My Arthur Lester with an updated design yipee!!!

You may notice the moon theme, WELL! i had this idea of incorporating a symbol i assigned to malev characters into their designs. Arthur is the moon, John is the sun and Oscar is the star.

@teafromthemicrowave gave me the idea of arthur and john being the sun and moon and then I added oscar to be the star. This is the greatest thing ever ash you wont understandddd THANK YOUU FOR THE IDEA

The scar on his cheek, neck and his torn hear resembles a crescent moon shape

The buttons on his coat are different phases of the moon

The chained pins on his tie, represents the three. Notice how the star (oscar) and sun (john) are only linked together thanks to the moon (arthur) ...thats the best i could explain i hope that makes sense

the glasses is not new, in fact my very first drawing of arthur have glasses!! I removed it when i realized he can't have had it but now that @percymawce-arts also interpreted him to wear glasses, I felt comfortable to have glasses for my own Arthur's design again now too 💞

how much do the demigods really know about Percy?

Frank and Hazel first knew him as just a guy who showed up with a goddess on his back. everything he does from that point onward is equally bizarre, and certainly impressive, but perhaps not exactly legend-worthy. by the time they’ve won the battle against Polybotes at New Rome, their experience with him confirms he’s a badass, but the hints and jokes he drops about his past can’t all be real, right?

Jason, Leo, and Piper would have been showered in stories at Camp Half-Blood. did you know, Percy fought and killed a Kindly One and the Minotaur before he even got to Camp the first time? did you know, he was the first one on our side to suspect Kronos was rising? did you know, he revealed who poisoned Thalia’s Tree? did you know, he and Annabeth held the sky? did you know he crashed his own funeral? did you know he made a hurricane?

did you know, did you know, did you know?

but how many of Percy’s stories do the campers really know? what did Annabeth and Percy keep to themselves in their retellings? do they know Luke forced Percy to fight to the death in an arena? were they told Percy actively chose to be the subject of the prophecy to protect Nico, who almost certainly hated him at that point? do they know Percy was the reason Mount Saint Helens erupted? do they know he fought Hades and his army, and won?

the campers all think Percy is a legend, but when they find out there’s more? that’s when they start to think of him as a god.

“percyyyy…” you sing-song, entering the kitchen almost sneakily in hopes no other campers caught you on your way here.

but it was pouring rain and nine o’clock at night so it isn’t very likely anyone was outside. you steal a quick glance to percy by the stove before wringing your dripping hair into the sink.

“I can’t wait for april to be over. I miss the sun.”

you use the hair tie around your wrist to do your hair up in the messiest ponytail until fully dried. you walk back over to the stove, leaning your back against the counter to face percy as he cooks.

“successful?”

“I finished a whole four pages!”

percy nods. “well, sweet girl, at least you’re making some progress there.”

you giggle and turn around, facing the stove. “watcha making?”

“non-blue grilled cheese— surprisingly.”

you kind of liked the obsession with blue foods.

“you’re a changed man. proud of you.”

“this is a one-time thing, I’m not that weak.”

percy smiles and uses his free arm to snake around your waist, pulling you flush to his side. the sound of sizzling infiltrates the kitchen. you inhale and, with sleepiness, nuzzle your face against percy’s bicep.

it’s awfully domestic.

in the summer you’ll leave camp. in the summer you’ll be married. in the summer you’ll move into percy’s montauk house together.

you brush those thoughts away and focus on the present.

“how much longer?”

“patience, sweet girl. I’m trying to burn yours how you like.”

a blush arises on your cheeks. “you’re sweet.”

“I try to be.”

“you are.” you rise onto your tippy-toes and press a kiss to his cheek, latching an arm around his arm to steady yourself. you feel, similarly, as percy’s arm flexes tightly around your waist.

“I cut up some strawberries, too. though now that I think about it I might get in trouble for that.”

“not if mr. d knows it was you.”

you slip from his arms with ease and search the counters until finding the bowl of said strawberries. you eat the slices quickly as you walk back to the stove.

“want some?“

percy turns off the stove (very responsible of him!) and takes a handful of slices in his hand, shoving them in his mouth ravenously. you grimace and clutch the bowl to your chest.

“percy,” you scold. “you made a mess of yourself.”

“gonna clean me up?”

you furrow your brows, placing down the bowl. “you’re not my three year old child.”

“but you’re tempted.”

you scowl but comply. you start by kissing/licking the juice from his chin and bottom lip. surprisingly still delicious as new. then, you drag him to the sink and rinse off his now sticky hand.

“better?”

“very. thank you, sweet girl.” he goes to press an an urgent kiss to your forehead, nearly causing you to stumble backwards if not for percy’s swiftness in catching you with a hand to the small of your back. “I know I’m flattering but you don’t need to fall at my presence.”

you squint your eyes at him. “shut the fuck up. let’s just eat.”

and eating, you both surely did.
