The Boldness of the Righteous
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. 10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way shall himself fall into his own pit, but the upright shall possess good things. 11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit, but the poor man that hath understanding searcheth him out. 12 When righteous men rejoice, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves. 13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. — Proverbs 28:9-13 | Third Millennium Bible (TMB) Third Millennium Bible, New Authorized Version, Copyright 1998 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. Proverbs and the Internet
Here is my hand-picked selection of proverbs that I felt had special applicability to life on the internet, and their application. Under the cut.
Proverbs 12:16
New International Version
16 Fools show their annoyance at once,
but the prudent overlook an insult.
Proverbs 15:18
English Standard Version
Proverbs 16:32
18 A hot-tempered man stirs up strife,
but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.
English Standard Version
Application: A lot of times if you simply don’t react, or don’t give people the dramatic reaction they are looking for, you can prevent a fight. Don’t be too easily goaded. You can end a lot of things by not being too easily goaded.
32 Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
___
Proverbs 3:30
New International Version
Proverbs 16:28 ESV
30 Do not accuse anyone for no reason—
when they have done you no harm.
A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.
Proverbs 20:19 ESV
Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with a simple babbler.
Proverbs 14:25
English Standard Version
Application: Is your circle of the internet one where people go around starting “drama” by telling lies about others? Do you know someone who does this? Get away from them. Have you done this? Think before you accuse someone of something.
25 A truthful witness saves lives,
but one who breathes out lies is deceitful.
___
Proverbs 15:1
English Standard Version
Application: By being calm you can prevent people from lashing back at you and escalating. You can even de-escalate if you keep calm.
15 A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
___
Proverbs 18:12
English Standard Version
Proverbs 15:33
12 Before destruction a man's heart is haughty,
    but humility comes before honor.
English Standard Version
Application: “Humility comes before honor”- you don’t have to be right or appear to be right. That won’t help you before God. It’s pride if you have to win every argument, if you have to be right every time.
33 The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
    and humility comes before honor.
___
Proverbs 13:20
English Standard Version
Proverbs 14:7
20 Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
English Standard Version
Application: Just leave that toxic message board. Are you on a sector of the internet where they encourage you to hate other people in your life, and are dragging you into foolish mindsets, encouraging people to more and more extreme ideology, stirring up anxiety, etc? Get out of there.
7 Leave the presence of a fool,
for there you do not meet words of knowledge.
___
Proverbs 14:15
English Standard Version
Application: It’s important to find sources and to check if things are true before you spread them! Don’t believe that something is true just because you read it on the internet.
15 The simple believes everything,
but the prudent gives thought to his steps.
___
Proverbs 10:23
English Standard Version
Proverbs 15:21
23 Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool,
but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding.
English Standard Version
Proverbs 26:18-19
21 Folly is a joy to him who lacks sense,
but a man of understanding walks straight ahead.
English Standard Version
Application: It is neither safe nor wise to hang out with the type of people on the internet who think that trolling, provoking other people, and stirring up trouble is fun. Whether it’s going to a different website to provoke and cause chaos to the people there, or posting flame bait, or leading people on with various forms of deception for entertainment, God hates this kind of behavior.
18 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death
19 is the man who deceives his neighbor
and says, “I am only joking!”
___
Proverbs 29:9
English Standard Version
Application: DON’T FEED THE TROLLS
9 If a wise man has an argument with a fool,
the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.
___
Proverbs 9:7-9
New International Version
Proverbs 23:9
7 Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults;
whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse.
8 Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you;
rebuke the wise and they will love you.
9 Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.
English Standard Version
Application: Call the papers, somebody on the internet is wrong!
9 Do not speak in the hearing of a fool,
for he will despise the good sense of your words.
Seriously, don’t feed the trolls.  You don’t need to write an essay to explain to every wrong person why they are wrong. Unless they are sincerely interested in listening to you, it will fall on deaf ears. Ask yourself if this person seems like they would actually benefit from being corrected.
___
Proverbs 12:15
New International Version
Proverbs 13:10
15 The way of fools seems right to them,
but the wise listen to advice.
