Difference Between Copywriting and Content Writing | Liveblack
You cannot write something without purpose, or you should intend to write something to approach people with meaningful content. Writing without purpose is like a human without a heart. Logic is there, but not emotions. Content writing and copywriting are an investment for the business to reach people rightly, solve their problems, and generate sales.
However, don’t consider them the same because there is a difference between copywriting and content writing, making both writings essential for your business. Both have advantages that lead every business to more sales and profits and reach target audiences.
What is the difference between Copywriting and Content Writing?
Copywriting is a piece of content to attracts the audience to buy and sell a product and makes the audience take an intended action. Copywriting triggers the audience’s emotions to make them buy the product or subscribe to the service. A carefully crafted copy increases brand awareness and understanding of the audience’s wants and needs. Copywriting includes -
Social Media Taglines
Commercials
Marketing Mails
Sales Letters
Brochures
Content writing is all about creating content that educates, entertains, drives traffic, promotes any product or service, etc. Using search engine optimization (SEO), a content writer seeks to generate organic traffic and attract and engage the audience properly with their content. It can also be used to establish trust and brand loyalty.

Copy and content writing sound similar but have differences, and this thin line difference clears the intent of both writings.
Content Writer VS Copywriter -
No, we are not making any announcement on the competition between these two. Instead, we provide information about the thin line between this writing. The main difference is that a content writer writes in-depth content, while a copywriter writes short-form content. This in-depth content involves articles, and blogs, whereas short-form content involves slogans and taglines. Copywriters write copies that quickly catch the attention of readers and viewers.
In contrast, writers write content in-depth by researching specific industries or topics to make it more informative. Copywriters craft humorous copy that evokes emotions and encourages people to act quickly. On the other hand, content writers craft their blogs or articles to make people aware of the brand’s services and products they sell, solve their problems, or give information on a particular topic.
These copywriting and content writing differences help you understand the thin line between both. So now the question is, how does a copywriter differ from a content writer? Let’s check out.
Copywriter,
Writes short-form copies
Their main goal is to convince the audience to buy
Writes copies for ads, landing page content, slogans, and taglines
Converts organic traffic to leads
Keeping up with emerging trends
Develop creative concepts
Content Writer,
Writes in-depth content
Their main goal is to inform and educate the audience about services and products
Writes blogs, articles, video scripts
Drives organic traffic
Generates engaging content to attract readers
Researches trending topics and keywords to develop content
After all this information, you may ask which is better, content writing or copywriting, to pursue a career. So my friend, whichever writing you choose leads you to growth and success and helps your organization grow.
Content writing is used in marketing, whereas copywriting is used in advertising. In this way, both have their importance and advantages that boost sales and traffic with the help of creative copies and informative blogs.
There comes a point where you have to pursue, engage, and convince your audience to take action on your content. Many organizations hire content writers and copywriters to manage their content marketing and marketing campaigns. These differences show their work, but it also depends on the person who claims their skills are good enough to write short-form or in-depth content. If they are drawing attention with their skills, they are the strength of any organization.
Liveblack is a digital marketing agency where we help you create unique and creative concepts for your business that draw the attention of your target audience and drive sales. We believe every piece of content matters to grow, strengthen, and enhance the business.

What advice can you give to a person who thinks of writing a fic, but still undecisive and afraid that every theme in the fandom is already written multiple times?
I can confidently say I think everyone has felt similarly about that at some point !! I definitely have, especially because in HP/HL specifically, there’s so many reoccuring themes (Amortentia fics, Yule Ball fics, etc.)
Fanfiction is so great though because everyone has a different voice and way of storytelling ! Your take on a popular theme might be similar to other writers’, but your style and interpretation of the characters will be unique. The way you execute your version is bound to differ from others. If you want to write a trope or something that you’ve seen circulating, I think you should 100% do it, because I guarantee that there’s people out there who LIVE for those topics and will devour anything written about the subject. I can’t tell you how many romantasy books I’ve read in the last 10 years, but I promise that I loved them every single time.
