Mastering Terraform: A Complete Guide to Infrastructure Automation
In the world of cloud computing and infrastructure automation, Terraform has become one of the most popular tools for managing cloud infrastructure as code. This open-source tool, developed by HashiCorp, allows DevOps teams and IT professionals to define, provision, and manage infrastructure using declarative configuration files. The flexibility, scalability, and ease of use that Terraform offers make it an indispensable tool for organizations looking to manage their cloud infrastructure efficiently.
In this blog post, we will explore Terraform, its benefits, the importance of Terraform training, and how Multisoft Systems offers comprehensive Terraform training to help professionals gain mastery over this powerful tool.
What is Terraform?
Terraform is a tool that allows users to define and provision infrastructure using a high-level configuration language called HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL). With Terraform, you can manage resources across multiple cloud providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and many others, as well as on-premises infrastructure.
One of the most notable features of Terraform is its ability to create and manage infrastructure in a way that is both scalable and reusable. Terraform configurations are stored as code, meaning that infrastructure can be versioned, shared, and updated just like any other software application. This leads to greater consistency and fewer manual configuration errors, which is critical for maintaining robust, reliable infrastructure.
Why Terraform is Essential for Modern Infrastructure Management?
The modern IT landscape is characterized by dynamic, highly distributed systems that require efficient, automated management. What if. What if I made my sole survivor trans. House wife lawyer turned themself in the wasteland. What if. What if I did that.
Like you’re no longer burdened by your pre-war self. A miserable person, though loving of her husband, who never got to be who they wanted to be. Or maybe never thought about it to begin with. But the wasteland? well all the structures of society that held her back before aren’t there anymore. No one knows who you are, only that you’re someone looking for your lost son and maybe that you were cryogenically frozen. Your husband is dead. Your kid wouldn’t know whether or not you’re his mom or dad, he’s a baby! It’s a clean slate isn’t it? Codsworth wouldn’t give a damn, if anything he’d put on that cheery voice qnd be proud of you…
Might make you seem less frail to the people who stole your son? Maybe they don’t recognize you, or rather, maybe they see the wasteland hasn’t killed you so much as hardened you to a fine point. I mean there’s a film noir detective running around, a zombie as mayor of an entire town, huge green dudes, and giant fucking murder lizards around. You’re only going to be half the freakiest thing around. Besides! People are getting swapped out for fakes, you’re all starving and dehydrated, radiation poisoning is constant threat, and people constantly attack each other to get any resources they can. You’re hardly their biggest worry at the moment, right?
Now that I think about it, the sole survivor is a fun character to make trans. Hmmmm.
#also as an aside why the fuck does Nora have power armor training. the game didn’t think too hard about that.#MacCready needs a boyfriend#and Kieran. well Kieran would make an excellent man#fo4#fallout 4#the sole survivor#sole survivor#fuck you. makes your house wife a man#also as an extra aside#I get why people don’t like it#but I do like the theory that the sole survivor is a synth#like inevitably it is entirely your personal preference wether or not you like the idea#but I got it started in my head when I saw some of the skeletons in vault 111 are in the same place they were as you entered#and some of your neighbors are already in the vault. despite the fact that elevator is too slow for it to have made two whole trips#the entire other section of the vault is full of dead frozen people ! how the fuck did they get there#you were in a rush to get down there as soon as it started happening#like I KNOW Bethesda isn’t that thought out#and that there are just as many weird details with that line of thinking as a plain old human sole survivor#but it’s a really fun concept#don’t know if it fits Kieran but y’know#like I know there’s not many reasons for the institute to do that#but they also don’t really get a defined#reasons for sending synths out in the first place as far as I remember#all I remember is tinker Tom talking about terraforming and maybe being right???#whatever#I like it. I’m having fun. even if I don’t super buy into it#I love the idea of it#anyways#I’m done#fallout

In my daughter of sol au I gave everyone super op powers
Jay can use portals, Lion gets super strength (+ big roar and invincibility buff), and Holly gets to terraform
I'm thinking for Dove I could give her clairvoyance, gravity, or something just as ridiculously powerful as the rest
And maybe Ivy could also get a power :3c maybe she can get invisibility (for the same reason Tristan did in LIS) or super speed IDK honestly
#brainstorms#talks#warrior cats au#premise of the au is that holly deviates from tc and trains under sol#after she finds out that her brothers were given gifts from starclan but she was not#and sol was also given a gift long ago: terraformation#and he teaches it to her and she uses it to be dramatix#i have a whole script for it

The terrifying sound of silence
"Where is the Human?"
A question that incites dread across the Galaxy. And no greater when the Human in question is an engineer.
For weeks after her arrival aboard the Coalition joint exploration vessel Ulmanar's Resilience, the Human Jenna had been pestering everyone about the technical specifications, tolerances, build schematics, design philosophy, power outputs, and countless other microscopic details.
At first everything seemed normal, Humans are known to be curios, especially the technically minded ones, and her job would entail managing parts of the vessel's systems, so everyone was as helpful as they could.
Then Jenna started tinkering.
'Optimizing' is how she described it.
Admittedly, most of her modifications resulted in marginal improvements to energy distribution and mechanical motion efficiency. Although the fact the power reactors started to make audible noise was... unusual, but the readings said everything was fine, and the fact a day passed without explosions put everyone at ease - this was partly why a Human engineer was brought along in the first place.
During a short stop at a supply station before our first descent onto an uncharted planet, Jenna was the first to rush off with several cargo drones in the direction of the shipyard district. She was the last to return mere minutes before the scheduled departure, all covered in dust and oil, and the drones straining under the weight of everything she had procured.