New International Version
Proverbs 15:32
10 Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
English Standard Version
Application: Are you listening when other people tell you that you are out of line?
32 Whoever ignores instruction despises himself,
but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.
___
Proverbs 15:28
English Standard Version
Application: Notice how the righteous “ponders”, but the wicked simply “pours out”. Think before you type something!
28 The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer,
but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
___
Proverbs 10:19
English Standard Version
Proverbs 17:27-28
19 When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.
English Standard Version
Application: Don’t post too much, don’t be easily angered. The more you type the more likely you are to say something wrong. Don’t be easily provoked. Even if you don’t have anything intelligent to say, if you withhold comment, you can even have a reputation for being smart.
27 Whoever restrains his words has knowledge,
and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.
28 Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
___
Proverbs 11:12
New International Version
Application: Don’t name-call people on the internet.
12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense,
but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.
___
Proverbs 21:24
English Standard Version
Proverbs 22:10
24 “Scoffer” is the name of the arrogant, haughty man
    who acts with arrogant pride.
English Standard Version
Proverbs 26:20-21
10 Drive out a scoffer, and strife will go out,
and quarreling and abuse will cease.
English Standard Version
20 For lack of wood the fire goes out,
and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases.
21 As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire,
so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.
___
Application:
Just ban that guy from the server.
Is there one person who seems to be constantly causing issues? Is it because they’re too full of themselves and can’t stop making trouble? Just kick him out, seriously.
Proverbs 21:11
English Standard Version
Application: So you had to ban that guy from the server. If his misdeed was public, it can benefit others to explain why he got blocked and what happened so that other people don’t do the same thing. When troublemakers don’t just get away with things, other people can benefit from the negative example.
11 When a scoffer is punished, the simple becomes wise;
when a wise man is instructed, he gains knowledge.
___
Proverbs 16:21
English Standard Version
Application: Or: “You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar”.
21 The wise of heart is called discerning,
and sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.
___
Proverbs 18:2
English Standard Version
Application: I feel like this one doesn’t even need any comment.
2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion.
___
Proverbs 18:13
English Standard Version
Application: Read! Don’t just tl;dr something and then react. Don’t just react to what you thought someone said.
13 If one gives an answer before he hears,
it is his folly and shame.
___
Proverbs 18:17
English Standard Version
Application: Don’t just believe some one-sided callout post on face value. You should always listen to the other side of the story before you decide who is right and who is wrong.
17 The one who states his case first seems right,
until the other comes and examines him.
___
Proverbs 29:11
English Standard Version
Application: Don’t overshare on the internet. Some things you need to keep to yourself. Don't just say every thought that runs through your head.
11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back.
___
Proverbs 20:3
English Standard Version
Proverbs 26:17
3 It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling.
English Standard Version
Application: Fools be quarreling. When you happen to see two people fighting, don’t get involved! It’s like jumping into a dogfight. Why would you do that? You literally have no dog in this fight.
17 Whoever meddles in a quarrel not his own
is like one who takes a passing dog by the ears.
___
Proverbs 25:11-12
English Standard Version
Application: None of this is to say you should never say anything on the internet. There are many times it is quite wise and beneficial to say something or even correct people.
11 A word fitly spoken
is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.
12 Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold
is a wise reprover to a listening ear.
___
Proverbs 26:4-5
English Standard Version
Application: These two proverbs contrast each other to make a point. Sometimes someone is being so stupid that to answer them is to stoop to their level. You simply shouldn’t even dignify that kind of garbage with a response.
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly,
lest you be like him yourself.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly,
lest he be wise in his own eyes.
On the other hand, sometimes someone is being so foolish that you just have to reply to them, otherwise they will get away with it.
You should always be asking yourself “is it worth it to actually engage with this? Is it degrading to me? Will anyone benefit if I do?”

how do you know for sure you won't end up in hell?
Hello! I saw your other message assuring me not to worry about responding because of the grieving process. Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness—it truly means a lot. May God bless your sweet soul. 🩷
It’s comforting to know that, because of God’s promises in the Bible, there’s assurance that we won’t end up in Hell. Many verses speak of salvation and bring peace. Sometimes, due to severe trauma, trusting in that love and safety can be difficult, but it’s a journey to trust in what God has promised.
