Amity is a Dimensional Dump
So! Amity Park is a hub of weirdness of all sorts, mostly undead, but there are also a bunch of Multiversal oddities connected to the small town.
There are the minor anomalies. 5th Street has a bad habit of slipping into the Backrooms, Old Lady Jenkin's House sometimes has snow in summer, and of course the Night Sky had a 20% chance of swapping views to another Galaxy. Danny likes that one a lot.
But the biggest Anomaly is how many Multiversal Travellers get lost there.
They are always finding somebody wandering the streets with no idea where they are, and have to help them find their reality of origin. Other times they decide to stay for various reasons, ranging from a bad home life to being the only survivors of a Dead Universe. Half of the population if Amity was made up of the descendants of Lost Travelers, so their DNA was really a mixed bag.
Danny was flying over town when he spotted a Blur on the ground below.
He flew down to intercept, and found a boy in red and yellow panicking over his situation.
"Hey! Can I help you?" He called out.
The boy looked up, and gasped "Are you a Hero? I need help getting back to the Justice League!"
Danny chuckled, "Which one?"
The boy looked confused, "The Adult One? I guess?"
"Not what I meant, sorry. I mean, which Dimension are you from?" He clarified.
"Dimensions? What is going on!?" He shouted.
"Okay, let's calm down and restart. My name is Danny, who are you?" He introduced himself.
The boy took a deep breath, calming himself, before saying, "Okay, my name is Kid Flash, but you can just call me Wally."

genuinely curious how the writers and larger dragon age audience would treat thom rainier if instead of being appropriately* repentant and putting himself in prison he blew up a major orlesian government building to instigate a chevalier rebellion or tried to have someone do some necromantic blood magic ritual involving uncertain danger and possible sacrifices to bring the innocent children he ordered killed back to life
#*appropriately as in showing the expected amount of remorse in the appropriate way in a society founded on guilt and shame#i think blackwall actually tells us a lot about how dragon age's writers conceptualize justice and deservedness of punishment#im glad we get the option to forgive him but why do we get the option when anders is exiled at best?#and later characterized as a villain by dai#when solas is willfully imprisoned at best and trapped in a horrifying psychological torture chamber at worst?#blackwall gets a full redemption happy ending if inky so chooses#and im not saying he shouldnt#i forgive him every time#but its so interesting to me that narratively speaking#he seems to earn his happy ending through submission to punishment via imprisonment#as does solas but blackwall is portrayed far more sympathetically overall#there isnt the same meta-level narrative slander and clear agenda on behalf of the writing to make you feel a certain way about his crimes#as there is with anders and solas#why? whats the difference? what did he do to buy himself that narrative goodwill?#put himself in prison? why do the writers love carceral punishment so much lmfaooo#mine#if you wanna screenshot these tags and add them to the reblog feel free#im realizing i prob just shouldve put all of this in the post but its too late now#i think theres actually a strong argument that thom does not do nearly ENOUGH to right his wrongs#where is his effort to reform the orlesian military? where is his criticism of orlesian imperialism?#how does serving in the inquisition have a direct impact on the people he harmed? it doesnt#when you compare him to someone like roy mustang#yes im comparing him to roy mustang this is my blog and you are never going to escape roy mustang comparisons here#roy's political ambitions following his war crimes are directly related to those war crimes#and his goals directly benefit the same group of people he harmed#their ancestors and family members literally#meanwhile blackwall just kind of does vague “good” deeds and gets a full redemption#he really does not make much effort to repatriate the harm he did as a soldier#he just moves on#which again.... no shade to blackwall. my inky forgives him

harry’s ‘saving people thing’ comes from james potter and if you disagree, u can bite me because that is the TRUTH
#james potter#james was probably a little more urban liberal about it tbf#mans too privileged w too many minority friends not to be#but that aside#his black and white thinking also meant he prolly had an overdeveloped sense of justice#and felt like he needed to uphold it (or ensure others did) at all times#this is the same man who could not even utter the word mudblood in relation to someone else saying it#he was prolly self righteous as hell#but at its core. his heart. soul. he truly wanted to help#and that mattered#because he could reform and refine his actions#but he had the intentions right from the start#james was a protector first and foremost#and honestly i’ll tie this into a lot of potter family lore as well#but not now. those are thoughts for another time.#i also think everytime james came in contact with a tortured soul (which was v often considering remus and sirius at the very least)#it just reinforced his attitude#because he needed to keep saving them. protecting them. if he could only shield then he’d be the best shield there ever was#and that right there would also tie neatly into his need to be the best#to be as competent as he could#because he needs all of those skills to take care of his friends#anything they need him to be he would mould himself into it#this increased the more cognisant he became of his privileged btw#(am i slightly projecting on james? sure but we’re not talking ab that)#i just feel very strongly about him ok?#my previous babyyyyy#pen’s notes