"Don't worry, it's gonna be awesome." she declared.
It had been a while since our training and none of us had encountered other Humans in the meantime, so all of us had forgotten to immediately be alarmed by those words and question everything she was doing.
The following weeks of transit to our destination were marked by a severe lack of Jenna interactions or even sightings. The shuttle bay was a mess of disassembled craft, loose parts flung about, and sparks and rattling noises coming from the bowels of whatever was going on.
Unbeknownst to us, for the idea itself was ludicrous, Jenna was only within the vessel half of the time during this period. The other half she was in her spacesuit tinkering with the exterior of the vessel. Laser cutters and cold welding, not to mention the vacuum of space, make for a very silent work environment.
Perhaps it was instinct for most of us to avoid the confusing actions of a predator species descendant, as once we arrived to the designated planet, we learned we only had two surface shuttles left. Out of sixteen.
"This baby can land now!" Jenna happily said.
Confused beyond measure, we asked: "What do you mean 'this baby?"
"The ship, you know, Ulmanar's Resilience. We can land the whole thing now instead of doing this boring shuttling down thing. Plus the terraforming bot wouldn't fit in a shuttle anyway."
"The what?" our confusion continued.
"Yeah, we're gonna terraform this planet, right? That's what I got from the briefing back before joining you guys." she explained with innocence in her eyes.
There must have been some miscommunication, but the work had been done, and as far as our own technicians (who were scolded harshly for not keeping track of such grand changes to the entire vessel) did confirm that, as far as their understanding of mechanics and physics went, Ulmanar's Resilience can now indeed endure descent and commence takeoff from up to a 6G world.
So I guess that's what we're doing now. Preliminary surveys from past unmanned missions had suggested this world was once in the past and potentially now habitable again, and we suppose the Humans had decided to just set that in motion before more detailed analysis had occurred.
"Oh yeah," Jenna interjected, "if it turns out this place is, like, super dangerous and a threat to the Galaxy if we accidentally wake something up, I modified one of the scanning dishes to be a deep drill laser. Two hours of firing it at the core of the planet and it'll go boom."
...
"The planet, not the laser dish. That will explode if left on for more than three hours."
...

TRANSFORMERS ONE X READER
Old Title was "Three Birds on a Wire" then got change for general (just letting you guys know)
Not really a fic I'm planning to do anytime soon but it's something that was cooking in my head after the 5th(?) time I've watch Transformers one and I just need to put it somewhere before I lose my mind.
Warnings: few headcannons, angst, Out of Characters moments, Panic attack, mentions of death, torture and familial loss, Bad English/Typos (We die like real AutoBots), sudden change of POV from 3rd to You (Watch out when the sentences either says You or Me/I).
Note: Long ass fic, Implied Reader is a Cybertronian Femme Bot, There's few weird plot holes but Reader is born from a Carrier while some are born from Forging (Transformers lore is fucking up my brain and it shows) and some dialogue might not be accurate since I'm writing this in like 1-2am and lots of cuts basing on the movie.
Pairings: (Main) D-16/Megatron x Reader, (Slight possibly maybe) Orion Pax/Optimus Prime x Reader, (Mentions) Megatronus Prime x Solus Prime and (Jokingly put for plot but like only a pinch) Sentinel Prime x Reader
--
From the Beginning it was always the three of you together, D-16 the stick to protocol one but always finds himself yielding to the shenanigans of Orion Pax, who was the more taking risk bot and the one who always makes trouble and get to be scolded by You, you who was the one looking out for the two bot everyday and takes care of them when the two of them both get caught together.
Everyday in the mines was tiresome and Dangerous frequently taking life or cause more harm to the miners from unstable minings, Cogless bots who were told to be the lifeline of the city and where the only point of being online was to provide energon everyday.
But it was tolerable when you're with the two, especially with your sparkmate D-16 who tries his best to make you happy everday, Giving you compliments and find you valuable scraps to use for things you build after you confess to seeing Solus Prime as your idol and D-16 who admires Megatronus can't help but feel like it was fate that you two love the primes who has the closes relationship together.
You and Orion Pax has the same spark to learn about different knowledge and discoveries which in turn gives you a chance to invent/build stuff and using Orion as your personal test dummy and Orion who just let's it happened as long as you help him get to the archives and not get more scoldings from D-16 since your the only one who could really stop him.
Life was simple, repetitive but happy nonetheless until-
----[0]----
"Second Place isn't that bad-" D-16 reasoned before getting cut off by racing bot who drove/flew by.
Laying on the track I laugh when it happened as I hold my leg that was almost ripped from my socket when we roughly landed.
Now sitting on Medbay after Ratchet took care of our injuries I sat in between the two as they bicker to one another making me shake my head.
"Ok that's enough-" but before I can push D away from Orion a tall black painted femme bot appeared from the open MedDoors and scanned us.
Soon as she scanned us Sentinel Prime appeared shocking us, He called the two bots before noticing me who was still struggling from standing since my leg was newly wielded.
"Please my dear don't strain yourself hahaha" Sentinel said before suddenly holding my arms and gently sat me back to the chair, I can feel D-16 stare so I looked at him and laid a servo on his arm as he side-eye the prime before nodding and sit back a little closer to me.
----[1]----
After getting forcefully sent by Darkwing to the lower levels and meeting B-127, a sweet bot who was probably a little younger than us is helping us get to the surface after finding the distressed signal.
Getting to the train was easy but with Elita-1 discovering us became a little more harder than we thought.
