The Hotel Chain General Manager: Desert Spring Part 2
Desert Spring Part 1
"Hey ladies, need any help with that?"
Tumblr media
"Oh no, we're good,"
"Are you sure? Do you know the hotel got this insane soothing gel that helps really well with sore muscle? I swear by its quality, my pecs cramped after yesterday's insane chest day, the hotel PT applied this gel and the cramp instantly vanished," he said as his pecs twitched, a deliberate move from his end intended to arouse the two girls that giggled upon seeing the pecs twitch
"Well, I guess there's nothing wrong to try, our legs can use some soothing gel after all,"
"No, no, let me apply it to you two. You can just sit back, relax and enjoy the sensation," he said with a smirk as he squeezed the tube to release this huge dollop of black, sparkly cream, "no worries, the color will not affect your skin tone or anything, it's very quick to absorb into your skin," he added quickly as he watched the look of bewilderment in both girls face as they probably surprised to see the shiny pitch black texture of the gel.
He quickly positioned himself in between both girls's sun bed, ready to apply the supposed soothing gel. Once the gel made contact to the girls skin and sat for around several seconds, their amused and curious expression due to the chilling sensation instantly contracted into one filled with terror as they started to feel numb
"W---what the fuck w--was th--th---at? UNGGHHHHHHHH HH---" she shrieked, yet Reiner quickly covered her mouth so she stopped screaming while staring sinisterly at the other girl
"E....rin....I think he dr---drugged us,"
"Welcome to the pack, ladies, we will have a great time after you two fully turned into my slut puppets," Reiner said triumphantly with his misogynistic nature oozes out like the real Reiner would, yet another conversion he managed to pull off for the day and he's far from over
Tumblr media
---
"That's a very scalable approach, to be honest. Rather than installing these hidden trap doors and whatnot, just put them in the utilities or the amenities. But you did that in-house?"
"Yeah, will make shit easier if we can just takeover our amenities partner factory and do it right from the source, but this is good enough because we can make the takeover more targeted,"
"Sounds about right. It's a more sure success anyway because the concentration is not going to be diluted if for example I squeezed myself into a small 100ml gel tube or 10ml toothpaste. Imagine how many of us needed to effectively affect an entire industrial vat of soothing gel?"
"Yeah, not to mention the ego,"
---
Colin lodged off two huge lump of black sludge to the sauna heater to infect the entirety of the heater and its resulting steam. He didn't take into account the potency of the steam for a takeover in comparison to a whole sludge taking over an individual, resulting in several slightly numb yet still fully-human vessels not ripe yet for picking.
Tumblr media
Aside from that, the two black sludge actually infused altogether when they turned into steam and resulted in the men taken over by the infected steam to be controlled by two non-dominant entities that might cancel out each other's influence over the human brain, enabling the possibility of these human to break-free from their subjugation
Tumblr media
Faced with crisis of having bunch of idiots walking around with their mind fucked by half-arsed alien invader that might return to their original human state and ruined everything, Colin then decided to call Micah and George to help him out to fully convert these men.
A simple breeding session in the sauna later, not only these men reached point of no return of being human, the infusion of differing-origin sludges caused them to be stronger than the rest of their pack, and they returned the favor given by the Shredded Bros as they bend those jocks over and started fucking the shit out of their hole inside the steaming-hot, packed-to-the-brim sauna
Tumblr media Tumblr media
---
"So out of the whole guests.....per your calculation, how many of them converted from using the amenities?"
"I say.....20-30%, but they are the more aggressive one for takeover as they tend to attack their roommate or just general public more compared to the one we hid in trap doors or room fixtures,"
"Maybe hiding them so secretly caused them to be more cautious?"
"Maybe, but I'm not reaching that kind of conclusion yet"
---
"Dude, what the fuck, taking that long is one thing, but the screaming is a bit too much, don't you think? Are you okay? What the fuck happened to you?"
"Uh.....oh.....well, you know---"
Tumblr media
"It cannot be that good bro, be fucking for real,"
"Well, what if I show you how good it feels?"
Tumblr media
"Bro, ewww fuck no. What's gotten into you, bro? If this is a prank, you better stop this homo BS, it ain't cool, y'know?"
"You really need to stop saying all those words without knowing the implication, bro. You make me aroused beyond belief with your obliviousness," he said as he let the towel around his waist dropped to the floor to reveal a bobbing hard-on that looked ready to breed at its 7.5 inches gorgeous length
"Stop it right there you gay ass motherfucker! I'm telling the others how freaky you are,"
Yet before Diego managed to do so, Jesse already caught up to him and grabbed him from behind. It didn't take long before Jesse somehow overpowered the much bigger Diego and before long, Diego's hole already seeded with the black, viscous invader that took control within minutes over his body. Feeling submissive and apologetic to his senior, it used Diego's body to worship "Jesse", much to "Jesse's" delight. They tussled across the room, exploring each others bodies until the two of them reach their climax and laughed it off with their bated breath as the mess they just did started to sink in to their mind. With yet another mischievous smirk, both men cleaned themselves up and they started texting their other friends to gather in their room for a "quick surprise" courtesy of the roommate-turned-couple
"You think they'll see it coming?"
"Nah, too dumb. Besides, we can definitely play it off a bit for a while before we revealed the whole thing to them. I'm going for Ricky by the way,"
"Then Jerome is mine? Sure thing. Ricky is smaller, so do work on Bill after you take Ricky down,"
"No problem,"
Tumblr media
---
The three college girls just giggled when Bill excused himself to enter the elevator
He positioned himself to the back end of the otherwise empty elevator, but he knows pretty well that his objective resided inside of him and it is attainable to achieve. As for the girls, little did they know, danger literally breathed right on top of their neck as they're about to see the world from Bill's perspective even before they arrived on the first floor, if he's in the mood......

In "Perp Walk", what do you think Bruce means when he says Joker "made him better"?
I have a few answers to this, starting with how the comic places the dialogue over visuals that, despite the lack of Red Hood, appear to recount Joker's fall into the vat.
Tumblr media
[Batman: the Brave and the Bold #13]
Bruce had been Batman for some time before that night. I believe it's usually a year or so? But anyway, he says that he started out thinking of himself as a symbol of fear and justice, and note that "justice" is positioned over the fall into the vat. Initially this feels like it indicates the fall is a deserved consequence, but then the next panel with Bruce pulling Joker out, says, "Joker changed all that." As in Joker made him rethink his approach of focusing on fear and justice, which puts a different light on the "justice" panel, implying that it was anything but. Joker was only fleeing from a robbery that night, after all.
