@query-bot asked: There's a time for fight and a time for flight, but have you ever frozen? What happened?
"It's... not something I like to remember - but when the Calamity first struck, when Zelda and I were heading back to the Castle, we were intercepted by a messenger from the knight-guard. He was just a kid. More than I was. Couldn't have been past even his first year of training. Fourteen, maybe fifteen years old."
"He was trying to get to us, to send us towards Hateno. His horse was injured - he was injured. Burns and cuts everywhere. He shouted his message to us from a distance."
"There was a guardian stalker following him and that was the first Zelda and I realized the Sheikah tech was compromised."
"The kid shouted for us to run - Zelda wanted to wait for him to go with us, get him somewhere safe. But the guardian's laser killed him in front of us. We were both in shock - a child killed in front of us without mercy, without thought, just pure malice."
"Neither of us could move until I saw that laser targeting Zelda. I had to protect her. I deflected the laser with my shield, hitting the guardian back before she and I finally turned and ran for Hateno."
"We couldn't save that child. He was dead before he even fell from his horse."

@query-bot asked: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Tumblr media
"If I am lucky, perhaps I will have my own place to live, away from the past that still yet haunts me. Some place quiet, where I am left to live my days as I choose - uninfluenced by my mothers' old teachings, allowed to be who and what I wish to be. I would have a small home, somewhere in the Faron region, surrounded by lush greens and warm rains."
"And perhaps, in time, I might find someone to share that with."

i think the game that im working on is going to be about a maid android waking up years and years after calamity destroyed most of the manor, and it cleaning out all the still active war bots. dirt stains and clutter piles are the game's collectibles to acquire maid points to upgrade itself at the maintenance station. the game ends with the manor still destroyed but it's clean and the maid can now patiently wait for its mistress to return from town

Hey, are you doing okay? Could you write a Transformers: Animated headcanon with Optimus, Bumblebee, and Ratchet being friends with a reader who's super unlucky? Like, they're constantly getting into accidents or being flung across the room, yet somehow they always survive? As if the universe is playing a big prank on them XD
☆ [TFA] BOTS w/ an Extremely Unlucky Reader
i am doing fine anon! thanks for asking, i had a lot of fun writing this request :3 i think a reader with comically bad luck is interesting— each bot would have a very different way on dealing with it. i couldn't stop thinking of 'Wonder Of U' from JoJolion for some reason when i saw this request. reader is a victim of calamity lmao
scenario: your crew is trying to help you despite a few of them thinking you might be cursed. reader is a lot younger than Ratchet, like the rest of the crew.
including: Optimus, Bumblebee, Ratchet
Tumblr media
Optimus:
— Optimus isn't really sure what's up with you, or how you even manage it. You're always the first to find a Decepticon, you're the first to get attacked by the Decepticons, you're getting tail-swatted away by Grimlock half the time out of sheer bad luck because that T. Rex doesn't seem to like any of them and you get it the worst.
— Now that he's thinking about it, you get everything the worst. He can't leave you alone for ten minutes. If it's not the Decepticons coming to offline you then its your surroundings. He suspects that you might have the environmental awareness of a rock. But that changes pretty quickly when he realizes you're just that unfortunate.
— One time, you drove into a cement pit and nearly got buried alive with cement if it weren't for Bulkhead interrupting those construction workers. The other time, you wandered into a demolishing ground and almost got flattened by debris. You're like a character from that Earth film Sari watched with Bee… a ‘Final Destination’ protagonist with the way you barely survive your day-to-day life. Optimus doesn't know how a single bot can get so much bad luck, it isn't even funny to him (it is to a certain someone else though). He may or may not be concerned.
— So, Optimus being the leader that he is, puts you under his supervision all the time. You're right where he can see you and nowhere else. But it takes a downhill turn.
— He ends up getting stuck in precarious situations with you. As if your misfortune is communicable and he can tell you don't mean it with the way you're looking at him as if you might explode into tears with absolute frustration. You don't mean for any of this to happen and it makes him feel... bad in a way.
— After being in a lot of near-death situations with you, he's gotten to know you a lot more better now so Optimus is a bit more protective over you and he can tell all of these repeated almost-encounters with Primus has definitely left you paranoid with a pessimistic streak. But hey, Optimus is trying his best to make you feel better and more hopeful about the next fight. Usually with a pep-talk or a pat on your pauldron. He is a bit protective over you, mostly because you seem to have the highest chance of getting dying and he doesn't want to lose a good Autobot.
— Eventually, he decided to keep you in the base at all times because of you being, and i quote, a walking natural disaster surviving on mere gambles” only for a Decepticon to crash the base when the rest of the crew were out on the very same solarcycle.
