People Are Strange (ROTTMNT VAMPIRE AU)

OMG, IM GONNA THROW UP SO MICH INFO ON YOU GUYS IM SO SORRY BUT VAMPIRES ARE ON THE BRAIN AND THEY MAKE ME DO THINGS

A TAD bit inspired off of Lost Boys, so it's got that 80s cliche/grunge to it - also @m0nster-fluffer TOTALLY didn't encourage or inspire me to finally write all this stuff out... Totally not 👀

This is inspired by a Roleplay idea I came up with... But was never able to act out so I'm glad I was able to write some if the stuff down!

BASICALLY... It's just like the brothers and MAYBE April (but I think she'll just be a normal human they let tag along, and maybe she does some of their... Hunting for them) are vampires, usually come out late at parties or do their own thing, riding around on motorcycles, being nuisance to many, and threats to others.

I feel if it were a scenario, it'd probably go one (or your whole group, depends on if you want your character to already know the guys or not) of the Roleplayers moves into this small secluded town where all this happens, and somehow gets wrapped up in meeting the four weirdos + April, and then starts discovering the creepy and spooky blah blah ect.

The Hamato Brothers are something no one wants to be around with, cause eventually, you go missing. You get lost. Never to be found, it's kind of difficult when their very... Persuasive.

Basic twist/plot for this whole thing: Everyone in this town but you know the guys are vampires. You and your family have no clue until you find out why the people of this town don't want you to leave, try to keep you trapped in this so called, happy, campy, little peace of heaven off somewhere deep in the woods. You're new meat- new faces. New prey.

The guys had started getting more relentless and more brash toward the townsfolk until you showed up... They can't just give you up that easy.

(And my rant about what I think the guys would be like HEE)

Raphael Raph is one of the more docile of his brothers, he isn't as peer pressuring or over energetic as his other three, usually he's like that big brother 'come on, leave em alone' energy if he can see someone getting stressed over his brothers trying to get them to jump like- twenty feet from the beach pillars. But, as much as he seems like a chill dude, his vampirism is... Different. When he's mad, he isn't afraid to let you know. He can get aggressive and almost animalistic, a LOT of 'accidents' involving people can be from Raphs... Temper-tantrums.

Any vampire powers? Yes! The guy is a total brute, and it's not just for show. He could lift two trucks with both hands with absolute ease if he wanted to.

Leonardo Oh yikes, one of the brothers that a LOT of people tend to be persuaded by. Leo has the tendency to make some of the riskier decisions and ideas of the group, just to see how freaked out they can get new comers, what makes em run away screaming. It makes it more enjoyable for him. He loves- and I mean LOVES a chase once in a while, even if it spreads out into an entire week, he doesn't stop, as long as your in his town, his territory, you can't escape him or his brothers.

Leo's vampirism is one of the MANY faults and reasons the brothers have almost been caught. The guy pushes and tests limits like the little ass he is and waits to see what happens. Raphs killed people, sure, but Leo's killed people, critters, and he tends to leave them on people's doorsteps just to freak them out- especially if they've pissed him off. Or he's... Taken a liking to you.

His actions have gotten him locked up in the Church by the people a few times. And even though he continues to do it, he HATES getting chained up cause he's stuck their for a damn week, and all his brothers do is ridicule, taunt, or scold him. Any vampire powers? Yes! Leo's got some kind of... Trance inducing powers - it isn't like it is in shows or movies. It's a lot more... Subtle than that. It's he can make his point or voice sound more alluding, more conniving, and it almost feels like you can't refuse the guy.

Donatello. The lesser known of the vampire brothers, Donnie is extremely quiet and keeps to himself. And not in a shy way, this guy's seemingly resting bitch-face/death glare looks like he's looking directly through you and into your deepest darkest fears. He probably is.

But once you get to know him - as rare as it is unless he decides you're worth his time, he's still pretty blunt and cold, and he's almost cruel in some way. You can see some dark joy behind his eyes watching you get scared or squirm under his cold arm over your shoulder.

He doesn't seem like it, but he's got that persuasion and slight bloodlust that his twin Leo has. He just more collected about it. He tends to be the one who doesn't cause much of the missing accidents, (he's much more intelligent to clean and hide a crime scene, please, the man isn't a reckless idiot like his brothers.) But the one or two he's done are because someone pissed him off. The someone is his twin. Those two get in nasty- and I don't put it lightly when I say NASTY fights. Ranging from verbal to physical, it's rare that they actually get along so much so that they barely even talk to each other cause it ends in yelling or biting and scratching.