As the page goes on, the panels focus the pain and horror of Joker's transformation and Bruce's reaction to it. Bruce's face first looks determined, then shifts to wide-eyed surprise, and then appears understandably disturbed by the acid eating away at Joker's face. And over this, Bruce says that Joker changed him. Certainly over the years Joker pushed Bruce to confront greater threats than he ever imagined, but with this imagery, I also take this remark to mean that Bruce had to rethink being a force only of fear and justice. Even if Joker refused to be a beneficiary of any compassion Batman offered, Bruce saw firsthand how reacting to crime only with intimidation and violence compounded the problem he was trying to address.
We can also zoom out to the meta perspective. Joker has been Bruce's primary nemesis since 1940, and a hero is only as impressive as the challenges they overcome. The Clown Prince of Crime's schemes escalate higher and higher as time goes on, and Bruce continues to deliver defeat after defeat. It's this perseverence as a nonpowered hero that's made Batman a figure of hope to so many people, and of course contributed his indelible mark on pop culture. (And yes I still say this as someone who constantly talks about how insane he is.)
Joker making Batman better has been mentioned in comics before this, of course. A recent example is Snyder's Death of the Family storyline, in which Joker insists to Batman that his human connections make him soft, and that he was a better Batman when he was a loner.
Tumblr media
[Batman (2011) #13]
You know how you help your pal and get back to how things used to be by trying to convince him to kill his own family.
Obviously Bruce does not do that, and he protests that his family makes him better. And yet throughout this whole ordeal, Bruce has to rise above and use all his skills to stop Joker like always.
Joker pushing Batman happens again not too many years after that in Tynion's Joker War. Through elaborate machinations, Joker takes away Bruce's fortune, his main resource in fighting, incapacitates him, and unleashes anarchy, like ya do. In their final confrontation, Joker gives this speech about his reasoning:
Tumblr media
[Batman (2016) #100]
All this talk about how Bruce doesn't even understand the city, and yet Joker's endgame here is to force Batman to start over from nothing. He expects Bruce to get back up again, to work at correcting his mistakes.
Of course, Joker ends up defeated. But in the next issue, Bruce says that in some ways, Joker was correct:
Tumblr media
[Batman (2016) #101]
And Bruce does make some changes, such as moving from the manor to the brownstone in the city to live among the people he protects.
Now, considering the context, one may return to Bruce's appreciation in "Perp Walk" and think, "Hey, Bruce, you remember Joker killed people, right?" Yes! Welcome to batjokes.

some bnha thoughts, on this sunny monday morning (or lunchtime, by the time i finish typing sdlkfjdlsk):
💥 got walloped with a return of the post-362 grief, with the latest episode of the anime lmao. unfortunately this means i am currently in my feelies, so thank u for bearing with me as i cycle through them in the form of shitposting. 🥹
💥 speaking of the anime, i’m sad they didn’t adapt one of my favourite panels from 360, where bakugou (or shiggy? it’s never really stated, but tbh i’ve always kinda assumed it’s shiggy imagining it LOL, maybe they both are? a joint moment of horror/delight where everyone knows exactly what’s about to happen 🥹) are imagining bakugou being torn apart by shiggy’s gross giant maggot fingers sdlkjlsdjflksdjf. i mean, i get why bones didn’t adapt it (bc they’re cheapskates and and also bc it is a show for children LMFAOOOO) but it’s a really cool example of how hard hori’s art can go, and also what im chalking up as his secret wish to write a horror story lmaoooo.
🪱🧵 i am biting my nails the closer we get to the end of the manga. chapter 428 was fun—bakugou and todoroki hiding behind iida as iida gently berates their newfound fangirls was so cute, lmao. also the revelation that edgeshot is slowly… regenerating? is….. interesting. i’m disappointed that hori didn’t kill him for a couple of reasons: the first one is my most selfish, and it’s bc i planned on edgeshot being dead for my halloween fic lmfao, now i gotta rework that whole angle. 💀😪 but the second reason is more pressing and that’s bc hori is a COWARD who NEVER kills off ANYONE that has INTERESTING CONSEQUENCES. and also bc he only likes killing off girls 💀 (we’ll circle back to this point). idk, i mean, for as much as i act like the grim reaper and whinge about mha not being depressing enough (lmao), the story that hori’s been writing has always been like, pretty easy to understand. hope connection blah blah blah (i say that lovingly).
HOWEVER,
💚🍵🩸 there are a few deaths i’ve always kinda expected, in the series, with the top of that list being shiggy and dabi. i was like, hopeful toga wouldn’t die, mostly bc i wanted hori to prove me wrong with his GIRL MURDERER AGENDA, but. 💀 cue the clown music, ig. and hey, maybe toga isn’t dead—maybe she’s just in a coma or in prison and ochako’s being emo bc she wants the world to see toga as a teenage girl and not a blood-sucking murdering psycho, and i HOPE that’s the case!!! i do!!!! like, are you seriously going to tell me dabi is somehow still alive (for now, anyways. do NOT come for me, that man got deep fried in the deepest oil vats of McHell!!!!) but toga gets the chop? 😒 like i actually fully expect tenko to come stumbling back (literally!!!) so you cannot tell me you save the dustpile AND the deepfriend mctodo just to axe the blood sucker!!!!! let them all live if ur gonna be a coward about it, hori!!!!! this is what i mean about interesting consequences. 😔 the only consequence we’re getting so far is deku and ochako both kinda 🫤🥺😦ing their way into a confession LOL. i’m being mean—i think the next chapter will be them both confronting their guilt over like, not being able to “save” their villains, and that if we do get a confession of feelies it’ll be something like ochako saying, “i like you deku, and/but i want to be a great hero too, to save people like toga in the future”. 🥹 maybe??? guess we’ll see. 🥺
🌇💀 my pet theory for the vaguely-tenko shaped rando that’s stumbling through the rumble is that it is indeed tenko, and that deku will somehow find him to help him and that’s how deku will get his powers back. and if he doesn’t and hori ends the series with deku being quirkless i will actually, and i mean this very sincerely, stop writing fanfic LMFAOOOO. ok im maybe like, half joking. 😒 but i have never been a fan of the quirkless deku ending and now im getting scared that’s what we’re gonna get!!!!! 😦 in one of his latest interviews, hori mentions something about wanting to strip away labels from people (characters) to see the human underneath them? soooo i guess we’ll just have to trust in him and these next two (TWO) chapters. 🥹
for all my whinging i do like bnha lmao. i whinge because i like it, and tbh i probably wouldn’t change a thing of it. 🥺 all the frustrating gaps—like those perceived consequences i keep getting worked up over the lack of—are what makes it fun to write and read fic for. 🥹 and it’s been fun watching the characters change!!! i was in a bookstore, yesterday, picking up a copy of volume 38 and the girl at the counter and i started talking about the series—the pros and cons of binging it vs keeping up weekly, the change in bakugou’s character and how reading over fics with him and his older characterisation can be kinda hard, now. how scary it was that it’s coming to an end!!! she and i have talked before—when i was buying volume 36 lmao—about whether bakugou could be canonically read as queer vs asexual, and like, idk any other series that has such a mainstream reach that you could have these outside conversations with other people in your day to day, outside of a twitter or tumblr sphere! that’s the power of my hero. and im glad to be here for the ride. and no matter how it ends, it’ll be fun, and worth it. 🥹

Allow me to analyze the toxic, codependent mess that is Rick and Morty's relationship.