— Optimus did this not only because of safety concerns but also because your bad luck is unpredictable; it could either be tripping when you're trying to run or get shot at point blank with a fusion cannon (and somehow miraculously survive). He thinks it's a liability for the team. Optimus is still figuring out how to be a leader here, he's figuring things out just like you are.
— Despite everything that goes down, your wit helps you survive all of these near termination situations that you get thrown into so Optimus is kind of impressed with your quick thinking. If only you weren't cursed with such bad luck, you might’ve made a wonderful addition to the Elite Guard. Or so Optimus thinks. Your case is unfortunate.
— He is definitely hesitant about letting you near Sari way too often when Optimus isn't there to make sure that you don't trigger the end of the universe by just existing. Primus knows what chaos would ensue with you and Sari in the same room.
— Optimus feels bad for you but he isn't sure what he's going to do with you. At all. He eventually realizes that your bad luck is just inevitable and the team has to push through it, especially when you start using your bad luck against the Decepticons.
Tumblr media
Bumblebee:
— At first, this mech had absolutely no hesitation about laughing his aft off at every single one of your misfortunes as if there was a reality TV show unfurling in front of him. Bumblebee was borderline insufferable.
— But then, it slowly gets more concerning. Especially after the whole Allspark incident. He still gets a laugh every now and then, don't get him wrong but he may or may not be a teensy bit concerned now.
— Watching you getting flattened after Bulkhead tripped and fell right on top of you was pretty damn funny but at the same time, you being nearly made into molten metal by Blitzwing wasn't exactly something to laugh at. Or the fact that Megatron grabbed you and almost crushed you into bits with a single servo. That was painful to watch.
— Bumblebee feels genuinely sorry for you when Optimus basically grounds you saying that its for your safety and everyone else's safety. Sure you got a lot of bad luck but it can't be that bad!
— So Bee went against the big bot and helps you sneak out of base with Sari. You're not supposed to be around the human but Bumblebee thinks thats scrap!
— Bee pretty much stands up for you when Optimus decides to beach you and you seem clearly upset with it. He may be an aft sometimes but that doesn't mean he is one all the time. Bumblebee just likes cracking way too many jokes than he should.
— Has nominated you, without your consent to be bait to lure in Decepticons. You're a trouble magnet. Bee is pretty sure that if you were kept tied to a post, all the Decepticons in the vicinity would instantly be drawn out to the area. He clarified it was a joke.
— Bumblebee & Sari theorizes that your bad luck might just be your ability. Optimus Prime has his grapples and foam, Ratchet has his EMP burst, Prowl has his ninja skills, Bee has his stinger and Bulk has his ridiculous strength. You don't really seem to have any particularly special abilities.
— At some point, even some of the Decepticons (Blitzwing) notices how particularly unlucky you are and mocks you mid battle because you're stuck under a boulder that seemed to have come from absolutely nowhere. Bee stands up for you and says something like, “HEY, THREE FACE! I’m the only one who gets to make fun of ‘em!”.
— He goes from consistently making fun of your mishaps to "hey, dont take it too hard" after getting closer and closer with you. When he helps you sneak out, the two of you have gotten into a lot of mishaps together and almost died but Optimus doesn't need to know that part.
— Bee is more of a “We can work through your unfortunate circumstances together because I care about you!” type mech than a “I care about you as well as everyone else on the team so I'm going to set you aside so no one gets hurt." like Optimus is initially. So he doesn't really think you should avoid doing something just because you're basically cursed by Primus.
Tumblr media
Ratchet:
— Out of all of them all, he probably pities your misfortune the most because he's the one repairing you afterwards.
— You and Ratchet are really close because of your repeated visits to the medbay back when you guys were just a usual Space-Bridge repair crew. You somehow managed to get yourself hurt even in that.
— The fact that you're alive is a medical mystery with the sheer amount of damages your endoskeleton has suffered. He remembers the first time he looked into your internals and his optics practically widened into bulbs. Theres cracks nearly everywhere and it took nearly forever for him to fix them all.
— To make sure he never has to spend cycles soldering and rewiring your frame, Ratchet makes regular check ups on you after a battle. Just to make sure you haven't sustained any damage trigged by your mythical levels of misfortune.
— You're capable, he can clearly see that. Ratchet also makes sure to teach you some basic repairs so that in the situation that you're on the battlefield and your stupid luck nearly gets you offline again, you can pick yourself back up.
— Ratchet can see how disheartened you are when something goes awry during a mission involving you and he isn't the best at comforting you so he just goes "it'll go better next time.". Implying that there will be a next time because you're practically a tenant in his medbay with how often you get injured.
— He's also pretty strict about you resting after a battle because you've sustained the most damage almost all the time. Ratchet wants you to be fully recovered before you go off to have another near-Primus-meeting incident again. But Bee sometimes sneaks you out regardless because you need to have fun! Despite what Ratchet says.