📢 🚨 Our Story Needs to Be Heard – What Happened to Us Was Wrong
I'm a mum of several beautiful children, including neurodivergent little ones. We recently moved from Victoria to South Australia to start a new chapter—but what followed was a nightmare no parent should ever have to live through.
All I did was breastfeed my baby.
At a routine GP visit, the doctor said my baby needed blood tests and vitals checked—but then told me she couldn’t do it because she wasn’t a “baby doctor.” Despite the clinic being right next door to a hospital, she refused to send us next door for tests. She didn’t refer us. She didn’t request bloods. She didn’t offer support or treatment.
Instead, she called Child Protection Services.
We were told to go to a hospital over an hour from home—not our local one. When I got there, they locked me and my baby in. I was detained for 19 days. I was told that if I tried to leave “against medical advice,” they would take all of my children.
Let that sink in.
For 19 days I was kept from my other children—who are already vulnerable and neurodivergent. They didn’t understand why mum was gone. They cried. They regressed. They were broken.
The hospital ran basic tests, then did… nothing. No IVs. No treatments. No emergencies. Just observation. And my baby? All that was “wrong” was low vitamin B12, which could’ve been fixed with a simple supplement. If the GP had just acted like a doctor instead of calling the government, this would never have happened.
There was no abuse.
No neglect.
No refusal of care.
Only a breastfeeding mum, asking for clarity and doing the right thing.
And yet…
I was threatened.
I was silenced.
I was punished for breastfeeding and asking questions.
Now I’m speaking up.
We are pursuing formal complaints with AHPRA and HCSCC. We are demanding an apology, policy change, and compensation for the trauma inflicted on our family.
This isn’t just about us. This is about protecting every mother, every baby, and every neurodivergent child from abuse of power in healthcare and child protection.
If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.
We deserve better. Families deserve better. Mums deserve better.
Please share our story. Help us raise awareness. Let’s hold the system accountable so this never happens again.

👰‍♀️Say NO to Child Marriages in America! Implement Standardized Marriage Age Laws
AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS; STATE GOVERNORS & LEGISLATURES
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the discrepancies and alarming loopholes in marriage age laws across the states and to advocate for action towards implementing a standardized marriage age of 18 nationwide, with strict provisions that prohibit underage marriage below 16 and set an age of consent not below 16. Additionally, I recommend setting a consent age gap provision that is no more permissive than at least 14 years old and up to five years older, further ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth.
It is alarming to note that four states—California, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Oklahoma—currently have no official minimum age for marriage but require parental consent or court approval. This inconsistency in laws creates dangerous loopholes that could be exploited by individuals seeking to harm or exploit minors. Allowing underage marriage below the age of 16 poses serious risks, including increased vulnerability to exploitation and abuse.
I urge you to take immediate steps towards implementing a consistent and protective legal framework by advocating for standardized marriage age laws across the nation.
Thank you for considering this urgent matter. I strongly believe that uniform marriage age laws are essential to safeguarding the rights and safety of young individuals and preventing potential harm.
Together, we can say NO to child marriage and child exploitation!

Oh, let's have Jazz working as her brother's Fright Knight/Royal Bounty Hunter while searching for an actual human job post college.
Jazz is way less vulnerable to mind control due to her empathy powers and impossible to hit because of her mist powers. Both of which make her the perfect person to send after necromancers and other living individuals who want to controlthe dead for their own gain.
Soul Shredder takes the form of a revolver and can be used to teleport people directly to holding cells as well as dumping them into the fear dimension. It is also just about the only ranged weapon she can accurately shoot with as it's guided with the mind instead of physical skill.
She was in town to deal with the Court of Owls and apply for a position in Arkham when she met Jason at a library.
They immediately hit it off and had been dating for several months when Jazz was caught on camera "executing" a member of the Court. (Really she dumped them in a cell at Phantom’s Keep to await trial)
She and Jason have discussed liminality and she has hinted at having some kind of position in liminal government, but they haven't gone into details.
To be fair, neither has Jason.
Jason blinked in surprise at the image that had been added to their groupchat. He recognized that face. In fact, you could say he knew it very intimately now.
After debating for a moment, he sent a reply. “I think I may have found ‘em”
“Do you still have a visual?”
Jason’s gaze flicked to the figure. Still asleep in bed next to him.
“…yes”

“Who’s Protecting the Children?”: John Myrick Calls for Family Court Investigation in Maryland
By [Your Name] | July 2025 In Maryland, it’s easier to garnish a father’s wages than it is to guarantee him a phone call with his own child. The family court system was built to serve the best interests of the child. But according to Republican gubernatorial candidate John Myrick, it’s become a bureaucratic black hole—where money talks louder than truth, and where too many children become pawns…

How Bipartisanship Works in Vermont Politics
Why Republicans and Progressives Can Actually Get Along Here In a time when politics often feels broken, Vermont stands out. While most headlines focus on division and dysfunction, this small state quietly operates on something that feels almost radical in 2025: cooperation. Vermont’s political system is not perfect. But it is effective. And in many cases, it’s because the people here refuse to…