Starting off with the abuser, Rick Sanchez!
Tumblr media
As much as I love this traumatized, lonely, toxic, abusive old man, he is a horrible person. While he certainly does care about Morty more than anything, the way he treats Morty is anything but healthy, he'll constantly hurl insults at the poor kid, calls the kid replaceable, and makes the kid feel worthless. He acts like a child when it comes to Morty, since he is shown to be extremely jealous, controlling, and possessive of Morty. One of the best examples of this is in "Vindicators 3: Return of Worldender" where Rick straight up put the Vindicators (Aka Morty's heros) into a saw-like death game just out of drunken jealously. While the Vindicators were pieces of shit, this was the most immature, childish way he could've proved it. He also had Morty give up on his dreams when he was afraid of Morty leaving him in "One Crew Coocoo over Morty", he has also stopped Morty's attempts to make new friends his age, this is more subtle, but it's scattered around multiple episodes, the Pilot and Rest and Ricklaxation, where Morty has attempted to talk to Jessica, but Rick interrupts it and pulls Morty away, which Morty having his only friend be his 70 year old grandpa definitely isn't helping things for the already traumatized kid. Rick wants to be Morty's hero, he wants to be Morty's best friend, but he treats Morty so horribly that Morty can't tell. Morty should be aloud to have one friend his age. It's even been confirmed in "The Jerrick Trap" that most of his contact are crime lords, which again can't be healthy! But moving back onto Rick, the reason why I personally believe he is so horrible to Morty is due to his trauma, his wife and child died in front of him, and he blames himself for their deaths, thinking it's his fault, so he's definitely scared to care about others again. And while I certainly feel sympathy for him, that's no excuse to treat your grandson like crap. I do think he, on some level needs Morty, which is where the codependency comes in, as we can see in "Rest and Ricklaxation" Rick turned into a wreck when Morty wasn't around for three weeks. According to Jessica, he's been drunk dialing her and crying about Morty being gone, which, while sweet, shows that he's unable to function without Morty around, showing my argument that Morty is the only stabilizing thing in Rick's life, which is certainly unhealthy, Morty is his 14-year-old grandson, not a therapist. He seems to completely rely on Morty for most things, he relies on Morty to get him food (Rickfending your Mort), he relies on Morty for validation and emotional support (Mutiple episodes, an example is Vat of Acid, where he got so upset that Morty didn't validate his ego that he traumatized the kid). He's definitely changing as we can see in season 6 and 7, but the damage he's done to Morty's psyche has already been done, and the only person who can forgive him for that is Morty, speaking of which...
Let's switch gears to our favorite traumatized child, Morty!
Tumblr media
Now I absolutely love Morty, he's my son, and poor traumatized child who deserves all the love in the world, and a good grandpa. Now Morty started the series off pretty naive, as we can see in "Pilot" where he was against shooting people, and when he did, was shown to be shocked and horrified by what he's done, meanwhile in "Mort: Raganrick" he guns down multiple people, and kills a guy with a candlestick with no reaction. And Morty, on a level, needs Rick as well, which is where the codependency kicks in for Morty, when you think about it, Rick is really the only friend Morty has, a toxic friend, but the only one he has, due to Rick's adventures, Morty is unable to make any other friends his age, which can't be helping things, while he relies on Rick less, he was shown to be heartbroken when he left (The two crows episode, I forgot the name), and attempted to get him back twice, even aging himself up to attempt to emotionally blackmail Rick into coming back "Rickmurai Jack" he even has been shown in "Fear No Mort" that he believes that Rick doesn't care about him at all, which makes sense considering how horrible Rick treats Morty on a daily basis.
Whew! That was a long post! I hope you enjoyed reading it and have a lovely rest of your day/night

The Economic Power of Land
Class-struggle anarchists focus their activities on the conflict between the working class and the bosses. Nowadays the usual image of the ruling class is as industrialists and financiers; the land-owning aristocracy are not considered to be the main source of capitalist power. Our analysis firmly describes landowners as an integral part of the ruling class, both in the sense of holding real economic power and in the ideological role they play in keeping the working class in their place. The land-owning class and their lackeys are a fundamental part of the British ruling class and are immensely powerful and well organised. We ignore them at our peril.