Arriving at the surface we admired the beautiful sceneries with the terrain simingly terraforming on it's own that is until one behind us burst the train and throw us off.
D-16 quickly grab me and the two of us hold to one another as we crash in the ground, a few moments he woke me up and help me stand as we perfectly timed seeing Orion getting Right hooked by Elita-1
----[2]----
Arriving at the cave we saw the offline bodies of the primes laying around with this organic stuff covering them showing how long they have been here......waiting.
Finding Alpha Trion and putting him online as he told us the truth was the most spark breaking thing you have ever felt in your life.
"He......he took our cogs?....w-why? I-i....what about the once born from Carriers?! surely he-.....he wouldn't right?". I asked the old prime who just looked at me with sadness.
"N-no......so all this time.....I thought my carrier......I thought she left me....i-i..." I turn away and kneel to a boulder shaking in sorrow now knowing how cruel Sentinel really was, Killing Carriers with new sparklings for their T-cogs.
D-16 wasn't really doing well either all our life and for the 50 cycles of Cybertron and Iacoon City living under a lie of a fake prime.
I was shaking and almost to a point of breaking down, realiving all the loss we have endure and the miners I have to painstakingly tried to save or build scrap prosthetics to the servos, arms, legs or pedels they loss in mining, all were sacrificed for nothing.
The rest were fighting until D-16 heard be gasping for pain as they look and see me holding my chasis as I try to breath through my vents.
My sparkmate quickly race to me and tried to calm me down as he holds my servos and leaned his helm on mine.
"All!......all this time!... all those energons!....everyone!...FOR 50 CYCLES!!-" I screamed and gasp as D-16 shush me and whispered as his optics shining a more orange hue looks into mine.
"He'll pay for what he did to us, to me and to you" He harshly spat as he laid a servo on my cheek as he tilts his helm as I nod.
He helps me stand up as we look to Alpha Tron and received the T-cogs of the older primes, coincidentally I received Solus Prime's T-cog.
As we all upgraded and slightly got bigger, I hear a gasp and turn to see D and Orion looking at me.
"W-what? do I look bad?". I asked as I tried to look at my new form.
"No! you uh look-" Orion tried to say but D beat him to it.
"You....you look just like her.....Solus Prime that is". D looked at me with those optics that I knew so much it's colors slightly lighting from it's orange tinged to yellow before going back.
----[3]----
Running away and trying out our T-cogs me and the rest tried to find away to get back to the city when we got caught and held in a High Guards hidden HQ.
Orion tried to get them on ourside but D was pulling me away to leave as I feel his annoyance and anger through our bond.
"D- wait let's-". but D snap when the guards stop him and he turns back to StarScream and tried to fight him.
It happened too fast and the next thing I know was D aiming a cannon to StarScream who was begging for mercy.
He turned to the rest and pledge his revenge to Sentinel and I stare at him as I hear the muffled chant of the High Guards around me as he stand in front of me before holding my cheeks with both of his servos as he looks into my optics as I see his finally becoming orange.
"Follow me, and I promise you all the pain and suffering you have endured..... I'll avenge you for it as long as you stay with me" There it is, the last part of rite to be conjuxes that I've been waiting to hear from him ever since we become sparkmates, the very last one I imagine where we'll be alone and spending another romantic moment and not surrounded by screaming bots as I see his angry yet desperate face.
I close my eyes before trying not to cry before reaching out and lean close to him, our lips almost touching when an explosion erupted from the roof as D quickly hide me behind his back as he prepared to take fire.
----[4]----
Waking up from my unconscious state I opened my optics and get blinded by brightlights as I turn and see my arms and legs are bound on a metal table.
I look and see Arachnid and Sentinel stand near a panel as they watch me struggle from my binds.
"It's no use in trying to escape my dear". He said as he walks closer and stood beside the table and reach out a servo to my face.
"Look at this, seems you and your little friends got a little upgrade" He smirks as I tried to tear away my face from his hold.
"Tell me how does it feel? to be better and stronger than your old look? feels great doesn't it?" He laughs before shaking my head from side to side.
"Now tell me- where's the rest of your little friends".
----[4]----
As Sentinel arrives to taunt D-16 he tells them about what's going to happen when D-16 stand up to him.
"I got nothing left to lose" He said as he glares at the false prime.
"Oh I sure did- bring her in". Sentinel said to Arachnid who nods and a bunch of bots entered and tossed something at Sentinel's pedels.
"Look at what you made me do to her" He whispered as he kicks you right in the stomach making you scream in pain.
D-16 looked horrified at the state you're in, the new paint from your new form slightly chared and a few sparks flew from your joints and optics as you groan in pain.
Sentinel only looks at him with this sadistic look before noticing the sticker Orion gave him and put on his shoulder.
"Ah Megatronus Prime-" He said before punching D down the ground.
"of course you're a fan, Megatronus is the Coolest bot, Biggest, Baddest and Toughest-". He says before leaning down to smirk down at us.
"That's why after I killed him-" then opened his chasis to show us the red T-cog of Megatronus slotted inside.
"I took it for myself". He said before turning to me.
"He was greater than you'll ever be!". D roars as he watches Sentinel drop a knee closer to me.
"Now that I think about it, It's unny how fate works huh- me having Megatronus T-cog while your little sparkmate has Solus? it was like were meant to be!". He laughs when D trashes and tries to stand up.
"Maybe this cover up story wouldn't be so bad, The traitor's sparkmate running to my arms after she finds out your little plan, and I- Sentinel promise to protect her from the derange traitorous little miner". He laughs before grabbing a hold of my head to forcefully make me nod.