— He's very concerned but hes not really saying a word. Just raising his optical ridge, questioning Bumblebee when he says that you should come along to do something he perceives as reckless. Then he says something real snarky which makes Bee shut up near immediately and regret even suggesting that.
— He's your supportive yet very concerned grouchy grandpa. You're probably the only one who actually listens to some of his stories he talks about while repairing because when you're in the medbay, its usually for a longer time considering the amount of damages you sustain. So you really have nothing better to do.

I do not know how to explain to some of y'all that Aeor was just a bad town?
Like, the authoritarianism is a feature, not a bug, with Aeor.
This is the city that, pre-Calamity, was planning a weapons test on a smaller flying city.
FCG was literally part of Aeor's The Care and Culling plot. They'd send sleeper agent aeormatons under the guise of these bots being caretaking companions to assassinate those they didn't like across Exandria.
Like, yes, the amount of innocent lives that will be lost because of the city's destruction is a tragedy.
But letting a city like Aeor survive, with a weapon that will functionally let them annihilate literally anything on Exandria that might oppose them when they've already proven more than willing to wipe out an entire race of sentient beings is not good either.
You're just swapping out what you perceive as unjust gods for actual proven militaristic authoritarianism.

The undoomed : lucky cyan and lou
⚠️spoilers for episode 10 of to be hero x⚠️
This post is following of from my previous post about lucky cyan and Lou's dynamic
I love their ending in episode 10 and while I wish we ended up getting more information as to what happend to lou and cyan in the end as I do think the pacing of the final episode was a bot hectic I am still content in what we got!
The miscommunication between the two is spurred by the Dean, and I love how you can see the visual impacts of that. During episodes 8 and 9, lucky cyan and Luo would always be together in the spotlight, sharing it or outside of the spotlight. The only times lucky cyan was in the spotlight without luo is when she had to play the role of the secret maiden, which is a role she didn't enjoy and made that clear to Luo who helped her 'break her luck' and encouraged her to seek a new life a life that led her to the path of becoming lucky cyan the number 7 luck hero adored by the public.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also share the speaking and listening pattern that is talked about in the previous post which is then broken in episode 8 when the dean interrupts lucky cyan's speech and tells luo that cyan stole his parents luck and that she is the only survivor of the plane crash while his parents died.
By the end of episode 9, lucky cyan is covered in light she is the one speaking, singing, and being free while luo is stuck in the orphanage, in the dark, listening, waiting for something anything. The two opposites too far from one another, that small string of hope and communication they once had served by the Dean sending luo to a spiral as lucky cyan booms up in popularity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The misunderstanding continues to get worse with luo seeking darkness, and cyan becomes even more controversial within hero society, further widening the gap until cyan herself seeks luo multiple times. One she is faced with failure, rejected from entering the orphanage by the Dean, luo was so close to her, right behind that door yet neither could fully reach out, cyan couldn't extend her hand physically and lou wasn't willing to do so after hearing a biased truth from the Dean.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The second time she reaches out its not only to help luo but its to find her own truth, to prove to the world that she didn't steal any luck and by doing that she also helped find lou's truth and bring a wave of peace and knowledge to the world, knowledge about the incident, knowledge about fear and peace surrounding the dead and what they wanted during that plane crash. Cyan becomes a symbol of hope made by the people for the people incredibly similar to lin ling labelled the commoner for the people made directly by the people who want to help save their loved ones and support lin ling in saving moon.
Even though cyan confronts luo and she tries to tell him her truth, she did try to look for him, every big step she took was to bring him back, she sang and earned money and made an entire speech just for him. However, even though that was Lucky cyan's truth, that wasn't Luo's truth, luo was abandoned, he felt like he was left to rot in an abusive environment where he only brought suffering and calamity while Lucky cyan became a hero something he always wanted to be and something she said she never wanted to be. Both of their truths were clouded by emotions. Both of their truths held objectivity and could co-exist as they do now, but both held their flaws, which is something that cyan actively challenges in her own truth. When cnsisntelty met with the 'truth' that luo is dead, she refuses to believe it and searches for the real truth, which leads her to the beginning.
The objective truth on the tape is uncovered by both her and luo. It takes Lucky cyan using lou's words and advice to throw that same marble which caused the rain to break the truth free, allowing for them to both survive the storm of truth and reunite bathing in the light together, finally reuniting having accepted both sides.
To bring this back, in the end, both had to listen and speak to learn the others truth and they both had to listen to the objective truth from the tape to accept one another and reconcile aiming for a better future to change the world as luo wanted and change their futures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Essentially, love paved the way for these two. Lucky cyan lived due to the people's love for their loved one and desire to have a messenger carry their story, their truth, and luo lived due to cyan's love and persistence to reach for him. Love is what wove these two together and what kept them together.