Despite propaganda about impoverished aristos and the supposed increase in land ownership by the government and the National Trust, around 80% of Britain’s land is in private hands. A hard core of titled families own almost one-third of Britain, with 60%-70% of these owning at least 5,000 acres. The Crown’s holdings are enormous: 335,000 acres of farmland, 38,285 acres of commercial forest, the entire shoreline, half the foreshore! The Queen’s private holdings are separate from this and include 50,000 at Balmoral, 20,000 acres at Sandringham and 50,000 acres of Lancaster. The Duke of Buccleuch owns 277,000 acres of Scotland and 11,000 acres of Northamptonshire. Despite the image of the struggling farmer promoted by the Countryside Alliance, the average farm size is 170 acres, much higher than the average in the rest of the EC. And consolidation of farm holdings is increasing: when a farm is sold it is other farmers that buy it. Owning land may not appear to confer economic power and wealth in an economy dominated by industry and commerce. Many landowners like to give the impression that it is a great burden. Looked at more carefully, land ownership brings enormous benefits. The value of the land itself is the first source of wealth. Since the Development Land Tax was abolished in 1985, increases in the value of land for development are subject only to a capital gains tax. Other ways of making money from the land include leasing it out to farmers, hunting and fishing rights and mining. For example, the Duke of Derbyshire receives an estimated £1.8 million in royalties every year for the mining of Derbyshire limestone. Though landowners are associated with the countryside, they also own much of urban Britain. The most well-known is the Duke of Westminster who owns a large chunk of central London including Mayfair and Belgravia. Agriculture and forestry bring the greatest benefits, chiefly in the form of subsidies. Farmers are exempt from rates on agricultural land and buildings and are also exempt from paying VAT. It is estimated that the combined benefit from all subsidies comes to £20-£30,000 per year per farmer. Forestry is another good source of income (and handouts). There has been a great increase in forestation in recent years, of which 80% is in the private sector. But while planting conifers offers a quick return its causes many ecological problems.

I love how when it came to the way of rewriting most characters, we either keep most of their personalities and traits the same or just hit the restart button and make them COMPLETELY different than what they were in the show.
Like take Pac for example, in the show he's an absolute goof, he's willing to do his job to prevent a full strike of chaos, and he's pretty optimistic and positive towards the people he cares about. Yet he still can get aggressive very fast and has some angry outbursts a lot.
But from what I've seen of the way the fandom writes him most of the time, it's either his outbursts are more controlled, he's more anxious and nervous than anything, and he's way more wholesome and emotional. Or.... He's the cause of the chaos.
Personally it's just something I've seen not only in a few of your works, but others too. It's either we keep them the way they are, make a few tweaks, or just throw canon out the window and throw them into a vat of fanon behavior. :')
Yup!! Show's our playground now, we can do with canon whatever we want xD
I do like taking creative liberties, but I'll admit that I often prefer to stay true to the source material in terms of its charm or certain canon aspects. Or at least at this stage of the game... (I'm often playing around with new fanfic ideas for whenever CMC or TV is finished, and some of them do kinda throw canon out the window lol)
Generally, I like to keep the characters close to how they are in canon, but add a few bonuses. Kinda like levelling them up, y'know? With Pac, I do really like how he already is in canon, and instead of adding more personality traits to him, I'd rather deepen or accentuate his existing traits. Like...
Canon Pac is afraid of losing his aunt? Cool, let's make it so that his fear is so deep that he sometimes has nightmares over it. Which contributes to his overall nervousness in some instances. Why does he tend to get nervous? Cuz of a troubled childhood when he was too concerned with pleasing his peers in order to fit in, which may or may not have led to a lot of anxiousness in his childhood, which may or may not have developed into panic attacks. Make this an additional aspect of his personality and inner demons, and couple it with his canon self. What do we get? An absolute goof who's noble and good at doing his job and who's optimistic and positive towards the people he cares about, BUT underneath that hard-working, kind exterior is a little boy who still struggles with anxiety and a lot of self-doubt/inferiority, and he hides it well because he doesn't want to be a burden to others (stemming from his people-pleasing childhood AND from his new responsibilities as Pacworld's protector), and so he'll do everything in his power to do good, but often to the detriment of his own mental health...which or may not see a return of his panic attacks.
Boom. You've got canon Pac with an extra sprinkle of trauma.
And if you think Pac has it hard, wait until you see what I've got cooking up for Cyli, Spiral, and Elli.

UK Tax Deadlines You Can’t Afford to Miss
Tumblr media
If there’s one thing every UK taxpayer should mark in their calendar, it’s their tax deadlines. Whether you're self-employed, running a limited company, or managing payroll for employees, missing key tax dates can cost you dearly — in late fees, interest charges, and needless stress.
In this blog, we’ll guide you through the essential UK tax deadlines for individuals, businesses, and employers. We’ll also offer some practical tips to help you stay on top of your tax responsibilities all year round.
Why Tax Deadlines Matter
Tax deadlines aren’t just dates to remember — they’re legal obligations. Missing them can lead to penalties that pile up quickly. For example, submitting your Self Assessment tax return just one day late could result in an immediate £100 fine. And that’s just the beginning.
More than that, failing to meet tax deadlines can:
Damage your relationship with HMRC
Result in higher interest on unpaid taxes
Affect your business’s credit rating
Cause cash flow problems or missed financial planning opportunities
In short: staying organised pays off — literally.
Key UK Tax Deadlines for Individuals
If you're self-employed, a landlord, or have additional income that isn't taxed at source, these dates are especially important:
1. 31 January – Self Assessment Deadline
This is one of the most crucial dates in the UK tax calendar. By midnight on 31 January, you must:
Submit your online Self Assessment tax return for the previous tax year
Pay any income tax you owe
Make your first ‘payment on account’ for the current tax year
2. 5 April – End of the Tax Year
The UK tax year runs from 6 April to 5 April. This is the last day to:
Use up tax allowances (e.g., ISA contributions, pension top-ups)
Claim certain tax reliefs or expenses
3. 6 April – New Tax Year Begins
A fresh start! This is when new tax rules, rates, or thresholds often come into effect. It’s also when you can start preparing your records for the next return.
4. 31 July – Second Payment on Account
If you’re required to make advance payments towards your next tax bill, this is the due date for your second payment on account.
5. Amendments to Tax Returns
If you discover an error in your return, you usually have up to 12 months from the 31 January deadline to make amendments.
Important Tax Deadlines for Businesses
Whether you’re running a limited company or VAT-registered enterprise, here are the key dates to watch:
1. Corporation Tax
Filing: Your company tax return (CT600) is due 12 months after the end of your accounting period.
Payment: The tax must usually be paid 9 months and 1 day after your accounting year ends.
2. VAT Returns
Most businesses submit VAT returns quarterly. Deadlines typically fall one month and seven days after the end of the VAT period.
For example, if your VAT quarter ends 31 March, your return and payment are due by 7 May.