When doubt about salvation or God’s promises arises, the best remedy is prayer and spending time in the Word. Trusting God fully and consistently is one of the hardest parts of the Christian walk, and it’s a lifelong journey. If doubt about salvation occurs, please know that it’s a normal part of the walk and can be overcome.
This world is filled with evil, and Satan continuously works to shake that faith. We face attacks, criticism, and feelings of shame and unworthiness. Yet, the Bible reveals God’s character, and when we trust in what He has said, there is assurance of salvation.
I’ll share some Scripture that speaks to our salvation under the cut, so as not to flood anyone’s timeline. I hope this can be helpful, beloved!
Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
—Acts 16:30-31 (ESV)
More Scripture of salvation assurance below:
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
—1 John 5:13 (ESV)
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
—Romans 10:9-10 (ESV)
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
—Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
—John 3:16 (ESV)
For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!
—Job 19:25-27 (ESV)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
—1 John 1:9 (ESV)
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
—Proverbs 28:13 (ESV)
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
—John 5:24 (ESV)
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
—John 10:27-28 (ESV)
Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
—Romans 5:9-10 (ESV)
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
—Romans 8:16-17 (ESV)
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.
—Romans 8:28-30 (ESV)
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
—2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV)
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
—Ephesians 1:13-14 (ESV)
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
—Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me.
—2 Timothy 1:12 (ESV)
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
—Titus 3:4-7 (ESV)
Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
—Hebrews 7:25 (ESV)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
—1 Peter 1:3-5 (ESV)
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
—1 John 3:1-3 (ESV)

Intimacy with God
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=======================
+ Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure
=======================
VERSE OF THE DAY
======================
+ 2 John 1:9 Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.
=======================
SUBJECT: Intimacy with God
======================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM HAVING INTIMACY WITH GOD
I AM HOLDING ON TO GOD
I AM HEARING HIS VOICE
I AM NOT ALONE
======================
READ TIME: 8 Minutes
======================
THOUGHTS:
======================
When I was little, my mother made sure that my siblings and I were actively involved in church. She taught Sunday school, and my dad was the deacon. They were both dedicated to the church, and my mother made sure to teach us the word of God and about Christ. As I grew, I became very knowledgeable about the Bible and could quote verses easily. However, looking back, I realize that I didn't truly have a relationship with God. I knew how to pray and praise Him, but as I got older, I was lured by the ways of the world. I no longer wanted to read my Bible or pray. As I distanced myself from the church and indulged in worldly things, I didn't realize what I was giving up. I lost my relationship with God because I strayed away.
But now, I have learned that having a relationship with Him is more important than just having knowledge of His word.
It's easy to get caught up in the distractions and temptations of the world, especially when the enemy plants thoughts in our minds that make us think we're missing out on something better. We may start to wonder if there's more out there or if we're not fully living our lives. These thoughts can lead us to push away from God and put our relationship with Him on the back burner. But what we don't realize is that when we distance ourselves from God, we're also distancing ourselves from the very relationship that brings us joy and fulfillment. It's impossible to have both the world and God, and it's important to actively pursue a relationship with Him to truly know and understand Him. So, let's not be deceived by the enemy's lies and instead choose to actively know and follow God, for He is the only path to true happiness and fulfillment.
The word of God says, but those who remain in the teachings of Christ have a relationship with the father and son, if we remain in him, we will have a dedicated relationship with him because we are doing what we must do to keep one which is reading our word praying to mediate and other things but the moment we stop, and we wander away that’s when we become tempted and tainted by the deeds of the flesh.
Proverbs 28:!3 Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
The word says if we hide our sins, we will not prosper; we can't grow in Christ if we are hiding our sins from him, which is pointless because he knows what we are doing before we even say it because God is omnipresent. We forget that when we sin and hide our dirt, we think if we hide it from family or a friend, then we are good, but what about God? The word goes on to say confess and forsake the sins. You will have mercy every day; we need to confess our sins to God and show him who we are and be real with him; we have to start being real with God about everything and not just on good things; a lot of us have this way about ourselves that we don’t want to tell God the bad things but this not letting him in its pushing him away, we must be active in our relationship.
