In the beginning, there was violence and chaos. The beauty of the new world was marred with the crimson of the slain and the anguished cries of those left behind. For centuries, the turbulence waged with alliances constantly shifting between species as warfare continued. Until the Faeries intervened and the Inter-Realm Treaty was signed. It fashioned the birth of the new world that followed, Lume Noua. Seven realms were created, each led by a different species in newly established noble houses across the realms, and set the tone and culture of their new civilizations - one built on the foundation of the peace treaty. Centuries later, in the year, 2600, the Inter-Realm Treaty expired. And a new realm, The Dark World, has risen in public opposition of Lume Noua’s current political order. Will Lume Noua repeat its history and origin story? Will the world as the various beings know it transform, yet again?

LumeNouaRP is an 18+, original character, fantasy based royal roleplay set in a supernatural world. We are an interactive, plot based roleplay that puts you in control of allies and enemies within each realm as none are set at the start. We aim for diversity and inclusivity as well as maintain a safe and fun place to write and interact.

I was given freedom to design the armor, which had to be very heavy on the fae elements since she's from the Feywild. Which honestly was SUCH a delight it gave me the freedom to go all in with the shinies and iridescences~~

Eureka: The Fanservice Files adds a Trait to the game for your investigator having huge boobs.

This Mundane Trait, called “Well Endowed,” is for investigators with huge boobs.

It has two benefits and two downsides. The first is obvious, a +1 Contextual bonus to the Seduce Skill, always active. The second is a bit more situational. It makes your investigator’s cleavage function as a storage space, which, now that I’m writing it out, I think that that might be one of the features of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy that i haven’t explained on social media at all.

So now this post is about the Wealth Skill too.

In Eureka, you don’t track individual dollars, your investigators have a Wealth Skill Rating. This is essentially their social/economic class, and it serves dual purpose. Firstly, it can be rolled for knowledge of high-class society, and the modifier can be reversed when rolling for knowledge of lower class society.

This also acts as a modifier for WP roll, which i have already covered in a previous post.

During gameplay, though, Wealth can also be rolled to purchase useful items at stores. With a Full Success, they can find and buy just what they’re looking for. With a Partial Success, they may be able to find something slightly worse than what they need, or they can buy what they need but they lose Composure from financial stress.

Wealth rolls like this are not only made at stores though, they can be made at the investigator’s house, vehicle, or backpack, usually with a negative modifier, to determine if they already had what they needed tucked away in the closet or trunk or something. (Fairies in particular have a bit of a hammerspace thing going on with these, and can pull much more out of places than one would expect them to be able to hold.)

The “Well Endowed” Trait extends this ability to your investigator’s cleavage. It has a low modifier, but at any time they can try to produce a useful item from between their breasts. The snoop illustration for this isn’t ready yet, but it will feature a snoop and a well-endowed snoopette both tied up with padlocked chains; and the snoopette is wiggling a set of lock picks out from between her breasts for the snoop to take and free them both.

(The hammerspace features of fairies’ storage also extends to “Well Endowed” if they have it. A well-endowed fairy could even hide a person in there, in a pinch, with onlookers none the wiser.)

Now for the downsides of Well Endowed. If a well-endowed investigator is ever trying to squeeze through a very small gap, they run the risk of getting stuck thanks to their enormous breasts. Secondly, any time a well-endowed investigator starts moving on-foot at a rate that would require the Speed rules to come into play, they must make a small Composure roll, because ouch, their back!

Strays is my 246 page stab at a faerie story. It's a ttrpg. It's got urban fantasy and horror muddled in. All of the courts are toxic in their own ways. The world made by adults sucks.

April Fools! Eureka: The Fanservice Files

April Fools! Or, not really. What started out as a complete joke has turned into a complete little mini-expansion for Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy, because we really have a lot of trouble doing anything half-way when it comes to game design.

In this little expansion pack, you will find one new Mundane Trait; two new Supernatural Traits, one monster and one misc.; and two new Mage Powers, usable by Mages, Witches, Fairies, and Changelings in various capacities - all based on in-jokes within the fanbase and/or jokes about the reputation of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy at large.

Initially these were supposed to be “fake” Traits, but that idea lasted all of about 5 seconds before we decided first of all that would be mean, and secondly it’s funnier if they’re real Traits played straight, and it wouldn’t be that hard to make real, interesting Traits out of theme. Thirdly, selling a “fake” expansion is called “a scam,” but if we put the little extra effort in to make them real Traits, we can put it up for sale for real while laughing about it and giving a certain subset of the fanbase and critics alike “what they want” without adding to the already overinflated page count of the main Eureka rulebook.

Faerie Dragon Artist: Hannah Davis (2005) Source: World of Warcraft: the roleplaying game - Alliance Player's Guide, p. 207 This creature resembles a dragon in some respects, but feathery antennae sprout from its head and its wings are moth-like. Its turquoise scales shimmer in the sparkles that dance from its body. It turns its head to look at you with a beady black eye before emitting a small keen. Faerie dragons are not related to true dragons, though they share similar traits in appearance. They are mystic creatures that protect the Emerald Dream from hostile magic; occasionally they join their night elf allies in Azeroth’s battles as well. Faerie dragons do not speak.

The Community’s Coral Castle, Castle Ephemera

Finally, we visit the home of the fourth court you'll meet in Little Wolves; The Mermaids.

Located at the deepest part of the Soothloch is Castle Ephemera, its tallest spires poking past the water’s surface.

The castle is surrounded by coral gardens, swaying sea grasses, and sandy leaf sheep grazing grounds. A maze of rooms, cracks, and natural corridors, many denizens live here communally.

Any creatures who can't breathe underwater may be granted a blessing that allows them to walk across the seabed as if the loch's water is air.

All they need to do is ask the loch for permission and pledge to have no ill intent. If the promise is broken, the blessing is revoked.

Mermaid Queens are elected by the court as needed, their choices often swayed by glimpses into the future. They stay in power until premonitions of a new Queen begin to flow from the veil. Often, such visions are followed by the current Queen’s demise or retirement.
