For a solid month after Dick was adopted, he had Bruce wrapped around his little finger.

It was like constantly having a babysitter who was just there to make sure you don’t die or starve but not a lot of authority. Your mom lets you have cookies for breakfast? Yeah sure if thats what she let you do.

Dick was pretty sad with Bruce finally realized that he was the one who made the rules and Dick was playing him like a fiddle. He knew it had to come to an end eventually, but he was still a little bummed.

About: Mad scientist Jack Napier is dying of a mysterious illness. Determined to end his life with a bang, he treks into the ruins of Wayne Manor, where the infamous Batman lives. But to both Jack's surprise and disappointment, the lone vampire has no interest in either killing OR turning him. Surely with some persistence, he'll change the vampire's mind eventually... right?

i desperately crave Batman solving minor issues in Gotham, let my man have some one off adventures.

some kid lost their beloved stuffed animal and asks Batman if he can find it? Yeah totally Batman while on his normal patrols looks diligently for it.

some old lady is having trouble with getting out of her house because the building is super Inaccessible? Totally he brings on Bruce Wayne and gets the building renovated for free.

some kid is getting bullied? Yeah Batman goes and scares the living out of them and they realise the error of their ways.

someone’s pet got stolen by a vindictive Ex? Yeah he’s dropping everything to go and find the pet and bring it home safely.

like he does this all the time, I just want more one offs that explore this side of him more.

are we ignoring that tim’s first time as robin consisted of him stealing and wearing jason’s costume (the one in the case, the one he DIED IN) and running up to bruce and saying he’s robin with bruce having no prior knowledge of tim’s existence

imagine you’re bruce and a kid that looks shockingly similar to your dead son comes running up to you wearing the clothes he died in and saying he’s your son

So I was rereading DitF and there's something interesting there.

Because Sheila sold Jason out to the Joker, and then while he beat the shit out of her child, she smoked a cigarette, refusing to look, already regretful of what she did.

It's clear, she cares more about herself than Jason.

But then, when Jason frees her, she doesn't just run. She stays to help him get out to.

Is it the guilt? Did she want to somehow redeem herself? Or maybe it was as a thanks. Because Jason saved her even when he was dying by her fault.

And I want to know. What is Sheila's deal? We know she did some illegal surgeries on women in Gotham, but what was that? She was working at a refugee camp. Was she there trying to do something good, or because it was a place she could hide easiest?

What's going on with Sheila Haywood?
