Mouth to Meat
Cannibal Yakuza Sukuna X [Retracted] F!Reader
Summary: Dr. Y/N L/N is tasked with profiling Ryomen Sukuna, a feared yakuza boss known for his violent tendencies and taste for human flesh. Through a series of therapy sessions, she gains his trust—or so it seems. But Sukuna isn’t the only predator in the room. Behind Y/N’s professional demeanor hides a secret far darker than even Sukuna’s sins. When the masks drop, it’s clear: monsters don’t always look like him.
Trigger Warnings: This chapter contains themes of manipulation, torture, obsessive behavior, and violence (murder), twisted relationships, blood & gore, talks of cannibalism but none actually happening, sadistic behavior, manipulative characters, psychological horror, smut between aged-up characters who are a little OC (maybe idk.) If any of these subjects are sensitive for you, please proceed with caution or consider skipping this chapter.
A/N: I had to write this chapter because I couldn't let the bitch walk into the sunset with Sukuna without consequences. If you came here looking for sanity—you’re in the wrong place. If you came for blood, mind games, and a couple so unhinged they’d make Bonnie and Clyde look like amateurs—welcome home.
Previous Chapter 3 - Unravelling the first Red Threads (Tumblr/Ao3)
Chapter 4 - Love Like a Blade to the Throat (Final Chapter)
20 years later - Prague, Czech Republic
Somewhere within a palace of glass and grandeur.
The scent of roasting flesh wove through the corridors like a lover’s whisper, curling into the opulent sitting room where she sat, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows that bled light from the cloudy day onto the polished parquet.
Outside, the city stretched like a breathing tapestry—cobblestone veins pulsing with life, gothic spires cutting against the deep violet sky—a place of history, of culture, of meat .
She sipped her tea, an exquisite Darjeeling that Uraume had steeped to perfection, the delicate tannins swirling on her tongue, mixing with the ghost of her last meal.
A violinist played in the streets below, a haunting melody rising through the cold air, as if mourning something that hadn't yet died.
Sukuna was away, wrapped up in his Yakuza affairs—uninteresting, irrelevant. His business did not concern her unless it bled into her pleasures. And at this moment, her pleasure was solitude. The slow, methodical unraveling of the next course.
She ran a gloved finger along the gilded rim of her cup, watching the city breathe. The people—faceless, nameless, meaningless—walked beneath her like ants in a glass colony, unaware of their place in the food chain. She could already tell which ones would be worth her time. The elderly, too chewy. The sick, too bitter. The common, too dull.
Then there were the rarities. The ones who smelled of something divine.
She never discriminated. Child, woman, man—if they met her standard, they were meat. She appreciated the fine subtleties: the tender sweetness of youth, the complexity of a well-lived life, the marbled richness of one who indulged in excess. A trained palate could tell everything from scent alone—stress, diet, fear.
The best ones always had a touch of regret, like a delicate aging wine just before its peak.
From the lower levels of the palace, Uraume’s voice murmured instructions to the kitchen staff, knives gliding, bones cracking—the rhythmic symphony of preparation. The air carried the aroma of caramelizing fat, slow-roasted, methodically seasoned. A new acquisition.
A former artist, if she recalled correctly. He had smelled of oil paints and ambition—an excellent vintage.
A faint smile touched her lips as she traced patterns in the condensation on the windowpane.
The Japanese government had been searching for her and Sukuna for years, their relentless pursuit as amusing as it was futile. They had no face to chase and no name to whisper in their war rooms. She was a chameleon, slipping through their fingers like smoke, shifting personas like silk dresses.
She had once been a respected scientist, a leading mind in psychiatric evaluation. They had placed criminals before her, monsters they could not comprehend, and she had dissected them with words sharper than any scalpel.
But none had fascinated her. None had been worthy.
Not until him.
Sukuna.
Now how useful he’d been.
Nanami Kento had smelled of regret, of burnt-out ideals, of controlled rage masked beneath a meticulous routine. It had made his flesh all the more exquisite, the tension of his being seared into every bite.
Gojo Satoru had been more of a curiosity than a meal. A man who reeked of arrogance and saccharine defiance, the taste of him was almost overwhelming—too bright, too indulgent, like a dessert meant to be consumed in small, rare portions. And yet she had devoured him.
Together, they formed a rare combination of different types of meat that complemented each other beautifully. In fact, one could argue that they worked better in tandem than they did alone. The scent of sandalwood and petrichor still overwhelmed her senses whenever she thought of them. They were the only pair she had Sukuna personally age and dry, allowing them to indulge in small, exquisite quantities from time to time.
Their deaths had been art, a composition of pain and revelation. The moment they had realized what she was, what she had always been, had been sublime.
A deep, satisfied breath filled her lungs.
The violinist below finished her song.
A pause.
Then the next piece began—something somber, something hungry.
She smiled, taking another sip of her tea.
One day she’d invite her in for tea, and she’d never breathe again.
Suddenly, the cold kiss of metal pressed against her throat. A whisper of steel, a lover’s caress. The sharp edge bit in, precise, shallow—just enough to let warmth bloom against her skin. The scent of iron curled into the air, mingling with the fading notes of her tea.
She did not flinch.
Instead, she exhaled slowly, setting the cup down with a masterful grace. The porcelain barely whispered against the saucer. Outside, the city droned on, oblivious.
“Who are you?” She mused, voice carrying the weight of detached amusement.
“Doesn’t matter.”
The voice behind her was young. Rough with amusement, tinged with something manic, something starving. Close—too close. His breath skimmed the shell of her ear, warm and cloying with the scent of strawberry candy. That scent—familiar but off, like a memory half-rotted in the recess of her mind.
“All that matters is you are dying.”
A chuckle rumbled low in his throat, the kind that belonged to men who enjoyed carving smiles into others.
Her fingers traced the condensation on the windowpane. “At the very least,” she murmured, unbothered, “I should know who gets the privilege of killing me.”
He laughed, the sound sharp and wild, like the crackle of a fire before it swallowed a home.
“I don’t fulfill my food’s desires.”
So naive. So green.
Whoever this child was, he did not know her.
Did not recognize the years of artistry, the refinement of her craft.
But he would learn.
Her eyes flicked to his hand’s reflection in the glass, catching the faintest silhouette—a shadow barely restrained by flesh. Young. Vibrant. Pulsing with a thrill he did not yet understand.
“And Uraume?” She asked lightly, tilting her head just so. A calculated distraction. “They don’t fit your palate?”
The knife remained against her throat, but the air shifted.
“I don’t like pet meat,” he said with a rumbling laugh, something unhinged curling in his voice.
Her tongue pressed against the back of her teeth. That was when she noticed it. The stillness.
Beneath her, the kitchen, once alive with the symphony of knives and fire, was silent. The staff—silent.
Not even the fire crackled anymore.
The palace was dead.
Her lips curled, amusement flickering beneath her growing hunger.
He had cleaned her table before she could even taste his work.
That was a shame.
And yet, this boy—this laughing, overgrown child—had gotten inside. Past Sukuna’s guards. Past Uraume. That in itself was... commendable .
He would taste divine.
He would taste even better if she hunted him for Sukuna before he came back.
She started her plan. The one that had never failed her before because ‘men always led with their dicks.’
Not that anyone had dared to come after her before this, so the situation would be… unique .
“I know I’m a few years older than you,” she mused, voice as smooth as the tea she had been sipping. “But I’d really like to taste you before I die.”
The blade didn’t waver.
She leaned ever so slightly into it—a delicate pressure, a dance of power.
His grip tensed.
“I can show you things you haven’t even imagined.” She let the words drip like honey, her voice lilting with something dangerous. “Might even ruin you for the rest of your life. Make you compare every woman you meet to me. And if you’ve gotten past the homeowner’s guards, then..." A small, sultry pause. “You must be worthy of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
His laughter came abruptly, sharp and sudden, like the crack of a gunshot in an empty hall.
“Ahh, sorry, lady.”
He pulled away, hand gripping her jaw instead, forcing her gaze toward the figure—she hadn't noticed—standing in the corner.
Unmoving. Watching.
A man, twenties. Tall. Dark hair unruly, eyes shadowed with something that did not belong in the face of someone young.
Her brain flicked between them. The one behind her—grinning, feral—and the other, silent, still, with the patience of a predator that knew it would eat eventually.
“My boyfriend over there wouldn’t like that very much.”
A slow, teasing drawl.
“And I’m very loyal.”
The boy behind her—her would-be killer—let go of her jaw and took a step in front of her and crouched his gladiator form before her like a child observing a caged bird.
Close enough that the scent of him filled her lungs again—sweet, nostalgic. He reminded her of someone, but not enough. The base notes were there but not the full body of the scent.
Something was wrong.
Something was off .
“Besides,” he continued, a lazy smirk tugging at his lips beneath the large hood, the only part that was visible, “even if I wasn’t loyal and into women…” A pause, like he was savoring it. “I don’t think old hags with sloppy trail would appeal to me.”
Her blood boiled .
She was not old . Just… forties .
She was refined .
At worst, a cougar .
Her grip flexed against the armrest of her chair, nails pressing into the fabric. Her eyes flicked to the silent one in the corner again, his gaze steady, unreadable.
The boy in front of her smirked wider, tilting his head as if he could hear the rage simmering in her bones.
“Besides—” he drawled, a teasing lilt in his voice. “We’re related, Auntie .”
The room went still.
Something curdled in her stomach as he lifted a hand to his hood, peeling it back to reveal—
No.
The hair.
The shape of the jaw.
The way the light caught his features, so damnably familiar but younger, softer, unweathered by the years—
Yuji.
And yet—no.
This was something else entirely.
His grin sharpened, bright and bloodthirsty.
“Long time no see, Aunt.”
She did not let her expression waver.
“I thought you died in childbirth.”
Her voice was smooth, measured, revealing nothing. The wound at her throat was still bleeding, staining the delicate fabric of her dress, but she did not falter.
A lesser creature would have trembled. Would have broken under the weight of inevitability.
But she was not lesser.
Yuji grinned at her, bright and sharp, all teeth and madness. “Aww, well, we can’t all be lucky now, Aunt, can we?” He finished by booping her nose as he stood up to his full mountain height.
There was nothing human in his eyes.
No warmth. No mercy.
Not the kind of insanity she had known in her past lovers, in the men who thought themselves monsters but were simply misguided.
No, this was something else entirely.
This was a creature who would kill her, carve out her ribs, and dance inside the hollow of her corpse, laughing all the while.
He was like her, but tactless.
Her mind turned, cold and quick.
This was bad.
Sukuna’s relationship with Yuji’s family had never been cordial. This would not end well for her.
Not unless she could find an opening.
She refused to die on her knees. She refused to die, caught off-guard.
But before she could move, the other one—the silent one—shifted.
The dark-haired man stepped forward to say something, but Yuji grabbed him by the waist, pulling him flush against his chest in one fluid motion.
She watched as Yuji’s grip tightened possessively before he devoured the other man’s mouth. A hungry, desperate kiss, all sharp edges and insanity.
The raven-haired one stiffened, then let out a low chuckle against Yuji’s lips, something quiet and knowing, something that sent a ripple of unease down her spine. He blushed when Yuji grabbed his ass, his arms tightening around Yuji as he whispered something low, something only for Yuji to hear.
Yuji’s eyes lit up.
“Really?” His voice was laced with anticipation. He dragged his teeth along Megumi’s jaw, breathless. “Ah, Megumi, I can’t wait. I’ll give you anything you want. Whenever and wherever you want it.”
The—Megumi, apparently—blushed deeper.
Yuji kissed him again, slow and lingering, as if he’d just offered Yuji something of value.
It didn’t matter.
None of this did.
Sukuna would be here soon, and these two would be dead.
She pressed the hidden emergency button beneath the window, her fingers barely brushing the smooth surface before retracting.
She cleared her throat, hoping to stall them with empty words.
But then—
The glint of steel.
A flash of silver.
The butcher’s knife buried deep in her throat.
The impact stole her breath. A vicious, grotesque intrusion that sent a violent shudder through her body as the blade tore into her carotid artery.
Her hand flew to the wound instinctively, fingers pressing against the gaping, bleeding maw at her neck, but it was already over.
Yuji’s voice ripped through the room.
“Don’t interrupt me when I’m talking to Megumi!”
His face was painted in her blood, crimson streaks dripping from his chin, spattered across his cheekbones like a masterpiece of slaughter.
And he still hadn’t moved his other hand from Megumi’s waist.
Still hadn’t looked at her when he plunged the blade in deeper, twisting it viciously, backhanded, with the same ease as one might swat away an insect.
Her vision blurred.
She felt the warmth of her own life spilling down her chest, soaking into the fabric of her dress, pooling at her feet.
No.
No, this wasn’t how it was supposed to end.
Her breath hitched, gurgling as blood filled her lungs, drowning her from the inside out. Her body convulsed, her fingers trembling as they clutched at her own throat, her own wound, desperate and useless.
Yuji barely spared her another glance, his attention already back on Megumi, his lips curling in delight as if she were nothing more than an afterthought.
Nothing more than meat.
Her body sagged forward, her consciousness slipping—
And the last thing she saw before the darkness swallowed her whole was the way Megumi smirked against Yuji’s lips, eyes glinting with something ancient, something feral, something that whispered—
‘You never stood a chance.’
She was dead.
Should have been dead.
Should have succumbed to the darkness seeping into her veins, to the heat of her own blood pooling beneath her like a grotesque lover’s embrace.
But she wasn’t… dead .
Not yet.
With the last remnants of her strength, she moved.
Ripped the blade from her throat, lunged—
Yuji caught her effortlessly.
Like she was nothing.
Like she was a toy whose final act of defiance only amused him.
With an almost bored flick of his wrist, he sent her sprawling onto the cold marble, her body smacking against the ground with a wet, sickening sound. Before she could recover, before she could even breathe, he was on top of her, straddling her hips, his full weight pressing into her lungs, into her ribs, into her very existence.