Any vampire powers? Yes! Same as his twin, maybe he dpes it more with that smolder or look he has rather than his voice, but it still gets the job done.

Michelangelo

And finally, the youngest of the Hamatos, Mikey. Of course, don't let that fool you. This vampire tends to be the most welcoming of newcomers out if all his brothers, while he's eerily sweet and calm, it does the trick to put people's minds at ease and get them to join their little rag-tag group.

He's usually the one you'd go to if you feel on edge about everything, him and Raph being more docile to newcomers before they decide to pounce.

While he gives on the laid-back persona... Don't get him mad or threaten his brothers. It'd like a whole new creature from the deepest darkest part of your soul is unleashed if you get on this vampires nerves.

And he's fast. They all are. Don't get me wrong, but the stealth this guy has sneaking and sprinting through woods. You're not gonna escape.

Any vampire powers? Yes! Super speed and levitation! The levitation is usually on his part - meaning he's the one floating around a few feet of ground and picking things up of the floor a few feet away from him. But he can pick people up if he decides he's too tired or annoyed to chase.

PREFERRED COMMUNICATION: I'm fine with either IM's or Discord. Time zones are a bit shit for me since I live in Australia, but I'll catch you when I can. I tend to chat in IM before I add people to discord tho.

EXPERIENCE: I've been Rping way over a decade now. On tumblr? Since... 2012, I think? But waaay before then, back in probably 2007 or something. I've Rped on multiple platforms.

PREFERRED ROLEPLAY TYPE: I greatly prefer para/novella. I like delving into a character's mind and thought process. I know I write a LOT of inner monologue for my muses as well, I actually STRUGGLE with short replies, so when someone gives me a single para or line... it's really difficult for me to match that short length, but it's also something that I don't really vibe with. I greatly prefer longer replies. I want to delve into characters and see how they react, I want to learn all of those little things about your muses as well. I'm a sucker for character development. I'm also a fan of the nitty gritty.

PET PEEVES & DEALBREAKERS: One line responses. Please, for the love of god... give me something to work with. It's a quick way for me to show disinterest and likely not really reach out to write with unless it's something that I am REALLY enjoying for small snippets. But please, I greatly prefer longer replies. Short ones also make me feel like you're just not interested in what my characters have to say :/ Please read my rules, whilst I know we can't remember EVERYONE'S rules (seriously, I forget as well!), it is obvious when people don't. If my muse is a muse of power or something, then please treat them as such. If your muse ends up wanting to attack or something, and they are of a lower class... then they won't win. It's just that simple. Respect the power of certain muses.

PLOTS OR MEMES: I like both and am fine with both. Whilst I LOVE plotting and getting to know muses and getting an idea of where we can go, I also understand that sometimes our brains are just too tired from real life and memes can be something simpler and quicker. I think both of them are very good for very different reasons, which I'm fine with both. By all means, memes are EXCELLENT ice breakers imo, and then we can always plot something once we've established a little starter. :)

LONG REPLIES OR SHORT REPLIES: Long, lol. As covered in my previous responses.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: I get a lot more done when I'm writing in the mornings. Obviously due to work, I am tired in the evenings, so I get very little done (Haarlep has certainly reawakened my muse tho I'm shocked at how much I've been writing on my work nights lol). I mostly write on days I have to myself.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES: Haarlep? Absolutely not. Haarlep caught me by utter surprise when it came to being a muse of mine. I saw him once, had a little laugh, and suddenly he wouldn't leave my mind, and then I just... had the persistent urge to write them. I'm very happy that he did come to me, though, as he's really been helpful in making me come back to RP on a more regular basis and I've had such a good time exploring him. But no, we're absolutely nothing alike. Haarlep is an incubus, and I'm asexual as fuck lol. If anything, and don't take this the wrong way because it's probably going to sound BAD lol, but I have more in common with Raphael than I do with Haarlep X'D and that's... saying something, since I am not an evil devil hahaha. The only thing I think I could say about me and Haarlep being similar is the fact that I can mask like a beast in public. (: Even then, that's entirely different to what Haarlep is doing, I'm just masking because I'm autistic and people have expectations of me in society lol, Haarlep is masking because he's trying to seduce and eat someone hahaha.

