AITA for not wanting my roommate to use my toothbrush?

Hi reddit. A few days ago I (NB27) was getting ready for work when I caught my roommate (NB27) in the bathroom brushing their teeth with my toothbrush. I got really mad at them for this, but they didn't think it was a big deal and said I was overreacting.

Their logic was that because they were my exact duplicate all our germs are basically the same anyway so it's basically like just one person brushing their teeth twice. But my opinion was that we became "different people" one year ago, when they woke up in my bed beside me one morning without any explanation. But this made them mad because they said from their perspective I was the one who woke up in their bed one morning without any explanation, and they accused me of claiming to be the original again. Things got really heated after this but neither of us was able to kill the other because our abilities were perfectly matched so we basically just declared stalemate like usual.

This whole ordeal had been especially disconcerting to me because up until this point there have been no real points of divergence in our personalities. Every time we have made a decision we would both make the same choice, all of our opinions and beliefs have been identical, and any time we converse it's difficult because we keep trying to say the same thing at the same time. So for us to disagree on anything is unexpected let alone something this big. I was hoping to use this as a clue to help prove I was the original but unfortunately none of my friends or family can remember my stance on toothbrush clone sharing so I was out of luck there.

Anyway they still keep using my toothbrush even though there's another one there because they "like the blue one more than the purple one" but the blue one is mine!!! I really don't think its unreasonable to ask them to use a different toothbrush here, especially since I was here first. AITA?

really wanted to keep my modding this on the down low, largely cos idk!! i just wanted the focus to be on webgott and the event, but also bc i knew this whole thing couldn't have come together because of a singular person, or even moreso, a singular interpretation of the ship. so i felt the distance was necessary. though i am proud, in a small way (im allowing myself a lil' bit of it), of being able to create a bunch of things for a pair i've fallen in love with, and for a group of people who hold so much affection for them.

Miraculous Recovery | Simeon x Reader

Simeon approached your bedroom door and knocked lightly. “___?” He called anxiously.

“Sim…” you croaked weakly and he stepped into your room to see you a sniveling mess.

“___,” he cooed sadly and frowned. He slowly made his way over to you, stepping over the hundreds of tissues that’d missed your trash can.

The bed creaked as he sat down beside you and pressed his hand against your forehead. “You’re burning up,” he commented sorrowfully. He looked around the room and saw a rag on your nightstand.

“Let me go wet this for you,” he offered and quickly left to wash it under cold water. He rang out the excess water and paced back to you. He laid it on your forehead and you smiled weakly.

He frowned and with his gloves on quickly gathered the tissues into the trash and ran to switch out the trash bags. Your eyelids fluttered shut and by the time he returned, you were already asleep.

He smiled, glad you were temporarily relieved of your flu. As you slept he continued picking up your room, he even sneakily switched your blankets. A few hours later you woke up to a cold breeze on your face and you smiled in relief. You glanced around the room and Simeon heard you stir and got up from the table where he’d been reading.

“___, how are you feeling now?”

“A little better,” you rasped and he shook his head.

“Not by the sound of it,” he disagreed and felt your head was just as warm as it had been an hour ago.

He glanced around the room as if you were being watched and hummed to himself. He knelt and moved your hair out of your face.

“I’m not really supposed to do this but…since it’s you,” he whispered and kissed your forehead. You blushed and instantly cheered up, but that wasn’t all. A warmth flowed through your body and as it left your throat no longer ached, your fatigue was gone and your nose was clear.

You sat straight up and stared at Simeon. He could do that the whole time? Why didn’t he?

“Simeon?”

He held a finger to his lips, “we aren’t really supposed to interfere with minor colds,” he admitted and you nodded and heard footsteps outside the door.

“Quickly, lie back down,” he hushed and you nodded and laid back down with a grimace. Simeon chuckled as Lucifer opened the door quietly with a bowl of soup.

“How are they?” Lucifer asked quietly and behind him, Mammon, Leviathan, and Asmodeus’s heads peaked in.

Simeon shook his head, “not much has changed, I’ll keep looking after them for now.”

Lucifer nodded and thanked Simeon, handing him the soup.

Lucifer sat down to talk with Simeon for a while as you pretended to sleep. When the coast was clear Simeon grinned mischievously, “They’re all gone.”

You rolled over in bed and chuckled, “Why am I pretending to be sick still?”