When you’re in a relationship, are you faithful? Do you check in on the one you’re dating? Do you tell them things about you never will tell anyone else? Are you loving and caring? Do you spend alone time with them, being intimate with them because you know they like that? What do you do in your relationship to bring you two closer????
Whatever you do in a relationship with others is the same way you should be in a relationship with Christ. He loves alone time; he loves when we tell him things no one else knows; he loves intimacy, and intimacy isn’t hard to do, but it’s hard when we find it a waste of time; it’s hard when we aren’t willing to be close to him, it’s hard when we aren’t willing busy with other things, our relationship with God should be something we work on day to today to show him we truly care about him, intimacy is” a deep feeling of closeness, connection, and emotional vulnerability shared between two people, where they feel safe to share their thoughts openly,”
Do you have this with God? David did
* Psalm. 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

* 1 Kings 15:5 Because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite

* Psalm 27:1 Of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid
David made sure he showed love to God in all that he did that was in his walk, in his speech, and in the way he handled things, but he made sure whatever he did was pleasing to God; that’s why he was known as the man after Gods own heart because his life was an example of that and sure he had ups and downs, and he went off course. Still, he loved God so much that he changed when he did something wrong.
*** Today, we delved into the concept of having a relationship with God and how our actions can make Him happy. It is a common struggle for many of us to find true happiness in our lives because we tend to hide our flaws and shortcomings from God instead of being genuine and transparent with Him. However, authenticity is a crucial element in any relationship, and it is no different regarding our relationship with God. Through being real and honest with God, we can truly grow closer to Him and find true joy in our lives. So, let us all strive to be authentic in our relationship with God and trust that He will guide us towards a fulfilling and happy life.
Psalm 119:34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart
David wanted understanding so that he could keep God's law and so that he could observe it with his whole heart, so we do this with God. Do we observe our ways to make sure we are pleasing God? The goal in our relationship with him is to make him happy and follow his ways. If you feel that following him is too hard or you don’t understand it, go to him, and he will help you see your path with him. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

[Sophia] is mother, wife, lover, beloved, virgin, and bride (cf. Job 28; Proverbs 1-9; Sir 24:1-2; Wis 7:21-26). Sometimes it is said that she is now hidden and unapproachable (Job 28:13; Sir 1:20-32); in other texts (Wis 7:24-27; Sir 1:10, 15; 6:20-22) she can be found by those who seek her and who are among the elect.

Power to Change
Sin is a deadly disease that has been passed on from generation to generation since the beginning of time. We're told in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. Sin is defined as any thought, word or action that goes against God's laws or standards. Simply put, sin is rebellion against God. The good news is this, the Bible tells us in first John 1:9 that all we need to do is confess our sins and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Our salvation came at an unimaginable price, for God loved us so much that He gave His only Son that we might live and have eternal life with Him. To accept God's amazing gift, we need to allow Him to change us fully and completely. It's not enough that we know who God is, we must know Him personally and intimately as our friend and Savior. When we do, God gives us the power to change and get rid of all the junk in our lives that is separating us from Him. Remember that God must accomplish something in us before He does anything for us or through us. Text: Philippians 1:6, 1 John 1:9, Proverbs 28:13, Isaiah 55:6–7
Bible Texts:
Philippians 1:6 KJV - Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:
1 John 1:9 KJV - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Proverbs 28:13 KJV - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy.
Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV - Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Proverbs 21:21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
Psalm 106:2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise?