Aside from that:
1. You get great practice out of writing no matter what it might be about
2. Your version of a popular trope might end up being someone’s favorite (but you won’t know unless you try your hand at writing it)
3. Life is too short to worry about repeating fanfic themes. It’s FANFIC. It’s supposed to be fun.
As long as you’re not directly plagiarizing someone else’s work word for word, you have every right to write what you want ! Have fun, full send it, and enjoy the process :)) 💕
#asks#I’m a simple woman I see a book about a chosen one FMC and an immortal mythical creature MMC and I EAT IT UP#everyone is so mindful and worried about being called a copy cat these days#and while it’s good to be aware of those things I think it totally limits your creativity#it’s not like we can copyright fanfic ideas LMAO#go forth and write to your hearts content lovie don’t be afraid to add your voice into the popular trope melting pot !!!#writing advice

i wrote 11k of interstitial infinity time loop set in the loose continuity of marn's fic where al gets hinamizawa'd and i cannot emphasize enough that this may be one of my favorite things i have ever written. top 2 for sure.
content warnings are in the fic notes but just to be super clear: this IS a horror fic. do not let the lack of graphic violence fool you. i'm going to put the snippet in the text of this post just to be safe.
“As far as I can remember there’s nothing in my story that would indicate that time loops are possible, but also I blew up my entire city with psychic powers and demons and ghosts are real so who actually knows,” Shigeo says tonelessly. Shadow hears the sound of a number going up and is alarmed to see, when he looks down, that Shigeo’s has broken five digits and is rapidly rising. “I’ve asked you that before,” Trish mutters thoughtfully. “Five times,” Shigeo replies. “Audrey’s got a friend with a passphrase he made up to prove that someone else is in a time loop, but you haven’t come up with one yourself yet. Shadow’s gonna tell me that if we can find the person who made the loop we can just kill them to solve the problem, and Al—,” Shigeo glances at Al, and his hand flexes and grips the fabric of his shorts. “Al’s having a bad time.”

Form and Void... and Hands and Hearts.
Intro.
Part II
Part III
I really like "Form od Void" from S11. It's one of my favorite episodes and it enrages me to no end that it was Andrew Dabb who wrote it. Sometimes a girl just wants to be a hater. But I don't have it in me :(.
Talking about H-A-T-E...
The episodes starts with this word:
H-a-t-e. It was with this left hand that old brother Cain struck the blow that laid his brother low. L-o-v-e. You see these fingers? They're arched. These fingers has veins that run straight to the soul of man. The right hand, friends -- the hand of love. Now watch, and I'll show you the story of life. These fingers, dear hearts, is always a-warrin' and a-tuggin', one against the other. Now watch 'em. Old brother left hand -- left hand hates a-fightin'. And it looks like love's a goner. But wait a minute. Wait a minute. Hot dog! Love's a-winnin'. Yes, siree. It's love that won. And old left-hand hate is down for the count.

This little monologue here is taken from "The Night of the Hunter" by Charles Laughton, his first and only movie. Laughton was bisexual and I'm telling you this because it's relevant to the usual queer stuff happening in SPN and to the point I want to make in this post.
The title of the episode, "Form and Void" , refers to the Genesis but it contains a meaningful omission. The King James version reads:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Earth is without form, and void. This changes everything because the subject of the sentence is the earth but here we're talking about "form and void" as nouns, not attributes. It's a brilliant call-back to the Genesis (therefore to the beginning of time and the beginning of SPN) and to the dichotomy of God and Amara but it's a smokescreen. The episode abounds with biblical references but there's more, at least to me. There is a secret.
If we look a little beyond Christianity the terms "form and void" are used in one of the most important sutras from Mahayana Buddhism. The Prajñāpāramitāhṛdaya, "The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom", or simply called "The Heart Sutra".
I think you know where I'm going with this. The heart of the Heart Sutra is the following: "Form is emptiness (śūnyatā), emptiness is form". Sūnyatā is such a vast concept that I cannot possibly even IMAGINE to summarize it here. Just for the sake of my argument I'll say that it's often translated as emptiness, vacuity, void... without form. Very broadly (and I'll go to different kinds of Hell in different religions just talking about this stuff in relation to fucking CW Supernatural LOL) it means that ultimate reality is EMPTINESS because there is no FIXED reality, no STABLE self and EVERYTHING is connected and dependent on something else. Therefore form is emptiness and emptiness is form.
You undestand that in this light "Form and Void" is no dichotomy, thefore the episode is telling us to subvert how we view things. And it starts with that quote from "The Night of the Hunter".