Simeon tilted his head innocently, “Oh, you know… because demons don’t know how to properly treat sick humans, so…”

“So you get to be here alone with me as long as I’m sick.”

Simeon modded and you laughed but covered your mouth, hoping it hadn’t been too loud.

Simeon handed you the soup and sat by your bed.

“Now that you’ve miraculously recovered, we can spend the night however we want,” he whispered and you grinned.

“Are you sure you’re an angel?”

Simeon shrugged and shook his head, “well, who knows really?”

You laughed at his casual response and he took a moment to look you over. Your hair was a little tangled and your clothes were messy from the days you’d spent with a cold.

“You may still be covered in germs…” he pointed out, “why don’t we go wash you off?” He suggested and you grinned slyly.

“Doctor’s orders.” you agreed and followed him to the bathroom for a thorough cleansing.

Today I learned that Factorio was at least partly inspired by modded Minecraft, which really makes a lot of sense when I think about it. I don't like Minecraft, but there are so many germs of good ideas within it. One of the questions that I've had for a long time is "where is Minecraft But Good" and I think the answer to that is complicated, but at least one of the answers is "a lot of the indies who were inspired by Minecraft made games that don't wear their inspiration on their sleeve".

I’m Aiden. My best friend Oliver suggested for me to make a blog here, even though he doesn’t have one himself-

I asked my parents about it, and they said as long as I didn’t use the phone around my mortal little siblings and attract monsters, I’m good!

Here’s some information about me:

Full name: Aiden Cathal Storm. No, I am not a child or legacy of Zeus, Jupiter or any storm deity. To my knowledge. I’ll have to ask Lester or Mia about that. Or my parents. Or Mia’s dad. Actually scratch that I’m still not over him trying to turn me into a dove.

Pronouns: They/them!

Age: I’m fifteen. I only really found out about the godly stuff a few months ago.

Godly Relations: My mom is Eris (as much as I don’t want her to be-), and I’m a legacy of Salus. If you don’t know who that is, I don’t blame you. She’s the Roman goddess of health, prosperity and public welfare. Yeahhh, really conflicting domains. Mortal family: My dad, Oscar, he’s a college professor. He’s pretty chill, so I have no idea why the goddess of chaos liked him. My step-mom, Everest, she’s a daughter of Khione and a high school teacher. And my little siblings, Artie and Orion, they’re both really amazing. They’re twins, both in kindergarten. Artie wants to be a veterinarian and Orion loves to tell stories!

Likes: Greek and Roman mythology (though I liked it more before finding out I was apart), classic literature, sewing, reading, fashion, knitting, apple pie, chocolate, my friends, sculpting.

Dislikes: Stress, anxiety, liars, germs, bugs, disorganization, but also when things are a bit too calm?? Sci-fi isn’t really my thing, and I hate coffee most of the time. I prefer tea.

Well, I guess it does make sense why Mia and Oliver don’t have accounts. (We share a phone. Mr. D only let us bring one and Chiron doesn’t know.)

Also, Mia having a tumblr account would lead to her immediately finding Reyna and Hylla (Mia used to work for Circe too) and then proceed to bother the two with romance novels she liked.

Oliver would just post about Spider-Man?? He’s a champion of Athena so I dunno how that works, but then again his dad is the god of beekeeping, so maybe that love of bees extends to all bugs? Eughh. I really don’t like bugs.

Heyyy, mod here! Aiden is my RR-verse (mostly TOA if I’m being honest) OC, and they will absolutely be a unintentional menace (their luck is similar to Bennet from Genshin Impact, essentially) but they’re really well meaning!

They’re the protagonist of a fic I’m working on called Aiden Storm and the Eagle of Zeus, though it’s been a long time since I’ve worked on it and I’m probably gonna edit it a bit, since timeline doesn’t match up and also I’m rewriting the RR-verse as a side project so I wanna make a version for canon and a version for my rewrite.

Which honestly shouldn’t be that difficult compared to rewriting a several book saga-

They do believe in the Steven Universe logic of befriending everyone and they will attempt to befriend Octavian and Luke role play accounts. Mia and Oliver are also from the aforementioned fic, daughter of Eros and champion of Athena + son of Aristaeus. While I love the Olympian children protagonists, I wanted minor god kids to take the lead for once.