She gasped. The world narrowed to the warmth of his breath, the press of his steel thighs caging her in, the sickly-sweet scent of strawberry candy, thick and artificial, tainting the coppery tang of her own blood.
Yuji leaned in close, his lips ghosting over her throat where she bled out, inhaling deeply.
“Aww, the hag fights.”
His voice was honeyed mockery, dripping with amusement.
She glared at him.
He grinned, sharp and wolfish, his nose grazing the sticky, open wound at her throat.
“Ahh, you smell nice.” He exhaled, letting the warmth of his breath trail down her skin. “But I’m not sophisticated like you, Aunt. I can’t even point out what you smell like.”
She clenched her teeth, fury crackling through her veins.
“Aww, are you mad because you’re going to be eaten?” he murmured, tilting his head, “or because you’ll be eaten by someone so uncultured?”
She wanted to spit at him, to carve her rage into his flesh, but her body was no longer hers to control.
The corners of his lips curled, delighting in her weakening form.
The edges of her vision blurred. Her limbs felt leaden. The air, thick with blood, became harder and harder to pull into her failing lungs.
Yuji tsked, shaking his head as he sat back, still straddling her, still watching the light fade from her eyes.
“I guess the mystery dies with you.” He pouted, disappointed. “Such a shame. I thought you’d put up more of a fight.”
His fingers brushed a stray lock of hair from her face, almost tender if not for the cruelty in his touch.
“You were my hero once,” he murmured, voice softer now, as if he were speaking to a childhood ghost. Then, with a sneer, he added, “And yet, you die like everyone else—pathetic. Gasping for air.”
He stood, her body already cooling beneath him.
Her vision darkened. The last thing she saw was Megumi, silent and watchful, stepping forward to press a bottle of bleach into Yuji’s waiting hand.
Yuji grinned, kissed Megumi’s cheek, and then—
The stench of chemicals flooded her senses.
The burn was instant. It set her nerves ablaze.
She screamed.
And he laughed.
She screamed again, her body thrashing weakly against the inevitable, her own agony peeling her mind apart like a scalpel to flesh—
And he laughed louder, tilting his head.
The last thing she felt was fire.
The last thing she heard was Megumi’s low, amused chuckle as Yuji whispered something against his lips.
Then—nothing.
The body was still warm when Yuji whipped his face of her blood and shoved Megumi onto the nearest table.
The same table she had sat at just moments ago, sipping her tea, watching the city below like some untouchable queen.
Now, she was nothing more than a stain on the floor.
With a smooth motion from one hand, Yuji’s hoodie hit the ground, revealing the broad expanse of his chest, the play of muscles shifting as he rolled his shoulders. His breath was heavy, the scent of blood and bleach clinging to his skin like perfume.
Megumi barely had time to react before Yuji’s hands were on him— grabbing, pulling, owning .
He smirked against his boyfriend’s lips.
They fucked right next to her body.
Yuji bit his neck in return, hard enough to bruise, hard enough to leave a mark that would linger.
Megumi’s head tipped back, his voice breaking into something raw, something real.
The palace walls swallowed his cries, but the floors beneath them carried the sound two stories down.
They didn’t care.
Not when Yuji’s fingers dug into Megumi’s thighs, gripping tight, possessive, worshipping in a way only a monster could.
Not when Megumi's nails raked over Yuji’s shoulders, down his spine, carving half-moons into muscle until he, unknowingly, drew bits of blood as he shuddered under him.
Not when Yuji leaned down, peppering lazy kisses along Megumi’s jaw, down his throat, whispering, “You drive me insane, babe. I love you, so… so so much.” Each word punctuated by a deep thursts that had Megumi ascending.
And Megumi—Megumi, who never surrendered, who fought against every chain the world tried to place on him—simply whispered back, breathless, ruined, “I... I love you.”
Yuji tugged his hair, making space for himself so that he could leave his marks undisturbed. Biting and licking while his movements never slowed down.
The doors slammed open, the room shaking with Sukuna’s presence before he even spoke.
“What the fuck are you doing here, brat?” His voice was a growl, venomous and sharp. His crimson eyes flared, scanning the room— blood, bleach, a corpse.
Then his gaze snapped to Megumi.
His eyes darkened.
“And why the hell is your whore here?”
Megumi flinched, his dazed mind barely processing the insult.
Instinctively, his head dipped, pressing against Yuji’s chest, letting Yuji’s larger frame shield him from Sukuna’s line of sight.
Yuji, however—oh, Yuji did not pause.
Did not falter.
Did not even acknowledge the shift in atmosphere.
Instead, he turned his head, growling over his shoulder, voice thick with warning, dripping with something feral.
“Don’t fucking call him a whore.”
No threat. No bravado. No posturing.
Just a statement of fact.
Sukuna’s expression twitched.
Something flickered in those crimson eyes.
But whatever rage threatened to boil over, whatever punishment he had prepared, was forgotten when Yuji turned back to Megumi and continued—as Yuji felt him clench around him.
The sex was always good with Yuji, but the moments like these were what made Megumi turned on for Yuji impossibly more.
Not the voyeurism, definitely not.
Not the power.
But the devotions.
Megumi trembled, overwhelmed, undone, his entire body wrecked from the sheer force of it.
The last push, the final claim, and Megumi’s entire body shattered.
His teeth sank into Yuji’s shoulder to stifle his voice, his breath stuttering, drowning in sensation.
Yuji—strong, brutal, relentless—pressed kisses over Megumi’s hair, whispering low praises against his damp skin.
He followed soon after, burying himself deep, his fingers gripping Megumi’s waist just rough enough to hold him still, but never enough to bruise.
Even in pleasure, Yuji never hurt him.
A moment passed.
Then another.
The world slowed, settled, the tension shifting from chaos to something intimate.
Still covering him, still inside, Yuji reached for the throw blanket on the couch and draped it over Megumi’s body before pressing a soft kiss and pulling out.
Megumi, oversensitive and in love, almost whined at the loss.
Yuji kissed his nose to shush him.
Megumi, still dazed, still shaking, flushed at the warmth of it.
Yuji smirked, his voice dropping low, intimate, teasing.
“We’ll continue this in a bit.”
Megumi shivered.
He simply nodded, weakly tugging his hoodie over his head.
Yuji once dressed turned to face Sukuna, who had long since given up trying to understand whatever the hell this was. He was busy thinking.
The scent of bleach clung to the air, thick and suffocating.
His eyes flickered between the cooling corpse on the floor and the empty space where his most trusted guards should have been.
Uraume was still missing.
His staff—missing.
His castle—silent.
And standing before him now, with all the arrogance of a cat that had just torn open a bird’s throat and left it twitching in the dirt, was Yuji.
The brat yawned, stretching as if this were a casual visit. He tugged his hoodie into place, nonchalant, unbothered, unshaken.
“I came to talk retirement plans, Unc.”
Sukuna’s eyes darkened.
The casualness. The audacity.
“I will kill you,” Sukuna growled, voice low, filled with venom. Then, with a wicked sneer, he added, “Then I’ll rape your whore.”
The words were designed to provoke.
Yuji’s brows twitched, but instead of the usual explosion—the feral, bloodthirsty rage Sukuna had come to expect from him ever since learning of his existence a few months ago—Yuji smirked.
Because Yuji knew.
Knew that not reacting would send Sukuna spiraling faster than any violent outburst ever could.
“How, though?” Yuji tilted his head, voice mockingly curious. “It’s not like you’ll live long enough for that.”
Sukuna’s scowl deepened. “Threats don’t work on me.”
"Ahh, but don’t you wanna know where she went?” Yuji asked lazily. Like he didn’t really care.
Sukuna had gotten an emergency pop-up; he didn’t think it was serious; he thought she was misusing it again because she just wanted some dick in the middle of the day.
Then realization slithered into his veins like ice water.
His gaze darted to the corner by the windows.
The corner where she always sat.
The dress—the dress he had bought her a few days ago, flickred to recognition—now just another piece of ruined fabric, clinging to a lifeless body.
Bleached.
Burned.
Destroyed beyond recognition.
A sound tore from Sukuna’s throat, something raw, something he didn’t recognize.
Rage?
No.
No, it was something worse.
Yuji barely gave him a moment to process before he moved.
Fast.
Effortless.
Like he was born to kill kings.
The same massive knife drove straight into Sukuna’s skull.
Sukuna fell to his knees.
Blood poured, thick and hot, down his face, into his mouth. His body screamed at him to fight, to consume the brat and spit his bones out across the marble floor—
But he couldn’t.
His limbs refused to obey.
Yuji crouched beside him on all fours, watching with the fascination of a child pulling the wings off an insect.
Sukuna growled, lips parting to curse him, to end him—
But his tongue was useless.
His voice was gone.
The knife in his skull was cutting through everything.
He knew.
He was dying.
“Damn, Unc,” Yuji mused, tapping the handle of the knife like it was nothing more than a misplaced ornament. “I expected more.”
Sukuna’s fingers twitched, reaching, reaching—
Yuji tsked, shaking his head.
“Pathetic,” he sighed. “You know, I was gonna eat you fancy-like. High fashion. Cannibal couture.” He grinned, teeth flashing, eyes glinting with unhinged amusement. “But now? Nah. I think I’ll deep fry your ass. Serve you up with ketchup. Maybe even wrap you in a burrito with some gas station nacho cheese.”
Sukuna’s vision blurred.
His limbs weakened.
He was crawling now.
Dragging himself across the floor, inch by inch, toward her.
Yuji let him.
Watched, entertained, before lazily kicking away the furniture Sukuna tried to use for support.
“Oops.”
Sukuna barely heard it.
Barely cared.
His fingers brushed against hers.
Cold.
Lifeless.
She had gone before him.
And now—he was following.
His vision blackened.
The last thing he heard was Yuji’s voice, light, teasing, victorious.
“You know, Uncle, it’s kinda funny,” he hummed. “I did in a day what the Japanese spies couldn’t do in years.”
And then—
Darkness.
---
Japan
The scent of burnt flesh still lingered in Megumi’s nostrils as he stood by the Mustang GT , eyes hidden behind sunglasses, hands in his pockets, waiting.
The city was alive behind him—the murmur of passing cars, the distant wail of sirens. Tokyo never stopped.
Neither did they.
He could still recall how they had to tie Sukuna along with his woman to a boulder and sink him in the ocean. Being cannibals sounded absolutely disgusting to both him and Yuji; it was more to piss her and Sukuna off in there final moments.
A woman and her son approaching broke him out of his thoughts.
The woman—blonde, aged by grief rather than years—moved stiffly, as if the weight of her own bones was too much to bear. Her son, broad-shouldered, protective, walked beside her like a silent bodyguard, one hand resting on her shoulder as if that could shield her from reality. He had to grow up too quickly when his older brother, some long white-haired idiot, got kidnapped by Y/N years ago, and they serched but found absolutely nothing until he met Megumi in college.
Megumi didn’t acknowledge them beyond extending his hand. The woman pressed a thick envelope of cash into his palm, fingers trembling.
He took it without looking.
In exchange, he handed her his envelope.
Inside was—photographs.
The last remnants of the woman she had spent decades searching for.
The last proof that her nightmare had an ending.
Her breath hitched as she flipped through them, her shoulders sagging with a relief that was almost indistinguishable from sorrow. Tears rolled down her cheeks, silent, exhausted.
Megumi turned to the son, offering him the envelope of cash back.
“Take this,” he said, voice as flat as dead air. “Leave the country. Never return.”
The son hesitated and looked at Megumi like he wanted to say something. But in the end, he took the money.
And they left.
Megumi watched Todo and his mother, Yuki Tsukumo, disappear into the Tokyo sunlight.
It had been years since Megumi first realized the world wasn’t made of heroes and villains—just predators and prey.
When he was a child, someone had killed his father’s best friend, his godfather, Gojo Satoru, Japan’s former defense minister. The same person had slaughtered Gojo’s husband, Nanami Kento, the nation’s most renowned psychiatric scientist for the criminally insane.
The murderer was never caught.
Not because there was no evidence. Not because there were no suspects.
But because no one ever saw the culprits again.
The perfect crime.
Or so they thought.
When Megumi entered university, he found him.
Itadori Yuji.
Shy, socially awkward, nerdy Yuji.
Yuji, who stuttered when Megumi looked at him too long.
Yuji, who was too eager to please, too quick to latch onto Megumi’s words like they were commandments from God.
Yuji, whose hands twitched when he thought no one was looking.
Yuji, who would do anything for him.
That was when Megumi knew.
Someone had to replace Geto Suguru after his unfortunate suicide.
And who better than Megumi himself.
The plan he had crafted with Higuruma would succeed. And it did.
Yuji wasn’t just insane.
He was Megumi’s brand of insane.
The problem was his family.
Toji and his sisters Maki and Mai were now breathing down his neck to let them ‘protect’ Megumi from Yuji.
He wasn’t supposed to become this insane.
They were watching, waiting for proof that Yuji had rotted beyond repair.
That he was too far gone.
For Megumi to kill him and clear his own name, forever.
They didn’t understand.
Yuji wasn’t a mistake.
Yuji was in love.
And Megumi didn’t want a love that came with boundaries wrapped in ‘unconditional’ packaging.
Megumi didn’t want a love who wouldn’t kill for him
Once he knew what he could have, he didn’t want to get back to dating a partner who would turn into just another ordinary 9-to-5 nobody—some lifeless, gutless thing that spent years chasing him only to grow fat and complacent the second he confessed.
Someone who’d let their body and mind wither, who would suck the life from him, siphon his ideas, drain his passion until he was nothing but a husk.
Sucking up his energy and drive and keep taking and taking until there is nothing left to take, then one day wake up and tell Megumi he’s changed. He’s not socially acceptable in one way or the other; he isn’t this or that when they never look at themselves.
No.
Megumi didn’t want it at any cost.
He wanted Yuji.
Because Yuji would never stop chasing him.
Yuji would never stop seeing him, loving him, prioritizing him over everything and everyone—even his own blood.
Yuji would never become complacent in any way that hurts Megumi.
Megumi wanted a love that could burn the world down for him all the while smiling about it.
And Yuji gave him that.
For seven years now, Yuji had proven it, time and time again.
He had slit throats and burned bodies and erased entire bloodlines for him.
He had made Megumi the center of his universe.
And Megumi would never settle for less.
So he decided.
He opened the car door with a click and slid inside.
Warm arms wrapped around him immediately.
Yuji’s lips ghosted over his temple, lingering, slow.
“You look like a hot celebrity in sunglasses, Megumi,” Yuji murmured in his ear, voice husky. “Keep wearing those.”
Megumi grumbled, but his face betrayed him, the blush creeping up his neck.
Yuji grinned, turned the ignition and shifted gears.
The Mustang GT roared to life, leaving the past in flames behind them.
A/N: And that concludes this love story—if you can even call it that. A relationship built on devotion, manipulation and an unholy amount of meat.