Little useful background: the movie is about a fake preacher who preys on two children to get to their father's hidden treasure. He's the big wolf in disguise, a hunter wearing a preacher persona. So we need to take what he says with a grain of salt and he says a lot.
Right hand vs left hand: the preacher/hunter says that the right hand is the hand of love and the left hand is the hand of hate. This follow a well-know misconception regarding everything associated with the left as "sinister" and satanic. It's a Christian view of the world. He also says that Cain killed his brother using his left hand while the right hand has "veins that run straight to the soul of man". This man is conning people.
Notoriously, the hand that has veins that run to the heart is the left hand. This is the reason why people put their wedding rings on their left hand's...ring finger. It's an incredible old assumption that has been debunked by science but we don't care about science here. We care about symbols. And symbolically-speaking the left hand is the hand of the heart and love, not the right hand.
Now where in the hell does this idea of right and left hand? And am I crazy for seeing hints of Buddhism in a story about the Christian God? No.
The left-hand and right-hand paths are two approaches to magic and Western esotericism in general. They're called this way because people in the '800 got interested in Tantrism and translated the sanskrit terms "vāmācāra" and "dakṣiṇācāra" respectively "left-hand path" and "right-hand path". I'm not gonna go into details but I think you understood by now that the "left-hand path" was the "evil" one, the one with sex and other Very Bad Things, while the "right-hand path" was Good and Sexless and Serious and Real. In other words, the right hand represents White Magic and Controlled Sexuality while the left hand represents Black magic and Uncontrolled Sexuality. Practitioners of black magic were evil AND gay.
LOL.
Let's go back to the serial killer preacher: he says that Love wins and that it's the right hand that triumphs over the left hand. All these fingers connected to the soul that are always tugging and warring and getting entwined and hot dog! it's hot in here! But, remember folks, he's conning people. So what he says it's the opposite of what we should understand.

the preacher shouldn't be talking about this stuff in front of children. but then again, he's a predator.
Wait there's more: do you want to know if you're left-hemisphere dominant or right-hemishpere dominant? All you gotta do is to weave your fingers. If your right thumb goes over your left one then you're LEFT-dominant. If your left thumb goes over your right one you're RIGHT-dominant.
Confused much? As you know left emisphere controls controls speech, comprehension, arithmetic, and writing while right hemisphere controls creativity, spatial ability, artistic, and musical skills. It's the opposite of what we might think (because of the stupid assumption according to which left is Bad and Evil. Well, ACTUALLY left is rationality and control so the joke's on you, stupid assumption).
The dear preacher over here is right-hemisphere dominant. It may possibly mean that he's LEFT-handed and thus this image is a huge foreshadow of his "evilness" and his eventual demise. It also means that what he's saying is bullshit.
So to sum it up: in this episodes there are hunters and preachers that aren't really hunters and preachers, there are innocent children who might be seen not as innocent, left hand and right hand are subverted and they mean the opposite of what they should mean thus actually meaning what they mean, the title refers to something AND to something else and this something is very much related to hands and love and hearts...
In just one fucking scene we are told the whole episode and I H-A-T-E-that Dabb wrote it, have I mentioned it?
#i got carried away and i'm writing too much#i should finish this post because i have other stuff to post#but let me know if you're interested or i'm talking to... the void lol#last time i talked about movie and spn my content got copied with no credits so honestly let me know if you appreciate it#or i'm not gonna leave my content for others to grab and share. which is actually fine but at least credit people#like. this is the academia website and yet people don't know the number one rule of the fight club that is academia#CITE YOUR FUCKING SOURCES#spn meta#spn s11#form and void#supernatural#spn#movies in spn

Guess who finally made their card! It's taken forever but they're being printed; I'm going to put one in each of the duplicate copies of Trek books that I have before leaving them in little libraries around my area 😄🖖
And I do intend on posting actual book reviews soon!
