Okay so I have a really fucking weird object show headcannon, and it involves battle for circle.

So in basics the circle are the basis of all of object life, with mutations and evolution changing the circles and the blank space around them into different objects and a sometimes diverse landscape. All changes happening due to a show occurring/new season starting.

With each evolution increasing the objects maturity/intelligence and different appearances and lessing the need/willingness for a host and show to lead them, and the background changing enough for objects to interact with the world and live comfortably without the need/want for a host/show to change the land via a prize and/or with challenges.

For example: Backpacks world from ONE being in late stage evolution, with seemingly no common acceptance/need of hosts appearing and shows randomly happening.

And the possibility of objects competing in a show to be an instinct/genetic trait thats phased out through evolution/growing maturity.

For example: BFDI/BFB and II/III having objects and hosts at first be very willing to compete in shows, and later on being less and less willing to compete in shows/want to do other things than compete. With BFB's host(four) spiraling from half of the contestants leaving and other hosts coming in. Along with the longer competing contestants in II not being as happy to compete as they where in the first season.

So what this ramble is implying: Battle for circle is an object world in the earliest stages of their evolution and Circle with a Mole is the first contestant in their world to show signs of physical and mental change.

what are your thoughts when Garcia tells Voit that he was the reason she was "forced back" into the bau? It's been a while since that was brought up and i wonder if they'll address how Garcia truly feels about coming back to the bau with her complicated relationship to the job due to the trauma it brings and if she decides to leave once everything relating to Voit is over or stay for whatever reason aside from cm still needing garcia for meta reasons?

I've wanted them to explore this for a long time. I was excited at the beginning of CME to see the impact the return to her old job would have on Garcia. Her whole speech about trauma and missing the team, but not missing the work, is one of the best scenes in Evolution, and I was looking forward to watching her navigate her job with this new perspective. Unfortunately, the exploration of her mental health was quickly brushed aside so the show could focus on her relationship with Tyler. There's some interesting conversation to be had in the Tyler plot about Penelope and how she handles her boundaries, but as a whole, it was a missed opportunity not to expand on where her character left off at the end of season 15.

18x06 was the first time the show brought up Garcia being forced back to the BAU since 16x04. It could just be a reminder to the audience of the damage Voit has done to Penelope specifically. Or it could be planting seeds for the future. For my own peace of mind, I need it to be the latter. There's also the scene with Tyler where she's struggling to look at crime footage, but pushes through it anyway. It's a more abbreviated version of some of the moments used in the original series to build up to her decision to leave. Maybe these are signs we're building up to something big for her here, too.

I would love to see a moment where Penelope discusses what she wants for her future. If the Voit plot is wrapped up before the series ends, she would likely talk about moving on, and then another Big Bad would force her into staying. But there are so many different avenues they could take her down that I would be happy with.

I'm just desperate to see the writers dive into some deeper questions about Penelope's evolution and what the job means to her now.

i think team horizon was originally formed with good intentions but once pyre really indulged her mega evolution obsession and fell down a rabbit hole, the team got worse and worse over time….