3. PAYE and National Insurance
If you pay employees, your PAYE and NIC liabilities must be paid either monthly (by the 22nd of each month if paying electronically) or quarterly (for smaller businesses).
4. CIS Returns
If you operate in construction and use subcontractors, CIS returns are due by the 19th of each month, detailing payments made.
5. P11D & P11D(b) Forms
These forms report employee benefits and expenses. Submit by 6 July, with payment of related Class 1A NIC due by 22 July (or 19 July if paying by cheque).
Tax Deadlines for Employers
Employers have their own set of responsibilities:
Real Time Information (RTI) submissions must be made on or before each payday.
P60s must be given to employees by 31 May each year.
P45s should be issued promptly when an employee leaves.
Failing to meet these can result in penalties from HMRC and confusion for employees.
Less-Known Deadlines You Shouldn’t Ignore
Some tax-related dates fly under the radar but are just as important:
Claiming Tax Refunds
You generally have four years from the end of a tax year to claim overpaid tax. After that, HMRC may not accept your request.
Registering for Self Assessment
If you’re newly self-employed or need to file a return for any reason, you must register with HMRC by 5 October after the end of the relevant tax year.
Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Reporting
If you sell property or other assets and owe CGT, you must report it and pay within 60 days of completion.
ISA and Pension Contributions
To take advantage of annual allowances, contributions must be made by 5 April.
What Happens If You Miss a Deadline?
HMRC applies strict penalties for late submissions and payments. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Self Assessment late filing:
£100 penalty immediately after the deadline
Additional penalties after 3, 6, and 12 months
Late payments:
Interest charged from the day after the deadline
Additional penalties after 30 days, 6 months, and 12 months
VAT:
Surcharges may apply if you're late more than once in a 12-month period
If you miss a deadline, act quickly. File as soon as possible and contact HMRC if you have a reasonable excuse. In some cases, you may appeal the penalty.
Tips to Stay Ahead of Your Tax Calendar
Don’t let deadlines creep up on you. Here are a few ways to stay organised:
Use Digital Tools
Accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, or Free Agent can remind you of key dates and auto-submit returns.
Set Calendar Alerts
Use your phone, Google Calendar, or a wall planner to mark critical dates well in advance.
Work with an Accountant
A good accountant will do more than just file your returns—they’ll help you stay compliant, avoid penalties, and plan efficiently.
Keep Records Updated
Whether it’s receipts, invoices, or mileage logs, keeping your records in good shape makes tax season less stressful.
Don’t Let Tax Deadlines Catch You Out
Tax deadlines are more than just red dates on a calendar—they’re critical milestones that keep your personal finances or business running smoothly. Missing them can lead to fines, stress, and lost opportunities.
With the right preparation and support, staying compliant doesn’t have to be difficult.
Stay informed.
Plan ahead.
Ask for help when needed.
If you’d like support navigating your tax obligations or want professional assistance filing your returns, don’t hesitate to reach out to a trusted accountant or tax advisor.

Navigating Taxes in Dubai: Why the Right Consultant Matters
Dubai is famous for its skyscrapers, high living standards, and business climate. It has been renowned for decades as a "tax-free" city, attracting investors and business owners from across the globe. Although Dubai does not have personal income tax, the tax scenario has changed dramatically in recent years. Now, with the introduction of VAT, corporate tax, and international reporting requirements, the services of seasoned Tax consultants in dubai have become more critical than ever before.
Whether you’re a small business owner, a large corporation, or a freelancer operating out of a co-working space, staying on the right side of local tax laws isn’t optional anymore—it’s essential. But understanding tax obligations in the UAE can feel like wading through murky waters. This is where skilled tax consultants come into play.
What Does a Tax Consultant in Dubai Actually Do?
Dubai tax consultant does more than assist you in filing tax returns. Their effort begins with the fact-finding process of your business model, revenue configuration, and operational objectives. From there, they advise you on how to adhere to applicable tax legislation, limit liabilities within legal parameters, and steer clear of penalties that may arise due to miscomprehension of the system.
Tumblr media
With the recent imposition of corporate tax and economic substance rules by the UAE, companies are now mandated to keep accurate books of account, make timely filings, and substantiate the economic substance of their activities. This is especially important for businesses that have global connections or ones that have free zone licenses.
A professional consultant makes sure you’re not only compliant today but also set up for future changes in regulation. This foresight can save a business from legal troubles and financial surprises.
Understanding VAT and Corporate Tax in the UAE
VAT came to the UAE in 2018 at a rate of 5%. It sounds simple enough on the surface: you charge VAT on sales and recover it on purchases. But in practice, doing VAT properly involves profound knowledge. What's zero-rated? What's exempt? When do you sign up, and how do you make returns? If you mess this up, it can be penalties galore.
Next was corporate tax. As of June 2023, companies with more than AED 375,000 in annual revenues are eligible for a 9% corporate tax. Most small businesses, who never imagined they'd ever require tax consulting, are now struggling in a world of accounting requirements, tax planning strategies, and regulatory changes. Having someone in your corner who is intimately familiar with these new regulations can make a huge difference for you.
Why Dubai Businesses Need Professional Tax Guidance
Here's the reality: tax compliance doesn't mean trouble-avoidance—it's intelligent planning. With a savvy consultant, you can maximize your financial setup, make tactical reinvestment decisions, and have clean, open books.
Most importantly, you remain concentrated on what you are best at—business development—and the consultant attends to the tax aspect. This is particularly important for SMEs that do not have the resources to employ a permanent in-house finance function.
Also, in Dubai, there's a blend of companies: from multinational companies to single business owners. They have varying tax obligations. A professional tax advisor customizes services according to your particular needs, be it a seller on e-commerce, for example, a construction firm, or a software startup.
The Human Side of Tax Consulting
Tax isn't about numbers and forms—it's a people business. A good consultant listens. They ask the right questions, they know your industry, and they speak plainly without dumping jargon on you. They take the time to walk you through the steps, spell out the reasoning behind decisions, and work with you all year round—not just at tax time.
This type of collaboration makes a difference. You don't want someone to just crunch numbers for you; you want someone who considers your business their own. Someone who is concerned about your success.
Making the Right Tax Consultant Choice in Dubai
There are no shortlisting firms that provide tax advice in Dubai. So how do you select the right one?
