absolutely love how early on in the Oregon Parks promo campaign everyone was under the tweets being like "alex what is this" "alex we know it's you" "what are you plotting alex" and now everyone is screaming and crying in the replies for Park Ranger Gus Burnside and asking if he's okay

he got the fandom invested in his twitter roleplay character in the span of ~a week. i'm afraid there's nobody doing it like him— anyone who thinks they can pull off a Gravity Falls revival hoax/troll/etc should quit while they're ahead, truly

It's been talked about to death and back but. JSchlatt joining the DSMP, only ever logging on for lore purposes, playing a fan fucking tastic villain that was an absolute joy to watch on screen, equal parts menacing/intimidating and goofy, completely stealing the show and perfectly matching the silly-but-serious energy of the lore up to that point, doing that for 1 season that I still think is one of the most impossibly coherent and thematically powerful pieces of roleplay media to date, and then having his character die after he'd run his course and never logging on again. was completely fucking legendary. He knew exactly what he needed to do and he did it flawlessly then left.

The first chapter was published exactly one year ago. After a month or two of hanging out with so many talented writers and artists in this fandom, I decided to give writing fic a shot, to give creating something a shot.

I now have 145k words published on AO3.

Guess I have a new hobby now, huh? I finally stuck to one.

I've made so many friends, I've gotten fanart, I've had such an amazing time, even if I now know Writer Suffering™️. Thank you all so much.