Eureka Centre Ballarat | The Spirit of Democracy Preserved
Tumblr media
Eureka Centre Ballarat: The Spirit of Democracy Preserved
Located on the historic site of the Eureka Stockade, the Eureka Centre Ballarat is a powerful destination that commemorates one of the most defining events in Australia’s democratic journey. More than a museum, this center serves as a storytelling space, honoring the courage of miners who stood against injustice and sparked a lasting national legacy. It’s a site that blends history, education, and reflection, making it a must-visit for those wanting to understand Australia’s identity at its roots.
Historical Significance
The Eureka Centre stands at the site of the 1854 Eureka Rebellion, a pivotal moment in Australian history. In the mid-19th century, Ballarat was the epicenter of the Victorian gold rush. Amid rapid growth, gold miners (or "diggers") faced rising license fees and harsh treatment from colonial authorities. On December 3, 1854, a group of miners raised the now-iconic Eureka Flag and clashed with government troops in a brief but violent confrontation.
Though the rebellion was suppressed, it marked a turning point in the country’s democratic development. The subsequent public outcry led to reforms including the abolition of the mining license, broader voting rights, and representation in parliament.
The Eureka Centre was established to preserve the memory and meaning of this event. It serves as both a monument and an education hub, inviting Australians and international visitors alike to engage with questions of fairness, justice, and political participation.
When to Go
The Eureka Centre is open year-round and is especially rewarding to visit during key Australian historical dates. December 3rd marks the anniversary of the Eureka Stockade and often features commemorative events. School holiday periods also offer family-friendly activities and educational programs that bring history to life for all ages.
Autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) offer mild weather, ideal for enjoying the landscaped park and memorials surrounding the center. Weekdays tend to be quieter, perfect for those seeking a more reflective experience.
What to Do
The Eureka Centre offers a rich and immersive experience. Start with the main exhibition space, where a compelling narrative unfolds through artifacts, interactive displays, archival documents, and multimedia presentations. One of the most treasured exhibits is the original Eureka Flag—carefully preserved and displayed with great reverence. Its tattered blue and white form, handmade by the rebels, has become one of Australia’s most enduring symbols of resistance and solidarity.
Explore the center’s interpretive displays, which explain the build-up to the rebellion, the lives of the miners, and the aftermath that reshaped Victoria’s political landscape. Life-sized recreations and digital installations allow visitors to walk through 1850s Ballarat and step into the world of the goldfields.
Outside, stroll through the Eureka Stockade Memorial Park, where the layout of the stockade is marked and peaceful lawns invite reflection. The park also features commemorative plaques and sculptures that honor the fallen miners and their cause.
The on-site café offers refreshments, while the gift shop stocks a selection of historical books, flags, educational toys, and Australian-made souvenirs. The centre also offers guided tours, school programs, and talks, making it a dynamic place of learning for all ages.
Special exhibitions and events throughout the year ensure there is always something new to discover—whether it’s an art installation, a community lecture, or a live reenactment.
Conclusion
The Eureka Centre Ballarat is not just a window into the past—it’s a mirror reflecting contemporary values of fairness, freedom, and democratic spirit. By visiting, you step into a chapter of history that continues to shape Australia today. Whether you are a history enthusiast, educator, student, or simply a curious traveler, the Eureka Centre offers a moving and meaningful experience. Here, at the site where ordinary people once made extraordinary sacrifices, the legacy of courage, unity, and reform lives on.

"Contemporary race scholars and Black feminist activists have linked this hesitation to the popular notion that Black women face significant advantages when compared to Black men. This skewed analysis emerges from the trap of loyalty which results in Black women having their needs denied, their contributions discounted, and their victimization ignored."

Five Years
This post is long overdue... but I figured that I had better get it posted, because I will have another big announcement COMING LATER THIS WEEK.
If you caught my story on Facebook or Snapchat a few weeks ago, then you already know. Josh and Ashley Drew were scheduled to be at Washington County Courthouse for a pre-trial conference on Friday, November 22, 2024. Ironically, the last time I had seen them face-to-face was at my hearing to terminate my parental rights. Five years earlier TO THE DAY. I took this selfie on the way to the…

An open letter to the U.S. Congress
Support S. 3402 / HR 6608, The End Hedge Fund Control of American Homes Act.
123 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!
The housing crisis is devastating communities all across the country, and corporate executives are exploiting it to put more money in their pockets. We shouldn’t allow private equity firms to buy up vast quantities of American homes and create a generation of lifelong renters.  Congress needs to act fast and help promote access to safe, affordable housing and homeownership for American families, not Wall Street.
That’s why I support S. 3402 / HR 6608, The End Hedge Fund Control of American Homes Act. This legislation seeks to put an end to the harmful practice of hedge funds buying up single-family homes by banning hedge funds from owning these types of homes and requiring them to sell at least 10% of the total number of single-family homes they currently own to families per year over a 10-year period. After a 10-year full phase-out, all hedge funds will be completely banned from owning any single-family homes. This legislation will bring down housing prices, giving more families the opportunity to purchase a home and set their families up for a bright future.
I’d like you to co-sponsor and work to pass this vital legislation. Continued Congressional inaction on the housing crisis is unacceptable. Thanks.
