as in the universe or as in the game? Regardless, I don’t think so 🤔 Depends on what you mean though.

There are all kinds of people in Twisted Wonderland, including Neige and the other boys from RSA, so the “good guys” are also a big part of Twisted Wonderland. So I guess not everyone is petty and annoying to each other lol

But then again, it’s not like NRC boys are only petty and annoying and nothing else: they are capable of all kinds of feelings and interactions, and are mostly viewed as “villains” by us the viewers/players because we know who they are inspired by… They can have their dark hints and moments and express negative emotions without the threat of being a “bad example” to the audience. It feels wonderful to have a piece of media like that.

So I took this 👆 screenshot while Groovying my Broomquet Sebek, and it got me thinking…

Bruh 🤡 Imagine how awkward celebrating anyone’s birthday is if these happy holidays/vignettes ran concurrently with whatever the heck is going on in episode 7 of the main story???

Anniversary (well, NRC’s founding if you’re going to go with in-game lore) aside, THINK OF HOW GRIM SEBEK’S BIRTHDAY PARTY WOULD BE???????

Everyone’s just. Slumped over in slumber… The perfect birthday gift for them all, forevermore. Malleus tells them it’s Sebek’s special day, so, “Let us celebrate this momentous occasion.” He fits them all in party hats and decorates the Diasomnia lounge (it’s hard to put up balloons when all these thorns are in the way)…

It comes time to sing the birthday song. Malleus’s voice echoes in the dark, empty halls. He’s the sole performer upon that lonely stage. Then there’s a big dance—everyone paired with someone, swaying almost hypnotically to the slow, ominous tune of a single violin. Each student, puppeted by magic.

Malleus brings out Sebek’s birthday cake—a whole cake. He personally cuts the birthday boy a slice. If Sebek was awake, he’d be over the moon and the stars. The cake goes untouched, for the sleeping students would all choke on anything that slips past their lips.

"Happy birthday, Sebek... my most loyal retainer. I know that you would never even dream of leaving me."

And nor would any of the others.

This is it.

This is the happy ending that Malleus wanted for them all 😇

***Side note: There's a lot of variations of the "TWST is actually just all a dream" theory; the version that I currently subscribe to is the one which states that all events/vignettes occur in a dream world birthed from the collective unconscious of the sleeping students, NOT that the dream world is something Malleus himself is controlling every detail of. The latter doesn't make as much sense to me, since there's a lot of personal information Malleus wouldn't know about his classmates (and the lore dropped in the events/vignettes seems to be true to real life as well).

... Although I gotta say, it's funny to think that if Malleus is basically writing out all the scenarios that occur in events/vignettes that means he's technically writing fanfics about his peers 🤣 That would mean that Malleus handpicked Trey (who is similar to Papa Zigvolt) specifically to interview Sebek for this Broomquet. I don't know, something about that concept is just amusing.***

I got Trey sobs but that just means I'm one step closer to completing Heartslabyul (if Ace actually comes home grgrgr-(update I got his bride ssr DBSOS))! And also I like Trey so win win :3

   ➢ Riddle

Riddle always panicked when you became upset or whenever your joy became tearful

A part of him also ached at your tears, wishing nothing more than to rid you of them

Once you explained, or he connected the dots, that you cried because of how much the topic or action meant to you, he calmed down

Knowing the reason made him feel less guilty, yet he still found himself panicking

Not so much visibly but definitely internally

His heart would skip and stumble and his mouth always felt dry

Riddle will resolve to take your hand in his and pull you from whatever had triggered your tears

At least in public

Whilst in private he'd shakingly bring his palms to your cheeks and his thumbs to your eyelids

Lightly brushing from the corner to the crease of your eyes, rubbing the salty water into your cheekbones

The first time he had done so was when you both confessed

Giggles and smiles and trembles were shared between you both that day

And happiness didn't fit enough for how euphoric it felt

   ➢ Deuce

While Riddle panics internally, Deuce panics visibly

From waving his hands to contorting his face

And his voice is just as panicked as his body - raised, a tad squeaky, and wavering

He isn't quite sure what to do, but if it's caused by a person he'll always be tempted to confront them - though if you're happy he might just tear up too

Such as when he gave you a gift on your anniversary

It was a simple thing, really - at least he thought so

So when your eyes glistened and your cheeks became stained, he was worried he had upset you or something worse

Was it offensive? Had you not liked it-

Despite his racing heart, his mind came to a halt as soon as he felt your arms around him

Deuce even squeaked at how tight of an embrace it was - it had made a laugh jump from your chest, if you were being honest

His face was still twisted in worry, but his lips were pulled into a wavering smile; a confused smile

When you told him 'thank you', he finally allowed himself to relax

And returned the hug with full force

   ➢ Kalim

Kalim would be worried if he hadn't the context for why you were crying or upset

But he himself is a happy crier so expect shared tears whenever you both are overjoyed

If you're upset, he will ask you what happened or if someone spoke of a sensitive topic

Perhaps a tad too quickly

Kalim is a good listener, and distracter, and he is always willing to make the people closest to him happy!

