I love commenting/engaging with drug and/or medication related posts that are obviously about people using them illegally/recreationally because that’s like the only place I’ve seen other people be passionate about drug chemistry knowledge.

I talked to this one dude on Twitter yesterday about benzo dependence rates and at the end of the convo he was like “yeah I took them and woke up behind the liquor store” and it was a weird reminder that my experiences were coming from when I was 14 and the psychiatrist didn’t quite understand the sheer amount of panic attacks I was having a day when they said “take a half a klonopin every time you have one” and I ended up borderline dependent on/addicted to them and not because I use drugs recreationally

Anyway this post is me finding the r/drugs subreddit and being so excited to find other people to discuss drugs with before I realized it was just more people DOING drugs instead of the arguably much safer and more fun option of discussing their chemical structures and psychopharmacological history 🤯
