I recently switched from Hyprland to Labwc. Mostly for simplicity and it covered most of my needs. I was able to port most of my custom scripting for theming. I started with a rudimentary foundation from Archcraft and continued to expand on top of it. I am now to the point where I have my own theming and templating system in bash to handle randomizing themes based on wallpapers in a directory. Instead of using Pywal templates I have opted to do my own. Some are full config files stored as templates, others are just color overrides. Not for everyone, but works for me.

I switch themes multiple times a day, thus my goal is my standard daily apps all get refreshed automatically or with relative ease.

Im not sure if anyone else has commented on this or not, but I also really love the set up for Buddie this season. I made a post about how the Buddie facetimes feel like a call back to season 3 where Buck is faced with the fact that he doesn't have a family outside of his job, and how the facetimes highlight how Buck and Eddies relationship goes farther than their role to eachother as coworkers. And I think that the scene where Buck is alone in the Firehouse at the table builds on that, and how its unknown whether the 118 eating together is going to continue to be a thing since Bobby passed, which is a very big thing to Buck and kind of symbolizes his "family" breaking apart.

Like everyone else in the 118 has their families and their partners that they can default to in their grief and Buck very glaringly does not have that.

Except he does, he and Eddie lash out at each other because of their grief, and while that isn't acknowledged in the show due to their lack of a cannon romantic relationship, the implication is still very much there. Buck and Eddie both held in their feelings about Bobbys death for weeks, but when they showed it they showed it to each other.

Also, the scene where Buck was alone in the fire house at the beginning of the episode thinking about how they haven't ate together is obviously a parallel to the end where he's eating dinner with Eddies family.

I just really love how even though it was subtly implied through out the series, this season is heavy on establishing that while Buck doesn't have a partner of his own, he seamlessly is a part of the Diaz family in every way he's lacking.

And I absolutely love how this seems to be how they're setting up Buddie.

I’m gonna use this as a chance to share my silly head canon that Wilson really wanted to be a marine biologist as a kid but his father told him that he really shouldn’t and kinda discouraged him from doing so, although his mother was supportive of his dream Wilson did accept he wasn’t going to be able to follow that dream, oh well. As well as this Wilson knows way to many facts about aquatic life.

Hey! I'm a windows user, got a question for someone who is looking to make the jump, what distro do you think is the best to migrate over to?

I'm struggling to figure out Linux but like windows sucks ass so

linux mint. It's the uncontested champion for newcomers. It's reliable, fast, simple, and it just works.

Lot's of experienced linux users even use mint.

if you want something a little challenging though then ubuntu and Pop_OS! are both great alteratives.