hellooo, i have a silly question:
how can i be more productive and have a better mindset? i'm currently in high school, and my grades are terribly dropping. i have 0 motivation, and i cant seem to focus on anything. i really want to be productive, but uhhh i also have strict parents.. i need help!!
hi pookie AAAH u are going through a lot let's break all that into chunks first !

How to be productive !
1.Visualize Success
Picture the outcome of completing your tasks to stay motivated.
2. Plan Your Day
Make a To-Do List: Write down tasks in order of priority.
Set Specific Goals: Break larger tasks into smaller, actionable steps.
3. Create a Routine
Establish a consistent daily schedule to build habits.
Start with high-energy tasks in the morning and save lighter ones for later.
4. Avoid Multitasking
Focus on one task at a time for better quality and efficiency.
5. Minimize Distractions
Put your phone on silent or use apps to block distractions.
Work in a clean, quiet, and organized environment.
6. Use Time Management Techniques
Pomodoro Technique: Work for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break, and repeat.
Time Blocking: Allocate specific hours for tasks or categories.
7. Take Care of Yourself
Sleep: Ensure you get 7-8 hours of rest.
Nutrition: Eat a balanced diet to maintain energy.
Exercise: Physical activity improves focus and reduces stress.
8. Avoid Perfectionism
Aim for progress, not perfection. Sometimes "done" is better than "perfect."
9. Reward Yourself
Celebrate small wins to stay motivated.
how to improve your mindset ?
I have a blog where I talked about that with details (click here!)
High school study method
I feel you I'm also in high school and grades are ONE AND FOREVER thing to care about .Improving your grades back in high school is completely achievable if U take small consistent steps and focus on progress rather than perfection as I said before .. First, create a study plan that breaks your day into manageable chunks of work and rest—this will help you avoid feeling overwhelmed. Start with your most difficult or important subjects when your energy is highest, and review class notes daily to reinforce what you’ve learned. Don’t be afraid to ask your teachers for help; they’re there to guide you and will appreciate your effort. If you struggle to stay motivated, remind yourself why education is important—whether it’s to achieve your dream career, make your family proud, or prove to yourself that you can succeed. Celebrate small wins, like completing an assignment on time or understanding a tough concept, and reward yourself with something you enjoy. Remember, you don’t have to do it alone .. study with ur friends (I mean ppl who have interest in studying), use online resources, and focus on one step at a time. You’re capable of so much more than you think ..
Study methods !
The Active Study Cycle
1. Preview the Material
Skim the chapter or topic you’ll study before class. Look at headings, subheadings, key terms, and summaries to get an overview.
2. Attend and Engage in Class
Actively participate, ask questions, and take notes in your own words. Highlight key points your teacher emphasizes.CHANGE UR MINDSET study = great future
3. Review and Organize Notes
After class, rewrite or organize your notes neatly. Use diagrams, bullet points, or flowcharts to simplify complex concepts. TRY TO REWRITE UR NOTES UNTIL THEY STUCK IN UR BRAIN
4. Apply Active Recall
Test yourself regularly by asking questions about what you’ve studied. Use flashcards, quizzes, or apps like Anki to reinforce memory.
5. Practice Spaced Repetition
Review the material multiple times over several days instead of cramming. This method strengthens long-term retention.
6. Teach Someone Else
Try explaining the topic to a friend or even to yourself . Teaching reveals gaps in your understanding and reinforces knowledge.
7. Use Past Papers and Practice Tests
Solve past exam questions or practice problems under timed conditions to familiarize yourself with the format and improve time management.
8. Break the shit Down
Divide your study sessions into 25-30 minute chunks with short breaks in between (Pomodoro Technique). This prevents burnout and keeps you focused.
9. Create a Study Space
Set up a clean, quiet space with all the tools you need (notebooks, pens, etc.)
10. End with a Summary
At the end of each study session, summarize the main points of what you’ve learned to solidify your understanding.
strict parents and motivation!
I FEEL YOU CUZ SAME
Dealing with strict parents while staying motivated as a student can feel overwhelming, but remember: Tough times never last, but tough people do. Your parents' strictness likely stems from their desire to see you succeed, even if their methods feel harsh. Instead of focusing on the pressure, channel that energy into proving to yourself—and them—that you are capable.
Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow Stay consistent with your efforts, even when it’s hard. Break your goals into small, manageable steps and celebrate every victory, no matter how small. Treat your studies as a way to build your dream life, not just something to satisfy your parents.
When things feel too heavy, remind yourself: You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think You’re not alone in this journey, and every challenge you face is shaping you into a stronger person.
Finally, keep in mind: Success is the best revenge cuz One day, when you’ve achieved your goals and created a life you love, you’ll look back and thank yourself for not giving up. Trust the process and keep moving forward—you’re stronger than you think!
Stay focused on your goals and remember that small steps lead to big results. Challenges, like dealing with strict parents or tough situations, are opportunities to grow stronger. Trust yourself, keep pushing forward, and know that your effort today shapes your success tomorrow. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Hi there! First of all I just discovered your blog and it helped me understand a lot about autism. I was recently diagnosed and I had maaany questions, and going through your blog gave me some answers. So thank you so much for your dedication! ✨
I was wondering if you could share some stuff about burnouts? I saw the post of the signs of burnouts, but I was wondering if you had information about what are the common causes or how to deal with them?
Have a great day/night!
Hi there,
I found some information in burnout recovery and causes:

Text
Signs
* Lack of motivation (hard to care about goals when everyday life is overwhelming)
* Loss of executive functioning abilities (decision-making, organization, etc.)
* Difficulty with self-care
* Easier to reach overload or meltdown
* Loss of speech, selective mutism
* Lethargy, exhaustion
* Illness, digestive issues
* Memory loss
* Inability to maintain masks or use social skills
* Overall seeming "more autistic" or stereotypical
* May have period of high energy before collapse
causes
* Passing as neurotypical / suppressing autistic traits
* Doing 'too much', too much stress
* Aging: needing more downtime, having less energy
* Changes, good or bad (relationships, jobs, living arrangements, belongings, environment, routines...)
* Sleep deprivation, poor nutrition, dehydration
* Illness
* Sensory or emotional overload
strategies
* Time
* Scheduling breaks, managing spoons
* Leave of absence
* Stimming, sensory diet
* Exercise
* Reassured and supports
* Routines
* Better environment/job/etc.
* Boundaries, saying 'no'
* Dropping the mask/façade
* Solitude
* Absolute quiet
* Creative projects, passions, special interests
* Paying attention to reactions and your body
Here’s another Infograph I found:

Text
Sleep and rest as much as you can. We often need more sleep than allistics and it is especially crucial to meet our need for extra sleep while in burnout.
Reduce your energy expenditure. Within reason, reduce social time and the amount of information you are taking in on a daily basis. This often means saying no, even to things you think you
"want" to do. (ex. re-watch TV rather than start new shows)
Engage in special interests at a comfortable and sustainable level. Rather than doing in-depth research, try decorating your space with posters or objects related to your special interests or watching a TV show related to one of them.
Focus on your hypersensitivities. Use earplugs/ headphones/sunglasses, use dishwashing gloves and a mask while cleaning, wear comfortable clothes, eat safe foods, leave spaces that are too bright, loud, or fragrant.
Stim!! MOVEMENT: dance, rock, tap, flap, stretch, walk, stim toys.
TOUCH: soft fabric, self-massage, play with hair. VISUAL: watch
TV/ movie, kaleidoscope, coloring book, satisfying videos
AUDIO/VOICE music, singing, echolalia. REPETATION/SORTING: solitaire, puzzles, sorting objects, repetitive doodles, counting.
VERY slowly create systers/routines that automate your care needs and implement them very slowly. This can look like visual aids, timers, lists, bullet journols, weekly routines, Expect if to take time and trial and error to get into these habits. Pick I-2 habits or systems to implement at a time, starting with the ones you're most excifed about.
Autistic burnout and Complex PTSD have a lot in common and executive dysfunction often increases during burnout, so resources made for these can be very helpful.
Burnout Recovery
I hope this helps. Thank you for the inbox. I hope you have a wonderful day/night. ♥️

Weekly Workout
A good jock workout hard.
A good jock eats right.
A good jock obeys coach.
Over 4 months into the year I want to reset and refocus on what it means to be a good jock.
They're on the top of my post each week and everything I talk about links to one of them but lets review them.
A good jock workout hard- It means that a jock pushes himself when he workouts. Now this is different for everyone, some Jocks have been working out since they were younger and know how to lift and the gym is like a second home and are just looking for that team and feeling of belonging as they lift the heavy weight. Then you have those Jocks that didn't start until they were 28 and don't know what to do with a kettle bell and need someone to help give them confidence and a reason to keep going into the gym where they don't feel they belong as they struggle with the light weights just to get the form down. Both are good Jocks, both work hard and make their coach proud.
A good jock eats right- Eating right means eating your best. That can be anything from following a meal plan that is tracked down to the macros or it can mean more general focus on adding more lean protein and complex carbs while cutting out a few extras. It mean working with that you have. A adult living on their own has more choices and control than a student in collage or guy that eats with his family. a Jock's paycheck also effects this as in many places eating right isn't cheap. But a good Jock does his best. Not perfect, best.
A good jock obeys coach-this one is the most general because it depends on what the Coach wants. My Jocks check in, they talk to me, they submit texts and photos. They do planks and pushups when orders. They keep their hair or clothing in the style I order. To their best. I don't expect perfect but best and if a Jock doesn't give their best, well if you follow me you have seen my Jockslave's pushups.
Goals
I did not do my 500cals this week. I did Manion Hero WOD and after more than two hundred back squats my lets aren't up to it this week. They need active recovery. As for my writing I write about 1000 words this past week so clearly going up and down. Make my stretches once more.
This week @jockboydiary, @Costasso, @orcaazure, and my marines, my jockslave, Toy, and soldier, are being good boys and giving their best.
*I don't believe donsleep or caged-macs have checked in, if you have done so under an different name let me know.
sirjocktrainer-100cal in 5 min, 5 days of stretches 2000 words write/edit
caged-macs-workouts 4 times a week
boy-s37- 85% meal diet compliance Perform 100 pushups per day Achieve chest growth 40 inches
orcaazure- Total of 5 workouts a week Stick to my meal plan 5 out of 7 days a week bicep measures goal 42 shoulders measure goal 25
donsleep-compliance with my meal plan Doing strength training 5 days a week
Costas-Drop 50 pounds 100 pushups in 2 minutes Free of sugar for 6 months

