considering nate & maggie are said to have worked together sometimes, collaborating to discover art fraud pre-leverage… i’d like to imagine that maggie has at least heard of the leverage team members in passing. she wouldn’t recognise them in a crowd, but she’s familiar with big names in the art theft & forgery world. she’d have SOME expectations of what they were like. and then in the second david job, she’s meeting them and they’re. them. like-

what she knows about parker: worlds greatest thief, seems more interested in banks but certainly an art thief, too. nate says she has a reputation for being "insane".

what she assumes about parker: probably does some great grifting to get into those museums and vaults, been a world class thief for ages so she’d be in her late 30s at least by season 1. dangerous, formidable, scary, do not approach.

what she very quickly learns about parker: is a duckling who has imprinted on her

when i was 19 or 20 maybe i played D&D for the first time with a small group of nerds who all knew each other bc we all used to work at the same shitty pub at some point or another. close to the end of the campaign, after the session had concluded for the night we were all chatting with the DM about the enemy we had fought which led to a conversation about Power Word spells and silly ways to use them ("power word: explode" someone said, which isnt how power words are supposed to Work, i think; youre just supposed to say the word (ie "explode") and it just Has Power. however this format is VASTLY funnier and so that is what we stuck with for the whole evening and forevermore) and at one point i was like checked out bc it was past my bedtime and i clocked just in time for the DM to point his finger in front of him and say with full gravitas, "Power Word: Autism"

and it wasnt directed AT anyone, he was just looking amd gesturing forward, but i was standing across from him and so part of my lizard brain has always insisted he was aiming it At Me

years later i finally sat up in bed one day like Do I Have Autism??? and like. as soon as i started truly investigating the subject it became Extremely Apparent that the signs had been there my whole life. however because i didnt Find Out until then, in my mind it Didnt Exist until then, and so even though i Know thats not what actually happened, part of my brain will forever insist that my first dungeon master shot me with the Autism Beam, and it Made Me Autistic

I still can't get over how Eliot and Hardison do their "secret" handshake- even though Eliot is miffed that Hardison ate his sandwhich.

I still can't get over how Parker calls Eliot "Sparky," and he's scared enough to rip open his apple- because he actually thinks Parker somehow got a razor blade in it.

I still can't get over how Eliot tells Hardison that he won't help him if he goes to far with "Ice Man," and when Hardison calls him out on it- Eliot blames Parker.

I still can't get over how Hardison comes to Eliot when he needs help brushing up on wine.

I still can't get over how Parker goes to Eliot when she's looking for something to love and he teaches her to love food.
