Behold—the last Full Moon of the aenergetic year 2024🥎🎲🍑The Full Worm Moon in Virgo on 14 March enters the axis of 'love and sacrifice' (Virgo) and 'self-undoing' (Pisces). It's also a total lunar eclipse! It's also accompanied by Uranus transiting Taurus, which has been shouting to me: FOOD🍡FOOD🍭FOOD🍢

Virgo being the ruler of the 6H actually talks a lot about our relationship with food and how that affects our sense of body image. Since it's ruled by Mercury—the planet of short-term thinking—there's something in the air with this FM that nudges us to rethink our eating and exercising habits. You may inexplicably, or intuitively, feel an urge towards moving your body more, eating more cleanly or lightly, or even meditating and resting more🧘‍♀️

Virgo is also a sign that's all about Mortal Femininity (I dunno if that's a good enough term to describe the opposite of Divine Femininity (Pisces)) so this Full Moon also carries a theme revolving our girlhood👒Some of us may be experiencing a pull towards nostalgia what would in turn help us redefine our sense of girlhood outside of what the patriarchy has defined for us🤢In turn, feeling more comfortable in our own expression of the Self.

Girlhood to you was always marred by a sense of being responsible for everybody's wellbeing and still responsible when things go wrong. You may have gotten blamed for everything or maybe you saw a mother, sister or every other woman in your society get blamed for even men's misconducts simply because they're female. This either caused you to develop hyper-caution or you became very angry about the mistreatment of women but couldn't necessarily do anything about it👿

This Full Worm Moon in Virgo is inviting you to either rebel against this bullshite, or if you were already doing it nevertheless, this FM is strengthening your resolve for rebellion. This could translate into you finally leaving a situation for good, leaving some losers to learn and be responsible for themselves. Blood Moon BLΛC @blac_ai On March 14, 02:59 AM EST, a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse takes place at 23º58’ of Virgo.

This is the first Eclipse of the season and of the calendar year, as well as the first Eclipse in the sign of Virgo since 2016. A clear call to purify and realign, this Lunar Eclipse in Virgo brings opportunities for deep emotional purging and inner work and challenges us to let go of our need for perfection and control.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo is significant for everybody, but particularly so for people born with planets or angles in the late degrees of Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). The individuals personally impacted by this Eclipse will feel a heightened sense of urgency relative to taking action and making changes. They are more likely to experience significant turning points, fated events, and opportunities to close a chapter of their life for good. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo: Call to Purify

In the sign of Virgo, the Lunar Eclipse brings a reality check and invites us to let go of habits, behaviors, and lifestyles that don’t support our well being. Virgo is associated with discernment, purification, and refinement. This archetype teaches us the importance of being intentional about our daily choices, about what we consume, about what and who we allow into our field, about how we invest our time, energy, and focus.

Virgo’s shadow can manifest as excessive worry, an inability to rest, and a tendency to equate our worth with our productivity, with what we do and accomplish. The Eclipse highlights where these patterns have been keeping us stuck and invites us to create space for more flow, presence, and trust in the mystery. Around this time, we have an opportunity to become more aware of the ways in which we have been micromanaging our reality or got lost in self-criticism, over-analysis, or an impossible quest for perfection.

Since the Virgo/Pisces axis rules our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, this event may expose imbalances that impact our wellbeing or reveal how our obsession with healing may be holding us back from truly healing.

Upcoming Total Lunar Eclipse

This will occur on 13th/14th March depending on your time zone.

[Note: This will be a partial eclipse for me on the 14th. The moon will rise in a state of partial eclipse with the eclipse passing off. The full eclipse will have already occurred below the horizon.]

The eclipse is on the 23.57 Virgo (Moon)- 23.57 Pisces (Sun) axis.

Effects from an eclipse can be felt in the week before the eclipse occurs as well as after the eclipse has happened.

All effects given below are my amateur attempts at interpreting charts. The effects of the eclipse could be very different from what I say here. You never know with eclipses and interpreting transits is not my strong suit.

I use a two degree orb either side of the eclipse to determine whether it will affect someone or not. I am looking at the hard aspects - conjunctions, oppositions and squares - as they are more likely to be noticeable in someone's life (trines and sextiles are soft, flowing aspects; trines tend to occur automatically without a lot of fuss, and sextiles tend to present you with an opportunity that you can accept or refuse).