For my own amusement I have to ask, who do you think wins the one v one? Calamity Anne (THT) or Titan Luz(WAD). Personally I think Anne clears
oooh i’m not sure
bc we have to remember the titan was powerful enough to give sentient life and magic to everything that evolved on his corpse, but he also only had a fraction of magic left to give luz.
and anne was extremely powerful but not strong enough on her own to stop the core, either. if she had all three stones she would sweep, easily, because that was the whole thing— all three stones can defeat anything.
it’d also depend whether luz has stringbean or not, because i don’t think she could fly without her, whereas anne can fly on her own, even partially charged.
and obviously it’s a hypothetical but i can’t imagine them ever fighting each other like that anyway lmao so it’s hard to say. i’m a luz & anne best friend truther
but if the hypothetical is when they’re both at their fullest solo potential, luz has stringbean, and anne only has her stone, i think it’s a fairly even match.
i would probably give anne a bit of an edge because luz had eda and king to kind of reinforce her powers— and anne had marcy and sasha ofc, but she still had the whole scene to herself where she effortlessly took down the space bots. luz ripped belos free by herself, but she needed backup to get there, so it’s kind of a parallel. but when it comes down to it, luz finished the battle on her own, whereas anne couldn’t finish it without the other two stones, so i think they kind of even each other out.

Wriothesley x GN,Engineer!Reader
Word count: 2,764
⚠️Warnings⚠️ Platonic vibes, no smut💔sowwy; only indication that Reader could be an OC is a pair of glasses; Reader has they/them pronouns
Mechs and Visions
Some say that father issues create artists.
Mother issues create writers.
If that is the case, what does that make me?
“Your… project is no longer necessary.”
The prophecy that once held a guillotine over Fontaine’s neck had just pasted. The engineer from the Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering pushed up their glasses. “Monsieur Neuvillette, I proposed the Guerrier not to prevent further flooding but to combat the giant whale that interrupted Lady Furina’s trial.” They broke out into chilled sweats, “Just a precaution for the safety of Fontaine.”
Although Neuvillette nodded in understanding, he looked over the engineer’s drafts and research notes. A giant combat robot that needed to be piloted by Vision wielders, their will to protect Fontaine. “I understand you take great pride in your work and the safety of Fontaine dear to you, but as the Iudex of Fontaine, I would never allow such a calamity invade our home. This precaution you propose, would it not also cause more destruction should it fail to defeat the whale?” The engineer furrowed their brows and clenched their fists.
But Neuvillette was right. Although he looked like a distinguished gentleman, he showed above average human capabilities even among Vision wielders. It was safe to say that Neuvillette was strong enough to fight off a prophecy whale too, since no one has ever seen him fight full force. And the Guerrier could easily crush a building if made the right size or even Fontaine citizens.
“Yes, right!” The engineer said with full gusto, “But thank you so much for meeting with me today!” They placed a hand over the area of their diaphragm and gave Neuvillette a small bow before excusing themselves from the office. They grumbled to themselves in disappointment.
Waiting outside, luckily for them, was one curious scoundrel. “You made quite the interesting proposal there.” Or one should say, a curious Duke. The man clad in a large coat over his shoulders, black and silver clothing, and small chains clapped. The sound echoed in the engineer’s ears, as everything else became white noise.
“Your Grace… of the Fortress of Meropide,” the engineer said in a soft and surprised tone. “You’re above ground. Or sea level… I mean,” they cursed themselves for being flustered. First a botched meeting and now being an embarrassment in front of yet another Fontainian of noble status. The engineer paused and sighed to calm down, “Thank you.”
Wriothesley raised a hand to get them to stop speaking and placed his hand on their shoulder. “Why don’t you meet me at the entrance to the Fortress of Meropide,” Wriothesley handed the engineer a note.
On it, the engineer observed, was the specific location to the entrance to the Fortress was and the time Wriothesley wanted them to be there. It’s not like they knew first hand. “Am I being arrested for... being a “mad scientist?”” the engineer dragged out the last words in a high pitched voice, which only made Wriothesley laugh rather heartily. Rather unexpectedly.
“No, no. Let’s discuss your combat bot in my office. I think I’ve got the perfect solution for you.” And with those few sentences, Wriothesley entered Neuvillette’s office, leaving the engineer to their own devices until the allotted meeting time.
The engineer had bided their time sitting at a café drawing and scraping designs for his machines. “If there’s going to be more than one pilot, then the cockpit needs to be bigger…” and “No. No. No. The wiring is going to cut itself. How about the Vision here…” were some of the few things that could be heard as they muttered to themselves. Closer to nightfall, now they waited behind the Opera Epiclese.