Proverbs 10:6 Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
May you be assured that the Lord listens when you seek His favor in humility and repentance, for He has provided a Deliverer and Redeemer in His Son to bring you out of the power of the enemy. 2 Kings 13
May you follow the Lord's directions with your whole heart, not stopping half-way but carrying through with enthusiasm. 2 Kings 13
May the Lord be gracious to you and have compassion, showing concern for you in your trials because of the love of Christ. 2 Kings 13
May you not only walk in the ways of the people of God, but may your heart be turned to the heart of God, that you may receive His love and experience His power in your life, as a witness to others who are seeking rescue and deliverance from the enemy. 2 Kings 14
May your heart not be lifted up in pride beyond measure, nor use your strength selfishly against others, but give honor to God for victories He brings, and look to Him for ways to serve those around you. 2 Kings 14
May God grant you His words of life to speak light and strength into the lives of others, for as the days grow darker, the compassion of the Lord will grow dearer, and those willing to walk near to Him will shine brighter as they reveal the glory of His Son. 2 Kings 14
My child, I have called you “righteous,” so why do you question My judgment and doubt My truth? Is it not because you look upon My work with eyes that are blind to the work of the Spirit and try to understand with the carnal mind, which is enmity to Me?    The world claims that to be called righteous would mean that person is one who never sins. The enemy tries to impress that lie upon your thoughts because all have sinned, and no one would then have the right to call upon Me for help and strength to resist him.    However, I declare righteous that person who desires to know Me and, turning from their old way of living and thinking and acting, accepts the rescue and deliverance that I have made available through the blood I shed on the cross of Calvary, for the empty tomb declares the victory which defeated the devil.    Since My blood cleanses the guilt, removes the shame, and expunges the record, I give to whosoever will the right to become a son of God, upright and favored, no longer a destitute and abused child of Satan.    You are growing in My Spirit and My Word, maturing in grace and developing in mercy, progressing in compassion and arising in love. That means that while you do not yet walk perfectly in My ways, you are moving in the right direction by drawing closer to Me.    I speak of those things which are not as though they already were for I see that they will be. So walk in the authority of My Word and the power of My Spirit, My righteous one, knowing I place boundaries and safeguards around you, putting tutors over you as you progress.    Understand that the whole of creation is eagerly anticipating the day of your graduation when you are fully transformed into My likeness. This does not happen by your effort of will but by the power of My Spirit responding to the choice of your will and because I have said in My Word that it would come to pass.    All the hard studies and repeated lessons, the failed tests and despairing of ever learning and changing will be forgotten in the joy of that day when you come face-to-face with Me and know Me, even as you are known by Me.
May you strengthen your brethren day by day as you encounter them. Acts 18
May you minister the grace and gospel of Christ as the Lord equips you, whether with education and knowledge, or with experience and practice, for there will always be those who need the wisdom and perspective that God has given you. Acts 18
May you share, with meekness, the richness God has granted you to those who are seeking for more of the Lord, that you may receive, with humility, the depth God has granted others which will satisfy the hunger He has placed in your heart. Acts 19
May you praise the Lord from the depths of your soul as long as you live, singing praise to your God. Psalm 146
May you hope eternally in the Lord your God, never trusting in other powers or in men, none of whom can deliver you or even defend themselves, for on the very day their end comes, their thoughts and plans perish with them. Psalm 146
May you ever seek to obey the Lord your God who reigns over Zion for all generations, for He is the maker of all creation and remains forever faithful, upholding the cause of the oppressed and giving food to the hungry, setting the prisoner free and giving sight to the blind, lifting those who are bowed down because He loves the righteous, watching over the foreigner and sustaining the fatherless and the widow as He frustrates the ways of the wicked. Psalm 146
May you take delight in revealing and sharing the heart of the Father to others and find satisfaction by encouraging the growth and maturing of the saints. Proverbs 18:2
May you receive the grace and love of God in humility, turning from your former ways and walking in the righteousness of Christ, bringing honor to the Lord, and being honored by Him as one of His beloved. Proverbs 18:3

Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Lukewarm Christians
Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Characteristics
1 : They have no desire to depart from sin the want to try to get by on grace alone.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2 : All of their conversations are about worldly things and the cares of this world
1 John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
3 : Their actions ( No Change in them ).
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
4 : They spend no time praying or alone with God they might show up for church once a week but God is always on the Blackburner .
Psalm 145:18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
5 : The conversations they have never involve God but rather business or financial or plans they have made. Or what new item they intend on purchasing.
Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
6 : No conviction of sin they feel no grief or guilt for sinning. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin (see John 16:8-9)
Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
7 : They could care a less about the unsaved or reaching out to them. They outright try to stop us from preaching to the unsaved
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Proverbs 29:10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
8 : They care more about pleasing people rather than pleasing God
Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
9 : They fear man but have no fear of God
Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Daily Devotionals for November 16, 2024
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 28:8-9 (KJV): 8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. 9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Proverbs 28:8-9 (AMP): 8 He who by charging excessive interest and who by unjust efforts to get gain increases his material possession gathers it for him (to spend) who is kind and generous to the poor. 9 He who turns away his ear from hearing the law (of God and man), even his prayer is an abomination, hateful and revolting (to God).
Thought for the Day
Verse 8 - Sinners may heap up riches, but God will see that their wealth is given to the person who will consider and help the poor. "A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just" (Proverbs 13:22). "Though he heaps up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay; He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver" (Job 27:16-17). God will not bless riches gained by unjust means such as usury. Usury is the act of lending money at an excessively high rate of interest. Israel was given instructions about lending to their countrymen. Although they could charge interest on a loan to a stranger, they were not to charge interest on a loan to a fellow Israelite (Deuteronomy 23:19-20). This same principle should apply to loans among Christians.
In the New Testament, Jesus gave us an even higher way, telling us that it is better to give than to lend. We are instructed to give not only to fellow Christians, but also to give mercy and compassion to others as well. At one time in our lives, the Lord instructed my husband and I to cancel all the monetary debts owed to us, telling us that He would repay us. It was very liberating for us to do so, since many of those who owed us money were unable to repay us. When we released them, the Lord released finances to us in a different way that more than compensated for the thousands of dollars we had lost.
"And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? For sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again" (Luke 6:33-38).
Verse 9 - As we have previously noted, a large donation to a church from ill-gotten gain is an abomination to God. "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight" (Proverbs 15:8). God also regards the prayers of those who deliberately turn from His commandments, as an abomination. We must come to God with a submissive attitude and repentance in our heart if we want God to hear and answer our prayers: "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for Your mercy and kindness to us. Lord, may we be like You, and show that same mercy and kindness to others. Lord, may we be able to trust You with our financial affairs, should You tell us to forgive a debt that someone owes us. Lord Jesus, You paid a debt You did not owe, and I owed a debt I could not pay. Thank You for releasing me, and Lord, I release others today by forgiving them and blessing them and extending mercy to them. May all of Your children have the Father's love and mercy toward one another. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. The Wise Woman
1 The wise woman builds her house, But the woman of folly tears it down with her own hands. 2 He who walks in his uprightness fears Yahweh, But he who is devious in his ways despises Him. 3 In the mouth of the ignorant fool is a rod of lofty pride, But the lips of the wise will keep them. 4 Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, But much revenue comes by the strength of the ox. 5 A faithful witness will not lie, But a false witness breathes out lies. 6 A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy to one who has understanding. 7 Leave the presence of a fool, As you have not known lips of knowledge there. 8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, But the folly of fools is deceit. 9 Ignorant fools scoff at guilt, But among the upright there is favor. 10 The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its gladness.
11 The house of the wicked will be destroyed, But the tent of the upright will flourish. 12 There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. 13 Even in laughter the heart may be in pain, And the end of joy may be grief. 14 The one who turns back in his heart will be satisfied with his ways, But a good man will be satisfied with his. 15 The simple believes everything, But the prudent one discerns his steps.
16 A wise man fears and turns away from evil, But a fool gets angry and feels secure. 17 A quick-tempered man acts in folly, And a man of evil schemes is hated. 18 The simple inherit folly, But the prudent are crowned with knowledge. 19 The evil will bow down before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous. 20 The poor is hated even by his neighbor, But those who love the rich are many. 21 He who despises his neighbor sins, But how blessed is he who is gracious to the poor. 22 Will they not wander in error who devise evil? But lovingkindness and truth will be to those who devise good.