The onset of spring brought a lack of color. Grey clouds hung full and heavy, low over the city skyline. Grey crept into the corners of your apartment, darkening rooms during daytime so that you needed to keep lamps on even in midafternoon. Grey crept over your body, into your limbs. Days stretched and nights inched; you only got out of bed because you had to feed the damn cat.
That's part of why you'd gotten the cat in the first place, after a particularly long episode a few years ago, when Chan had presented you with a list of things he thought you should do to combat the blues, as he'd put it.
He meant well. But he always came at your depression like a problem solver, like just doing the right things could make it go away.
And sure, his suggestions were things that would help - get outside, call someone, don't isolate, shower even if you aren't leaving the house, drink some damn water - they weren't a cure. They were better reminders for when you were okay - good at keeping you okay for longer stretches. But when it was already too late, when the grey came, they all sounded fucking pointless.
Anyway. The cat had been a good idea.
is it bad??
Chan did his best. He was a good best friend. He just didn't understand it.
The answer to his question, you thought, as you flipped your phone over so you wouldn't see the notification if he followed up, was yes. Yes, this time was particularly bad. But you didn't have the energy to type those three words.
Terrible friend, your brain accused, and it was right.
You managed to drag yourself to work, to at least show up so you could continue to pay for your apartment and your damn cat, but not much else. You existed on cans of diet coke and microwave meals. You doom-scrolled until sunrise, then slept an hour or two at most before getting dressed for work. You left texts unanswered, the mail piled up. So did the dishes.
Chan came by, once, did your dishes for you. It made you feel worse - useless and pitiable. You'd rather he just go away, but you held it in; you knew that would only hurt his feelings.
You learned from your mistakes, one thing that could be said in your favor.
“Have you called your doctor?” he wanted to know.
What was the point? There wasn't a stop hating your life pill.
“What if you tried painting?” he asked.
“What if you just let me be?” you countered, finally tripping over the line from embarrassed apathy to defensiveness.
That pout again. “It might help,” he said. “Don't most famous artists do their best shit when they're down?”
“Get out,” you deadpanned. He dropped it, knowing this was a bigger issue, a bigger argument, than this current episode, a complex situation that went beyond the boundaries of your brain chemistry.
He put the last of your now-clean plates away. “Let's go somewhere,” he suggested.
“Chan,” you groaned. “I’m tired. I can't go gallivanting -”
“You're not tired, you're depressed,” he argued. “And going outside will help you.”
“I might have to kill you,” you said seriously, and he rolled his eyes.
In the end, he let you win. He'd been around long enough to know that eventually you'd venture outside again, hit the bars with him again, text first again, laugh at his stupid memes again. It was just a waiting game.
Still, when he left, you sat on the edge of your couch with your chin in your hands. On the living room rug, the cat rolled and showed you its belly.
“Not you, too,” you groused.
The cat did a few alligator rolls and then scampered into your bedroom and under the bed, as if chased.
You sighed. You made your way to the spare room, which had been shut - to keep the cat out. To keep your ghosts in.
Your easel was still set up in the corner. You were kind of surprised it wasn't covered in cobwebs. You'd been sketching just on paper last time you'd worked, trying to make decisions that way so you wouldn't waste a canvas, and it still sat there.
You inched closer, ran your hands over your brushes. Took a step back, eyed the paper and your sketches.
It was bad. Thank god you hadn't put it to canvas.
You pulled the paper down, crumpled it in your hands. You chased the cat out with a gentle nudge of your foot, and closed the door again, keeping both cats and ghosts on their respective sides of the door.
There was no rhyme or reason to your brain, no map or calendar to follow for the starts or stops. But eventually, the clouds broke. The grey gave way to baby buds of green, yellows pushed through soil, determined to meet the sun.
You texted Chan - drinks??
He responded - about time!!!
You texted Vernon - hello, its me
When he didn't answer, you tried again - sorry for the radio silence.
Still nothing.
You checked his socials, saw that he'd been doing his thing - a smattering of selfies, some group shots with the guys he played music with sometimes, a few nature shots: the moon, once, and what looked like the river at night.
The silence stretched. You gave up, considered it over. Grieved a little, because it had been good.
You went out on a night that teased summer even though it was months away, sank into the familiar blur of too many shots - not enough to be a problem, but maybe enough to make problems.
Under the club's ever-moving lights, you took a selfie, your drink and cleavage both showcased in the shot.
Send it to Vernon, the urge to make trouble suggested, and you listened without hesitation.
And - finally - an answer.
come here after??
You smiled a tiny, victorious smile and knocked back the rest of your drink.
omw.
Later, he gave you a rare and devastating pout as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, smoothed fingers down the still-shaking inside of your thigh.
“What'd you make me wait so long for?” he complained, those sharp eyes sparkling with mirth. When you shrugged, still a little mindless from your high, he gave the same spot on your thigh a playful slap. “Don't do it again.”
1 yr, 4 months ago
busy tonight?
not busy but.
???
not in the best mood.
bet i could fix that.
yeah. idk.
why don't you let me try?
“What's wrong?” you cooed, teasing, when Vernon let you into the apartment.
He didn't smile, didn't play along, and it sobered you quickly.
“Don't want to talk about it,” he muttered, crowding into your space. “Wasn't that big of a deal anyway.”
Just want the fix you promised, he thought.
You moaned like liquid gold when his first kiss was a bite. Encouraged, Vernon gripped you by the shoulders, pushing you back against the wall hard enough that he heard your breath escape in a single huff. He hesitated, eyes searching your face; a question.
You lifted your chin, eyes shining with something hard. When he kissed you again, you threaded your fingers through his hair and pulled, hard enough to make him hiss; an answer.
His pace was frenzied from the start, your legs around his waist and the wall holding you up. His hand curled around your throat, not squeezing, but sliding up to grip at your jaw instead, keeping you from tilting your head back, closing your eyes, losing yourself in how he felt slamming his hips flush against yours with dizzying smacks.
When you whined that you were close, he pulled you away from the wall and lowered you both to the ground, the wooden floor of his entryway cold and hard beneath your spine. It didn’t matter, didn’t do anything to stop the vortex tightening below your stomach. You slapped a hand over your face as it distorted in pleasure, Vernon kneeling between the legs you still had gripping his waist, one of his hands braced on the floor next to your head, holding his body over you.
“That’s right,” he breathed, gritted teeth flashing over you, forehead wrinkling as his own release closed in on the chase. “Just fucking take it when I fuck you into the floor.”
Then he was pulling out, breaths hissing through his teeth as he straightened up, one hand pumping himself furiously until strings of white decorated your stomach, cooling immediately in the apartment’s chilly air.
His breathing was ragged as he sagged back onto his heels, and you pushed yourself up onto your elbows, watching him warily.
Then he stood and slipped into the hallway bathroom, the light clicking on and illuminating the unlit entryway where you’d just fucked. You heard the sink run, then shut back off, and Vernon returned. He knelt gingerly - you could see his knees were red from kneeling on the wooden floor - and cleaned your stomach first, then gently between your legs.
You sat the rest of the way up then, watching him carefully as he sat back on his heels again, avoiding your gaze. Something about the moment felt like a thing alive, unfurling between you like a casablanca lily under the refracted light of the moon.
You spoke at the same time.
“Vernon?”
“You okay?”
You swallowed, rubbed absently at your elbow where you’d smacked it on the floor during the position change.
“I’m fine,” you said tentatively. “Are you?”
He sighed, rubbing his hands over his face, and then peering through his fingers at you for a second before dropping them again. “Thought I hurt you.”
You shook your head. “I’m okay. I would have said something.”
He nodded, relief starting to bring feeling back to his hands again. He stood and reached a hand down for you. When you took it, he closed his fingers around yours and pulled you to your feet.
“I know we don’t usually do this,” you said, rubbing at the parts of you that had been on the floor - the backs of your legs, your ass, “but could I take a super fast shower before I go?”
“Yeah,” he said, so quickly that the word almost trips on itself. “Of course.”
He led you into the bathroom, rummaged in the disorganized linen closet for a clean towel, pressed it into your hands.
“If you need one, too,” you said easily, as he reached around you to turn the water on so it could heat up, “I don’t mind if you join me.”
He paused. “You sure?”
You shrugged, then leaned over to put your hand under the spray, testing to see if it was still cold. “It’s your shower.”
Under the stream of warm water, you turned to face him, front to front, looking up at him with clear eyes. Something in your expression was so open, Vernon couldn’t help but feel both the desire to step into the space you seemed to be offering him as well as the desire to get far, far away from it.
He’d been so angry before you’d texted, furious enough that he’d bruised his knuckles punching the doorframe; now, as the chemicals in his body settled down, he felt those knuckles throbbing. He was disgusted that he’d lost his temper, guilty that he’d taken any of that anger out on you, who had nothing to do with it.
He was scared of the desire he felt to be closer to you, just for tonight. Scared that fucking you hadn’t been enough to soothe whatever it was that roiled inside him, like it usually was. Scared that he felt like he needed more than sex to heal this particular burn.
“I’m sorry,” he said, and part of him thought he was apologizing in advance, like he knew already he’d run scared at some point. “For being so...”
He didn’t know what word fit best.
“I told you,” you said, pressing a little closer, “I would have said if I had a problem.”
“Okay,” he said, frowning a little. “If you’re sure.”
Then he reached over and brushed a thumb along your cheekbone, chasing away a rivulet of shower-water. You closed your eyes for a second, and he swore he could feel you lean into the touch, just slightly.
He didn’t know how to explain how he felt. Kind of like he’d done a hot-coal-walk; the exhaustion that came with an adrenaline crash, the vulnerability that came after facing down something big, that need - the burn inside him needing cool water before it could quiet down.
With the shower off, the silence in the bathroom was loud.
“Do you…” Vernon started, then stopped. His heart hammered, the adrenaline returning. He covered the moment by toweling his hair roughly and pulling his hands through the strands so they’d lay right. “Do you want to stay for a little bit? I was gonna order delivery, maybe watch something before I finish my assignment.”
He’d expected you to think about it, to turn it over in your mind the way you turn his things over in your careful hands, the way you turn him ass over head with just a smirk. Instead, you nodded right away.
“Yeah,” you said, like it was no big deal. Like you did this all the time. Maybe you did, just not with him. “I was starving, actually. I could stay for an hour or two.”
On his couch, the leftovers of the food scattered on his coffee table, you reached for his hand, ran a thumb imperceptibly along his purpled knuckles. You didn’t ask what happened, just brought them to your lips and pressed the lightest kiss before putting them down again and reaching for your noodles, as if it hadn’t happened at all.
That was when Vernon saw the potential of it, an entire picture, framed and labeled: you could hurt him so badly if he let you, if he let it get that far. For whatever it was that burned inside him, you were the cool water… but you could absolutely be gasoline, instead.