As for Raphael, I have a DEEP structure and routine like Raphael does. I need things to be in order and control or I will absolutely have a meltdown (and nobody wants that). Raphael reminds me of myself when I was younger. I was an angry person, I was possessive, and had an explosive temper. I feel like I understand Raphael on a deeper level because of those things, the disappointment of parents who should have been better etc. Obviously, as I have gotten older, I have become wiser and more chill, but Raphael definitely reminds me of a younger, angrier me, lol. Also, he likes reading and I hc he likes music (I, too, love to sing... I just suck at it LOL). Also, Raphael writing his own little fanfictions? I guess that counts XD

experience: Started on the Neopets forums when I was 11, have moved from MSN to Skype to Discord to Omegle to Rolechat to forums to - basically everywhere. Been on tumblr about 5 years over different accounts. I have been roleplaying and writing fic for more than 20 years.

preferred roleplay type: paragraph/semi-novella, although I sit everywhere from just a couple sentences to a wall of text. My most comfortable spot is about 2 paragrphs.

pet peeves & dealbreakers: beyond the basic transphobia and bigotry? elitism. I get very frustrated at people who think they're better than everyone else because they format or use fancy pictures or whatnot.

plots or memes: MMMmmm plots generally do the best for me, although I struggle to think beyond 'scenes'.

are you like your muse?: Well... no. yes? maybe. I have a tendency to hide how shitty I feel at all times and I'm also really really bad at accepting any help. But generally I think I'm not that much like anyone here. I'm a dumbass with crushing depression and awful low self esteem! Hooray!

Blog policing. Honestly, just let people do what they wanna do and enjoy their hobbies. I don't care if you don't like this character or that one. I don't care if this character is evil or problematic. You don't know the person behind the blog. Most people that play problematic characters honestly are the sweetest mods and nicest people, because they have things like empathy. Don't judge people by the characters they like, and just move the fuck on if you don't wanna see shit on your dash. It's honestly that simple.

✦ Thoughts on duplicates following you?

I'm happy for duplicates to follow me (tho I'm the only LepLep Rper I've seen around?), I just ask that they respect my headcanons and that they may differ from their own version of the character, and don't steal them or claim them as their own etc. I love how each and every person brings a unique flavour to canon characters, and we don't all have to agree on things, so long as we're respectful and can discuss things openly (I love my fellow Raphael Rpers and their versions of him! And I am also in awe of your portrayals!) I also think dupes can bounce ideas off each other and we can learn from each other as well. Does it comes with a little bit of insecurity at times? Absolutely! But as an adult, I know that's just the brain being silly, so you take a breath and you keep writing what you love. <3 I also acknowledge that I chose Haarlep over Raphael because I knew I couldn't do Raphael justice in the poetic department rofl. I've accepted that and moved on lol XD

In RP? No. Not to my knowledge. As for OC's, yes. I once had someone who took the very unique name of my character and they were VERY similar (same job, colour scheme), and I knew that they were a follower of mine and were reading my series, so it was a little obvious that they took HEAVY influence from my OC. I kindly asked them to rename their OC because the name I had literally made up (my character was named Karmashock in the Transformers fandom, which is an entirely made up unique name). They were good about it, which was good, and said that they didn't intend to steal my character, but the similarities were pretty obvious.

♥️ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

I let an abusive person abuse me for far too long. For 3 years to be exact. I allowed them to corner me and isolate me because I was too empathetic and couldn't cut them off, always putting myself in their shoes and feeling guilty at the thought of wanting to stop communication with them. We were very close, and we talked pretty much every day, we had a really deep connection, but I now realise that they were a narcissist that guilt tripped me and manipulated me and was a massive gatekeeper. Worse, I wasn't the only one they were doing it to, they involved a mutual who I cared about a lot, and the both of us eventually confided in each other to what was going on, and we found comfort in that, as well as strength to finally break ties. This person was exceptionally jealous and forced me to change my entire blog to suit their jealousy and insecurity. It really fucked me up about getting close to people, though, and I keep my distance from everyone. I have, unfortunately, taught myself not to get close to people because eventually everyone leaves (or bad things happen). Sounds dumb, but it is what it is.

♦️ What was a mildly annoying thing that has happened to you rp wise?

