why do polls that are shaped towards the left get classed as skewed right?

The skew is defined by the “tail”! I make the first option be “(0,0)” or the leftmost point on a graph— everything below it is moving to the right. I’ve added a diagram to visualize what I mean :)

For polls that have more votes for an earlier option, meaning the last few options have less votes, the tail is towards the right, making it skewed right!

Tag me in finished polls. At this moment, I can only do binary (yes or no, this or that, etc.) or quantitative (hours of sleep, sibling count, etc.). HOWEVER!!! If a poll has TWO (and only two) variables, for instance "Are you an iPhone user, and do you have TikTok?" or "Are you over or under 18, and how many blankets do you own?", I can calculate a confidence interval for the difference between proportions/means of both parties! This is purely for fun and analysis.

UPDATE: I can now run chi-square tests for independence! This means I can calculate if two variables (for instance, gender & hours of sleep, age group and any yes/no option, etc.) are associated.

Also, please no N$FW polls. I will not analyze those.

Anyway. Tag away, I'll try to do as many as I can!

Sometimes I wish I had been meaner. Mabye then highschool wouldn't have been as messy.

The fact I survived this last school year with a soul that still creates is a genuine miracle.

I didn't deserve anything that happened. I wish I could've stopped it. But there was nothing to do.

I've always been fragile, I just wish my edges were a bit sharper back then. No one really wants to touch broken glass.

But I got a 3 on my AP test. I'm going to see my favorite person in 14 hours. Mabye life isn't all that bad.

The future will still run me ragged, I'm sure of it. At the end of the day, I'll be alright. Alright enough.