“Look who actually showed!”
The engineer jumped as they were brought out of their racing thoughts. Wriothesley stepped closer and the plateau behind the Opera house transformed, to the engineer’s curiosity, into a descending staircase. Wriothesley gestured for them to enter first, “Don’t worry about getting lost. I’ll be right behind you,” Despite his serious face, his voice was light-hearted, “just watch your step.”
On the way to Wriothesley’s office, inmates and guards alike would greet him with a “Your Grace,” and if they felt particularly awestruck they would stare wide-eyed as if Wriothesley was a spectacle. He offered the engineer a spot of tea, a polite tone in his voice yet cautious eyes, before gesturing them to make themselves comfortable. “I only heard small pieces of your proposal to Monsieur Neuvillette but give me the full details,” he finally said. His pale grey eyes with hints of lavender bore into the engineer. “A machine that will copy its pilot’s movements, right…”
The engineer laid out spreadsheets all over Wriothesley’s desk, each paper and scattered note came together like a ornate puzzle. Even with words scratched out, Wriothesley nodded and analyzed each piece, making sense of the engineer’s work. At some point, the engineer noticed that they were the only one talking and paused to look at Wriothesley; suddenly developing heated cheeks and a certain bashfulness.
The Duke had been too busy looking at the blueprints, the scribbles, and the indent of pencil marks that were erased. The parts needed to make said machine were right here in the Fortress. The arms were similar to his own gauntlets. “When can you start building?” He asked with deep conviction. His tone was much less friendly from what the engineer felt not too long ago.
“Wait, what—” was all they got out of their mouth before Wriothesley explained how he was to save his inmates and citizens of Fontaine from the prophesied flood using the Wingalet he had built within the Fortress. The Wingalet was the massive ship that rose from the sea and hovered above the waves. On that day, it saved many lives and Wriothesley had felt a deep sense of pride in that. Now, the Wingalet was sitting idly in the Fortress of Meropide’s factory. “Better safe, than sorry,” Wriothesley thought. With extra consultation from fellow researchers, Jurieu and Lourvine; the engineer always wondered where they went; a ready combat machine was attainable.
There was no estimated completion date, but Wriothesley helped redesign the Guerrier into a smaller more manageable size, about 6 meters tall, making it easier and faster to complete the building in just under 12 months.
Although they didn’t have to always stay within the Fortress of Meropide, the engineer couldn’t help but find new smaller projects to tinker with to make them stay. The engineer examined Wriothesley’s gauntlets, “The use of a Cryo… maybe a steel joint… how would I make it lighter…” they mumbled while hunched the work bench. So engrossed in their work they didn’t, they didn’t notice Wriothesley having taken a seat next to them on a stool. His chin rested in the palm of his hand and the elbow cushioned on his thigh as he watched the gears in the engineer’s mind work. A slight smirk graced his his lips as he listened to their little rambles. It wasn’t until they made a long stroke with their pen, extending their arm, and jabbed Wriothesley in the stomach that the engineer noticed they had company. “AAH!”
Wriothesley only huffed with a little groan at the end. “Not bad. But you should get some real experience if you want to hurt me.”
The engineer stared at him with a deadpan expression. “You’re like a giant puppy… Your Grace,” still not used to using that name. “Did you need anything more from me,” they raised their eyebrows.
“You know, we still need to test the machine, right?”
The engineer hesitated and scratched the back of their neck. “Er, it’s a machine intended to be built for Vision wielders. The only one who can fit into the cockpit for the two pilots are yourself.” They paused in thought. “Unless Jurieu or Lourvine suddenly gain a Visio—"
“No,” Wriothesley interrupted. He pointed to the glowing orb to the engineer’s side. “You will be my partner for this test. Afterall, there’s only five people who really know what’s being built here.” Wriothesley rose from his seat and dragged the engineer by the collar of their shirt, the scruff of their neck, and to the secluded cavern housing the Guerrier. “C’mon, it’ll be fun.” The engineer only groaned knowing they wouldn’t be able to convince him otherwise. “Don’t you want to see the fruits of your labor?”
The two of them took the lift further down and came face-to-face with the slumbering machine. Cobalt blue armor, silver joints, and browned glass to filter the light outside, the Guerrier stood proudly in the center of the soulless space, a sense of fighting vigor emanated from it as it waited for its pilots. The engineer pulled out a little vile with a diamond shape, glowing green, popped open its top and drank the contents. When Wriothesley looked down at them with a raised eyebrow, they dusted themselves off. “It’s… a safety measure,” they started to explain, “when our Visions are plugged into the compartments we’ll be connected to the Guerrier on a physiological and psychological level. Since we’re going to become a part of the machine, we will have access to each other.”