23 In all painful labor there is profit, But mere words from the lips lead only to want. 24 The crown of the wise is their riches, But the folly of fools is folly. 25 A truthful witness delivers souls, But he who breathes out lies is deceitful. 26 In the fear of Yahweh there is strong security, And his children will have refuge. 27 The fear of Yahweh is a fountain of life, To turn aside from the snares of death. 28 In a multitude of people is a king’s splendor, But in the dearth of people is a prince’s ruin. 29 He who is slow to anger has great discernment, But he who is quick-tempered raises up folly. 30 A tranquil heart is life to the body, But jealousy is rottenness to the bones. 31 He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him. 32 The wicked is thrust down by his own evil, But the righteous takes refuge even in his death. 33 Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding, But in the midst of fools it is merely made known. 34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people. 35 The king’s favor is toward a servant who acts insightfully, But his fury is toward him who acts shamefully. — Proverbs 14 | Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) Legacy Standard Bible Copyright ©2021 by The Lockman Foundation. BLIND BUT CLAIMED TO SEE
"JESUS SAID TO THEM [Pharisees], “IF YOU WERE BLIND, YOU WOULD HAVE NO SIN; but now you say, ‘WE SEE.’ THEREFORE YOUR SIN REMAINS."
John 9:41 (NKJV)
• When you owned up not to your sins or mistakes, you would be counted or considered guilty.
- Being blind mentioned in the text, the Bible passage, is about whatever wrong you might have done. If you admitted it, you would not be condemned on it—God will have mercy on you. However, If you refused to admit or own up to it, you would be condemned (Proverbs 28:13; 1 Corinthians 11:32).
- Many people, including believers, would do wrong yet would not admit or own up, because they want to save their faces; such people in the sight of God are punishable. It means what you did wrong that you admitted not or acknowledged not was a deliberate act.
- The statement was made by Jesus Christ because the pharisees claimed they know the right thing, they refused to Acknowledge Jesus As the Christ, the Anointed One, or the Messiah being expected.
- They claimed to know the right thing when they actually did not know. All the evidence that attested that Jesus was from God and He is the Messiah, the Christ or the Anointed One, they denied and despised it.
- The miracles He performed or did, the prophecies He fulfilled, are all pointing to or confirming that He is the Messiah being expected but were denied and bluntly refused by the religious leaders (John 5:36); because they claimed to know—that when they see the Messiah they would know and recognize him (John 5:36-44).
 Application
- In a believer's relationship with God, He wants or demands sincerity. Whenever you come before God, He wants you to own up to your mistakes or admit whatever you have done wrong.
- Since God knows you more than you do know yourself, Is there anything you can hide from Him? He knows the intent of your Heart (1 Chronicles 28:9).
- God knows your thought; what you are thinking and planning to do, even before you conceived it in your heart and when you are yet to voice It out. Is there any wisdom In trying to hide or conceal things from such a Great and Wise God? It is like someone dodging or hiding behind a finger!:
“AS FOR YOU, SOLOMON MY SON, KNOW THE GOD OF YOUR FATHER [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] AND SERVE HIM WITH A BLAMELESS HEART AND A WILLING MIND; FOR THE LORD SEARCHES ALL HEARTS AND MINDS, AND UNDERSTANDS EVERY INTENT AND INCLINATION OF THE THOUGHTS. IF YOU SEEK HIM [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] HE WILL LET YOU FIND HIM; BUT IF YOU ABANDON (turn away from) HIM, HE WILL REJECT YOU FOREVER" (1 Chronicles 28:9 Amps).
- Whoever is walking with God should be straightforward, come to Him without hiding anything. It is this integrity or sincerity that many lack in their relationship with God.
- Such people or believers always want to have their way and circumvent or try to bypass or avoid God's principles or commands in order to have their way or do things they want.
- Some even would insult God's intelligence by trying to cajole Him. They would think they could outsmart Him! God is God, He is not a Man, everything is bare or naked before Him—nothing is hidden!
• You would have to tell God about yourself, Of course, He already knows whatever you want to tell Him, but He wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth—your own mouth.
- Your sincerity and openness strengthened your relationship with God. It is when this is done He would be able to help you. Even in relating with a human being If faithfulness, openness and sincerity are not involved, the relationship would be mean—unworthy and despicable.