#ngl im kinda proud#im a graphic designer and its been fun using that skillset towards something fun#im settling into life after some changes and im hoping to be more active on here 🤞#explanation for the back: i wanted to leave space for me to write book-specific notes#when i put them in as bookmarks#things like content warnings or brief opinions on the story#those lines will help! as well as look like a page (at least i hope it looks like the bottom corner of a page lol)#if not then oh well#unironically if anyone wants any of the extra copies i have i am unironically willing to send them to you free as long as you pay shipping#considering making a poll to see if thats something people might actually be interested in

Got jumpscared by my own full legal name showing up in my email notifications bc I forgot I emailed my code to myself today just in case my VM ends up stopping working again (I got nervous & didn't wanna lose my progress lol)
Goldfish level memory retention
& the funny thing is that the email itself is just. This

Full Legal Name code • hi
#speculation nation#title 'code' email is just 'hi'. with the .c file attached of course#honestly i had a very productive day in lab today. i got the core structure of the program down and made sure it all worked#testing it with One of the sorting algorithms. and it worked!!#the lab is to code functions for different kinds of sorts. like bubble sort selection sort and uhh. some other shit idr rn#and have the functions take timestamps from before and after they run the sorts to calculate the elapsed time#and we have to run this for array sizes of like. 10 50 500 etc etc up to like 50000 or smth? if i remember right.#and then once all that's done we take the output and graph the time elapsed for each type of sort/search per array sizes#so today at lab i made the random array generator function. a swap function. the execution function. bubble sort. and main.#main calls the execution function passing in the array sizes. execution(10); execution(50); etc#execution defines the array of that size. then calls the random number generator to populate the array. then passes it to the sort functions#tested with my one bubble sort function. which finished in like 0.00003 seconds or smth for array size 10#BUT taking the time stamps was tricky. there are a lot of ways to do that. and time(); in c is in full seconds#i ended up asking the TA if he had a recommendation for what to use bc theres a LOT of time functions out there#and full seconds isnt precise enough for this purpose. & he recommended clock()!!#records number of clock ticks which is NOT the same as seconds. but when u divide it by uh. forgetting it rn but it's a constant#that will turn it into actual seconds. clock tics per sec?? smth like that.#so anyways very productive 👍 i just need to set main up to call execution function for all the different array sizes#and then write all the functions for the different sorts/searches. but i have the core structure down with the bubble sort function#(specifically with the time stamps and the print function after) that i will copy-paste for all the other functions#and then inside them i put the basic code. none of it's complicated. all can be found on the internet easy.#SO!!!!! honestly i think itd take me less than an hour to finish. tho plotting out that graph is going to be annoying#something like 6 sizes per 5 sort/search functions. painstakingly copy pasting each one into excel or smth lol#but yea im content with how much ive gotten done. yippee!!!!#now i just need to finish my web programming lab before sunday night. blehhhhh

Sovereign Possession of Will —part 1 (2297 words)
(masterlist) / (next)
"Hello, Orion."
William's entire body froze to a halt. No one should know to address him by that name, least of all here.
He willed himself to move, to check his surroundings, his heart running circles to stay on guard. He waited for more to come, for a commotion to start around him, but only an aching silence remained. It was as if the greeting had come from nothing at all, and returned to its nonexistence just as promptly.
"William, is something the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost," prompted the young Lord he'd been speaking to. "Or perhaps your wife," they chuckled.
He pulled his senses back into focus, urging himself to speak. "Ah, yes, right. I, ah— I just remembered something dire I have to attend to," he said, only barely more assured than he felt. "My immense apologies."
He didn't pay much attention to how they replied. He made his way to the edge of the ballroom, consciously pacing his steps against his racing pulse.
Could it be a spell? Just his imagination? No. But then where had it come from? Who had it come from?
If it had been someone, William was painfully aware that excusing himself at this time may as well be a direct confession. If the source of that voice had harbored any doubts, he'd certainly crushed them— but he needed somewhere discreet to calm down for the time being. Whoever had spoken to him clearly already knew about Orion, but if he wasn't careful, he'd draw suspicion even from those who didn't.
He rested his forehead against the ornate bathroom wall, calming his breaths and trying to focus.
Where could he have possibly slipped up this badly? He didn't think he'd done anything particularly suspicious at this gala, so they must have suspected him before now. But when? Why?
The realization coiled its way around his throat, halting his breath. A few months back, some good-for-nothing noble had gotten carelessly drunk, and cut themself on their wine glass when they'd fallen. He felt the pressure in his nerves twist into knots. He'd... reacted to the smell. He had thought he'd kept face well enough, perhaps just come off as squeamish, but his attempt to flee may have caught someone's attention after all.
And if someone had followed him...