Wriothesley paused as he climbed into the pilot’s cockpit. The look on his face was solemn but he switched when facing the engineer. “Well, you’re entitled to your secrets.” He shrugged. “Besides, I’m an open book. There’s not much to me besides what my records say.” Wriothesley successfully settled into the higher pilot’s chair and patted the headrest of the lower seat in front of him for the engineer to nestle into. They took a calming deep breath and complied, settling into the stiffness of their creation.
“Place your Vision in the glove compartment in front of you.” Both inserted their respective Visions into a small slot and the Guerrier seemed to eat it, covering their Visions in little spikes and lacing them with wires. It hummed to life around them. The cockpit closed, cutting them off from the rest of the world. “Close your eyes.” When the two of them did so, the Guerrier stood still for a long moment. The feeling of being inside of this humanoid war machine started to disappear and they seemed to be floating in a blank space.
Wriothesley woke with a shock. The space around him was still the endless black void but he heard a sip next to him. It was the engineer, sitting on a cushioned single’s couch and enjoying a cup of, what Wriothesley assumed, tea. He furrowed his eyebrows and swiftly stood up.
“Relax.” The engineer stated plainly. “It is a part of the serum I drank earlier. With our Visions and minds melded together, I had to think of a… less crude way for the pilots to cooperate than just “jumping in head first.” I probably should have told you.” A seat similar to the engineer’s appeared from a whisp of smoke and the engineer motioned for Wriothesley to sit. He calmed down. “As you said, “You’re entitled to your secrets,” as are you,” they paused with more reverence and calm than before, “Your Grace. The serum gives pilots the power to “ask for consent” before letting their partners delve into their minds. Quite a grisly thing it is in taste. It’s made of Whopper Flower nectar and slime.” They shook their head and shivered in disgust. “But I have found out it does what I needed it to do.” In the void, the two of them enjoyed small talk. A date in the back of their minds with little proxies of themselves.
But back in the cavern, Wriothesley and the engineer could see everything tinted through an orange lens. The Guerrier’s right leg faltered when they tried to take a step forward, and the entire machine jostled as the two of them tried to move, unaccustomed to having a metal body.
“Stay with me… Your Grace.”
“Hey, you’re the one that was too scared to even get in.”
“We’re moving!”
Albeit sluggishly, the two of them started to pilot the Guerrier in sync. The buzzsaw on the right arm smashed through solid rock and got stuck when the engineer hesitated after feeling the vibrations up their arm from the impact. “That’s normal,” Wriothesly reassured them. “Fight through it. It’s like feeling the resistance from punching someone in the face; they have flesh and bone that happens to be in the way of your fist. Oh,” he thought about the different experiences they’ve had.
Eventually, the engineer became adjusted to the feeling of Wriothesley’s movements in sync with their own. His will seemingly overpowering the engineer’s nervous system and the feeling of discomfort the engineer felt causing damage even to inanimate objects disappeared. Gashes lined the cavern walls and debris littered the floor as they tested the durability of the machine. The Guerrier leaped into the air with fluid motion and grace equivalent to the Icewind Suite in the Court of Fontaine, and they landed after a full somersault, shaking the ground.
Back in the void, the emptiness started to fill in with a mechanical landscape. Giant churning gears filled the sky and robotic birds lit up as they flew about, their eyes lighting blue on a sunset background. “Play time is quite over now, don’t you think?” the engineer said in a peaceful trance. Wriothesley only hummed contently in response. His eyes were closed, and a small smile decorated his face.
The pull of reality felt like riding out of a dark tunnel on Aquabuses. They both blinked and the Guerrier reset itself into an idle standing position. The cockpit popped open with a hiss. Wriothesley and the engineer stretched. When the electrical white lights of the cavern hit them, they squinted and blinked until their eyes adjusted. A small button blinked red next to the compartment that held their Visions, signaling them to remove the glowing orbs that symbolized their ambitions.
Although the engineer wobbled as they regained a grasp on reality, Wriothesley had little to no trouble and jumped out to catch them as they flopped out of the cockpit.
“I’m never doing that again.”
“But hey, we didn’t explode.” Wriothesley smirked down at them, which quickly turned into a full grin, “And it worked!” He lifted them up and threw the engineer into the air, just to catch them again in celebration. Lourvine and Jurieu had witnessed the performance of the two inside of the Guerrier and clapped as the machine shut down and watched as he tossed them around. “Heh, see. All you needed was a few parts here and there. A little elbow grease. And someone who had a little faith in your designs.” While they were still recovering from being disassociated from their physical body, Wriothesley put them down and let them hang off him with one arm over his shoulders. “I’m honored to have worked on this project with you. And maybe we can work on having a few more produced. Don’t want to scare anyone with an army, now do we?”