If you closed your eyes, you could pretend the light that passed over your closed lids in a repetitive pattern was the sweep of a lighthouse beam. You could pretend that the rumbling bass of the music was the roar of the ocean. You could pretend that you weren’t here, in a shitty bar, but at the seaside. You could pretend that you weren’t alone. You could pretend that you weren’t you.
You drained your drink and caught the bartender’s eye, gesturing for another, sliding the sweating glass away from you once you knew a new one was coming.
“What are you drinking?”
The voice came from your right, and you lifted tired, disinterested eyes to find the source of it.
“G and T,” you answered, because it was one fewer syllable than saying gin and tonic and maybe that one syllable would do the dirty work for you and tell this guy that you didn’t want to talk to him.
“Nice,” he said, like you’d said something interesting, and you fought the urge to roll your eyes. You didn’t return the question, just slid your phone screen on and opened your messages.

drinks at my hyungs place. wbu
damn. guess i have to settle for one of these very mid prospects at the willow
damn thats a sad story. if only you had a better option
if only my better option werent busy at his hyung’s
no one said i had to stay here. ur at the willow?
yep
The guy to your right tried again. “The DJ tonight kind of sucks, huh?”
You looked back at your phone.
don’t leave
You smiled into your drink, a thrill dancing through your bloodstream. The lights and music didn’t seem as garish as they had ten minutes ago.
“My boyfriend’s on his way to pick me up,” you said flatly to the guy who kept trying to talk to you, “so you might want to find someone else to complain about the DJ to.”
The word tasted like lemonade on your tongue - acidic and sour, sweet and refreshing, taste buds blooming and shriveling in tandem. Even the knowledge that it was a flat-out lie didn’t stop your heart from beating faster.
You expected the guy to get up and leave, maybe throw you a dirty look on his way. Instead, he seemed to call your bluff, narrowing his eyes like he was trying to read you.
“I don’t think I’d let my girlfriend go out alone looking like this,” he said evenly, and you let out a derisive laugh.
“The fact that you just said the words let my girlfriend probably has a lot to do with why you’re here alone,” you countered, a flash of victory slicing up your spine when you saw his face flush.
Before he could retort, you hopped down from your barstool, pushing your way into the crowded dance floor. You didn’t even want to dance, you just wanted to get away. If Vernon wanted to find you, he could come find you. He’d told you not to leave, he hadn’t said make it easy for me.
He found you anyway; he made it look easy. He stepped around a group of guys talking in a circle and into your space, like he was following a path, like he knew there’d be room for him.
You were happy to see him. You were happy he came. You were happy to breathe him in, to feel the warmth of his body and smell his cologne and hear your name tumble from his mouth like a statement. You were too drunk to tuck these truths away into pockets and folds where they would be harder to find.
You stepped to him and wrapped your arms around his neck. If he was surprised, his body hid it well. His hands came to rest on your lower back, pressing you closer to him as you leaned up to find his mouth.
You kissed him slowly, at odds with the frantic bassline vibrating under your feet. You let him tip your head back, changing the angle, sweeping your mouth with his tongue until you both tasted lemonade.
“Happy to see me?” he asked, a hint of a smirk on his face, one eyebrow arched in question and one half of his mouth twitching into a smile.
You didn’t have it in you to lie, so instead you said, “Your place?”
He led you outside.
As luck would have it, the idiot from the bar stood beside the front door, a cigarette between two fingers. His expression darkened when he recognized you, then further when he saw your fingers linked with Vernon’s as you stepped into the quiet night.
“Your girlfriend’s a fucking bitch,” the guy bit out, dropping the cigarette butt and stepping on it.
Vernon’s eyebrows shot up.
Evenly, he said, “She’s not -”
She’s not my girlfriend. You felt your stomach swoop, and you felt yourself flinch.
“- a bitch. She’s just smarter than you.”
Vernon tugged on your hand, leading you across the street to his parked, waiting car.
You tried to bite back a smile, and he looked sideways at you, his own lips twitching.
“What?” he demanded.
“What?” you parroted.
He scowled at you, but his lips were just smiling. “What?” he asked again.
You laughed. “Let’s go,” you said. “The bitch wants to kiss you more.”
You expected his smile to sharpen. Instead, something in it seems to soften, changing from teasing to actual affection.
“Alright,” he said, turning to start the engine. “Can’t really say no to that, can I?”
“You could,” you mused, as he pulled away from the curb and the bar slid into nothingness behind you, “but I just don’t think you should.”

melting
srsly
no, seriously. i am laying on my living room floor like a starfish trying not to turn into liquid
come to hyungs
its too hot to move
i have an idea, come meet me at hyungs
You frowned at your phone. Of course your aircon died during the only heatwave you could remember in your entire adult life. Your whole body felt sticky; you were pretty sure you were stuck to your floor.
It was too hot to move.
what’s the idea??
you’ll see. i’ll order u a car. can you bring a couple towels?
“Vernon, no,” you laughed, your voice echoing.
He shushed you through laughter, both of you leaning on each other as you stood at the edge of the yard, the grass tickling the bottoms of your bare feet. Upstairs, at his friend’s place, you’d thrown back a few shots for courage before following Vernon out here, and you were feeling them, your head swimming like your body might soon be.
“It’s a circuit, see?” he tried to explain, pointing through the night, as if you could see through all the fences and over all the hedges. “Five yards, five pools, and then we end up right back here and we get in the car and go. Just follow me, don’t stop for anything.”
“Someone’s gonna call the cops,” you complained. “And these neighborhoods all have cameras.”
“That’s why we keep moving,” he said, his grin so excited and so un-Vernon that you almost couldn’t bear to say no to him. “No one’s gonna call the cops if we’re already gone - it’s not worth it. You ready?”
You hesitated. “You’re good to drive us out of here?” you checked.
He held up his hands as if to show innocence. “Only had a beer,” he promised. “But I’ve got something fun in the car for after, if you want.”
You felt your grin turn wolfish. “Okay. I’m right behind you.”
“Try and be quiet,” he warned, then took off running across the yard, cannonballing into the pool with a splash.
You tore off after him, leaping into the water and suppressing a shriek when the cold water hit you. You felt instantly sober, jittery with adrenaline, alive with laughter. You spluttered your way to the surface and pushed water away from your eyes, trying to find him through the shadows.
He was already climbing out the other side, water running down his back, the muscle shifting in the half-light as he hoisted himself back onto the pool’s deck. You hurried across the pool, climbing up beside him, giggling wildly.
“Shhh,” he warned, but he was giggling too as he led you carefully over the fence to the next yard.
As soon as you crept close enough to the pool to jump, a motion-activated light came on, flooding the yard white and causing you to cover your eyes.
“Quick!” Vernon told you, grabbing your arm and pulling you in with him as he jumped.
You let out a stream of bubbles and water rushed into your mouth. You felt your feet hit the bottom and you pushed off hard, surfacing quickly.
Again, you followed him across the pool, both of you laughing and whispering, “Hurry! Quick!” as you climbed out and headed around the house to the front yard.
“Okay, this is the hard part,” he told you, both of you shivering as the night air caught up to you. “We have to cross the street, hop the fence, and then the pool is around back.”
“I’m ready,” you promised, with a particularly hard shiver.
You sprinted across the street, both leaving wet footprints on the pavement. His hand felt warm in yours when he helped you over the fence, warm on your body when he held your waist as you climbed down.
“I can’t believe we’re doing this,” you muttered, but giggles still spilled out of you.
“More fun than melting, right?” he asked, and you thought that you’d seen him smile more tonight than in whole months of coming together at night.
You thought you might move mountains to see him smile like this again, gums showing, open and honest, happy.
Then you were underwater again, swimming hard to keep up, following Vernon through the night as he pushed his way through some hedges and held them apart for you.
You made it to the last house before someone caught you, slamming the back door open and shouting, “Hey!”
“Go, go, go!” Vernon cried, laughing with such abandon that it sounded like goose honks, pulling on your hand as you both stumbled, dripping, towards the car.
You’d set towels on the seats before starting, so you tumbled into the car and he peeled away, both of you laughing wildly as you left the neighborhood behind.
It was miles before you calmed down, gasping in breaths and trying to hold them before exploding into laughter again.
“I’d better not end up on the news,” you scolded. “I’m in my underwear.
He gave you a searing sideways look. “I noticed.”
You felt yourself warm again, despite being in soaking wet clothes.
“Where next?” you asked. “Home?”
He let out a breath that was almost a sigh. “I don’t really want to go home,” he admitted. Then, “I was having fun with you.”
You considered this. “Not to be a cliche, but… I know a place.”
The quarry was quiet, surrounded by only trees; without posted lights, everything seemed to be just varying shades of black - the black of the water just darker than the black of the stone ledges just darker than the walls of trees just darker than the sky sprinkled with stars above you.
“We have to be careful,” you warned him seriously. “If you slip and get hurt, it could be bad.”
He turned the flashlight on his phone on and set it next to the metal rungs that jutted out of the stone, a makeshift ladder for the swimmers who came here during the day, when swimming was allowed.
“It’s going to be way colder than the pools,” you added.
“You’re not selling this very well,” he pointed out.
“Don’t be a chicken,” you teased.
He eyed the water. “I’m having second thoughts.”
You nudged him in the ribs, which caused him to squirm away, hands batting at yours, a noise emitting from him that made you laugh out loud.
“Are you ticklish?” you demanded. “How did I not know?”
“Come on, are we jumping or what?” he asked, laughing, still trying to keep your sneaky hands away from his ribs.
“Yeah, that’s probably the only way to actually get in,” you admitted, still laughing a little. Your abs felt a little sore from how much you’d laughed tonight.
You stood on the edge of the stone, toes curling over the ledge, Vernon’s hand tight in yours. You stood on the edge, the ink-like water beneath you rippling slightly, marring the reflection of the constellations high above you. You stood on the edge of something, knowing full well you were afraid to swim.
He counted you down, and together, you jumped.
The water was freezing - it hurt, it stung, and you shrieked and laughed as you surfaced. A foot from you, Vernon was shouting.
“The towels!” you told him, already swimming towards the little dot of light that marked the ladder.
Shaking and shivering, you reached your towel, wrapping it around yourself. Behind you, Vernon jogged up, making noises like a disgruntled horse as he found his own towel.
“Oh my god,” he groused, grabbing for you. “I’m freezing, come here.”
He opened his arms, the towel behind him like a wingspan, and you stepped into the space, letting him wrap his arms and his towel around you. You stood shivering together, trying to let your body heat chase the cold away.
You wrapped your own arms around his middle, pressing yourself closer as your legs shook, shivers rolling up your spine in waves as your body fought the chill.
“C’mere,” he murmured above you, holding you a little more tightly, his own teeth chattering.
It was the first time, you realized as you turned your head to rest your cheek on his chest, that you’d held each other. It was the first time you’d been between his arms when you weren’t fucking, the first time he’d tightened his grip around you for a reason other than gratification.
You didn’t want it - didn’t want to know that it felt nice in his embrace, didn’t want to know that it fit right and felt safe. You didn’t want to know that you liked it, didn’t want to have to fight against the humiliation of wanting more.
As soon as the full-body tremors died away in the warm, sticky night, you stepped away, eager to put distance between you again.
Later, he looked over at you from the driver’s seat of the car, red-eyed, his smile stretching slow and thick like putty. When you straddled his lap, his hands searching out the bare skin of your back, you rocked against him and pressed open-mouthed kisses to the column of his pretty throat until you were pulling groans from him with each pass of your hips.
Forget, you thought, as you pulled your underwear to the side for him. Forget every single thing but this.
When you slipped an arm behind his neck and pressed your foreheads together as you lifted and dropped, you weren’t sure whose memory you were hoping to erase with this most recent pleasure-chase: yours, or his.

There was no map or calendar to this thing your brain did. It was summer, the sun shone, and yet the days bled together again, sunsets swirling down the shower drain.
The last time you’d gone radio silent, the last time your world had gone grey without warning, Vernon had answered in kind. His own silence had shouted for him until you’d tempted him back.
This time, he didn’t resort to silence in retaliation to yours. Instead, he kept trying, relentless. If you’d had more presence of mind, you might have wondered why.

