“Teach Me Gently, Guide Me Kindly”
Summary: While struggling with a challenging lesson, you find solace in Anaxa’s patient and gentle guidance. What begins as a simple study session turns into a quiet, meaningful moment of connection, as he helps you understand difficult concepts with care and warmth.

The cool breeze of the evening swept through the open windows of the study hall, rustling the papers on the desk. You were seated at one of the many tables, half-focused on the lesson, your mind wandering with thoughts of the day. The quiet hum of the building and the soft tapping of Anaxa’s chalk against the board helped you stay in the moment, though your mind had a tendency to wander.
Anaxa, ever patient, turned back from the chalkboard and caught your gaze. His one eye softened in amusement, and a slight smile tugged at his lips. “You seem distracted,” he said, his voice low but gentle.
You chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of your neck. “I guess... it’s just hard to focus with all these new concepts,” you admitted, your voice trailing off in a sheepish tone.
Anaxa’s smile widened as he stepped closer, leaning against the desk near you. “You’re not alone in that feeling,” he reassured you, his voice carrying an unexpected warmth. “Learning can be difficult, but that’s why I’m here.” He reached over and gently placed a hand on your open notebook, pointing to a particular equation. “Let’s go over it together.”
You felt your heart flutter, not from the complexity of the lesson, but from the tenderness in his words. There was something about Anaxa’s presence that made everything feel less intimidating. Maybe it was his calm demeanor or the fact that he always made sure you felt understood, but with him, learning seemed like less of a burden.
With a soft exhale, you nodded. “Okay, let’s try again.”
He leaned down a bit, his face close to yours as he explained the next step in the equation, his voice low and careful. “The key is in breaking it down. Each part has a purpose, a connection. See?” His finger traced along the page, guiding your hand over the numbers. “You’re very close, just trust the process.”
You couldn’t help but smile, feeling a little less pressure with his gentle guidance. You’d been working on this for hours, but with Anaxa, it almost felt like a quiet shared moment of peace amidst all the study. His presence was more comforting than you expected from someone with such a scholarly reputation.
When you finished the problem together, Anaxa leaned back, his smile full of quiet pride. “There you go. You did it.”
Your eyes sparkled with accomplishment, and you couldn’t suppress the small laugh of joy. “Thanks, Anaxa. I think I finally get it.”
He placed a hand over his chest, as if to modestly accept the gratitude. “It’s you who deserves the credit. I’m just here to help point the way.”
You looked up at him, meeting his gaze with a quiet warmth in your chest. “You’re a good teacher. I’m glad you’re here.”
Anaxa’s smile softened, and for a moment, he simply stared at you as if he were savoring the moment before he stood up. “I’m glad to be of assistance.” He made his way back to the board, his movements slow and purposeful.
The room grew quieter as you both returned to the lesson, but the air between you was comfortable, a gentle understanding that made everything feel just a little lighter.
And as the evening light faded and you worked through more lessons together, you couldn’t help but appreciate how much easier learning had become in his presence.