He chuckles before harshly turning my head to look at D who stared back at me with worry.
Sentinel then stands back and rip off the sticker from him and inspect it.
"I'm pretty great myself but I can understand why you wanna wear his face over mine, Here-". He puts the sticker back now on D's chasis.
"Let's make sure it doesn't come off". He grins before Arachnid hands him a laser cutter and proceeds to carve a crude drawing of Megatronus symbols.
I tried to stop Sentinel but Arachnid held me down as I scream for D, feeling his pain too
----[5]----
Optimus arrived by bursting through the window with a train alongside Elita and the rest of the High Guards.
I groan before helping D up and check his chasis that has the still cooling down mark.
"Oh D.....I-i...... I'm sorry". I said as I gently tried to caress it trying to ease his pain.
D only frown and hold my servos before roughly turning me and force me to sit down on the side.
"Stay. Here". D growled before backing away as he looks at the state I'm in with anger and disappointment - to himself or me?-
He shoves off Orion who tried to stir him away from fighting off Sentinel, Orion sighs before seeing me on the side still in pain from what Arachnid and Sentinel did to me after our capture.
"_! Are you alright!". Orion panicked and kneel to me as he checks all my injuries.
"No!.... I'm fine O-orion.. please go and get Arachnid..... She's the only bot that has been around Sentinel.....use her memory and broadcast it out to Iacoon......". Orion looked at me with wide eyes.
"Wait that's-!". He said before I chuckle and cough from the pain.
"Smart? I know......been smarter than you since day one Pax". I smiled as Orion laid a servo on my shoulder pads.
"And you will always be......Friend". Orion said his optics looking sad and his voice sorrowful when he called me his friend.
"Go! I'll stay here with D! Go!". I pushed him away as I stand up and limp to find D, Orion nods before running away with B-127, who after excitedly showed me his knife hands.
----[5]----
Everyone now knew what Sentinel did to us as I watch the repeated broadcast on the holograms and screen shown around the city.
I sigh in relief as I turn to D and tried to reach for him, He looked at me but his eyes has other plans.
"NO! D! DON'T!". I screamed as he tackled Sentinel through the glass and fall through the ledge as I limp and jump after them.
Roughly landing on the platform of where the golded carvings of the 13 primes stand, I painfully watch D rages and tries to kill off Sentinel.
I watch as he aims to blast Sentinel until Orion jump the last second to take the devastating hit.
I screamed as me and D look at him in fear as I see the whole part of his left chasis and arm get blasted to nothing.
I tried to crawl toward the edge where D was holding Orion who fell but I could only look with my sparkbreaking again when D stood back up without Orion.
"No.........". I whispered as I lean my helm down as I covered my mouth to silence my cries.
I force myself to watch my sparkmate, who was kind, calm and sweet become someone that I don't recognize anymore.
Watching him become someone else, watching him become Megatron.
I kneel on the ground as everything around me distorts and get muffled as I hear thudding of heavy pedels towards me.
Looking up I see Megatron, not my sweet D-16 kneels to me and reaches for my cheek.
I should have flinch, I should have tried to move away from him, I should have leave him but.....
I couldn't stop myself from hating him, I couldn't help myself but close my eyes and lean to his palms.
"Stay with me" He says as he moves closer and leans close to me.
I look into his optics now having a deep and angry red and yet still holding an adoring emotion swirling inside, only for me.
"Remember the day we became sparkmates?". I asked him as he keep looking at me not saying anything to stop me.
"I said I'll always stay and love you now matter what.....for better or worse, that was the day I started the rite for us to be Conjuxes.......". I said before holding his face and nod.
D- Megatron smiles, deep inside was my dear D-16 as he held me close as I lean on his shoulder before looking up when I see a blinding blue light flying up in the air.
----[6]----
Looking at Megatron who limps pass now Optimus Prime, He glared at his old friend in anger before turning to me.
"_, It's your choice to follow Megatron but know that you will always be welcome back here with us" Ori- Optimus said as he looks at me with sorrow, I look at him in sadness before saying.
"I'm sorry.....Or- Optimus...for everything". I turn away before reaching for Megatron and putting his arm over my shoulders as I help him to the tracks as he shouts for the High guards and he transformers along side with me as I follow them to back to the surface.
----[Notes]----
I ain't finishing this btw, it's all I got and my writing juices are spent hahaha so sorry my fanfiction days are way too over and I just 'go, random bullshit go!' my ass haha.

Due to it being December, I thought it would be the best time to introduce another au of mine; "Hibernation"
When the Combine took over Earth, rather than stripping it of it's resources, it began the process of terraforming the planet into a barren, ice-covered wasteland, basically bringing a second ice age, all in the hopes of killing off the life on earth and taking it for themselves.
Gordon Freeman is taken out of stasis, ten years after the resonance cascade, left to survive in one of the remaining cities protected from the harsh weather. Due to his fears and his guilty conscious over the events of Black Mesa, he went into hiding soon after, leaving his fate unknown to the resistance.
It is only until ten years later where on a reconnaissance mission, Alyx comes across a small abandoned military bunker on the outskirts of City 17, investigating only to find a disheveled, desensitized Gordon living there. He initially refuses to join the resistance, but after learning that some of his old friends at Black Mesa were still alive, he agrees.
Having given up his previous scientific background, Gordon has become a soldier, training for years in case he would finally get an opportunity to take down the Combine, suppressing his own fears, guilt, and trauma in favor of fighting for freedom. However, he still remained skeptical of the resistance, hesitating to see himself as its front-man until his existence was no longer hidden.