don’t get mad but im coming over
“What the fuck, Vernon.”
“I said don’t get mad.”
“It doesn’t work like that. What are you doing here?”
He leveled you with a look. “You gonna let me in?”
“Literally, no.”
You hadn’t showered in days; your apartment was probably grosser than you were. The cat milled around your ankles, trying to weasel its way outside, and you hopped from foot to foot trying to nudge it back inside.
“Why not?” he asked.
You huffed, annoyed. But the annoyance was the first thing you’d felt all day, and something inside you clung to it, desperate for more of anything but the crawling nothing that’s kept you company for days.
“Because,” you grumbled. Because there’s nothing for you here. Because I have nothing I can give you. “I’m… just not in the mood.”
He stepped back from the door so you could see more of him. “I’m not asking you to be.”
“Then why are you here?” The words fell between you, heavy. If you hadn’t been so low, if you hadn’t gone all day without eating, if you hadn’t been on your thirtieth hour without sleeping, you would have known better. You would have realized that you were asking, if you aren’t here for sex, then what are you here for?
You wouldn’t have asked a question that you didn’t want the answer to.
He met your eyes. He seemed to teeter on the edge of telling you the truth, giving you the real answer. Then, he muttered, “Got bored.”
You knew it wasn’t the whole truth, and he knew you knew it, and yet neither of you were willing to look at it directly.
“I fail to see how that’s my problem,” you mumbled, avoiding his gaze.
He watched you for what felt like a long time, face serious, eyes glittering and attentive. Then, instead of answering, he repeated, “Are you gonna let me in?”
You frowned at him, but there was a little more pout to it than anger. “I’m all gross,” you said, instead of answering.
Something in him softened - it was visible on his face, in his shoulders, like he knew this was your way of saying yes. “So let’s shower,” he suggested quietly.
You felt trepidation, like part of you expected him to stay soft, to try to take care of you. To your relief, Vernon acted like everything was normal, scrunching his face at you when the water was too cold as he stepped in, washing his own body in silence and letting you do your thing.
He didn’t try to hold you, didn’t ask you when you’d eaten last, didn’t try to talk about it - didn’t try to fix it. He was just… there, and this - along with your first shower in days - was somehow revitalizing in itself.
You pulled on clean sweats, which was better than the day-four sweats he’d found you in. “The apartment’s kind of… sorry,” you mumbled, looking around the living room, feeling a bit of that familiar shame crawl up your neck as you noticed the evidence that you hadn’t been picking up, or running a vacuum.
Vernon flopped backwards on your sofa, unphased, one arm bent behind his head. “We’ve been doing this for almost a year,” he pointed out. “I know how it usually is.”
It isn’t usually like this. And neither are you.
You wondered when it happened - your ability to finish his half-thoughts, your ability to know what he meant when he only said a fraction of it.
You stood awkwardly beside the couch where he was lounging, and he looked up at you with a tiny, amused smile.
“What do you wanna do?”
What you really wanted to do was cocoon yourself in blankets again and put on repeats of a show you’d already seen. But now you had to look functional. You might be mad at him for showing up like this, now that you thought about it.
“I dunno,” you said, which was close to the truth.
“You wanna eat?”
“Honestly?” you asked, pursing your lips a little. “No.”
“Okay,” he said easily, and it struck you again how different this was than how Chan treated you when you were low. Chan would have already had the food delivered, and would be chasing you around the table with loaded chopsticks, demanding you take a bite.
“Can we just… watch something?” you asked, unsure.
Vernon wordlessly reached for your remote and held it up to you, nonplussed.
You wondered if it was an act, how easy this was, how unbothered he was, how he seemed to just understand what wouldn’t help.
You knew it wasn’t; you’d been around long enough to know that Vernon’s demons weren’t all that different from yours.
You settled somewhere between his body and the back of the couch, one leg bent over his legs, one of your arms over his stomach and his arm curled around your shoulders.
“This is weird,” you muttered into his chest, and his laugh rumbled under you.
“Why?” he asked, his smile big, like he thought you were particularly funny. “Not used to being big spoon?”
Not used to cuddling - with you.
“Yeah,” you said, because that was easier.
On your TV, a show ran through several episodes, the changing scenes splashing you and Vernon with changing colors, casting his face blue and then white and then black and then red and then blue again. Sometimes he’d watch, sometimes he’d scroll on his phone. You mostly felt his heart beating under your hand and let your mind whir.
At some point he started mindlessly (or not mindlessly, who could know) stroking your back, gentle touches brushing up and down, slow, slow, the way he always was. At some point you shivered, goosebumps rising along your arms, and snuggled closer to him. At some point he shifted you from slightly beside him to on top of him, a second hand slipping under your loose tshirt and joining the first in tracing stripes up and down your upper back.
You shifted against him, something coming to life with a shudder like the furnace in your parent’s basement on cold autumn nights. Heat worked its way slowly from your core to your stomach, down your legs.
He kept his eyes on the tv, innocent, but you could hear his heartbeat. It couldn’t lie and pretend.
You shifted again, squirming until you’d worked his t-shirt up just enough that you could touch skin, too. You trailed your own fingers over the inch of exposed stomach you’d found, and delighted in the way you could feel him start to harden beneath you.
Then, you delighted in your delight. It was the first good thing you’d been able to feel in almost a week.
You said his name, and he finally looked down at you, eyes nearly black in the unlit room.
“What is it?” he asked, and his voice was suddenly so low it sent shivers tumbling down each vertebrae and tripping over to your limbs. “Want me to make you feel good?”
No, you wanted to say as you answered his question by pulling the hem of his t-shirt higher, encouraging him to lift up so you could pull it off. No, just want you to make me feel.
Everywhere Vernon looked, all he saw was circles. Circle of red in his bowl when he inhaled. Circle of condensation on the table when he lifted his beer. Circle of light reflecting from his phone case, laying in the setting sunlight, to the ceiling. Above him, the ceiling fan circled lazily, nowhere to be.
And you - you and him. That was a circle, too. A cycle, at least, which was close enough in his opinion. Text, hook up, skitter back to your respective places, wait out the next weekend. It was as rhythmic and routine as waves breaking and then getting pulled back out only to come shatter on sand again. It was out of his control, up to forces far greater than he was.
Vernon’s friends had texted to hang out and he’d declined. He told them he was seeing his parents, but really, he just wanted to be alone. He wanted to watch the ceiling fan circle, he wanted to let his brain go staticky quiet, he wanted to burrow deep into things that made him feel less.
But he still, somehow, wanted to see you. He wanted to be alone, and being with you didn’t feel like not getting that.
It was a little scary, he thought, that you were the exception. That he could be with you without feeling the uncomfortable pressure of being with others, of having to be on, of having to fake cheerfulness and keep up with chatter that only exhausted him.
Vernon wasn’t a kid. He knew what it meant.
whats up
honestly not a lot. want me to come over?
Yeah, he did. He did, even if you weren’t going to hook up. He did, even if you were just going to lay on opposite sides of the couch and scroll on your phones. He did, and he hoped he’d end up with his arms around you, and he hoped he’d make you laugh at least once, and he hoped you’d stay and just be there with him after.
When you came over, he asked you how you felt about it - about him, about you and him. He asked by laying you on your back in his bed, by brushing fingertips along your face. He asked you by sliding your leggings away gently, pressing his mouth to each inch of your inseam as it became exposed to his dimly lit room. He asked you by kissing you through the lace you wore for him, then kissing the same spot once that lace was on his floor.
He asked you when he crawled up your body until his tip teased at your entrance and you whined, shifting to try to take him. And - when he took it slow this time, teeth scraping at your neck and then tongue hurrying to soothe the sting, his arms bracketing your body like he was sheltering you from an incoming storm.
(Maybe, he considered, he was.)
(Maybe, he considered, he was worthless in the face of this storm’s wrath.)
(Maybe, he considered, he was the fucking storm in the first place.)
And you heard his question loud and clear. You pulled on your leggings as soon as you were cleaned up, popping your hood up over your head as you searched for your phone. You kept your eyes on your screen as you waited for a car to come, murmured, “Later,” on your way out the door.
Vernon’s apartment rang with quiet. He was alone, he’d gotten what he’d wanted.
He’d also, it seemed, gotten his answer.

You're the first person I've come across who opened the for to these kinds of conversations, so might I propose that liquid energon is considered only for military, medical, or neonatal purposes on the colonies.
As you and many, many others have theorized, before the Quintassons and before the Thirteen began to die off, Cyberton most likely had an incredible complex biosphere that would make even our most diverse and most extreme seem bland. There would've been several generations who would've learned how to cultivate and forage and hunt on the surface and in the highest caverns and tunnels.
So assuming the Titans who became colonies took "pieces" of Cyberton when they left, they likely ended up preserving whole swathes of nature without actually intending to. Modern day Velocitrons and Camiens would thrive off "leave no footstep" culture as they hunt and move.
How horrific would the state of Cybertronians be to the colony denizens? Mechs who claim civility and order yet seem to lack any and all ability to actually feed themselves. What they will eat, they waste massive quantities, and they seem to be deeply suspicious of someone taking or sabotaging what little they can keep.
I think this could go a lotta ways.
Ohhh, I love worldbuilding like this. It just makes more sense to really delve into the differences between Cybertron and the Lost Colonies, besides "they got girls and no war lol."
Each of the Titan cities has a unique culture and cast, so it's a shame that it all got dropped or it didn't really tie neatly as it could had, so-
I'm going to make it make sense, even if I need to get the blender on canon lore to make a soup!
I did talk about some cultural differences and clashes between the Lost Colonies either through posts ('Caminus' and 'Titans' tags) or in the tags, and I had talked about how liquid Energon may have been playing a role of starvation rations. (Ehhh in TFP since they seem to be on a pure liquid diet, but it can be included in IDW/MTMTE).
But yeah, I can definitely see liquid Energon being used for medical, military, and neonatal usage. It would be interesting to explore differences and similarities in processing, storage, supplements, approach in distribution, and any associated folklore about it (i.e., Eukarians' farm-to-table fuel as it suits their beast-modes versus Velocitron and its pride over solar-derived Energon allowing them to delve into racing and research versus Caminus' recycling culture to mimick the Forge).
Funnily enough, the ones that develop the "Leave No Footsteps" as a whole would be the Eukarians as Chela left the planet's indigenous fauna relatively intact for beast-modes to be truly free. The tribes of Eukaris seem to mimic very early forms of civilizations along with hunter-gatherers. They're not ashamed to utilize the full scope of their alt-enhanced perception. Similar to how they adapted to their new home, the indigenous fauna adapted as well. Frightenly well to other Cybertronian perspectives; the Eukarians as a whole would be more familiar with different kinds of relationships with plants and animals, both the wild creatures and domesticated stocks. It would be interesting if the tribes managed to develop unique agricultural/livestock methods from each other (i.e., Fur Walkers are focused on ranching and semi-nodamic for their stocks versus Wave Walkers' aquaculture and mutual relationships with aquatic hunters or consumers to hunt and forage). Personally, I think the Eukarians would be the closest to understanding Earth's chaotic biomes and fauna. (Most definitely tensions with Cybertron via its Functionist society that Chela took his people to escape and the policies of organophobia, terra-forming, and stigma/discrimination against beast-modes and the nature.)
Velocitron came from scientists searching for fuel alternatives. Like, what if they tapped into the powerful solar rays that plagued the half the planet? In some ways, then modern Velocitron is a victim of its own success as the strong fuel basically led to too much excess energy and hyperfocus to point of ignoring all else, combined with their search for more fuel efficiency and race against the scorching suns, it's no surprise why racing became so dominant to the point Navitas was severely neglected. A meritocracy drenched heavy elitism as they're a highly educated group with a deep disdain for any frames deemed "too slow" or "too clunky."" They managed to figure out their own fuel issues. How the hell Cybertron with all of its resources to throw into their civil war couldn't? (On a side note, it would be absolutely hilarious and in-character if they snubbed Optimus and Megatron since they're not racers and weren't formally educated by Velocitron standards.)
Camiens, unlike many of the other Cybertronians, would actually forge mutual and positive ties with their organic neighbors via mercenary, exploration, and trade as Caminus deeply values social ties and community to the point that Cybertronians not raised in their city-state can be uncomfortable on how 'open' Camiens intermingle with one another as field byplay is a very used communication method. Caminus is situated in a planetary system that has immense raw resources but lacks the infrastructure that would have enticed the Galactic Alliance to add the space, and many are wary of the Quintesson's empire as they typically strip everything from planets via legal contracts or economic force. The work provided by offworlders allows the city-state to supplement their diet. They're a passionate and creative people, and it's seen on their takes on stretching out food as they blend whatever available to consume. So Depression meals, rural cooking, and recipes that channels 'End of Month' Food Challenge. (Most definitely have tensions with Cybertron as Camiens are appalled how distant and cold each mecha carries themselves in a strange self-imposed isolation as well as the sheer waste of fuel that happens, organophobia, and Functionist teachings as Camiens typically collect multiple skills and careers since everyone works.)

CW: mention of eating disorders and poor body image...
Historically, I have had a complex relationship with working out. Body image issues, eating disorder, pressure to perform womanhood correctly blah blah. It was a miserable struggle which i forced myself to participate in for a long time.
I'm proud to say that I'm forging a happier relationship with movement and my body. That means yoga, walking, and biking are the best ways for me to exercise atm. Strenuous workouts & very strict diet control aren't for me.
That's tough for me to accept, and I reflexively avoid very "fit" people because I'm paranoid about being seen as inferior. I admire someone's physique and then balk at my admiration because it feels like I shouldn't find them attractive when they are dounf "better" with their body than I am.
I realize this is mostly projection and I try not to let it color my interactions with people. Some very loud online leftists insist that it's a political duty to get swole ("a fascist worked out today. Did you?"). This might be motivating for some, but it genuinely makes me feel alienated and inferior. Any words from the fit n buff side of the equation? Does maintaining your physique affect how you see other people at all, or does it stay purely personal?
Thanks for your time. Your arms are genuinely so great.
i spent a while thinking about how to answer this to my own satisfaction before i realized that it's a waste of my time to try and address such a winding confessional delivered to me anonymously in a way that doesn't leave me feeling like i've missed something in my response. thus my answer is brief, though it bifurcates.
if you're one of the girlies, watch this:
i don't know what you think of me, anon, but since you're describing the "fit n buff" side of the equation as opposite to you, you should know i don't do dieting. i'm militantly and violently anti-diet. and, again, if you're one of the girls, i can give you no better advice concerning "fitness" than miss kay above. if you want to talk more about it, dm me. i don't give a shit if anyone works out. do your best to eat enough. that's all.
if you're tme: there is so much thinly veiled self-hating body fascism in this and it seems like you have some sense of it. content warnings aside it is an embarrassment to drop that in a trans girl's asks. i am not your oracle.