That meant that whoever this were, they were likely nobility. Which in turn meant that they likely only knew as much about Orion as the sensationalist news outlets did; they almost certainly thought he was just some low-life serial killer. So, it stood to reason, they should know nothing of his assassinations, or his involvement in organized crime and the potion market. In a pinch, perhaps he could use this to his advantage somehow.
Still... Even if they had followed him and come to the conclusion that he were a vampire, it frightened him to think that in a matter of weeks, they had sniffed out his alias with enough confidence to approach him like this.
Moreover, they didn't seem to be afraid of him. That meant that they either knew about his poor health, or had enough tangible evidence on his criminal activity that they could have him arrested on the spot. In which case... was it even possible for them to be nobility? But if not, then how would they have made it into the palace not only once, but twice, during such high-profile events?
He would have to consider his next moves very carefully.
He left the bathroom and took the time to slide into a more stoic demeanor. For the next several minutes, he heard nothing. He almost wondered if perhaps he had imagined it, or misheard.
It wasn't until nearly an hour later when he heard that voice again. In the midst of mingling with some low-rank nobles' sons, as he sociably took from one of the platters passed around and closed his lips around a bite, the saccharine sound rang in his ear like an alarm to a tripwire.
"Poor thing," it called out, an audible smile on their lips. "It must be so strange to chew your food."
William forgot to breathe. The fear ran through him like an over-steeped black tea, flooding his mind and overwhelming subtler flavors like reason or patience. He coughed into his hand, choking on what had already been in his throat.
His company asked if he was feeling alright. He tried to sound as unafraid as possible, eking out a "yes, I'm... excuse me," as he hurried away at a deliberately reasonable pace. Once he escaped their line of vision, he forced the tremors out of his gait before slipping away to an uninhabited corner of the room.
"Want me to keep your secret?" The tone felt almost sing-song in its playful hostility, though the words were spoken in a level, cool voice.
It felt like a whisper from behind. A shiver ran along William's skin in anticipation of their breath, but the sensation never came— the sound lacked the warmth or moisture that he braced himself for, and the air remained still.
"Where are you?" William asked, careful to keep his words under his breath and out of earshot of the nearby party guests.
He supposed, given the strange lack of physical presence, there was no guarantee that they were in earshot of him. He received no reply.
Miserable and anxious, he instead answered their question with a faint nod.
He winced at their immediate response, a chuckle laced with malicious delight. He could hear their sadistic grin in their tone alone. "But how do you hope to convince me?"
William put his entire will into keeping his voice level. "What do you want?"
Another sinister chuckle echoed by his ear. "Oh? Who says I want anything?"
William swallowed and rooted his nerves. He knew they must want something from him. They wouldn't go to all this trouble to contact him otherwise. Therefore... this response meant that they expected him to plead for their mercy, to take the initiative to bargain for his life.
"I... have information that is rather difficult to get ahold of," he suggested. "Surely an internal record of infamous criminal activities must appeal to you."
"Mmm... Boring," the voice said, callously. "I have no need of, nor interest in, such information."
William could feel the unspoken order in their tone, demanding he try harder to impress them, and threatening to grow more impatient by the minute. And he knew he couldn't afford that.
"Why else go to all this trouble to find me? And to not turn me in?"
"Hm," the voice said, "Perhaps I found myself bored." Then, with hostile amusement, oppressively close to his ear: "Perhaps I just wanted to watch you squirm."
"Then..." He squirmed. He pushed down his pride, speaking more firmly. "What could I do to convince you to grant me your mercy?"
To his surprise, the voice sounded satisfied. "Are you familiar with the Lord of Aumsel?"
"Yes." He was, though not intimately. They'd shared a conversation just tonight, one that was probably best described as... tolerably pleasant.
"You," the voice directed, "are going to kill him."
The playful, threatening atmosphere had evaporated, leaving in its wake an impressive, lofty, commanding one. The threat still loomed passively over the conversation, but it seemed that it was no longer the priority of the speaker— just a gentle reminder in case William had any second thoughts about disobeying.
"In one fortnight, he will be found dead in his home," the voice continued. "You are to make it look as if one of his maids orchestrated it.
"Oh, and you're welcome to eat him," they added dismissively. "I don't care, so long as you aren't obvious about it. Don't allow it to resemble your typical handiwork, and you can otherwise do as you please."
It... certainly didn't sound like they were unfamiliar with his profession. Just how exactly had they found so much about him? His vision spun, his mind trying to keep up. And not only that, their suggestion...