Still, despite his wish to keep up a stoic facade he had made for himself, he feels a presence over his shoulder, beckoning him into the wastelands of Earth to succumb to the frigid temperatures. He fears if he does not stop fighting, he will heed the call.

Something about Jewish zionists who DM Jewish antizionists unprompted and blabber on about "rampant antisemitism in the free Palestine movement" gives the strong impression that they have a deep internalized disdain towards Jewish people, selfhate even, which is why they cannot possible fathom another reason for people to hate israel than for them to hate Jewish people. I am glad to tell you that this is not the case, israel is hated wide and far for its rampant human rights abuses, warcrimes, breech of international law, fascism, genocide and ethnic cleansing, bombing its neighbouring countries, causing ecological disasters off the coast of Haifa, training US cops, sending weapons and spyware all over the world, terraforming the Levant, turning the Golan heights into barren hills, stealing Lebanons water, the list goes on endlessly.
Eitherway, stay in your corner of the circus pls, lest Marwan eats you. He gets horrible tummy aches from dumb ppl

Emptiness Machine
Starscream X Reader (mech pilot AU)
Warnings/TW: blood, weapons, mention of torture, robot gore, human experimentation (shockwave is shockwave), language, and peril. (I’ll add more as I post)
(Author note: Before I get started I wanted to get a few things out of the way. This is my own AU and doesn’t really lend itself to much existing media. Gonna mash a few continuities together. This is in no way a professional writing by any means. I am not running it past a beta or anything so it’s going to be rough. I wanted to write this for myself and share it with y’all! This is my silly nonsense. That being said if I don’t clarify something or if something doesn’t make sense please submit an ask and I will promptly explain! Now without further ado. Here is the anticipated first chapter of Emptiness machine! Thank you all for waiting.)

Data log entry #857
Date: 003029 Time: 0700
Time since first contact: 2 years, 4 months, 7 days
What began as a national defense strategy became one of the most complex military operations in the history of the world. Project Archangel, founded by Dr. Zinovy Antonov, began under the pretense of creating the world’s first mechanized army. He started his research long before we found out we weren’t alone out here among the stars. With the arrival of the Cybertronian visitors came the fear that humanity was not only vastly outgunned, but also grossly unprepared to deal with any threat from deep space. Dr. Antonov pleaded with the government to allow him near the deactivated body of one of the Cybertronians, who was discovered after a battle had broken out between factions.
He studied their biology and created what he dubbed the perfect exoskeleton. Fueled by chemical X, also known as Energon, and operated by none other than the human soul itself. There weren’t many volunteers to undergo the rigorous training and testing that these pilots had to go through. But with the help of Cybertronian Autobot scientists, Project Archangel was finally given the green light to move forward. Only three pilots made it through the initial testing.
Pilot: Seraphim, Pilot: Uriel, and Pilot: Michael.
With their functioning mecha, these pilots were meant to assist the Autobot Cybertronians in keeping earth from being terraformed by the opposing Cybertronian facton, the Decepticons.
Which brings us to the present. We have had zero contact with the other faction known as the Decepticons until two months ago. The Autobots insisted we keep our distance and only deploy Project Archangel as a last resort. Keeping the humans out of the conflict was essential if they wanted to stay neutral in the eyes of the Decepticons. As far as we know, no Decepticon has ventured down to the planet’s surface from their airship Nemesis to interact with the population. Only sending drones to wreak havoc on areas rich in Chemical X.
However, in recent months, there have been sightings of Decepticon officers and scientists (identified by Autobot command) on the planet’s surface. It was decided that we bring Project Archangel out of the shadows and deploy them on a scouting mission alongside several Autobots. We only hope that we haven’t made a grave mistake.
Chapter 1
You let yourself be pulled through the spiral of light emanating from the ground bridge. Traveling via the alien tech was a feeling that no one could describe. The closest thing to it was like having a magnet in your chest be pulled faster than your brain could register before spitting you back out on the other side. It had taken many practice runs for you to not throw off your stabilizers and stick the landing. Though it still made you dizzy and a bit sick.
After landing behind Bee in a heavily wooded area, you quickly scan the trees for energy signatures. Your scanners were only programmed to detect the Decepticon drones and of course the energy signatures of your comrades. Bumblebee signaled for you to fall in behind him and you promptly obeyed. You could feel the way your heart pounded against your ribcage where your body rested snug inside the metal chest of your mech. Your consciousness flawlessly divided between the two bodies. One living metal, and one flesh. Energon flowed steady through your lines as you tried to calm the slight tremor of your hand that came with the rush of adrenaline.
Ahead you could see the energon mine in the waning light. A clearing with a large metal structure in the center. The two huge metal doors at the entrance had been blown wide open to reveal the tunnel that went deep inside the earth to extract the precious ore. The human sentries, once posted outside, were nowhere to be found. Vehicles were overturned and some still smoldered where they had been hit with plasma bolts. You switch to internal comms so you can communicate with Bee without anyone on the outside hearing.
“Second wave in twenty. Nineteen….”
You slowly count down the seconds until the others arrive so you can rush the structure together. Adjusting your grip on your rifle you study entrance trying to imagine just what awaited you inside. Clearly a monster. Looking to your left you see Bumblebee gripping his null ray, an uncharacteristically stoic look on his face. You had some form of friendship with all the autobots, but you were closest to the little yellow scout. Perhaps it was shared interest or the fact that he seemed more your age. Whatever the case, you had shared so many things with each other over the two ish years that you had been a part of Project Archangel. Only once did you ask him about his home.
