Aspec men deserve much more respect and recognition in the aspec community than they receive. i don't think terfs realise that this means the police can now refuse any woman, including cis women, their right to be searched by a female officer, if they think the woman is trans.

back when i had short hair in school, i was often called "young man" by teachers and mistaken for a boy. short hair, that's all it took. even when classmates would laugh, the teachers wouldn't be able to figure out why. i looked enough like a boy.

"I can't believe CDPR made one of the romance options a COP" River is a cop for literally two thirds of a mission that is dedicated to uncovering the depths of police corruption in Night City, gets immediately booted from the force BECAUSE he tried to stand up to said police corruption, spends the rest of the game pursuing detective work outside the law, and in the base game mentions he's going to start work as a private eye so he doesn't have to return to the force in order to keep protecting people.

The only instance where the "River is a Cop" joke is funny is using it in the context of Johnny being pissy about it, which should probably tell you how low hanging that particular fruit probably is.

Diomedes really cranked the "simp-o-meter for Odysseus" from 0 to 12 in approximately 0.6 seconds in book 10 (choose ur spy buddy) and im snort-laughing.

Partially because of how Unnecessarily Extra Diomedes is.

And then even more so because of how Extremely Done Odysseus is in his reply (every time he uses the "long-suffering Odysseus" epithet i fucking DIE laughing. I can FEEL the -_-)

But also, because I feel like the opposite is more typical (Odysseus having the flowery flattering speeches and Diomedes just, like, "read at 2pm"-ing him in return):

I am choosing to headcanon that Dio is very subtly/very gently teasing/mocking Odysseus. And that Ody has done the "oh i pick Diomedes the incredible, the unmatchable, unwinnable force of the gods' will!!!" thing to him recently and Dio is now just throwing it back at him in a "do u hear what u sound like when u talk???" Kind of way.

Which is why Ody is peak "i am Unamused by this, diomedes" in the scene. Because he knows he's being gently roasted in a way the others likely won't pick up on/which is Just For Him.

i just want to point out what a stupid decision it was to ignore DA tradition of returning one of the previous companions and adding them to your current crew. it was so fun! it was so interesting seeing the same character perceive different situations and people. double it if they're changing between the games (anders) but no, the closest thing we've got is varric, and hoooo boyyyy do i have a problem with that

First of all Varric shouldn't be there. We all know that. Trespasser went above and beyond to put a fan favorite character in a good enough place so he still felt important yet had a finished arc. He returned to rebuild his city, settled down after everything he went through for the last decade and took deserved rest. But then we go to Veilguard, and guess what? Nope! He's hunting the guy he knew for a year (not even to save his actual soulmate-bff from the Fade) but just to shout at him without even bothering to understand his intentions, pull a gun on him not even 2 minutes in the dialogue and got stabbed.

Second, Varric has already been in two games. And not just as a small cameo, no, as a non skippable companion! Even if veilguard's writers intentions were pure (which they weren't) it's still waaay too much screentime for a one character to have no matter how loved. At best it shows them as unprofessional so they are blinded by their favoritism (which is never good), at worst as incompetent hacks who have to abuse character's popularity to cover their lack of writing skills.

Third, it's not even real Varric! It's your imaginary friend spitting the most basic-ass pseudo-motivational bullshit you can even imagine

hello kids i haven't done a controversial post in a while but i am filled with rage so here goes. louis' coming to india next week and i have already seen way too many pointed comments towards that and let me say this plain and straight: you're fucking racist. this is the first time ever in 15 years that we are getting a 1d member to come to india and yes we're enthusiastic about it and we're going to be loud and going to bring out our desiness to show louis how much we love him and to give him a glimpse of our culture. if any non-asian people can't understand that vigour then you can fuck off because it's not your country nor your culture. we love loudly and we want him to see that just as much as we've waited for him, it was definitely worth a visit for him as well. i know there's main non-asian people coming to the show, which honestly is a whole other rant, but hey if you have money and wanna spend it who am i to say anything. all i'm saying is come here as a guest and leave as one. do not for one fucking second compare or comment about how us desis are different from you whites because of course we are. different cultures, remember? also to those people who have made comments like "i hate that louis might debut a new song at a show that's not mine and is in fucking india" suck my fucking dick. why can't you just accept that we deserve it too? why can't you let go of your superiority and accept that not everything needs to happen in a first world country? that is plain racist and i hope you get your privilege under check before tuning into the instagram live of louis' set next sunday.