Seek experience, above all else. A consultant who has consulted to clients in your field will understand where the pitfalls are and how to sidestep them. Transparency is another essential quality—your consultant should not be afraid to be open about fees, timelines, and what they have to offer.
Certifications are important too. Though the UAE does not require all tax advisors to be locally licensed, a global accounting or taxation background (such as ACCA, CPA, or CA qualifications) is a surefire sign of professional competence.
Final Thoughts
Dubai is still one of the most appealing locations on the globe to establish and expand a business. But the era of doing things without fiscal discipline is over. With an increasingly stronger regulatory regime, the threat of non-compliance grows—so does the requirement for good counsel.
Having the proper Tax consultants in dubai is no longer a luxury. It's a strategic business choice that safeguard your finances, accelerates your growth, and allows you to do what you do best.
If you're running a business in Dubai, don't wait until tax season hits or a compliance notice lands in your inbox. A good consultant will not only keep you out of trouble—they’ll help you make better decisions all year round.

VAT Consultant for Healthcare and Medical Services – Powered by Rapid Business Solutions
Tumblr media
VAT and Healthcare: Where Precision Meets Peace of Mind (Yes, Really)
So here’s a scenario you might know all too well.
A busy private clinic in Dubai submits its quarterly VAT return. Everything seems in order—until a letter arrives. The Federal Tax Authority has flagged discrepancies in the clinic’s VAT classification of medical supplies. What follows is a tangle of clarifications, late penalties, and a whole lot of stress.
Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing—when you’re running a healthcare business, you’re focused on people, not paperwork. But VAT doesn’t care. It’s exacting, fast-evolving, and, when mishandled, absolutely unforgiving.
Healthcare + VAT = It's Complicated
Now, on paper, VAT seems straightforward: tax on goods and services. But in healthcare? It’s more like threading a needle blindfolded. Some medical services are zero-rated, some are exempt, others fully taxable—and the margins between them are razor-thin.
For instance, a dental surgery might offer both cosmetic and medically necessary treatments. One attracts VAT, the other doesn’t. And when the wrong VAT code is applied? That’s a red flag on your audit file.
And let’s not even get started on imports. UAE clinics bringing in diagnostic equipment, or e-commerce pharmacies shipping health supplements across borders—there’s a maze of customs rules to navigate, each carrying VAT implications.
If you’re scratching your head, you’re not alone.
What Most Healthcare Businesses Get Wrong
Honestly, a lot of healthcare providers—smart, well-intentioned people—are making costly VAT mistakes without even realizing it.
Charging VAT where it doesn’t apply (think: medical consultations mistakenly billed with VAT)
Missing out on input VAT reclaims (you’re allowed to recover VAT on eligible business expenses—but only if records are immaculate)
Storing data across random spreadsheets, email chains, and desktop folders (an auditor’s worst nightmare)
And let’s be real. It's not just about making the numbers work. It’s about being able to sleep at night knowing the FTA won’t come knocking with unpleasant surprises.
What Does a VAT Consultant Actually Do?
Some folks think a VAT consultant is just a glorified tax filer. That’s like calling a cardiologist a “heart checker.”
A good VAT consultant—especially one who understands healthcare—becomes a strategic partner in your practice. Here's what they really bring to the table:
Pinpoint accuracy on VAT categorization—no more guesswork on exemptions
Custom planning for record-keeping, tax periods, reclaim processes
Real-time VAT monitoring—because issues don’t wait until tax season
Training your team (yes, even your front desk staff) to recognize VAT-sensitive tasks
From hospitals juggling multiple revenue streams to e-commerce pharmacies selling wellness supplements, a VAT expert helps cut through the clutter and keep you firmly on the right side of the law.
The Real ROI? Confidence, Compliance—and Cash
Let me share a quick example.
A small dermatology clinic in Sharjah—nothing fancy, just two doctors, a receptionist, and some laser equipment—hired a VAT consultant after nearly missing a VAT filing deadline. Not only did they avoid a hefty penalty, but they also discovered they’d been underclaiming input VAT for six months straight.
They ended up getting a refund.
It’s not always about saving massive amounts of money—though that happens, too. Sometimes, it’s about clarity. About freeing up headspace to focus on patient care rather than tax codes. About knowing that if the authorities ask for a file, you can send it over in minutes, not scramble for hours.
Because in the healthcare world, trust matters. And if you can’t trust your own compliance, why should your patients trust your operations?
Enter: Rapid Business Solutions (Not Your Average Tax Guys)
Now, I’m not here to pitch you, but let me flag something worth your radar.
Rapid Business Solutions isn’t just another VAT consultancy. They’ve carved out a niche by focusing on VAT for regulated sectors—especially healthcare and medical services in the UAE. Which means they get the nuance. They won’t ask you to explain the difference between a medical device and a personal care item—they already know.
What makes them stand out?
Deep regulatory insight tailored to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the wider UAE
Fast response times (because compliance waits for no one)
Smart tech integrations for managing VAT records and reports
Affordable packages even solo practitioners can swing
And yes—they work with hospitals, labs, aesthetic clinics, and even fitness and wellness brands selling hybrid services online.
Not Just Finance Anymore—VAT Touches Everything
Here's something that’s often overlooked: VAT is no longer just the finance department’s headache.
If you’re adjusting service pricing, bundling health checkups with optional wellness products, or running promotional campaigns—congrats, VAT is now your business too. Marketing teams, ops managers, even procurement officers need to have at least a working understanding of VAT.
Because the last thing you want is to run a "no VAT" campaign—only to find out that your offer should have had it applied.
Wrapping It All Up: Peace of Mind is Worth Every Fils
Here’s the takeaway: healthcare businesses have enough on their plates. Between licensing, insurance, staffing, and patient care, VAT should not be another migraine. And yet, mishandled VAT can eat into margins, trigger audits, and chip away at hard-earned trust.
A smart, healthcare-savvy VAT consultant doesn’t just keep your books clean—they help your whole business run smoother, sleep better, and serve more. So whether you’re running a thriving clinic in Dubai Marina, a local pharmacy in Sharjah, or a telehealth startup with global reach—don’t leave VAT to chance. Because precision isn’t just a medical virtue. In VAT, it’s a survival skill.

