Found out it's #craspecfest - Have some Queerplatonic for "Unconventional Relationships"
I love how Beau evolved from "You're drinking dead people" to whining for tea after fights. And of course Caduceus obliges.

CR Aspec Fest - Info & FAQs!
The Critical Role Aspec Fest is a month-long fanwork fest (with a prompt for each week) celebrating aromantic-spectrum and asexual-spectrum experiences!
Schedule and Prompts
WEEK 1 (Feb 1st-7th): Aro-spec
WEEK 2 (Feb 8th-14th): Ace-spec
WEEK 3 (Feb 15th-21st): Unconventional relationships
WEEK 4 (Feb 22nd-28th): Free week! Whatever your heart desires.
FAQs
(if something isn't answered here, please feel free to send an ask or message!)
Can I make something about a character being demisexual or demiromantic or (insert other label)? Can I make something about a character who's straight?
Absolutely - please do! Aspec is a very broad umbrella term, and this event is all about celebrating a variety of experiences that aren't well-represented in media. If it feels right to you, go for it. I'm not going to exclude any works from the fest just because they aren't relatable to me.
What types of fanworks can I make for the fest?
Anything! Be that fanfiction, fanart, meta, gifsets, edits etc. - everything is welcome! If you're writing fanfiction, you're encouraged to post to the AO3 collection here.
Which Critical Role characters can I make fanworks about?
Do I have to make a fanwork for every week to take part?
Nope! The more the merrier, but we're doing this for fun, not to stress!
Anyone in anything they've streamed - so the main campaigns, EXUs, Candela Obscura, Daggerheart or other oneshots!
Do I need to be aspec to join?
Definitely not, as long as you're coming in with the mindset of being respectful of our experiences. For one, I'm aromantic but not ace-spec - so making works about ace-spec experiences is naturally going to be more difficult for me, but entirely doable with a little bit of research! I think it's a great way to learn about others.
Why February? Why a whole month?
Yes, there are plenty of aspec weeks hosted in other fandoms, which are great and the inspiration for this event! But personally, I am both slow and busy, so making just one thing per week is much more achievable for me. I chose February because Aromantic Awareness Week is the week after Valentine's day, and this fest was originally going to take place during that time. I'm also unaware of any other fandom events happening in February (although please let me know otherwise, just for my own interest!). The fact that February splits so nicely into 4 whole weeks is an added bonus!
Edit: There is another CR fandom event this month - @vexlethuary!
Would you like people to share around the existence of this fest?
(Okay, maybe this one's a bit of a cheat.) Yes please! Even if you don't plan on taking part, getting eyes on the existence of this event would be wonderful. This is the first fandom event I've ever hosted, and I don't have a huge platform among fic writers, who are likely the largest contingent of nerds (lovingly) who'd be interested in taking part in an event like this.
Other Rules
Please don't bash any ships or headcanons you don't like! Part of the fun of fandom is seeing the broad range of possible interpretations, and I'd always rather foster a sense of community rather than opposition.
Suggestive, NSFW and whump content is fully allowed, but must be tagged correctly for whatever platform you're posting on. When reblogging suggestive or NSFW content, I'll use the tag #CRAspecFestNSFW, so filter that if you'd like.
Fanworks should be focused on aspec experiences or characters, but other topics or characters can totally be included, and these experiences don't have to be super clear or well-labelled in-text (gods know that real-life experiences are often opaque and confusing) - it's your intention that matters. This is up to your discretion, really. As with the rule of thumb for AO3 tagging - if someone was viewing this for aspec content, would they be disappointed? If so, you can always rework it, or post it outside of this fest.
Please consider adding alt text to any images you post - here's a useful guide if you're not sure what to write.
This account will be reblogging every fanwork made for the fest - just remember to tag us, and use the #CRAspecFest tag! If you don't have a tumblr account and want a post about your work to be included, send a message.
There'll be more posts on this account with ideas for how to approach the prompts, plus reminders at the start of each week, tagged #CRAspecFestPosts. All submission reblogs will be tagged #CRAspecFestWorks (and #CRAspecFestNSFW if applicable).