A little post about different types of OCtives
OCtive
First is OCtive itself, it can be used as a defining term or an umbrella term.
Pluralpedia defines OCtive as: “A system member whose source comes from someone’s original character, whether a character someone in the system made, or someone else's OC (such as a friend’s OC).”
The term is inclusive of system-made ocs, or external ocs made by people who are not a part of the system.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mostive
Mostive is a specific term defined as: “a system member who is an introject of a character that another member of the system created, especially for a roleplaying game or similar … The defining trait is that the character was created from scratch or close to it, rather than altered from an already existing character.”
This means the oc was made from scratch by someone inside the system as an oc, who was later introjected into the system.
Tumblr media
Autoject
“An autoject is a headmate sourced from material created by the system or by other headmates.
Original characters used for writing or roleplay often develop into autojects inadvertently or intentionally, and a parogen may be considered an autoject, as they themselves are deliberately created by their system/headmates.
Autojection may be considered an alternative to introjection, the difference being that introjects come from sources outside the system into it, and autojects are created wholly by the system.”
Autojects come from a source material made by the system, and these OCs intentionally or unintentionally are introjected into the system.
It also mentions that as an term Autojection can be seen as the opposite to introjection due to it being focused on system made sources instead of sources made outside of the system. This gives it some overlap with Brainmade headmates.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Personal thoughts
To us OCtive seems like it would be the umbrella term for all OC sourced headmates.
Mostive and Autojects are both focused on being ocs created by someone in the system and not an outside source. However, they have a slight difference. Autojects have to come from a source made by the system and be a character made by the system; Mostives only have to be an oc created by the system.
This to us suggests that mostives could be sourced from fandom as well, since they only have to be an oc. This would mean fandom OCtives could be mostives.
Meanwhile an OCtive from an original story could be both an Autoject and a Mostive.
I hope this helps clear some stuff up and helps to find some alternative terms to introject for non-traumagenic systems.
(As traumagenics ourselves we’ll keep using OCtive/introject for our own headmates. )
P.s. make sure to do your own research! We found these on pluralpedia.

I went to Joann Fabrics today, and was blessed with a father and his teen son standing in line with a cart of fabric, looking at their phone scrolling through the photos of a pattern they had bought and opened up saying things like....: "Hey dad, how do we know how much of each do we need?" "I dunno, I'm trying to figure that out....What is twill?" Shrug from kid. "You know I don't know how to use a sewing machine, buddy......I only know how to hem my pants." "Oh good you don't either, that makes two idiots" "We could try hot gluing it, dad" "yeah but....it wont like look right, hot glue is basically plastic." "Hot glue is plastic????" "yeah! where have you been?" "Do we have sewing needles at home?" ".........I have like 3 should we get more?" "We probably should look at thread, go and look for thread." "DAD! WHAT KIND OF THREAD DO WE WANT?!?" "what???" "There's so many and for so many things but they all look the same!" "Jesus fucking Christ, how did my mom do this?" "DAD! What's polyester?????" "Its plastic" "............It doesn't feel like plastic." "Hi I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Can you look at this and tell me how much I need, please?" I wish them well and I hope the kid likes his costume.

What is the Thyroid Gland?
Here is what I have learned thus far on my thyroid gland journey, the first question I asked myself is "What is the thyroid gland?". It is important to understand what the thyroid gland is, what it does, and why we need it. The thyroid gland is a small, butterfly-shaped organ located at the front of the neck, just below the Adam’s apple. It is a vital part of the endocrine system (a network of glands and organs that produce, store, and release hormones into the bloodstream. These hormones regulate essential bodily functions, including metabolism, growth, development, mood, and reproduction. Major glands of the endocrine system include the thyroid gland, pituitary gland, adrenal glands, pancreas, and reproductive glands (ovaries and testes).)
This system works closely with the nervous system to maintain homeostasis (balance in the body) by controlling processes like energy levels, stress responses, and overall physiological stability.
, which is a network of glands that produce and regulate hormones to control various bodily functions, including metabolism, growth, and energy levels.
What Does the Thyroid Do?
The thyroid gland plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism—the process by which the body converts food into energy. It produces and releases two key hormones:
Triiodothyronine (T3): A thyroid hormone that contains three iodine atoms. It is the more active form of thyroid hormone and plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism, heart rate, digestion, and body temperature. T3 is mostly derived from the conversion of T4 in the body.
Thyroxine (T4): A thyroid hormone that contains four iodine atoms. It is the primary hormone produced by the thyroid gland and serves as a precursor to T3. Once released into the bloodstream, T4 is converted into T3 in various tissues to regulate metabolism and energy production.
These hormones help regulate heart rate, body temperature, digestion, and brain function. Essentially, the thyroid acts as the body's internal thermostat, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Why Do We Need the Thyroid?
Without a properly functioning thyroid, the body can experience a range of issues. If the thyroid produces too much hormone (hyperthyroidism), it can cause symptoms like rapid heartbeat, weight loss, and anxiety. If it produces too little (hypothyroidism), it can lead to fatigue, weight gain, and depression.
Because of its significant role in overall health, keeping the thyroid balanced and healthy is essential. Regular check-ups, a nutritious diet rich in iodine and selenium, and monitoring for symptoms of thyroid dysfunction can help maintain optimal thyroid health.