Stereo Headphone Amplifier Laws and Import Duties in Germany: What You Need to Know
Laws governing the import and use of stereo headphone amplifiers in Germany can affect your purchase decisions, especially if you’re buying from outside the European Union (EU). Understanding these regulations helps you avoid unexpected costs and ensures your amplifier meets local standards. Here’s what you should know before importing or using a stereo headphone amplifier in Germany.
Tumblr media
German and EU Product Safety Laws
When you buy a stereo headphone amplifier, it must comply with German and EU safety standards. The CE marking is mandatory for electronic devices sold in the EU, indicating conformity with health, safety, and environmental requirements. If your amplifier lacks this certification, it may be seized at customs or require costly modifications. Always check for CE compliance before purchasing, especially from non-EU sellers.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Regulations
Your amplifier must also meet Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards to prevent interference with other devices. German law enforces strict EMC rules under the EMVG (Electromagnetic Compatibility Act). Non-compliant amplifiers may face restrictions or recalls. Look for EMC certification details in the product specifications to ensure smooth importation and use.
Import Duties and Taxes
If you order a stereo headphone amplifier from outside the EU, you’ll likely encounter import duties and taxes. Germany applies a standard VAT (Value Added Tax) rate of 19% on imported goods. Additionally, customs duties may apply depending on the amplifier’s origin and value. For example, amplifiers from non-EU countries typically incur a duty rate between 0% and 4.5%. Use the German Customs website or a duty calculator to estimate your total costs before ordering.
Shipping and Customs Declarations
When your amplifier arrives in Germany, the shipping carrier or customs office may request proof of purchase and a detailed description of the item. Incorrect or incomplete paperwork can delay delivery. Ensure the seller provides an accurate invoice with the product’s value, harmonized system (HS) code, and country of origin. This helps customs process your package faster and avoids unnecessary fees.
Warranty and Consumer Rights
Your rights as a consumer differ depending on where you buy the amplifier. Purchases from EU sellers fall under German warranty laws, which grant you a minimum two-year guarantee. For non-EU purchases, warranty claims may be more complicated, requiring international shipping for repairs. Check the seller’s return policy and warranty terms before finalizing your order.
Final Considerations
Before importing a stereo headphone amplifier to Germany, verify its compliance with local laws, calculate potential duties, and review warranty conditions. Taking these steps ensures a smooth purchase process and helps you avoid unexpected expenses or legal issues. Stay informed to make the best decision for your audio setup.

VAT registration services for financial companies in UAE
Tumblr media
Let’s Talk VAT — Without the Jargon Overload
So, VAT. Three little letters that often cause a lot of head-scratching, especially for financial companies trying to navigate the UAE’s business ecosystem. Whether you’re a lean fintech startup, a seasoned accounting firm, or a mid-sized investment consultancy branching out into the Emirates—VAT registration isn’t just a legal checkbox. It’s a foundational move, one that can either keep your business frictionless or land you in the audit maze.
But here’s the thing: while the concept seems straightforward—“register your company, collect tax, pay the taxman”—the how, when, and what next can get messy fast. That’s where providers like Rapid Business Solution come into play.
Let’s walk through what really matters.
Why VAT Matters More for Financial Firms in the UAE
You might think, “Isn’t VAT the same for everyone?” Not quite. Financial services live in a bit of a gray zone. Some transactions are taxable, others are exempt, and a few sit awkwardly in the middle depending on how they're delivered.
For example:
Advisory services? Usually taxable.
Managing investment portfolios? Could be exempt.
Cross-border financial consulting? Often zero-rated.
Confusing, right? Imagine scaling your financial services while constantly worrying whether a client invoice should include VAT or not. It's like trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube while blindfolded—and under pressure.
This is why choosing the right VAT registration partner isn't just about paperwork; it's about insight.
Who Actually Needs to Register for VAT?
Short answer? If your annual taxable turnover exceeds AED 375,000—you legally must register. If it's above AED 187,500 but below that threshold, you can register voluntarily, which sometimes makes sense (more on that later).
But here’s where financial companies hit a twist: since exempt supplies aren’t “taxable,” your revenue might be misleading. A firm handling a lot of exempt financial activities may still fall below the threshold for mandatory registration. Sounds like a loophole? Not exactly. Because voluntary registration can actually offer strategic advantages—like reclaiming input VAT on expenses.
Still, most business owners don’t have time to map that all out. And that’s why this next part matters.
Rapid Business Solution: Not Just Form-Fillers, But Strategic Enablers
Let’s clear something up. A lot of “VAT consultants” in the UAE simply process your TRN (Tax Registration Number) application, hand over the docs, and vanish into the void. But Rapid Business Solution? They work differently.
They act more like your compliance co-pilot than a distant contractor.
Here’s what they offer that actually moves the needle:
Pre-registration Assessment – They don’t jump into forms. First, they analyze your financial activities, map exempt vs. taxable income, and then determine if registration is mandatory or voluntary.
Tailored Structuring Advice – If you’re running multiple entities, branches, or service lines, they can help you structure your VAT groups efficiently to minimize tax leakage.
Ongoing Compliance Support – This isn’t a one-and-done. They guide you through recordkeeping, return filing, and updates in FTA rules (because trust us, they change… often).
FTA Liaison – Any communication with the Federal Tax Authority? They handle it. You stay focused on growth.
It’s a bit like having a personal accountant crossed with a local tax whisperer—someone who knows how things really work in Dubai’s regulatory circles.
The Tangled Web of Taxable vs. Exempt: Don’t Go In Alone
Let me paint a picture. You’re a medium-sized wealth management firm. You offer investment advice, handle portfolios, and run some online financial workshops. The workshops are zero-rated because they’re exported. The portfolio services are exempt. But the advisory portion? Taxable.
Now imagine calculating VAT returns every quarter with that level of fragmentation—while trying to stay audit-proof.
This is where DIY accounting systems or generic templates just don’t cut it. You need someone who understands how VAT treatment works for bundled services and cross-border scenarios. One mistake and you're on the FTA’s radar.
But What About Startups? Isn’t VAT Registration Overkill?
Not necessarily. In fact, registering voluntarily early on can be a smart move. If you’re in the growth phase and investing heavily—on software, office setup, licenses—you’re paying VAT on all those purchases. Without registration, you can’t reclaim that input tax.
It’s like handing the government free money.
Also, having a TRN gives your business more credibility—especially when dealing with B2B clients who expect you to be VAT-registered. For fintech startups and SaaS firms looking to scale fast, this matters more than you’d think.