Percy de rolo
@cr-aspec-fest
My headcanon is percy is demisexual. He often sees sex as something people do. He never feels sexual attraction often really He does feel esthetic attraction (which is different. It's like you're emitting apainting is pretty or a flower is gorgeous without anything else attached to it.) He was confused when he did feel sexual attraction he was very confused and he pretty much avoided the person until his mom had to explain it to him.
Vex is only other person he is attracted to. He often Awkward it's because he's never been to this situation like that due to his trauma and the sheltered childhood. He knows about sex but not really how it works you know?
He did get esthetic attraction mixed up before which led to a pretty awkward conversation. That felt really awkward to get out of that was with the other person and It's very scared to tell vex about this since he had felt wrong and not a person but he got through it with pike and grog knocking some sense into him of course, with their own version of doing so.

oh yeah? aspec CR characters?
Canonically:
Keyleth is demisexual[1]
Caduceus is aroace[2][3]
Essek is demisexual or demiromantic[4]
Dariax is ace-spec and possibly aro-spec[5]
Other headcanons I've seen and love and respect: (non-exhaustive)
Grog as aromantic (has casual sexual flings but never expresses romantic interest)
Fjord as demiromantic and/or demisexual (doesn't express romantic interest before Jester, and only after a long while of rebuking her affections)
Jester as aro-spec (are her ideas about a prince charming learned, rather than true?)
Laudna as ace-spec (having an evil woman in your head cannot help)
Fearne as aro-spec (to be fair, fey rules about relationships are probably pretty different)
Please share your headcanons!! v

It's finally here - Week 1 of the CR Aspec Fest!
Join us in making fanworks focused around aromantic-spectrum and asexual-spectrum experiences!
The goal is to create a fanwork according to this week's prompt (aro-spec) by this time next Saturday! (although late submissions are still welcome)
When you have a fanwork you're ready to share, use the #CRAspecFest tag, and tag this account in your post so I can reblog it! (Or, if you don't have an account you wish to share it with, just send an ask and we can make a fresh post just for you!)
What are some ideas for this week's prompt?
aromantic, demi/grey-romantic identities; traditionally romantic actions outside of romantic contexts; cultural expectations around relationships or marriage; platonic intimacy
If you follow this account, you can filter the #CRAspecFestNSFW tag to avoid seeing any suggestive or NSFW content as I reblog works.
Can you remind me of the rules?
Yes! Keep reading!
What types of fanworks can I make for the fest?
Anything! Be that fanfiction, fanart, meta, gifsets, edits etc. - everything is welcome! If you're writing fanfiction, you're encouraged to add it to the AO3 collection here, alongside posting on Tumblr.

And that's a wrap-
-on the 2025 Critical Role Aspec Fest!
Tumblr media
Thank you so much to everyone who participated, spread the word or gave love to all our wonderful submissions!
This has truly been wonderful <3
We had a wild 26 works submitted! That's way more than I was expecting! Campaign two characters were the favourites by far - with 17 works about them, compared to 3 each for campaigns one and three, and 3 more that were fun and difficult to categorise (and isn't that wonderfully in the spirit of the thing?)
And if you still haven't finished works you wanted to submit for the fest - worry not! This account will still be here to reblog them :) The world always needs more wonderful aspec rep!

How might I approach the CR Aspec Fest prompts?
Here are some general ideas, for your perusal:
When did the character realise they were aspec? Or learn about the existence of aspec identities? Who/where from - do they have community with whom they feel safe sharing their experiences?
Did they have any 'failed' romantic or sexual relationships before they realised they were aspec? How does being aspec affect how relationships work for them?
Do they have any cultural or personal amatonormativity/allonormativity - if so, how does this affect them?
What love, safety, or joy do they find in their platonic or familial relationships? What special bonds do they have with the people around them?
Week 1 - Aro-spec: aromantic, demi/grey-romantic identities; traditionally romantic actions outside of romantic contexts; cultural expectations around relationships or marriage; platonic intimacy
Week 2 - Ace-spec: asexual, demi/grey-ace, aceflux identities; turning down or negotiating sexual propositions; intimacy (even BDSM) without sex; averse/neutral/favourable spectrum
Week 3 - Unconventional relationships: Queerplatonic relationships; polyamory; caring for children or having a family dynamic outside of romance; relationships with gods/powers/worship
Week 4 - Free week: anything! aro/ace combinations; weird and wacky crossovers or AUs; divorce; being touch-starved; avoiding sex for other reasons (repulsion from experiences; choosing celebacy; practicality); complicated or messy relationships