"I— I can't do that," he said, his dizziness working its way into his breath. "I haven't eaten in... years," he clarified, struggling to force the words out of his throat.
"Well, if you'd rather let it go to waste, that's fine by me," they said, "I couldn't care less what you do to his corpse. So long as you follow my instructions precisely."
He gave a faint nod. He... had doubts about his ability to do this, but it wasn't like he had any choice.
"Good." Their tone was sweet, but not pleasant— there was not a hint of genuine gratitude behind it. "Next, I have a gift for you. Go retrieve it."
William dreaded to think of what kind of "gift" this could be. His mind churned with the gruesome possibilities, but he kept them firmly under his voice. "And how should I do that?"
"Go down that passage to your left," they directed. "You will see a set of stairs as you approach the end of the hall. Take them."
They then waited until he had reached the end of the stairs. "The third door on the right. I've unlocked it for you."
"Down the hall. Make a left when it ends."
"You will pass through the library. You are not to be seen here. Exit through the doorway on the bottom floor."
The voice continued to issue instructions, weaving and twisting him throughout the back halls of the palace. William marveled grimly at the unhindered power and knowledge his guide expressed. It seemed that not only had they uncovered a truly exorbitant level of information about himself, they also had intimate knowledge of the royal family's staff and palace structure, directing him where he would remain unnoticed.
It seemed impossible that this person was omniscient, but their level of preparation left him wondering. How long had they been planning this? Who were their informants? William didn't know anyone who could provide this many details on the palace layout. And the presence of a "gift" at the end would imply that William was not the first person under their command to move freely about the palace.
"The seventh door to your right." William entered, finding himself in a bedroom.
It was on the smaller end of things, for a bedroom in the palace. From the overwhelmingly neutral and stale air, he concluded it was unoccupied, and had been for quite some time. It was modestly furnished as well, featuring only a bed, dresser, desk, and chair.
"You'll find your gift in the top drawer on the right side of the desk. Do not open any other compartments."
He complied. Inside was a discreet but expensive-looking brooch, polished silver with a blue jeweled centerpiece. He held it delicately— he could feel the magic radiating from it, a gentle, fuzzy, tingle sent up his nerves at the slightest contact with his skin.
He put it on when he received the order. "Good," said the voice, suddenly crisp, and as clear as William's own thoughts. "Now. The details of your assignment are as follows..."
The voice proceeded to give him the specifics. When, where, and how they wanted their target dead.
They were able to provide him detailed descriptions of the interior of the house, down to the latches on the windows. The names of the maids, and the one they wanted framed for this. Papers in specific locations that they wanted scattered at the scene of the murder, locks to be conspicuously broken open, traces of a struggle to leave, but to be careful to leave no sign of a break-in.
At the end of their description, perhaps sensing his compliance, they left him be. With a final, derisive "good luck," the voice vanished, leaving him strung on his intangible timer. And though his nerves remained for the rest of the evening, they didn't speak to him again.
He rejoined the crowd, pushing himself back into a mental state conducive to socialization. He would have to get started on his preparations as soon as possible, but his first priority was avoiding any further unnecessary attention.
To William's partial relief, the rest of the night was uneventful; no one even confronted him regarding his sudden absence. He suspected they simply would rather talk about themselves.
After a few slow hours making himself friendly, his wife brought him back to their humble shared house a few towns away. It was only once she went to sleep that he was able to get to work.
Creeping back outside at his first chance, Orion made his way to his actual home. A home he hadn't been to since he'd gotten married.
It took him a moment to identify, disguised along the hilly terrain. The false grass lining the outside of the barrier was quite realistic, and only a skilled witch would know what magic traces to look for in the first place. He pulled open the entrance to the barrier, shutting it seamlessly behind him.
It was as he'd left it. His one consistent refuge across all these years.
Opening the door to the actual building inside, he was welcomed into the peaceful, dark space. He allowed himself a moment to reminisce. He had many memories in this place, not all of them pleasant, and the circumstances of his return reminded him of the more bitter associations.
He reluctantly ascended his staircase, every step stark in contrast to the dead silence of the enclosure. Up here was his old study, with everything he would need.
He sat at his desk, watching the familiar mechanisms hiding his journals and notes as they receded into the walls.
Now, he just needed a plan.