HRH The Prince of Wales will be affected. The eclipse will square his Neptune at 25.33 Sagittarius in his 12th house, the house of our subconscious motivations, spirituality, endings, sorrow, fate, and universal compassion. It can also show where we are restricted in our life. Neptune is the planet of creativity and illusion and ways of expressing that, as well as the planet of compassion and empathy for others. It rules the 12th house, so having Neptune in the 12th house makes it a strong placement for Prince William, especially as it is opposite his Sun and his Moon, tying those values of compassion etc into the core of his being.

The eclipse will occur in his 8th house and 2nd house, an axis that is about inheritance, legacy, hidden and surface motivations, money, and values. Squares create tension, so the obvious way for this eclipse to express itself is some sort of attack on Prince William's projects about Homelessness (compassion, a 12th house and Neptune thing) and/or the Environment (a Virgo thing), or maybe on his wealth and how it is created (horrible rentals in The Duchy of Cornwall etc).

HRH The Princess of Wales will be affected, with her Neptune square the eclipse at 25.28 Sagittarius in her 5th house (creativity, individuality. short term romance, children, sports, gambling). Neptune is the planet of creativity and illusion and ways of expressing that, including filmmaking and photography. Her Neptune forms a square to the eclipse, and squares are aspects that create friction/tension. The eclipse occurs in her 2nd and 8th houses, an axis that is about money, values, inheritance, legacy, and both the outward reasons for things and the inner reasons that are not revealed.

I believe we have already seen the eclipse in effect with her exclusion from the International Woman's Day post by The King and The Queen, both as a subject and as a photographer, a move that I believe was to put The Princess of Wales in her place as an 'unimportant commoner' by ignoring her, as well as falsely equating Queen Camilla with the last two Queen Regnants, Elizabeth II and Victoria (look at the positioning of the photos in the social media post - they are not in historic order as I would expect them to be).

The Queen will be affected, with the eclipse tightly squaring her Uranus at 23.50 Gemini in her 11th house, the house of groups, friends, hopes, dreams, wishes. Uranus is the natural ruler of the 11th house, so this is a powerful position for this planet in The Queens chart, but as it doesn't make a major aspect with any of her planets, this is a case of 'all dressed up and nowhere to go" when it comes to the planet expressing itself in her life.

The eclipse will occur in her 3rd and 9th houses, an axis of travel (short and long trips), communication, siblings, education (all levels), and legal issues. I will have to see if we get any public sign of how the eclipse has affected her.

The King may be affected. The eclipse is widely (3 degrees) square his Mars at 20.57 Sagittarius, in his 5th House ((creativity, individuality. short term romance, children, sports, gambling), so look for irritability and/or pettiness from him as Mars is the planet of anger and irritation (also desire, athletics, soldiers, war, willpower etc) and the square to the eclipse will be creating tension with that Mars. The effect should be mild, but because The King is suffering from ill health it may not take much to set him off as his resources for coping with day to day events will already be low (tied up in dealing with his health). Again, excluding Princess Catherine from the IWD post from BP on social media may be an expression of this.

Harry will be affected. The eclipse will conjunct his Sun at 22.57 Virgo in his 8th house. The Sun is your ego, your inner self, and the 8th house is about death, changes, inheritance, legacy, psychology, and taxes. The eclipse is on his 8th house-2nd house axis, the same as for his brother Prince William, and as such will set off issues around the 8th house matters and 2nd house matters (money that you earn yourself, values, self worth, status). This may play out publicly or in private (the 8th house is a very private place).

I'm not doing Meghan as I don't trust her date of birth so it would be a waste of my time and effort (I believe she is older than she claims to be, at least 4 years older).

On Friday the 14th, at 02:59, there’s a total lunar eclipse at 23°58’ of Virgo. This is the first eclipse of the season, and it occurs in the North Node. Endings that propel beginnings will occur in the Virgo house of your birth chart. After this event, the window of 15 days between eclipses opens. This window is a very strange time.

Energy Update: Eclipse Season, March 2025

The Basics

There was a (dramatic music): Total Eclipse of the Sun!

Of the many celestial events we experience, our solar and lunar eclipses garner the most attention, and for good reason! A solar eclipse can block out the light of the brightest day, and a lunar eclipse often glows low and red in the sky. The eclipses felt magical and unpredictable to the layperson, but they are actually one of the earliest astronomical phenomena that sky gazers figured out.