He looked saddened at the question and at first you thought he wouldn’t answer you. But he did. You spent the better part of a day listening to how he didn’t know Cybertron before it had been nearly obliterated by the war. It had been a planet filled with culture, music, and arts. No factions to speak of. A united Cybertron. But then came the slow divide of the classes. The divide grew until there were only the obscenely wealthy, and those who had nothing. That’s when, from the pits of Kaon, came the leader of the Decepticon faction.
Megatron.
Bumblebee described him as charismatic and well spoken. Someone bots wanted to rally behind. Many of the Autobots started out as Decepticons in the early days of the war. Taking down the government brick by brick until nothing remained. When it came time to build a new government, Megatron wasn’t satisfied. He wanted all the bots and their families who dared oppress him gone. Obliterated until nothing was left. He ended up doing exactly that. This cost him many followers and eventually after many thousands of years, his home. He didn’t stop. Blaming the Autobots for the lack of energon and destruction on Cybertron.
With a dead world and nowhere to go, the Autobots turned to the libraries in what was left of Iacon. There they found records of worlds seeded with energon by the 13 original Primes. A failsafe in case something were to happen to Cybertron. Optimus Prime lead the remaining Autobots off world to look for a suitable new home. Of course Megatron followed. They tore their way through 11 uninhabited worlds while trying to find one that suited them best. Stripping the worlds of their energon before moving on to the next. Earth was the first seeded world to have intelligent life. Optimus made it his sole mission to keep that intelligent life from having to endure the horrors of the war they brought with them.
It was nearly impossible due to the ever present evil that lurked in the sky. The Nemesis, like a dark cloud, hung overhead when you looked up. What kind of monsters would tear apart their home just to make a point? You were about to find out. A ground bridge portal appeared nearly blinding her as she adjusted her optics to its harsh blue light. Four bots landed and immediately began sprinting towards the entrance. Your peds began to automatically move. The yellow scout close on your heels as the two of you followed your comrades inside. Drones swarmed around you the instant you broke the entrance. Inside you could see Cliffjumper, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and one of your brothers in arms Michael. His mech was a heavy class. Not very good at maneuvering but excellent at breaking things. Throwing a drone into a wall with the butt of your rifle, you turn to Bee and chuckle over comms.
“I was expecting more of a fight. This is a fairly average number of drones.”
He didn’t reply right away as he tried to pull a drone off of one of the lambo twins. You couldn’t tell which one because of the sheer number of bodies trying to suffocate the bot. Using your jump jets you propel yourself forward and into the pile sending a good number of the drones flying. They broke easily, not filled with much energon either. It made you wonder just how the Decepticons managed to manufacture so many drones while the Autobots controlled the energon. With the last of the drones dispatched, you look around and regroup with the others. Slowly you start moving further into the mine. Eventually it would open up into a huge cavern. It would be beautiful if not for the dread that had settled over the group like a thick fog. Suddenly your comm crackled to life as Sideswipe replied to your earlier comment in Bumblebee’s stead.
“We’ll get a good fight eventually. These tin cans are just the appetizer for the main course. It’s confirmed, Shockwave is here. I’ve been itching to dig my fist into that lone optic of his.”
He emphasized his excitement by sending his fist into the shoulder of his brother. The golden bot gave him a sour look but didn’t retort like he normally would have. The energy of the Autobots had been stoic ever since it was confirmed that the first Decepticon on scene was Shockwave. You had no idea what to expect. You knew Shockwave was a scientist and known for his cruel and unusual experiments during the war on Cybertron. He created the most horrific weapons used in the Great War, so he must be someone to fear at the very least.
As you make your way down, you begin to hear a long drawn out noise. Almost like a squeaky door hinge but amplified, bouncing off the walls of the mine shaft. Then there was the screaming. You had wondered what happened to the sentries who were stationed outside. Now you knew. A deep voice rumbled from up ahead. It was cold, unfeeling, and filled you with dread.
“Test 8 unsuccessful. Most illogical. Send another.”
There was that horrible sound like metal rending and then another shriek cut short. Before a sigh of resignation came from nearby. It wasn’t Shockwave who made the noise of dissatisfaction. Another Decepticon. Your heart pounded as you look over at your fellow bots to see if they heard the same thing you did. If their wide optics were any indication, they had. Two Decepticons. Not just one. You listened closely as the other bot seemed to pace back and forth in front of the opening to the cavern. You and your companions were split on either side of the entrance, listening but not yet entering the space.
The other Decepticon doesn’t speak and suddenly he goes eerily silent. It made your hair stand on end and you almost felt like you were being watched. Could Decepticons see through reinforced steel? You shook your helm at the thought. No way. But after a heartbeat he said something that had your heart in your throat.
“Shockwave wrap it up. We aren’t alone.”
Cliffjumper growled into his comm in recognition of the voice.
“Spinster. He’s going to be trouble.”

Could I please request fem avatar!child!reader (avatar as in avatar the last Airbender) with the whitebeard pirates?
But the avatar is a myth but one day ace (or any other character/s) is losing battle and reader uses the avatar state to save them but reader ends up fainting from how much energy they used up
And ofc reader has no family or friends to go back to.
I love your writing sm and I hope you're drinking enough water, sleeping enough and eating properly :D
Torturous Training ( Whitebeard pirates x f!child!reader)
A/N . Alright I took the liberty of straying away from the request because I have no idea how the avatar state works or what it really is no matter how much I read so I din’t feel confident in doing that but instead we get Dokucha training her different elements with the crew….so basically I just did the avatar part of the request 😂 I hope yall like it regardless
Reader here is replaced by dokucha which stands for Reader in japanese
Dividers by @/fireflygraphics and @/drinkthesky
“Agh! I don’t get it!!” Dokucha huffs, throwing herself on the ground, much to the older man’s amusement
“GuraGuraGura! What’s wrong, squirt? Giving up so easy?!” he booms, looking down at her defeated form.
