Hi 👋 Can I request headcanons for Perceptor from Transformers: Cyberverse with a Cybertronian (gender-neutral) [Romantic] who is a former Decepticon? They defected because they weren't truly evil, just a good person who ended up on the wrong side. They joined the Autobots, and Perceptor eventually fell in love with the reader?

ᯓᡣ𐭩 The two of you ended up talking for quite a bit due to proximity. You had similar skills, your fields benefited from one another, it only made sense to be co-workers. Perceptor wasn't too happy about it, and wasn't afraid to let it be known

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Despite his tendency to bicker, he was genuinely helpful. His scientific proficiency helped you make great lengths in your own studies, even if he tended to nitpick your methods

ᯓᡣ𐭩 With time, your presence began grating on him less and less. You worked diligently, and put honest effort into everything you did. All of these were things he could admire, and he began softening up his biting comments

ᯓᡣ𐭩 His overtly sophisticated ways of speaking and addressing each situation reminded you of some Decepticon scientists. You told him such, and he inquired if he was better company. Something warm settled in his chassis when you said yes

ᯓᡣ𐭩 What came as a rather significant sign of his attitude changing was when he willingly shared his notes with you. He passed you the datapad, zooming in on what you needed to see. He had been so secretive before, that it wasn't lost on you how much this meant to him

ᯓᡣ𐭩 Short study sessions became long talks far past work hours. Not seeing one another until the next day became drinks and regular hangouts. A cold and reserved scientist had become a softened friend before you knew it

ᯓᡣ𐭩 He knew the very evening where his warmth for you melted into a deeply enamored infatuation. After a night of a shared dinner, you'd fallen into recharge while leaning against him. He gently rubbed your cheek with his thumb, admiring you leaning into his hold. He couldn't remember the last time he saw you with any animosity, and how could he? You're the most precious thing he'd seen in ages

During the invasion Hot Rod has a seizure. He's scared and confused and Soundwave holds him.

hot rod has a seizure because he can’t access his meds because of the invasion and Ratchet is stuck in the loop so he really doesn’t have any back up aside from Percy who doesn’t know about it.

Soundwave knows what a seizure is so he knows to hold Hot rod down and keep his head still.

But he doesn’t know how else to help.

He takes him to Perceptor when the coast is clear and hopes the smartest mech on cybertron can help.

Percy of course can help but it’ll take time to gather all the medicine needed.

In the meantime Hot rod is stuck on berth rest to recover

Okay, first off, I just wanna say, thank you so much to @spiderscribe for picking up my very loose scribble and taking the jump. She's an absolute champ, and I IMPLORE you to read her writing. She did a knockout job on the fic, and guaranteed, these two pieces wouldn't have been so elaborate without her. If you're a fan of deadceptor, parallels, lovers to enemies to apocalyptic teammates to ???s, I'm sure you'll find that and more in there.

The background for the supermarket was a MASSIVE undertaking. I ended up blurring it in the final to keep the dream-like quality, but there is a lot happening there! Most of the time I spent on the background was (jokingly) complaining though.

Anyone who works retail will know the agony of customer-misplaced stock. The little canisters of energon additives seem like prime candidates to be placed willy-nilly.

The little warning sign... My favorite soda, apple sidra, has a carcinogen warning, so I'm familiar with it. It was slightly surprising to me that those warnings are not countrywide, despite the fact that they very clearly say "California Proposition 65", and well. Not something else, like "Federal" or whatever.

The bags of nuts and bolts below, I asked several people what flavor they would be, and I suppose I failed in my job, because I wanted the purple to be the "regular" flavor, and the green to be the "sour". But grape and lemon-lime work as well!

The tub is full of rust-sticks. I have no idea if that came across. My friends kept calling the individually wrapped ones slim jims, which I mean, I guess!

The car batteries... My idea was that they were similar to shots, in a way? So that's how I ended up with a battery with enough terminals to rival an international airport. It's also sunset-coloured, because, I don't know, that's what Party Flavor is to me.

Okay. The second illustration. This one was a headache, mostly due to my own lack of planning, and the fact that I lost the file for... basically everything I did, including the above illustration. So it was a bit of a rush job.

The background bots started off as these very vague silhouettes, which I'm a little proud of. Look at how nice and somewhat readable they are! Okay, now what if I ruined it? What? You don't like that? That's rather unfortunate, because that's what I proceeded to do. In fact, if I take off all.. 10 or something adjustment layers, they look like this:

My process went: Shadow block> Fill rest of form> Color randomiser> Copy and skew (to populate background)> Hue adjustment> Gradient map> Fill Light> Chromatic aberration> Vignette> Levels> Curves.

The.... Magenta cube is there because due to the nature of the color randomiser, the foot had a high value, and stuck out like nobody's business in the end.

Here's what it would look like without the cube. Begone, distracting white blob! (I didn't have to worry about the lava arm because Percy happened to cover it up. What a save! But if he didn't then... there would have been a second cube.)

Basically, it was a mess. But... at least it came out fine in the end! I hope!

I'd love to have speedpaints on hand, but I was switching between CSP and PS for a good majority of the work.

I'd say that's it for these two pieces! I actually have more, but those demand more time. I'm much slower at doing inks than I am at painting, but I hope you'll get to see them soon.

back in early 2023 I took the MCAT!! and since this was when I started getting into transformers, I drew a lil motivator for each practice test that I took. here they all are :)

Bit of an angsty Cyberverse idea

Soundwave is walking through the halls of their little makeshift base trying to think of a plan on how to free his fellow Decepticons from the Quintisons. He is lost in thought until he hears what sounds like Hot Rod talking with Perceptor in a nervous tone. Being naturally curious he hugs the wall as he slowly makes his way to where the two Autobots are, he has to be extra carefully due to Percy's hightened senses.

There he over hears Hot Rod talking about 'how he wasn't ready for this huge responsibility and what to when Optimus finds out'. Strange...Soundwave assumed that the red speedster was capable to lead despite being a stubborn bolt head with a foolishly pretty smile. Ruffling his plating Soundwave listings for a bit longer hoping to get the full story, what he hears next makes his energon run cold.

"I-I can't do this Carrier! I'm not ready for a sparkling let alone to bring one during all of" Hot Rod waved his servos in the as to gesture the whole of Cybertron. "This!"

Perceptor meanwhile had simply stood still listening as he gently patted the speedster's shoulder with his servo. "I understand my fire, but have you told...'him' of the news yet?" Percy had to bite his glossa to keep himself from spitting not so kind words about his bittie's berth partner.

Hot Rod gave a long sigh letting his frame sag with dreariness. "No, not yet. I'm not even sure he wants to even be apart of the sparkling's life..." He found himself unable to look at his Carrier anymore. "Why do I always choose the worst mechs to fall for?"

Perceptor gave a soft hum as he pulled Hot Rod into a warm hug trying to sooth him. "Call it a family curse...I've never had the best luck with my own partners. I'm truly sorry my fire"

Hot Rod found him burying his face into his Carriers shoulder as he quietly wept. Meanwhile Soundwave felt his plating burn with both anger and confusion, why, why, why! Why couldn't he understand these feelings burning deep inside his spark or why someone anyone could treat someone as sweet and kind as Hot Rod so cruelly?! He wanted to run up towards the speedster and apologize, beg do anything if it meant that Hot Rod would allow him near his future sparkling. Pits! Perceptor can shoot him blanky in the face or spark in order to prove himself worthy as a Sire all he wants is to see that sweet face smile and hear the laughter of their sparkling...but these are just foolish feelings and a wish that will never come true.

Oh soundwave you dummy!

Go to your mate! Go to him!