haven't seen it mentioned so far, in a 4SD Matt hinted that Ludinus is ace-spec
Ooh, I missed that, that's super interesting! Does anyone know which episode it was / have a timestamp for that?

heavy is the viel of marriage but essek won't take it.
@cr-aspec-fest
Essek knew that people of the upper class and of his station would often be in arranged marriages usually set up before they truly knew what it meant. He didn't like that, he saw no point to social climbing by marriages why can't they climb the ladder more in skill and knowing the right people. He looks at the photos of his family and the advantageous marriage arranged.
He knew most were cold and some were friendly but no love. he makes a grimace when he sees his parents’ portrait. They were the only he can believe were happy. They had been together for life times. Woah he wouldn’t stay together with a person like that. His grimace looks slightly like he had bit into a lemon. He then shakes off the feeling of uncertainty and worry. He floats back to his tower as he had to hide and deflect the inquiries if he was going to be married often at the parties during the season. He didn't want marriage he knew it could be dumb and hurt the other person and himself.
Deirta was sitting at her desk when he walks in "yes?" he takes a moment and then he asked “would you hate me if I didn’t want marriage?” Deirta looks over and her face was unmoving but she sighs “no. why if I can ask?” Essek blinks “I have no desire to marry someone. It is a waste of time for me and other person.”
Derita stares at him and nods “then be it but if you choice to have sex—” he cuts her off “yes if a child comes along make sure it is mine and if that is the case pay the child support.”She nods before saying “now go.” He does but he went he gets out of the door there was aunt may.
She looks at him and spoke “when are you doing to get married there are plenty of men and women.” Essek felt like cringing from that. he didn’t like how she says that. he then tries to step around the older woman when she grabs him “no you aren’t going anywhere yet.”
“aunt why?” he could feel the pain starting as she tighten her grip. “you didn’t answer me.” He felt annoyed when he grabbed her hand and used a spell it was a freezing spell which makes her stop and trying to pull back but stuck and he spoke as he pries each finger “I thought you wouldn’t put your hands on the shadowhand but I will tell you this only once. I don’t want to be wed. I don’t feel love I can’t fall in love with a person like that.” he reasons with may “I will only drag them down by their reputation and ambition.”He then steps around the woman before he let go and spoke “leave me alone.”

hand prints on the window
@cr-aspec-fest
Vax was worried for Percy. Percy was running on little sleep and overworked, vax is worried so maybe it was time for a break. He went to clean the silk rope and some other things, it had been a while since they had used the ropes and then the teething toy. It had been a long time for Percy to be confident with his desires. He then went to the kitchen with the teething toy. He then sets up pre made snacks. Percy was the clingiest pup so vax had to be proactive. Especially for when Percy starts stimming and needs to get his teeth on something. That was more than compulsion than a stim but still a stim
He fondly smiles as he got the gear box from under the bed. He then heard the beep for the ropes. He tie it around percy into a harness. Percy loved the feeling of the ropes framing him. Not restraining, also no rope near his upper chest. Which made vax have to test different ways to make a harness without making percy feel uncomfortable.
He then fluffs up the pillow. Which initials him to run and jump on it. It was fun. After he got everything done including getting a bowl of water and rag just in case percy was a little bit dirty especially if he was working in his shop. he went to find his stressed out boyfriend. Who is most likely more disheveled than vax will ever be after a hard mission from the raven queen.
=========
I wrote this while on sleep meds and lack of sleep so if it is weird that is why.
