percy and jason have one very specific similarity that no one talks about: on the day of both of their sixteenth birthdays, a tragic event occured. for percy, the battle of manhattan. for jason, annabeth and percy falling into tartarus. they should bond over this.

If I wrote in my PJO/HoO OC at the very end of Mark of Athena after Annabeth and Percy fall into tartarus and Nico and the rest of the crew regroup, making a beeline for Nico, already crying, and demanding to know where his big sister is.

Just. You know. A parallel to The Titans Curse.

So, for your consideration:

In a hypothetical Mark of Athena/House of Hades adaptation, this plays during Percy and Annabeth's descent into Tartarus. <- yes i did steal this from the "spencer" trailer

I just got so emotional thinking about our little pjo the show babies as little adults, and they're hanging off a ledge, and Percy telling her he can't lose her again, because all he's ever done is lose her and get her back and lose her and get her back and he's done. he won't do it again. and yeah I'm crying.

maybe we'll never even get to see that, maybe they won't ever make enough seasons for us to see it. but I would cry if we did.

also I would DIE if they alter Titans Curse and give us Percy catching her before she falls into the pit with the Manticore, and her telling him to let go, but he says never, only she does fall because she slips. Then he's about to jump in after her, but Artimis stops him, and he never forgives himself. Until we see him in Mark of Athena, telling her he'll never let go of her again 🥺

The fact that the reason he needed to kill someone off the story was because it wasn’t realistic for first responders to be alive when faced with high levels of danger every day for eight seasons in a show where there was a shark on the freeway, where a child landed a godamn plane because he’s played video games before, where tornado bees were a thing, where a character gets a sliced throat while pregnant and both her and the baby survive is well and truly the worst fucking take you could’ve ever come up with and I for one have never heard a stupidest fucking thing with my own ears on my entire 25 years in this planet

i love seeing people think about all the things percy did for annabeth but we forget a lot of the things she did for him. she trusted percy in SoM to keep her safe while she listened to the sirens song. she gave up immortality as a hunter for him in TTC, long before he did the same in TLO. she broke the rules to sit with percy at dinner in BotL. she entrusted her own quest to percy, even though she had been hoping for it all her life. she was the one speaking at his funeral, not grover, not chiron, she was the one declaring her feelings for him. for hells sake she took a knife for him because she ‘had a feeling’ it was important. she was the one counting down the hours he had been missing is TLH and was the first person off of the Argo II in MoA because she was so worried about percy. she is just as in love with percy as he is with her and the fandom just doesn’t show it.
