A Ship by Many Names...

Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers share a love story for the ages.

Their list of "ship" names has grown! "Stucky" of course, the beloved originator. Lurking on social media and in various fandom spaces, we've seen these precious boys fondly known as: Barnes and Noble, BuckySteve, Stars Aligned, Starbucks, SteveBucky, WinterShield, and even Beve!

We've also seen various fans on Bluesky, Twitter, and here on Tumblr use: WinterStar, StarKiller, ShieldKiller, and NobleKiller. Those last three are super clever and we as fellow readers and fans of magical school thrillers can appreciate that!

We see those three and "raise you all" WinterKiller as a possible two winter soldiers or hydra!cap and ws!bucky scenario with Winter being Bucky but Killer being Steve in this case; whereas before Star, Shield, and Noble referred to Steve.

Our actual proposed ship name for a version of Bucky and Steve is... you guessed it, Halcyonian Love! (Specifically for Top!Steve Rogers/Bottom!Bucky) We thought it would be pretty cool to use our own event name to coin the ship name. To be honest, we could go even further and use "Those Boys of Winter and Summer" too!

With all that being said, we look forward to what the rest of Cycle 1 of this mini bingo holds! Be on the lookout for something special at the end of the round.

Hello! I was just thinking about your Stars Aligned DPxHP fic and just realised - how do the time turners in harry potter fit in? Are they somehow linked to CW?

Yes. I might not get around to finishing it ever because of the Unpleasantness, but in most of my HPxDP crossovers, a lot of stuff in the Department of Mysteries is derived from Ghost Zone stuff (directly or indirectly) via the Veil... which I also headcanon as being the "bridge" the brothers made.

My desire to return here knows no bounds. I think of it nearly every day, imagining the gorgeous viewpoints dancing in the land of ice & fire. The raw, stunning, undisturbed bits of nature, the cold breeze that sends storms of rich, thick, dense snow across the lands regularly…..the way the culture is so openly queer & accepting & everyone is just so kind. I don’t have to worry about seeming off or strange to people there, they just have a much higher understanding of the benefits of neurodiversity without even directly discussing it, it’s just a part of their culture. I appreciate the loads of availability of Appelsín since that’s my fav soda too……I’m manifesting that I’ll be able to celebrate the new year in Iceland but have no expectations that this will be met & letting life just play out as it does truly is the best way to live~ Why stress over what you can’t control? 🧿