The look of scrutiny the engineer gave Wriothesley was nothing new to the warden after a year of cooperation. ““We didn’t explode,” he says. And if we did, what then?” Their somewhat cheerful mood from a successful test run slowly turning sour.
“Mmm,” Wriothesley thought about the repercussions, “then, I guess we’d be dead, if not injured.” He shrugged. “But two out of two machines have been successful so far.”
The engineer had to pause. Their mind needed time to connect what Wriothesley had just said. Until it clicked that the Guerrier wasn’t the only underground machine that the Duke had built. They took a deep breath and placed their hands together over their lips, “You mean to tell me; you never tested the Wingalet…” Wriothesley nodded with a small grin. “And expected it to save the people of Fontaine?” With every sentence uttered, Wriothesley only seemed more amused. “And if it never worked from the get-go?! At least a quarter of the people in Fontaine and the Fortress would have dissolved into the Primordial Sea!”
“Yeah,” Wriothesley shifted onto a nearby stool to sit down so that one foot rested on his knee, “I know. It was worth a try, though. And it did succeed,” he said matter of fact.
The engineer let their arms drop to their sides. “You’re insane, aren’t you?”
Wriothesley raised a hand and rubbed his index finger and thumb together while mouthing, “Just a little bit.”
Tumblr media
[A/N: I can see Wriothesley as bisexual. Although I don't ship Wriolinde or even Wriolette, anyone shipping them is fine by me.
In all seriousness, thank you sincerely to anyone who read this in its entirety and enjoyed it. I’m sorry to those of you expecting SSSSMUT. But I cannot see this man in a romantic light for myself, more of a mentor/older brother figure. So, I’ll leave the sexy to other fans. As for what I have written here… It was inspired by Pacific Rim and Code Geass for the Guerrier.
On a side note, my university Prof's would rip people a new whole for using grammar editing programs like Grammarly. It's best to just research yourself what grammar rules your country or school uses. Although, I'm still guilty of using them.]

Amphibia AU where Anne notices Andrias attempting to attack Marcy, her powers flare back up long enough her to push Marcy out of the way and into the portal, taking the blow for her while Marcy and the Plantars are warped back to Los Angeles.
• Before the portal warps Marcy back instead of the "I-I'm sorry... for everything." that Marcy gives, Anne tries to comfort Marcy, saying "D-Don't worry, M-Mar-Mar... I probably w-would have done the s-same if I had to be separated from y-y-you and Sash...".
• While back in Willow Brooke, Marcy can't bare to confront her parents so she decides to stay with the Boonchuys. Obviously, after she explains why she ran away and her need to get everyone back home, they let her and the Plantars stay as long as they need. Marcy tells them about Amphibia but, like Anne, leaves out the parts about the evil king....... and the fact that she saw their daughter get stabbed through the torso and possibly die... instead she lies that Anne is still perfectly fine back in Wartwood.
• Marcy is more angsty about this whole thing than Anne appeared to be in canon. Made even worse by the fact that every time she sees the people she now lives with, she is reminded that her cowardice cost them the most important person in their families. She also finds being the only one of her friends to make it back to the place that she tried so hard to run away from as a form of twisted irony. A cosmic punishment for tampering with a mystical artifact that was far beyond her understanding, leading to her friends and their loved ones paying the price for it.
•A lot of the same plot beats still happen such as Fight at the Museum, Fixing Frobo, If You Give A Frog A Cookie, and Mr. X but episodes such as Thai Feud and Temple Frogs don't due to Marcy obviously not having the same familial bonds as Anne and Adventures in Catsitting due to The Boonchuys being unable to schedule a dentist's appointment for a child that is not under their legal guardianship.
• Marcy wears her blue Newtopian cloak even with her casual clothing just in case she sees her parents and needs to hide her face from them under her hood so they don't recognize her. (There is a running gag through season 3 where she has to make sure she doesn't stand under any sprinklers in case her cloak spontaneously combusts.)
• Back in Amphibia, The Core, now no longer having Marcy, decides to take Anne. Now calling themself Dianne, they use Anne not for her mind... but instead for her power and to use it for it's namesake.............. to bring about Calamity.
• Andrias still sends out the Assassin bot to Willow Brooke to kill Marcy and the Plantars in order to tie up any loose ends in his plans.
• Marcy's Calamity powers awaken while protecting the Plantars in the Supermarket and finds that her powers allow her to use magic though the use of any staff-like object. In this case, a metal pipe in the storage freezer that she was going to use to bash in the robot's head, and summons a blast of energy that sends the Assassin bot packing. Marcy later buys a foldable walking staff from a drug store and carries it around in her satchel in case of "Magical Girl emergencies" as she calls them. (Her powers are an homage to Matt's original idea for Marcy to be a sorceress.)