After something happens, he suggests seeing the sights and, if you so wished, talk about it

He'll hold your hand, or even your pinky, as you and/or him chat

His free hand will eventually find your cheek, wiping the apple of the trailing tears

And, if you were alright with it, he'd bring you into his arms and hold you close

You don't have to tell Kalim anything, he'll always be there to make you smile or allow you to feel okay again

   ➢ Azul

Azul is not the best at comfort - he's always just worked himself into a hole to feel better

Always more actions than words

But that doesn't mean he won't try to be there

Perhaps he'll get the tweels to mess with whoever made you upset

Though tears of happiness are another story

If he was being honest, he had been uncomfortable at first

He's clueless on how to act around someone who is crying

Azul will absolutely try to comfort you, or cry with you depending on the circumstances

One of those times was when he finally knew that you loved him for everything he was

With every word from your mouth, your eyes filled up with tears

And more you said, the further he was in your arms

His vision was blurred in a little less than a fourth through your declaration

Jade said it was a sight to see - the two lovebirds sobbing to each other whilst caught in an embrace

Overall, Azul is protective and distant without meaning to

And he'll forever be there for you to rely on

   ➢ Floyd

Floyd can't handle others emotions well

He'll either become annoyed or will just make fun

But, as your partner, he gets a little angry

Who made his shrimpy cry?

He is more than confrontational when it comes to people and things he likes

He'll gladly squeeze someone for you, basically - no strings attached

Although Floyd has noticed that you cry a little when he spins you around in his arms

But he found it cute then because he knew you were happy

Someone saying something that makes you tearful is different, most definitely

And once he's done with them, he'll rush to find you again

Which was never a difficult task for him

If your tears were still running or they if they had wet your cheeks, he would rub and kiss them away

Wrapping you in his arms after settling into a cozy place

Giving you smooch after smooch in an attempt to cover your face in them

Something he always succeeds in >:3

Many think he'd be the worst at comforting you, but he has his ways of making you smile all over again

so so so I am loving all shades of pinks and purples and I just adore it.

if you think about it, shades of pink plays a role in Heartslabyul. Heartslabyul rules has students painting white flowers red. Now, if you mix those colors, it becomes pink.

In a way, this shows a blend of Ace. He respects the queen of hearts only for those expectations to be shattered because of Riddle, but then he grows and he gains that respect back after seeing how hard his dorm leader works. 

Plus if you think about all those theories about Ace becoming dorm head? it’s likely will be a mix of how Ace will uphold there queen’s law but at the same time maybe he’ll add his own twist to it?

his sun, moon, and wave side changed opposite from jamil’s....I wonder if that's just design choice of has some astrology meaning. Ace also has a mage hat too which we couldn't see before because it was blocked.

Ace doesn’t really show his emotions...well, well he does, but we all know how much of a little shit he can be. 

but, boy do his flowers give a bit of insight

Jack Howl's Flower Bouquet Meaning

I'm going to start off by saying I don’t know much about Jack aside from the main story line and events.

Also, some of these flowers I'm not fully sure of or the ferns, but I tried my best and will probably come back and edit this post as I learn more and find out which flowers are which.

On a side note: We found out that the ribbon on the hat is dorm themed. The yellows and oranges really suit Jack’s style. These bright colors also give a contrast to the dark robes and such which I think is nice!

Did anyone notice that Jack’s smile kind of matches Leona’s? It’s adorable, the first year is learning from senpai.

Trey Clover’s Flower Bouquet Meaning

So I'll start off by saying, I don’t know much about Trey Clover aside from what we know about him from the main story and events.

But I think we can all collectively agree that his bouquet surprised us, we definitely weren’t expecting all the green, that’s for sure. (I mentioned how it reminded me of a salad or rabbit food basically to a few friends lolol) 

But when you think about it, it kind of fits him, doesn’t it?

When you think about clovers (as from his last name), you can’t help but think of the four leaf clover 🍀🍀🍀🍀, which is said to bring luck. Those clovers tend to be green, hence the green bouquet. Which I think is kind of cute if they went that route. (or maybe he got tired of making sweets and are telling his friends to eat vegetables through subliminal messages 😂🤔) 

My friend Lala 💕🌻🌺  brought up a great point, green flowers tend to be rare and on further research, they also tend to be mutations on some variations of flowers. This also fits Trey because he tends to act normal and tries to stay out of the spotlight, but he is unique himself when it comes to his actions and magic ability. We have also seen how he acts when he does step in into the story as well.

By now, we have learned that the sun and moon changes sides on each of the cards and it turns out to have a purpose. When the sun is on the left then the groovy tends to be in the day time. When the sun is on the right, as we see in Ace and Trey cards, the groovy is at night. Safe to say, the twin’s birthday might have both, one in the day and one at night. (Good luck Octa fans)

I also find it cute how Trey is winking. It kinds of reminds me of how Cater is winking and it could be cute to think he’s adopting Cater’s habits.

There were a couple flowers my friends and I were having trouble figuring out but this is what we figured out.

Trey’s bouquet has roses, so far we have we have our continuing theme of roses for Heartslabyul boys and I am here for it 🙌💚 and another cute aspect of his bouquet is the white clovers he has. Literally his name and how he hides amongst the flowers.

Green Roses: renewal, fertility, rejuvenation of spirit and energy.

Cotton Flower: wealth, well-being, cherish people around you.

Globe Amaranth: unchanging friendship, unfading, good fortune.

Gerbera Daisies: innocence, purity, loyal love

Green Hydrangeas: Harmonious family, rebirth, good health, and prosperity.

White Clover Flower/Seeds: Happiness, good luck, promise, remember me,

Dianthus Green Ball: love, affection, gratitude, and admiration.

Raspberries: Compassion, kindness, forgiveness, taking responsibility for one one’s actions, sympathy, desire to help others, releasing old wounds, and ‘turning the other cheek (wow, this one really fits him).

Green Aster: Love, wisdom, faith.

Green Chrysanthemum: Good fortune, rebirth, renew, and good health.

Zinnias: love that is growing or being renewed, good fortune, friendship, remembrance.