You see, it is all simple mathematics:

The Sun, Earth, and Moon move in their orbits in particular ways that we can map out and predict. When they align in one way, the earth falls directly in between the Sun and Moon, blocking out the light of a full moon. When they align in the other, the Moon passes in front of the Sun, momentarily blocking US from its light. These two events happen twice a year in pairs*, precisely two weeks apart.

Astronomers and astrologers have been studying this for so long that we know the two points in the sky - where - at any exact moment in time - the Sun and Moon would have to sit to create a perfect (total) eclipse. We call these points the lunar nodes.

The lunar nodes move much like the planets, but they are different in that they move in retrograde motion (backward through the signs of the horoscope). Each set of nodes spends about 1.5 years in a given pair of opposing signs.

Remember: our lunar events are created by an opposition or conjunction between the Sun and the Moon. We have a new moon when the Sun and Moon share the same degree. We have a full moon when the Sun and Moon share the same degree in opposing signs.

In January, our lunar nodes changed positions from the axis of Aries-Libra to Pisces-Virgo. This changes what signs our eclipses will fall into, as eclipses always fall in conjunction with either the North or the South Node.

This season's eclipses are mixed; we will get a total lunar eclipse in Virgo (the new axis) and a partial solar eclipse in Aries (the old axis).

*Very occasionally threes, but I digress.

The Nitty Gritty

Eclipses get very maligned by superstition and sometimes first-hand experience; there is no denying that. Even with all the modern technology and understanding of how lucky (!!!!) we are to experience this celestial phenomenon, they still can feel liminal at best or downright terrifying if you aren't prepared for them.

Supersition and fear are handy elements for the magician, right? Yet many people caution against the backfire effect of casting magic in and around the dates and times of eclipses.

I won't tell you what to do; I'm not your Mom, and I don't care that much. I can say that if you are the type who needs to be in complete control, DNI. And the other half of that caveat, if you like to fuck around and find out, eclipses are the day to do it.

Since astrology has been in bed with magic since the middle ages, you can see astrological transits as opening and closing windows and doors that increase or decrease your success rates with certain types of magic. One door makes you larger (with Jupiter in it), and another makes you small...

Eclipses do something else. They open the windows AND the doors.

Some people claim they open the RIGHT windows and doors and close others, and that you should pay attention because you can learn a lot about your life and who should be in it during eclipse season, and I have found this advice to be sound in my own life, so I will pass it along.

Eclipses are wildcard energy and turn everything up to 11. It can go really, really well or quite poorly. Maybe both, one right after another. Maybe both at exactly the right time.

Whenever I see an astrologer who has decided that they can predict a particular eclipse season, I smile a little bit.

You can't see what's on the other side of a door that hasn't been opened yet. You can guess, and maybe even make an educated guess.

But that door is still closed.

It opens on 3/14 at 6:47 am (-4/EDT).

May the fates be in your favor, or whatever.

Not all people notice all eclipses - some people are not sensitive to whatever is going on around them for whatever reason (I sure wish I had that superpower), and the closer the eclipse season overlaps with your natal birth chart, the more you will likely be affected. But the eclipses don't just happen in our personal lives - the effect the energy of the entire world.

The particular set of eclipses is overcharged or power-packed, depending on how you want to look at it. We're in the midst of a major planetary alignment (I'm sure you've read about it in the news) where 1/4 of all of our planets are in Pisces and Aries. Moreover, four of these planets are doing so as a part of their retrograde cycles; meaning that they will cross over the boundary from Pisces into Aries and then retrograde back into Pisces, and then return in prograde motion a third time.

Venus will be retrograde for the entire two weeks of this eclipse season, and Mercury retrogrades the day after our lunar eclipse.

Maybe triple liminality will cancel itself out?

All bets are off the table. If you need to drastically change the course of something, that is the moment for you.

I would check out the post I wrote about 00° Aries and the magical opportunities that come along with it. The dates of the two eclipses and many others are on the list I wrote below—all these transits fall between 23° Pisces and 09° Aries.

I want to highlight these degrees again and point out:

Venus retrogrades from 10° Aries to 24° Pisces. Mercury retrogrades from 09° Aries to 26° Pisces.

We don't see astrological alignments like this very often.

If you are interested in working these energies, I would suggest only picking the dates of the eclipses if you are trying, directly, to work with the eclipsed moon energy.

And a reminder: a solar eclipse lessens the power of the sun. A lunar eclipse lessens the power of the moon.

The days between the eclipses will be three times liminal, and I am eager to work on this energy myself.