Love is Like Dancing
Maybe they say dancing is like love, but maybe—just maybe—love is like dancing.
Especially in couples.
You move together, step by step, sometimes in perfect sync, sometimes stepping on each other’s toes. There’s rhythm, there’s hesitation, there’s the occasional misstep that turns into laughter or frustration, depending on the night.
You learn when to lead and when to follow. When to hold on tightly and when to let go, just enough, trusting that the other person will meet you again on the next beat. Sometimes the music is fast, dizzying, exhilarating—other times, it’s slow, tender, full of meaning in the smallest movements.
And like dancing, love isn’t just about knowing the steps. It’s about feeling them. About adapting, about reading the slightest shift in weight, about understanding that even in the most rehearsed routines, there’s always room for improvisation.
Some dances last a lifetime. Some end before the music fades. But in the end, the only way to dance is to step in, trust, and move.
And love? Love is no different.

Critical thinking and media literacy
At a time when fake news and misinformation dominate the media landscape, it is necessary to teach young people to be critical of the content they consume online to avoid being deceived. This process is known as media literacy.
Tumblr media
One way to awaken a critical spirit is to encourage people to ask questions about everything they see, hear and read.
Tumblr media
Young people’s increasing dependence on social media for news demands increasing levels of news literacy, leading to a rise in media literacy programs that aim to support youth’s abilities to critically and mindfully navigate news.

Steve is a cronically under-sharer and Eddie has a bad habit of just talking about himself which means that even years into their relationship, he’s still learning stuff about Steve.
One time, Gareth got sick right before they were set to play at The Hideout and Steve was just like, “I can do it if you can’t find someone.”
“You can play drums?”
“Yes.”
“Since when?”
“Since I was eight.”

Columbo and the Knight (1984)
put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.
Autism W!
#columbo#knight rider#art#michael knight#kitt#comic#highlight reel#crossover#telebeast#there are two small easter eggs here. can you find them. they were somehow not Entirely lost when i resized these for the public#this is what i mean when i say I Draw And It's Everyone Else's Problem. look at my INCREDIBLY niche crossover comic boy#if the knight rider fandom has like 12 people in it. how many of y'all have seen columbo#this comic is for like 4 people and me and phoenix are already two of them#niche is my specialty lets be real. weird niche obscure shit and ships nobody's paid attention to yet#not to suggest this is ship art. columbo has his wife and michael has his car lmfao#stylizing real people is EXTREMELY hard btw sorry for when they get off model. its partly a 'better imperfect than never finished' situatio#cant tell you how much i redrew some of these panels. weeps#this took me 2 weeks but i think i thumbnailed it all in may and the ideas been rollin around in my head since march#is anybody good at editing. please edit michael and columbo into an image together like its a screenshot. NOT generated. edited.#it would be so cool#ive drawn columbo a lot but i haven't drawn a lot of michaels. i was learning things about his outfit AS I WAS DOING THE DAMN#COLORS ON THIS. all the lines done. it was too late to change anything. i did all the lines and colored page by page#i realized my mistakes on like page 3. 1 and 2 were already done. it was Too Late.#imagine it though. them working a case together. switching between the more serious tone of columbo vs the goofier#action antics of michael and kitt. columbo being so impressed by Modern Technology. there's more i could say but phoenix may write#more of this crossover and i don't want to spoil it :'3#there's opportunity here though i swear. there's gold to be dug.#i like how kitt gets shading but columbo's junker peugeot doesn't. kitt looked wrong without any. columbo's car is matte and dirty#i also applied effects to this to make it look a little film-grainy and VHS like. some CRT TV vibes#the only question left is. did they put knight rider into columbo; or columbo into knight rider 🤔