• In this version of Anne-sterminator, it's laundry day and since Marcy can't go back to her house to grab clean clothes, she has to wear some of Anne's, namely her iconic St. James Middle School uniform. When the Assassin bot comes to kill Marcy, it sees Marcy in Anne's clothes and gets confused allowing everyone time to escape. In the junkyard, Marcy whips out her staff and uses her Calamity powers to cast an Anti-gravity spell on the Assassin bot, launching it into orbit where it's bomb detonates. Marcy finally has to come clean about Andrias and what happened to Anne. While the Boonchuys are devastated about Anne, they know that Anne would have wanted to get the Plantars and Sasha back home and use that as motivation to keep going.
• While in The Core, Anne's Fantasy world is one where Amphibia and Earth are merged into one. (A tongue in cheek mocking of Star vs' ending) She gets sus when she notices everyone acting off. When Anne calls bull on the whole thing, The Core leaves her in the darkness with only the light of her phone containing her real memories to keep her company.
• During The Core's invasion, Dianne uses Anne's Calamity powers in their fight against Sasha making it far more of a brutal beat-down than a proper 1v1. When Grime sacrifices himself, it causes Sasha's Calamity powers to awaken, making it a fair fight.
• While battling Andrias, when Marcy starts running low on Calamity juice, Andrias starts mocking her. Telling her that "If she wants to, he'll gladly let her use the music box to take her to another world where she can run away from her problems.... again." and this, along with the Boonchuys playing "As If It's Your Last" by Blackpink over the city's loudspeakers to remind Marcy that she's doing all this for Anne leads to an epic tear filled "I'm... Done... Running..." as she twirls her staff around, her powers flare back up, and she gets her second wind.

Note
Hello there! May I have your permissions to use your Calamity font in my tumblr bot? It makes cross-stitch samplers out of textposts, and if people want to stitch the designs they can get the patterns on Ko-fi.
Thank you very much!
You have my permission! If you could credit me somewhere for the font, that'd be great

WIP Update Tag
Tumblr media
Tagged a long time ago by @thewritingcoroner -- thanks, friend! Sharing a little about some WIPs sounds like a lot of fun--and I will try try try to be brief :)
The Invisible Girl
Operating out of the first half of draft 2, we are moving very slowly, because draft 2 is really about tightening the plot, and in some places, there is very little plot to be found! (this is clearly a place where I thought previous oh this is a problem for later Cass. Later Cass is here, guys. this problem still is too) I just need to tighten up motives and...figure out the plot. ughhhhhhhhh ;)
Here's a bit of the last written scene:
“Do you paint?” Paris’ lips twitched. “No. Paint is expensive, you know.” Antonio ducked his head. “Ah, yes. Of course.” “Charcoal,” Paris said. “Nice pencils, on occasion. I’d like to get a set of watercolors sometime.” “Are you good?” Paris held up his hands. “Well, I don’t know—” “I’m sure you are,” Antonio blustered. “You’re excellent at the violin.”
Stars and Ships
Very much on the back burner right now, our space crew is also stalled in draft 1 due to my biggest enemy, and if you're guessing that it's plot, then you are correct! I know where they're going. I know how they get there. I just don't know why, yet. But I'm still writing ideas that come to me about how the characters interact :) that's the most fun part.
Jax swiped and grew more bored by the second. If he saw one more diagram of an engine room he was going to scream. Too bad. Someone else could deal with the problem when the engines overheated. Surely Sepia would whip out some clever anecdote, like oh, the engine rooms are equipped with service bots that cater to their every need.
Bonus: Bent Nails or Something
Currently still quite excited about this one! We are in our zero draft phase of slinging out scenes like our lives depend on it, and praying they'll string together soon. Since this is a quieter slice of life story we don't have to worry about plot as much--we just point the characters in a certain direction and then try to get them to cry. Haha but also seriously. ;)
“Are you knocking it down?” Michael said, unable to keep his vows when faced with the calamity of the porch they were standing on, Sutton supposed. The boards underfoot were of dubious disintegration. Jacob had been waiting for it, apparently. “Nope,” he fired back, hands in his pockets. “Ain’t getting paid for that.” “Who’s paying?” “Owner,” Jacob said. “Wants it spruced up, doesn’t care how I do it. I get free rent while I’m here.” Michael looked affronted. “Why’d he hire you?”
Congrats if you made it all the way down here! (and thanks for reading) Passing on the tags to @charlesjosephwrites @writernopal @zmwrites @sparrow-orion-writes @dontjudgemeimawriter and anyone else who'd like to report in!
