Chalice of the gods spoilers:

yes percy deserves to go berserk at the gods, especially zeus, but he never will as long as he has something to live for.

he's not about personal glory, or honor, he's very pragmatic and he's just about living the good life. he knows that the gods, flawed as they may be, are the lesser evil. as long as they leave his family and annabeth alone, he's not going to go berserk and scorched earth on them.

there were also numerous instances throughout the book where he could've bullied the nereids and minor river gods but he doesn't, because he doesn't want to make people scared or uncomfortable. there was also an uncomfortable moment at home where it seemed like his parents were waiting for a pipe bursting tantrum from percy about the news from estelle (which made me sad that they were a bit scared of his temper). it's obvious that percy has a temper but even more obvious that he tries to keep it down and takes good care to make people feel comfortable around him.

tldr percy is a very sweet boy with an extremely laid back personality, and it will take a lot more than the gods messing with his own life to make him go the way luke did.

Last night, I finished reading Star Wars: Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade,by Delilah S. Dawson. The book I'm reading now is what I'm considering my 15th birthday book, even though I actually got it this past Sunday, because it wasn't out in time for my birthday. It is called Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 6: The Chalice of the Gods, by Rick Riordan.
