ok someone please correct me if i'm wrong but am i weird for thinking those 'audiobooks don't count as reading' posts are ableist as fuck????

#ramble #my first thought was like: how is this even a debate what about blind people. not every book comes in braille but MOST have an audiobook #or dyslexic people #you still enjoyed the book!! you still absorbed it!!! you got EXACTLY the same thing as people who read the words!!!#how does it not count????#i guess you miss out on the 'learning new vocab' you get through seeing the words but also #i don't really do audiobooks but i do a lot of podcasts esp fiction podcasts #and i have ABSOLUTELY picked up new stuff from there that helps with my writing #someone please explain how this is even an argument of COURSE it counts????#idk in my opinion finishing a book means 'i put the words in my brain and i thought about them and i enjoyed a story'#not 'i held a stack of paper in my hands for a bit'#i'm v lucky that i do have time to sit and read. and whenever i commute anywhere it's public transport so i CAN bring a book with me #but if i didn't have the free time or had to drive for hours everywhere i would be STOKED to still get to enjoy books #it's been REALLY bothering me lmao idk why i feel so strongly #for some reason it's giving the same energy as like. being told you can't take a comic or manga from the library bc it's not a 'real' book #of course it's a real book it's a story somebody wrote down #i can see this spiralling into 'if you have a kindle you aren't reading'. you have to sniff the paper. feel the papercuts

In the third trolls movie when we see branch as a little guy, he has glasses.

It could be that those glasses were a fashion piece, or it could be that branch needs glasses but refuses to wear them, instead choosing to angrily squint his way through life.

it’s actually really funny you bring this up because this thought crossed my mind again earlier today 😭

it’s probably for expression purposes, but i remember specifically when jd and bruce are first shown branch has to squint to see them

Do you ever think about how almost all of hollow knight is genuinely horrifying actually?

The infection, the fact that whatever Hallownest was is Long gone, the concept of the city locking it's gates forever and the slow, horrific consequences thereof. Abyss *exists??* The handful of bugs that haven't lost their mind probably go weeks or months without seeing anyone else, with the exception of the bugs in Dirtmouth. Deepnest is like, at least 60% corpses. Most places have at least a few corpses. Hell, they fall from the fucking sky in Kingdom's Edge.

I think the art style and the fact that the player character doesn't acknowledge any of it goes a long way into pushing the horror of the setting into the background, but like. You could write some absolutely nightmarish shit I think

You know, I feel like other trans people might get this, but it's honestly kind of refreshing when a cis person has, like, undeniable tboy/tgirl/whatever swag. It's like when you come across somebody who speaks the same language as you and you only find out when they start speaking it, too.

I know that it may seem that I complain a lot on my blog, but I wanted to post about a rare Powerpuff merch W! 💖

I was looking at ThankYouMart’s website and found a bunch of Powerpuff Girls merchandise that I hadn’t known about until now (…and most of it is sold out so I wish I had known about it sooner 😤). I’m not sure if I’ve seen this particular white logo being used on merchandise before… but I actually kinda like it!

I like that it isn’t really being written in the weak, bubbly baby letters that the reboot’s logo had. It’s a rounded sans serif font that’s clean, modern, and bold, while also being strong, stable, and youthful without being overly infantile. It works really well with the girls’ round designs and the simplicity of the packaging.

Honestly, if that became the new official logo design, I wouldn’t be upset. Including the stars from the original logo would be a nice touch though!

It has just hit me that I have 1 william random ass headcanons for almost every character in Look Outside some of which just go into crackpot territory. Because like this only hit me when I was working on my Lyle hc ref sheet and I wrote : "Grew up as a repressed queer mormon who still struggles with internalised queerphobia because of his background." I think that's taking it a bit too far, at least these are headcanons, not theories.

I'm sorry if you followed me for Look Outside fanart and the occasional opinion here and there. But trust and believe I will just be saying near incomprehensible shit from here on. Not completely incomprehensible but very VERY close.

I think I need to accept I'm having some kind of episode. Not because it makes anything better, but like. Idk I keep feeling bad that I am having Moments but I'm just not getting any better. I can Not Feel It for a good period of time but them something snaps and it just takes me over. I feel like The Calm is the exception to my rule of misery rn.