I once drew fanart of my characters (my OWN two OC's), who were half siblings, and as a joke they were kissing. This person came into my IM's and started abusing me about my own two characters... because that's gross and winge winge winge about inc*st and all this other bullshit. One, it was a fucking joke with one of my friends, two... don't trauma dump on me, you're responsible for your own triggers, not me. Three, they're my own fucking characters so get fucked. Anyway, they wanted me to apologise, and I kindly told them to grow up and act like an adult. Do I condone inc*st? No, of fucking COURSE I DON'T! But apparently fiction and reality mean nothing to some people.

Short ones also make me feel like you're just not interested in what my characters have to say :/ Please read my rules, whilst I know we can't remember EVERYONE'S rules (seriously, I forget as well!), it is obvious when people don't. If my muse is a muse of power or something, then please treat them as such. If your muse ends up wanting to attack or something, and they are of a lower class... then they won't win. It's just that simple. Respect the power of certain muses.

PLOTS OR MEMES: I like both and am fine with both. Whilst I LOVE plotting and getting to know muses and getting an idea of where we can go, I also understand that sometimes our brains are just too tired from real life and memes can be something simpler and quicker. I think both of them are very good for very different reasons, which I'm fine with both. By all means, memes are EXCELLENT ice breakers imo, and then we can always plot something once we've established a little starter. :)

LONG REPLIES OR SHORT REPLIES: Long, lol. As covered in my previous responses.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: I get a lot more done when I'm writing in the mornings. Obviously due to work, I am tired in the evenings, so I get very little done (Haarlep has certainly reawakened my muse tho I'm shocked at how much I've been writing on my work nights lol). I mostly write on Fridays as it's the only day I have to myself, so I try and churn out as many replies as I can, but once it hits the afternoon, I'm pooped lol. So yeah, mornings are definitely best!

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES: Haarlep? Absolutely not. Haarlep caught me by utter surprise when it came to being a muse of mine. I saw him once, had a little laugh, and suddenly he wouldn't leave my mind, and then I just... had the persistent urge to write them. I'm very happy that he did come to me, though, as he's really been helpful in making me come back to RP on a more regular basis and I've had such a good time exploring him. But no, we're absolutely nothing alike. Haarlep is an incubus, and I'm asexual as fuck lol. If anything, and don't take this the wrong way because it's probably going to sound BAD lol, but I have more in common with Raphael than I do with Haarlep X'D and that's... saying something, since I am not an evil devil hahaha. The only thing I think I could say about me and Haarlep being similar is the fact that I can mask like a beast in public. (: Even then, that's entirely different to what Haarlep is doing, I'm just masking because I'm austistic and people have expectations of me in society lol, Haarlep is masking because he's trying to seduce and eat someone hahaha.

❤️ Sgt. Horus Hunt ❤: A red rank Bobby who works to protect Uncle Jack and has been looking after him after he came off his Joy. Horus is a Downer but he keeps it hidden and he carries a lot of guilt and self hate.

🧡 Sgt. Vincent Morris 🧡: A white rank Bobby who works at Hayworth Labs. He is very sadistic and mean and abuses his power, but under the surface, he struggles with PTSD and religious trauma.

💛 Jonathan Wesley 💛: A blue rank Bobby who used to patrol around Nick Lightbearer's home before Nick went on holiday. Now he works under Horus at the Broadcasting Tower. He is recovering from coming off his Joy.

💚 Audrey Wesley 💚: A Wastrel woman who was never able to take Joy and is fighting to make everyone come to their senses before they starve. Jonathan Wesley's little sister, whom he forgot about.

💙 Billy Morris 💙: Was one of the few children to escape the trains. He now runs errands for the citizens of Wellington Wells in exchange for food, board, or war memorabilia. He is also a pickpocket and is Vincent Morris's little brother.

🩵 Ophelia Springs 🩵: Used to be a musical duo with her lover Anette before they were discovered. Ophelia is now on Joy and has been forced to work at the Reform Club.

💜 Anette Thompsin 💜: A Wastrel who used to be a musical duo with her lover. When they were discovered, Anette was given Joy but couldn't stomach it, so she is being kept at the Labs with the Plague victims and is being researched.

🤍 Raphael Alexandre 🤍: A red rank Bobby who attempts to hide his French descent. He is very anxious and prone to anxiety attacks.

🖤 Michael (Mischa) Avelin 🖤: A blue rank Jewish Bobby who fled with his family from Russia during the war. He was shot in the knee by German soldiers when he was younger and now wears a leg brace and occasionally limps.