Modern dolores haze headcanons:
❣️She'd love stanley cups.
❣️Starbucks cake pops would be her favorite go -to treats, anything starbucks adjacent would be a desired staple of her regimen.
❣️As a matter of fact she'd love ALL the fancy snacks that trend on tiktok as well, mango icecream, dubai chocolate etc etc .she'd often bug her mom about being allowed to eat junk food, much to charlotte's chagrin because she's an almond beige mom and a frequent patron of wholefoods and is exceedingly braggadocious about her daughter's healthy and organic diet on the moms' facebook group she's a part of.
❣️Her vocabulary would very much frequently favor tiktok "brainrot".(skibidi, rizz, ohio, lil bro, lock in etc etc) and she'd drive her mother to lunacy with her vehement usage of gen alpha vernacular.(she's secretly quite knowledgable and articulate and might occasionally drop some surprisingly complex words in the midst of her generically juvenile speech)
❣️She'd totally be crazy about sabrina carpenter and try to imitate her(she'd do it clumsily and haphazardly ,looking like an absolute goofy goober while doing so)
❣️she'd also be very fond of chappell roan
❣️She'd enjoy roblox and dress to impress , FNAF and overwatch too.
❣️she once got grounded because she knocked over charlotte's live laugh love decorative picture frame while doing somersaults
Thank you for coming to my ted talk ❤️❤️❤️
You know what. I was going to start arguing some of these because they made me cringe and go noooo but that is once again just falling into Humbert's trap. Because you're absolutely right. She's a normal, silly, childish pre-teen swept up in all her generations trends and stupidities (affectionate). She's not special or mysterious or sophisticated. She is cringe and she is free.
#dolores haze#lolita novel#ask#anon#i was gonna add to this but i fear idk what The Kids are doing these days well enough

new sona/self insert/alien oc just dropped!!
more info on this gleep glorp, as well as some close-ups, under the cut !!
its name is oisín, roughly pronounced "oh-sheen" or "uh-sheen" !!
it uses it/its pronouns exclusively.
some cool information:
oisín has a completely expressionless face !! due to the keratin plates and scales on either side, its face can’t squish or stretch well at all. it didn't evolve for voiced speech— rather, its species communicates through a mix of radio waves, complex electro-field manipulation, and body language. your standard synesthesia beacon or translator, if up to date, should be able to translate this a written/spoken language.
the only reason it opens its mouth, then, is to eat. it has a mouth similar to a crab’s or a spider’s. it has an omnivorous diet, but oisín tends to not eat as much as it should, usually due to forgetfulness or lack of appetite. it used to envy the experience of eating as a social activity, but people often expressed disgust and distaste at the sight of its mouth open, so now, it’ll save snacks for when it’s alone.
the keratin plates and scales on either side of its face are one of its species’ many mating evolutions— the more colorful and bright your plates and scales, the more attractive you are. that's also why oisín has lots of long, thick hair, despite the sizeable bald spot on the back for its fourth eye. hair is a big factor for attractiveness, as well.
its tail evolved for acute control of balance, but oisín was born with two, a very rare presentation of long-past genes within its species. the mutation makes it very good at dusting, but worsens its general dyspraxia. the rest of its brain wasn’t designed to control two tails.
oisín’s many eyes serve many different purposes. the eye on the back of its head is evolved for the conditions of its home planet— sensing UV rays allows it to see any possible predators lurking and stalking from behind. the eye on its face, on the top left, is able to perceive x-rays. the eye beneath that can perceive microwave light. the large eye on the right of its face can see the basic visible light spectrum similar to humans.
oisín never wears pants. ever. it refuses to. it will not elaborate on why. however, it will switch up its shirt often— only to shirts with sleeves that will swamp and cover its hands/forearms. that's because another evolution of its species for survival is spine-covered hands and wrists. oisín can operate its hands with deft and precise control, but it has little to no control of how and when its spines will pop out of its knuckles, wrist, and forearm. if those spines pierce anything fleshy, they will hook in with barbs, and they'll put out a large dose of an EXTREMELY potent neurotoxin comparable to a stonefish from earth. oisín keeps its hands hidden away and covered for that very reason— it's far too easy to harm someone.
oisín’s antennae are arguably one of the most important organs it has. they're responsible for 2/3s of its communication. they’re bioluminescent, and the color that they glow changes rapidly based on oisín’s emotions and reactions. however, oisín can also wiggle them and make them dance. it looks very silly.
some very important other character facts:
it gets very jealous when other creatures have a fluffier tail than its own
it’s asexual demiromantic !!
it’s somewhat sheltered, having lived most of its life on its home planet, and its species is highly isolationist and asocial by nature
its favorite thing about the universe at large is learning all of the things it never got to back home and seeing the beauty it missed out on
it likes to use its unique language/communication and the way that it registers with a synesthesia beacon or translator to its advantage, and will speak with both texting slang and emojis to somewhat overcome the dead/expressionless aspect of its face that makes it hard to connect with people
it travels around in a ship that looks like a classic alien disc ufo
it’s on a quest to watch all of the cartoons that it can get its hands on. it’s enraged that it never got to know about the magic of animation and art
ANDDDDDD now onto the self-insert/lore aspect of oisín !! it functions as an HSR self-insert, and so the lore is relatively linked to that. however, you can easily take its lore from above and run with it without linking it to HSR. below is the information and story of its past and how it comes to be who it is in the universe of HSR.
-
it’s an abnormally social specimen from an extremely isolationist species, the gleep-glorps. it left its home planet, 6829-J-20, because it felt there was nothing left for it there. it never fit in with its people, always feeling balefully lonely and unable to connect with anyone. it was a nobody there anyway—with its dull scales and keratin faceplates, it was one of the ugliest gleepies on the planet.
in a moment of manic hope and impulse after being kicked out of its home, it stole a ship from a nearby space-port and flew as far away from 6829-J-20 as it could possibly get.
on this trip, it used up all of its fuel and ended up stranded somewhere in deep space. luckily, someone responded to its distress call and towed its ship to safety— a knight of beauty named ‘argenti’. argenti told oisín about his aeon, idrila the beauty, and about the knights of beauty.
most shocking of all, argenti told oisín that it was beautiful. the knight explained that in the eyes of idrila, there is beauty in everything, down to the most mundane. you just have to be willing to see it. that struck a cord in oisín, and it decided to join the knights of beauty.
or, well, apply. it’s still waiting to see if it can get recognition from the knights’ organization and join for real.
AAAANDDD that’s all i’ll share for today. if you’ve actually read this far, tysm !!!!! i hope u like oisín !!! :D i’ll probably post it more later, with more expansion on the self-insert aspect of its character, but some about it in general as well.
#oc#oc artwork#original character#sona#sona art#my sona#alien#alien oc#self insert#gleep glorp#is literally what i called its species lmao#and i will not change it i find it very very silly#oisín#knight of beauty#tag for this goob will be#knight of beauty oisín#other tags related to it will be created because i do intend to do selfshipping with it#but for now this will do#huzzah

I’ve not been posting about various stuff I’ve been doing over the last few weeks for various reasons - partially sheer exhaustion, partially a sort of weird holdover of “not wanting to go on about things because that’s performative” thing, partially that, tbh, much of the time when I’m posting I’m so *tired* that dragging complicated things about my own life out is so emotionally taxing and difficult that posting about them feels like a spoon hit I don’t have the capacity available to absorb.
But that’s probably not helpful. So here we are. Post One is going to be about the rehab programme because that’s been one of the main focuses of my time and energy since November.
I’m in the last week of my initial free 12-week chronic joint pain rehab programme at Nuffield Health, which has meant free membership there with specific classes which include exercise and also a whole bunch of advice on things that are supposed to affect pain. I’ve found it - complex but overall positive?
- It’s a rolling programme so when I first joined I was with a whole bunch of older women near the end of their programmes. That was really difficult for gender reasons, feeling maybe this wasn’t aimed at me at all etc etc. It became much more positive as they rolled off and a much more diverse group of folk in gender and age rolled on with me, and I’m honestly going to miss my peers in this. I’m still the youngest in the group, and I’ve not talked about gender in it because honestly that’s spoon-heavy, but it’s been a lot less difficult genderfeels-wise than I initially feared. I have been wearing my pronoun badges at least. I’d love some more Pride and non-binary-specific gym gear - please feel free to link any you know out there from ethical companies; I suspect a lot of it may be beyond my price range, but saving up exists.
- My initial health check showed I had put on a *lot* more weight than I thought, so I’ve been doing my best to utterly revamp my diet and how much sugar I was eating in particular as a maladaptive way to manage fatigue. My next health check is on Thursday after my last class and I’m trying *really* hard not to hope that I’ve lost tons of the weight because a) weight is not an indicator of health or worth b) I’ve been doing a LOT of weights work over that time and it’s entirely possible I’ve acquired a lot more muscle. This would be a very good thing. Trying to manage all of this and getting to a better way of eating with the old ED demon on my shoulder has been *complex* AF tbh. I do actually really need to thank person-centred therapy, many years in the disabled community in general, and FatDoctor and other people in the fat-positive community, esp the trans part, for this not fucking up my head more than it has. I should probably drop my old therapist a personal email to thank her for the help she was to me on this - is that a weird thing for an ex-patient to do? Does that cross boundaries?
- The “general advice on things that are supposed to reduce pain” bit was a barrier for me because it brings up so much trauma about pain clinics and other medical BS about pain over the last decade plus. The fact that it’s ten minutes before exercise has helped; not enough time to build up anger and then physical activity to release it. It’s also helped that we’ve had a lot of group discussions and almost everyone there is chronically ill or chronically injured so it’s been sharing experiences of the genuine systemic life problems that come with that and a *lot* of discussions about how unhelpful the wider medical system has been. Patient solidarity is helpful. Who’d have thunk it? 😜
- I’ve had to *keep* fighting my own “ADHD extremes” personality tendencies all the way through this, as I have through much of the last decade plus. I am *bad* at not throwing myself at things I’m trying to really engage with, y’all. I am *bad* at sensible moderation. It’s not how my brain works at *all*. But I’ve only had one sublaxion and one POTS collapse in the entire programme, and I am fucking proud of myself for that.
- That notwithstanding, this has been A Lot, esp as one of the classes is on a Thursday, the day I see my brother. I don’t talk about him on social media a lot because he is nonspeaking and can’t consent to me sharing stuff about him, but getting weekly contact with him again has been incredibly important to me, and to him, from what he has communicated to me. It’s also high-energy and sometimes exhausting, when he is having a particularly high-energy day, or a tough day, and means cleaning up afterwards. Given how often much less high-energy social contact just kicks the shit out of me, I’m really proud that I’ve missed very few days with him, but it has been *exhausting*. I have spent every Wednesday and most weekends since starting the programme entirely in bed, just crawling to the bathroom, and even with that I am *still* just bone-deep exhausted right now, though I think some of that is still fallout from the *great* weekend away we went to for a friend’s 50th a fortnight ago, of which I *still* spent much too much time in bed.
- I think that, no matter how hard I tried not to, I let myself somewhat entertain the idea that this programme might utterly transform my health if I put enough work into it. Because no matter how hard I try not to, it’s *difficult* not to get sucked into the prevailing medical orthodoxy about fatigue disorders that a big part of the fatigue is “deconditioning” and fixing that will fix the fatigue. Instead, I’m doing a thing that is genuinely helping my mobility but any effect on fatigue levels is very much on the “increasing” scale than otherwise, despite the level of pacing involved (which is the only thing that lets me do anything at all). So after the classes end I am going to be in the space where I need to keep on doing this to keep the mobility improvements and the long-term effects on my health (particularly re reducing my huge osteoporosis risk) and that is going to be *tough*. Some of it will help, esp re the flexibility to pace around other things I’m doing, but making sure I *keep* doing this when it’s going to mean keeping on having to ask my dad for lifts to the gym and the level of exhaustion involved is going to be *tough*. Going to do my best to keep up with other group people there in the hope that will help.
- Doing this at a time when, frankly, Labour is increasing attacks on disability support is extra-scary. I am *really* afraid any improvements in mobility etc will be read as “well you’re cured then” as opposed to “you’re improving prospects for your longer term health and increasing your capacities in certain ways but the work it takes to do and maintain that has at best huge knock-on effects on the energy, including the cognitive energy, available to do anything else with”. The proposed cuts to Access To Work mean any work I can ever get is even more going to have to be remote, which is scary too. The way disability is continually viewed in such zero-sum, capitalist-centered ways continues to just sap my energy across the board, and I’ve got so little to start with.
#disability#chronic illness#disableism#chronic pain#chronic fatigue#exercising while disabled#exercising while chronically ill#post exertional malaise#exercise#adhd#pots syndrome#heds#autistic adult#pain management#disability rehab#disordered eating mention#weight loss mention#uk politics#fuck keir starmer#fuck rachel reeves#osteoporosis#gender#nonbinary