“Easy for you to say, Papaw!” She exclaimed, bolting up from the floor and pointing an accusing finger in his direction
“All you have to do is grabby hands, and the earth and air will tremble for you!” she screamed.
“We’ve been going at it for hours, and I haven’t been able to lift even a single pebble,” she whined, stomping her feet.
“You must will the heavens and earth to move for you; you lack the will,” he easily replied
“Hah?” she frowned, dropping herself to the ground once again, crossing her legs as she sat in front of the man, looking up at him, confused.
“What is that supposed to mean? Are you saying I’m not trying hard enough? Because that’s bullshit, Papaw”
“Watch your language,” he grumbled.
“Sorrey”
“I’m saying that we have been training for hours, but not once have you believed the earth or wind would bend to your will.”
“Well, yeah, we have been training for hours, and it hasn’t moved, so why would I expect it to move this time?” She asked confused
“The earth is the foundation of everything, so why would it move for a brat who doesn’t even believe she can move it?!” He bellows
She frowned, thinking over his words, unable to make sense of it.
He narrowed his eyes at this as he activated his devil fruit, causing the earth to tremble and for Dokucha to fall backward, trying to withstand the seismic movement.
“Gurarara! How can you possibly move the earth if you can’t even keep your feet on the ground!! Root Yourself Girl! We will try again.” He laughed
She groaned, standing up and brushing the dirt that had fallen herself on the earthquake as she planted her feet on her ground and tensed her muscles, trying to visualize the land below her, gritting her teeth as she felt his devil fruit begin to move the ground.
As the ground beneath her began to shake uncontrollably she stomped her feet, digging them into the ground to maintain herself standing.
“Gurararara! That’s more like it squirt!” Whitebeard cackled as he deactivated his devil fruit as she slowly opened her eyes and took in the scene in front of her. All around her was the evident aftermath of her father’s devil fruit, with the earth having been terraformed, various points of the ground spiking forward in an attempt to escape the heavy pressure it found itself under. All around her, except the earth below her feet, where she had deeply planted her feet, remained a small platform untouched by the chaos.
“Ha..haHAHAHA I did it!” She hollered, jumping in excitement.
“I did it, Papaw!! I did it!!”
“Don’t get too excited. We are just getting started.”
“Huh?”
“You thought this training would be done when you withstood the power a single finger managed to do?”
“One finger?” She asked as her blood drained from her face at the information
“Should we jump to a hand now since you seemed so sure of yourself?” He asked with a dubious grin on his face
“Like this?” she muttered, trying to imitate the position Namur was currently doing.
“No.”
“No?”
“No.”
“Umm, I’m gonna need more than that, Namur-nii,” she stated hesitantly, watching as the short-spoken fishman let out a grunt, approached her figure, and began moving her limbs into an outward block position.
“Too stiff,” he stated, prying open her tight fists.
“Let go.” He added, stepping back
“Let go? Namur-nii, your instructions are too vague!!” She cried, gaining a huff from the Fishman
“Water is not earth. It is light. Be loose like the water so you can move the water.”
“Umm, like jello?” she questioned, confused, tilting her head as Namur let out a sigh.
“Let it flow. Do not force it.”
She frowned but closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she did as he asked, dropping the aggressive movements she had practiced earlier and replacing them with soft movements, making gentle pulling motions as she glided along the ship’s deck.
After hours of straining her body trying to control such a heavy element like earth, these movements felt nice; they felt liberating, and she smiled. Feeling the heaviness on her body slowly leave her as she continued her movements, she let herself free and be pulled by the flow, as her brother had suggested.
“You did it.” She heard her brother’s voice state, causing her to shoot her eyes open, watching in awe at the currents of water that now surrounded her
“Do-
Before Namur could warn her, Dokucha easily guessed what the warning was. She realized that with her movements and concentration broken, nothing was willing the water to move with her anymore, and it shot out in a powerful gust of water….straight into Namur.
“Ha…ha..uh, sorry?” She muttered, watching his drenched form, his frown deepening further than usual, something that would have amused Dokucha had she not been the cause of it, flinching at the glare he sent her way
“I guess water practice is over?” She spoke, chuckling nervously
“Go.”
“Yes sir,” she muttered, quickly scrambling off.
“So are we here because it is quieter, Marco-nii?” she questioned, looking down at the deck, the figures of her brothers down minimized to the size of ants.
“Something like that-yoi.”
“I thought you said I had gotten better at the meditating stuff?” she questioned, looking up at him.
“You have, which is why we will now practice flying-yoi.”
“Really?!” she beamed, laughing gleefully as he let out an affirming hum.
“Are you going to let me write your back?”
“No”
“Oh. Are you going to carry me then?”
“No”
“Huh?” she questioned
“Then h-
She paused her words, taking one good look at the grin on his face and backing away from him as it dawned on her.
“Marco-nii, no way.”
“The bird needs to leave the nest eventually-yoi.” He smiled, walking closer to her
“M-Marco-nii, wait. Let’s think about this: I can help you in the clinic with the paperwork. You have lots of it, yes?”
“I do, but I will prioritize the training of my dear sister above paperwork.”
“Is there anything I can offer you to push this training back?”
“Nope”
“Marco-nii, if you don’t catch me, I will hunt you until the end of times!”