- Note:
a. Do not pretend to be what you are not before God. And It should not be done before Men As well.
b. If you missed it, admit your mistake before Man and God. You can only be helped If you acknowledged your weaknesses and mistakes. Someone who says he or she is strong when they are actually weak cannot receive any help.
c. When you try to impress people If the people you are trying to impress are not impressed by your performances, you become depressed as a result of it.
THUS, do not strive to impress any man or humans, endeavour to please God: "I AM NOT TRYING TO PLEASE PEOPLE. I WANT TO PLEASE GOD. DO YOU THINK I AM TRYING TO PLEASE PEOPLE? IF I WERE DOING THAT, I WOULD NOT BE A SERVANT OF CHRIST." (Galatians 1:10 Contemporary English Version).
• What you do not know, do not claim that you know It. Who you are not, do not claim you are. And what you do not have, do not claim you have it.
- Do not live your life on deceit and falsehood. Be plain and straightforward. Although, whoever is truthful is always hated and they used to have series of challenges and difficulties and the people who oppose them; but it worth it anyway!
- Some people live a pretentious life; that of exaggerated importance, worth, or stature. They are always self-consciously, trying to present an appearance of grandeur or importance about themselves.
- Endeavour to remain small in your own eyes:
3 FOR I SAY, THROUGH THE GRACE GIVEN TO ME [Paul], TO EVERYONE WHO IS AMONG YOU, NOT TO THINK OF HIMSELF MORE HIGHLY THAN HE OUGHT TO THINK, BUT TO THINK SOBERLY, AS GOD HAS DEALT TO EACH ONE A MEASURE OF FAITH. 16 BE OF THE SAME MIND TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER. DO NOT SET YOUR MIND ON HIGH THINGS, BUT ASSOCIATE WITH THE HUMBLE. DO NOT BE WISE IN YOUR OWN OPINION" (Romans 12:3,16 NKJV).
DO NOTHING FROM SELFISH AMBITION OR CONCEIT, BUT IN HUMILITY COUNT OTHERS MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN YOURSELVES."
Philippians 2:3 (ESV)
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
- Whatever is not planted in your body that is working against your health and wellness, such is rebuked and completely rooted out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!

4 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
42 And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.
43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
44 And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

Quiet Time 9/11
What am I feeling today?
A bit overwhelmed and tired, I just feel that I have a lot on my plate at the moment. Also frustrated at myself, I have feelings for someone in my church and I don’t want to like him. Not because there’s anything wrong with it, but I can get so obsessive and it’s distracting for me and that’s not what I need right now. I don’t want to be thinking about him and caring so much what he thinks of me or whether he likes me back or not so I’m just frustrated with myself.
First Principles: The Art of Moving the Heart
2 Timothy 2:15
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
if you master elementary teachings, you won't be ashamed!
know that it’s possible to handle the Bible (word) incorrectly (false doctrine)
James 3:1
“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”
those that teach will be judged more harshly!
Hebrews 5:11 - 6:3
“We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” “Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.”
"taught all over again" - Bible conviction to teach! train yourself self - go on to maturity!
Repentance is the foundation!
2 Timothy 1:13
“What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.”
Sound Teaching!
Philippians 3:17
“Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.”
Follow the example as a model to do what we do
Romans 6:17
“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.”
form of teaching everyone followed + entrusted!
SOLIDIFY
Ephesians 4:14
“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.”
UNIFY
John 17:23
“I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
MULTIPLY
Matthew 28:18-20
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””
Habakkuk 2:14
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”
Proverbs 20:5
“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”
the heart is deep but it’s also clogged (sin)
Matthew 12:33-37
““Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.””
let people sit in the questions you ask them during studies, give them time to think and observe and come to an answer on their own
Matthew 13:1-9, 13
“That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.” This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.”
they may hear you but don't understan
you have to be able to break up a calloused heart
the goal of it all is to heal the heart!
Romans 12:1-2
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
↳ am I becoming more like Jesus and less like myself?
Luke 3:7-14
“John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?” “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,” he told them. Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.””
We baptize disciples ONLY!
→ different people have a different process