Got inspired by a post I saw this morning so here's literally 2 entire pages of headcanons comparing Infected and Kasper. Fair warning: It dips into talk of symptoms I imagine he'd have and the whole Poptart situation.
[A lot of which assume he'd have like. Actual biological needs instead of being Video Game-y, which seems to be sort of a grey area in-game anyway...]
Kasper was already kind of stupid so honestly not much is different on that front. Average 2010s gamer dudebro sort of deal. Although Infected has a bit more 'what kind of animal is the pink panther?' in him than Kasper.
Infected has next to no impulse control, leading to him doing things he shouldn't and speaking without thinking pretty much constantly.
Infected has balance issues that Kasper didn’t due to inner ear inflammation from the infection. He can’t really do anything on a skateboard anymore besides just stand there or go in a straight line. He can and will find a way to trip on flat ground.
He's convinced he still rules at it, though.
The inflammation has also made his hearing kind of shit. (The only person he can hear with perfect clarity is Folly, as she probably speaks directly into people’s minds or something lol.)
Infected loves soda and drinks basically only that. Boy who was born with kidney stones <3
The neurotoxin in his favorite soda was a deeply unreasonable amount of aspartame (and other chemicals. For fun! <3). Not being able to drink it anymore has somewhat improved his balance issues and memory, but he still misses how it tasted (it probably tasted like what you'd get if you boiled down an entire 2 liter of diet coke until it's barely a liquid then filled an 8 ounce soda can with that. Dude’s tastebuds and liver are Fucked).
Kasper had a fairly similar way of talking to Infected, minus the 1337. ("Sweet parteh trickz dud!11")
Infected is in constant pain. Headaches, body aches, sore throat, can't breathe well, burning skin, heavy eyes, nausea that won't go away, sniffles, random nerve pain, probably other shit. He barely notices it anymore unless someone asks how he's feeling. He doesn't have much energy to spare. He would come across as significantly more hyper/manic than how Kasper used to be if not for this.
He doesn't put any of the energy he has left towards cleaning. Kasper could deal with a little mess, but still picked stuff up when it got ugly. Lampert was also willing to help when he visited. Now Infected is too tired and unfocused to pick anything up most of the time, and Lampert refuses to set foot in the apartment complex until Kasper is better. Infected has started throwing garbage off the balcony when it gets in the way too much. It's kinda fun!
Infected occasionally dissociates. Finds later that he's already talked to someone about something and just repeated himself, bought something already and now he has two, spent hours on his computer without remembering a single thing he looked at, or already met someone he thought he hadn't seen before.
It has actually been explained to Infected before that Kasper is his name. This just started an argument and the topic was dropped forever from that point forward.
Infected is deeply stressed out by seeing his own face for reasons he can't communicate, so he avoids looking at it as much as possible. He used to have a mirror in his apartment but he threw it off the balcony in a fit of rage one night, then covered the blank space where it used to be with a poster. Same thing with ripping Kasper’s face off of the picture on his desk. Any photos of him that are on his PC have either been sent to the recycle bin or cropped so that his face isn’t in them. He's completely fine looking at drawings of himself though. That's definitely him.
When left to his own devices, Infected's diet is… Inconsistent. He will forget to eat for long periods of time then binge when the hunger pangs finally get so annoying that he can't ignore them anymore. He's at least sort of hydrated because there's usually a six pack of soda on his desk or by the couch, but unless someone on the elevator is feeling generous he doesn't remember on his own very often.
Kasper was very comfortable being physically affectionate with people and would be happy to cuddle or lay on a friend's lap if they were cool with that. Infected is even more touchy and would be clingy if he had chances to be, but due to his extremely obvious contagious disease nobody lets him get close. He is incredibly touch-starved and would probably get emotional if someone hugged him or even just sympathetically rubbed his back now.
Kasper was alright at resisting the urge, but Infected has picked at every scab he's ever gotten, and he ends up with a Lot. He will pick at them until the damage is worse than the initial injury unless someone stops him/tells him to put a bandage over it.
Kasper would bite his nails to keep them short and pick his nose sometimes but Infected's nails are completely trashed. Some of them have scabbed over or still-bleeding cuticles and hangnails because he chews and picks at those too.
All of the contact with his spit has caused his fingernail textures to semi-permanently unload. You'd think they were painted if you didn't know why they looked like that.
Nosebleeds from his nasal cavity getting torn up from all the fussing are not unheard of and yet he's gonna keep doing it.
Constantly drooling when he's not talking. Some of it is post-nasal drip. Sometimes he remembers to wipe it off on his arm, but most of the time it just ends up on the floor/running down his face and soaking into the neckline of his shirt. Or sprayed all over the walls/someone's face when he sneezes.
Kasper used to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in his pocket to help Lampert feel more comfortable. He stopped doing that forever ago after he got sick. (You know how rabies does a bunch of shit to animals to make them better disease vectors, including to their brains? Yeah, something like that).
On some level he knows he's sick. Would be more stressed out about it but the infection has repressed his ability to care (and the part of him that’s still aware of it is probably also heavily in denial). This has affected other aspects of his emotional range, causing it to come across as unusually flat, especially to those who knew Kasper.
Infected is scared that if he’s taken to a doctor’s office they’ll hurt him, so on top of genuinely not being able to recognize that he's sick he will deny all accusations regardless out of this fear. He’s technically not wrong, since trying to purge the disease to save Kasper would be extremely painful for him, but this thought mostly comes from his illness trying to preserve itself.
The last time someone tried to lead Infected to DrRETRO’s office for an intensive care stay he panicked upon realizing what was going on and fought back until they let him leave (fucked them up pretty badly), so now everyone keeps their distance and kinda uselessly tries to convince him to go voluntarily with their words.
Infected is incapable of maintaining strong negative emotions if pushed into being that upset. He'll be mad or sad for maybe a minute and then something else will get his attention or he’ll get too tired to think and he'll forget whatever was bugging him.
Every so often he will lose hope about finding Poptart and then abruptly ‘reset’ a minute or two into sobbing his eyes out, completely confident that any day now the little guy will come back safe and sound.
Despite this it is still really easy to get him Gamer Raging. Way easier than it ever was with Kasper, who was a pretty good sport in most cases.
Infected's particular brand of Gamer Rage is Heckling people until they shut up/go away’, or until it's out of his system. This is the most typical way he processes anger. The impulse control is Seriously out the window when he gets like this.
Kasper knew a lot of stuff about the games he liked offhandedly (mostly competitive co-op FPS games like counterstrike, tf2, l4d2, etc) and could tell you so much esoteric bullshit about them, but if you tried to ask Infected he would get too excited trying to think of something he could share that would be really cool and then not actually be able to remember anything.
The only context in which Infected's reaction time isn't ass is video games. Something about muscle memory. In any other situations he is usually pretty slow to react. This does not mean he's slow to do things, though. When he's acting on a dumbass impulse thought he's probably halfway done doing it before anyone can stop him.
It is possible to get Infected to acknowledge that his situation is Fucked for a moment or two if you press him on the most obvious evidence that he's sick (his headaches, the fact his allergies haven't cleared up in years, the snot on his face, etc), and if you pressed hard enough you'd start to see him get scared. He knows you're right, but there's nothing he can do about it. And then the recognition would be gone again as soon as you stopped talking.
This doesn't work when you bring up his name (Who's Kasper? Never met the guy.) or objects in his surroundings, only symptoms of illness directly observable on/in his body.

juice induced hill depression. Back on meds again and hopefully going to get in touch with a new psych who can prescribe me something else. Have been very tired and unjoyful the past week but better now and playing modded Skyrim, initially just to make my oc in it but then just kept slamming more thangs in there. Mod that puts bunny rabbits everywhere. Also is there a mod that adds cute animal ears/suits as wearables or one that even makes the girl armor less sucks. Like im either fully leaning into the immersion breaking for self indulgence sake or im getting rid of the annoying shit.
visiting mom in Vegas earlier this month was nice except for the part where I hate Vegas. I know im not great with travel and settling into places can be a tough one for my brain but also my god it’s just evil there. Brilliantly so but still evil. I would have loved to enjoy the scenery surrounding the place more as deserts are just very beautiful and fascinating places but at no point during the day was the temperature less than a full hundred degrees Fahrenheit. It barely dropped during the night either. Between that and varying physical ailments (Oof Ouch My Digestive Sensitivities Lol) (Oof Ouch My Tendons Lol) (Oof Ouch The Agony Caused By Using Stairs Lol) it was the perfect conditions to be a miserable pile when I wanted to be with my family. As sad I was to part ways again I was not sorry to leave that place. Gained a new appreciation for changing up what I eat randomly to keep my body on its toes. At one point mom brought us to a pub and her husband asked for Diet Pepsi while I asked for regular Pepsi. Visually there’s no difference so we got handed the others pepsi and swapped. And then later after he refilled his Diet Pepsi another waiter came up and wordlessly refilled mine as well. With Diet Pepsi. Wasn’t even asked. Fucking stunned. Also went to a near dead mall that was nice anyway
stuck on brain zaps as a symptom of Specifically antidepressants withdrawal. There’s some things describing them as “mini seizures” in function. To me it’s like the body noticing the usual isn’t happening for some reason so it tries to jumpstart the brain into working good like before. universities I can go to with my theories. Back in and at it this week, hopefully to remain consistent for longer than before which will also likely help with the depression and anxiety. More people should just put stuff in their blood if they can
it can be embarrassing to express your misery more clearly to someone, specifying the fact fact thoughts running through your head. But then again it’s only embarrassing because your mind convinced you so, and will convince you that holding it in is also cruel and selfish. Finding it funny that animals probably don’t have as complex spirals and bouts of depression because they dont have a language to articulate to themselves in their own heads that something is awful in a very specific and contradicting way. Or actually no because there is still pattern recognition but that’s more a paranoia learned thing. Is there an animal that can randomly, for seemingly no reason evident to anyone including itself, experience crushing dread and self doubt. Is there an animal that feels shame besides man
had a tilt table test that was embarrassing too but for much more clear concrete reasons. Somehow didn’t know about that second part, and did complain through most of the first part because Oof Ouch Everything Hurts Lol. REALLY did not know the iv thing and had to once again sadly state that no, It has to go in the hand . I will say the experience was funny in the second part from the other ways because my first reaction was literally just “Uh Oh.” The moment I realized it was going to get worse. all I know is my blood pressure stayed consistent throughout, I don’t know what else im gonna hear about it. Hopefully something helpful.
is setting up an ABLE account difficult? Can anybody do it? It’s an issue dealt with by a lot of people but I should at least try to find a way to save money from benefits for the future or in case some stupid medical shit happens that the health won’t cover. I just looked up and saw Vinny sleeping while propping lubics head up with his foot. Hoping I can enjoy things normally again shortly,
8/26/2024, Still better than july

VIVI GLOW UP GUIDE: MASTERING THE BASICS

You want to see the biggest improvement in your life? Master. The. Basics.
If you don’t know where to exactly start on your glow up journey, this is part one. Get your sleep, nutrition and movement to peak performance. Don’t know where to start? I got you, as always 💕
Sleep ୨୧˚·
1. Try to get on a consistent sleep schedule, use a REM calculator to find the best time for you to go to bed based on the time you wake up. Using a REM calculator will help you wake up feeling refreshed instead of groggy, which is usually caused by waking up mid REM cycle.
2. Limit screen time and drink water a little bit before bed so you aren’t waking up to use the bathroom.
3. Silk are Satin Pillowcases which you can get at dollar tree even, this will protect your skin and hair.
4. Cut all caffeine 6 hours before bed.
5. Have a relaxing routine and chill your room, finding your favorite temperature. The human body needs to drop usually two degrees before falling asleep comfortably.
Nutrition ୨୧ ˚·
1. If possible get in contact with a nutritionist or dietician - I am a personal trainer and a nutritionist and I love to help for free if you can’t get one - if you need any help ask my page, comment or dm me!
2. Unlearn any misinformation, from Fad diets or paid off Nutritionists / Dietitians. Never listen to doctors on nutrition they have very little training, and be careful of even some specialists as we are seeing a rise in them taking payment from industries such as Coca Cola!
3. Eat the rainbow. You should be having a variety of foods, from legumes, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies. Try switching up the fruit you get every week to start out!
4. Get your protein in. I really like plant based proteins, such as Tofu, Tempeh, Quinoa, Peas, and Hemp Seeds. You can calculate how much protein you need with a calculator online which can help you shoot for a good amount.
5. Whole Foods should be the staple of your diet. Try to eat a very balanced diet with complex carbs, protein, and lots of veggies and fruit. This will help with micronutrients which are so underrated !
Movement ୨୧˚·
1. Find a form of workout you like. If you hate what you do you won’t do it so explore the many options, it could be dance, calisthenics, weight lifting, running , hiking, and so much more!
2. Get in contact with a personal trainer if you can, once again I am a certified personal trainer and I help for free if you need it!
3. Start out small with short amount of time. If you go right into doing 1 hour workouts you will get burned out.
4. Do different muscle groups everyday. Example of this would be arms monday, and legs tuesday. This helps for you not to get as sore and can be more consistent.
5. Be consistent. There are going to be days that you are tired, do it tired. There are going to be days that you are a little sore, which is normal in the beginning, so it sore. If you need rest genuinely take it, but that should be two days top. It’s hard, but it’s also hard to live an unhealthy lifestyle. Choose the type of hard you want.