“Yes, yes; now let’s get this started,” he laughed, transforming into his full zoan form as he gave her a nudge, ignoring the glare she gave her as he did
“I’m going to get back at you for this, Marco!” she cried as she jumped from the nest.
“Ace-nii!!” She cried, running to the man
“Wow, there! I wish my subordinates were as excited as you are about training,” he snickered. He grabbed the tween and spun her around, grinning as she let loud giggles escape her at the motion.
“You would be too, after having to train with Papaw and Namur-nii, not to mention the years Marco-nii just scared out of me,” She whined as they both sat down.
“It feels like my arms, legs, and heart are going to fall off,” she muttered, climbing into his lap and smiling when he wrapped his arms around her.
“Well, you do struggle with the other elements more than you do with fire.”
“Can you blame me? Fire comes out so easy, maybe because I don’t have to worry about my limbs falling off or me falling off,” she grinned, lifting a hand and easily igniting it on fire.
“Maybe if I had a logia devil fruit like you, my body wouldn’t hurt as much? You know, with my body made of an element and whatnot.” she voiced absentmindedly, tossing a ball of fire in between her hands.
“It Doesn’t work like that, Dork; I still feel fatigued and pained my body is not always made of fire. Don’t you remember when I first came aboard? Marco had to patch me up multiple times a day when I fought Pops.”
“Papaw is merciless,” she sighed.
“It’s because he cares.”
“I know, but tell my body that,” she groaned, cuddling further into him.
“Alright, alright. Seeing as you’re already good with fire, how about we take a small break today?”
“Yes, please,” she pleaded.
“Alright, want to give the Striker a spin?”
“Yes! But…can it wait? I just need to rest for a little bit.”
“To bed it is!! He exclaimed, shooting up and bringing the girl up with him.
“You’re the best, Ace!” She exclaimed with a tired giggle escaping her as she nuzzled further into him
We somewhat got that fainting scene, ish? I mean she fell asleep from the fatigue so close enough?

Although human civilization on Qefre is a couple of thousand years old, it has developed along idiosyncratic lines due to the existence of a planet-wide teleporter network left behind by the long-departed terraformers. These teleporters are essentially stone rings a couple of meters across that can instantaneously exchange everything in a spherical bubble inside them with a similar bubble inside another teleporter (usually including a flat stone platform that provides a convenient surface to stand on). Although their capacity is limited--you can move a lot more people and certainly far more goods by train or ship than you can by teleporter, even if those conveyances go a lot slower--they allow far-flung cities to cheaply stay in close communication with one another.
The basic political unit of Qefre is not the state but the rashun, a kind of ritual-political association tasked with managing the eruni, the logistics management system that controls access to recovered ancient technology. The terraformers seemed to use the eruni as a kind of basic permissions system to distribute and manage responsibility for the planet-wide terraforming infrastructure and its supporting technology; the powerful nature of the eruni and the need to use them responsibly meant that the planet's human inhabitants quickly developed sophisticated social systems for protecting them against misuse, which inevitably became entangled with questions of political power and competing interests between social groups. Rashun became landholding organizations early in Qefre's history, and soon supplanted most early proto-states in regions of extensive human settlement.
In the modern era, rashun club together with local governments and private political associations into "circles" which undertake most low-level administrative functions; these small-scale circles are in turn grouped into larger planet-wide circles, of which there are about fifty; and these larger-scale circles in turn are grouped into ten loose associations, which collaborate to manage affairs of regional or global interest. Since circles can hold territory basically anywhere within the region of human settlement, there has in practice been a strong pressure toward institutionalizing various forms of collaborative and representative government at all levels in order to prevent an absolutely sclerotic degree of political deadlock strangling economic growth.
Not that this hasn't been an issue in the past; indeed, much of Qefre's history has been an endless series of petty local wars, some rising to the scale of planet-wide affrays, with the fragmented structure of territorial control only serving to increase the amount of chaos when violence did break out. Eventually the largest cities, including all the teleporter-networked ones, got so sick of this state of affairs that they ganged up to completely expel the rashun from their immediate territories, and implemented a "power-sharing" agreement that was really an early form of representative democracy, which came to have a profound influence on the internal administration of the rashun themselves.
When the Western Territories were opened up by the discovery of the teleporter at Ar-Amal, the independent cities and the rashun hammered out a set of agreements to prevent a destabilizing series of landgrabs in the surrounding region; but now that the Territories have a large native-born population, many have begun to grumble that they are simply living under a kind of shared fiefdom, quite different from the actual self-government that the cities in the east--or, indeed, the subjects of the modern, collaborative rashun--enjoy. There is a growing local home rule movement, which envisions something quite different from the governments of the east for itself: exclusive territorial sovereignty, with no role at all for the Delegations in its internal affairs. Opponents argue that this is preposterous: that not even the haughtiest of the eastern cities could get away with demanding complete political autarky. To which the Territorialist answer is that all the eastern cities are equals in political affairs, and their political affairs (and political interests) are irrevocably bound up with their neighbors, in a way that is very different from the subordinated and exploited Western Territories. It seems to be an intractable conflict, where neither side is willing to entertain any notion of compromise, nor is it clear what such a compromise would entail. How it will resolve ultimately is anyone's guess.
#worldbuilding#tanadrin's fiction#qefre#the humans on qefre know the planet was terraformed in the distant past and that they're not native#but don't have a clear idea of how they got there#or where they came from#the landscape is still scarred here and there#the aftermath of apparently vicious wars fought with terrible weapons#but whether it was the terraformers or the ancestors of the present-day human population that fought those wars#is anyone's guess