E-commerce, Freelancers, and Hybrid Finance Models: You’re Not Off the Hook
We get it. Not every financial business looks like a traditional firm with suits and ledgers. If you’re an online financial education platform, a crypto advisory agency, or even a freelance financial consultant, the VAT rules still apply if you cross the revenue threshold.
And here’s a nuance many overlook: If you’re running ads or selling courses from Dubai to clients in Saudi or India? That’s cross-border. That might make you eligible for zero-rated supplies.
But again, eligibility depends on how and where the service is delivered. Another reason why it’s worth having a consultancy that can break it all down without throwing PDFs at you.
The Bottom Line (and a Little Rant)
VAT registration isn’t glamorous. No one brags about it on LinkedIn. But skipping it, delaying it, or handling it sloppily? That’s the kind of thing that can hurt your business quietly—until it doesn’t. Until you're hit with a penalty or your cash flow’s disrupted because you didn’t factor in recoverable tax.
And let’s be honest, for financial companies especially, there’s an added responsibility. You’re handling other people’s money. Getting your own books wrong? That’s a trust breaker.
So if you’re going to get help—and you should—get someone who actually understands finance, not just tax codes. Rapid Business Solution is one of the few firms in the UAE that gets that difference. They’ve worked with banks, fintechs, brokerages, and boutique advisory firms. They speak your language and the tax authority’s—without making you feel like you need a master’s degree to understand your own paperwork.
Final Thought: It’s Not Just Registration—It’s Reputation
One last thing. VAT registration, especially in the UAE, is more than a compliance move. It’s part of your reputation infrastructure. Whether you're wooing investors, onboarding clients, or partnering with global firms, being registered signals you’re playing in the big leagues. You’re legit.
So don’t treat it like a checkbox. Treat it like a business milestone—and make sure the partner you choose treats it that way too.

Slakers
The French are supposedly welfare recipients who don’t work, who wait for everything to come from the state, who have privileges and receive public money or free services (such as school lunches) without giving anything in return or showing any gratitude. They would only work 35 hours a week, when they have a job. Having a paid job does not automatically mean that you are useful to society. What about what David Graeber calls “bullshit jobs,” which refers to “the vast majority of office workers, who are forced to devote their lives to tasks that are useless and of no real interest to society, but which nevertheless help to maintain employment“; ”a form of paid employment that is so completely useless, superfluous or harmful that even the employee cannot justify its existence, although he feels obliged, in order to honor the terms of his contract, to pretend that this is not the case.” (Bullshit jobs – Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullshit_Jobs)?
What should we think of workers who pollute solely to enrich the ultra-rich? What should we think of those who do their jobs without achieving public service objectives (for example, teachers in France who do not meet equal opportunity targets)?
What should we think of workers who do not produce quality work for the sole purpose of enriching their bosses (e.g., construction workers who build poorly soundproofed, poorly insulated homes made of concrete that cracks after 50 years)?
There are many volunteers and informal workers who are very useful to society. For example, firefighters, sea rescuers, teachers who teach French to immigrants, activists who defend human rights or the environment, housewives, and people who care for the disabled or elderly.
Furthermore, some jobs are harmful to society: embezzlement, pollution, overproduction, illnesses linked to poor lifestyles caused by work (sedentary lifestyles, poor diet, stress, etc.) that are paid for by society, etc. They cost other people money. There are even wars that are waged to support economic activity, even if that activity is harmful. For example, let’s take big oil companies.
Not to mention those who have become rich through subsidized contracts and grants. The C.I.C.E. (Inter-Company Center) and social VAT are effectively public money given to companies with no guarantee of anything in return. Many big bosses claim to have made their fortune on their own, when in fact they have benefited greatly from public money. For example, Elon Musk benefits from public money: NASA money for Space X, subsidies for the purchase of electric cars, etc.
There are also many paid workers who are useful. For example, garbage collectors and nurses.
But we cannot make a link between remuneration and public utility.
On the other hand, there are fewer jobs in France. We cannot blame the unemployed for their lack of work when jobs have been relocated or eliminated.
Furthermore, because hiring is based on resumes rather than skills tests, discrimination and cronyism persist and prevent some people from getting jobs even though they have the skills.
Employment is more precarious. Most workers work longer than their official hours and are not paid enough to support their families, forcing them to take on additional work, such as renovating homes. They have expenses related to their work, such as childcare and car ownership. They are forced to live in cities where the cost of living is high and housing is poor because that is where jobs and public services are located. In rural areas, farmers are no longer paid enough despite extremely hard work and live on subsidies. There is not enough money to create jobs on farms, which are forced to resort to industrial agriculture and livestock farming. Because jobs are not well paid, the population depends on subsidies and therefore on the state. The state can thus make the population fear that it will no longer provide social assistance. This allows it to control the population. Decent prices and wages should be set so that the population is less dependent on state aid. This would give them more freedom and allow them to pursue their professions as they see fit. For example, farmers could engage in organic permaculture. Having a little land to grow vegetables and keep animals would make citizens less dependent on money. Being able to exercise every day would reduce healthcare costs.
We need to stop valuing work solely in monetary terms. Everyone must contribute to society; that’s what it means to be a citizen. What is useful to society is not necessarily what is paid for.
There are certainly people who live on welfare without doing anything to improve their situation. But this is only a tiny fraction of the population. The myth of the wealthy welfare recipient is used to denigrate the rest of the population.
Living on welfare is not as pleasant as we are led to believe. It denies the difficulties faced by most people in these situations: housing in isolated areas or neighborhoods where no one else wants to live, poor-quality food, etc. Solidarity comes at a price: letting the freeloaders go so we can help the people without resources, who represent the vast majority of welfare recipients.
Most French people work hard to make ends meet for a standard of living that is lower than that enjoyed by previous generations.
Focusing attention on these “privileged” who cost society a lot of money is a way of diverting attention away from those who are getting their fill at the expense of others: the ultra-rich for whom people work, who pollute, who have no regard for the common good. Isn’t receiving income from capital, property, or inheritance without doing anything yourself a form of privilege? The ultra-rich live off the backs of others without working. They live off the sweat of others. The poorest would not be entitled to the same privileges.
If the wealthy paid their fair share of taxes or stopped receiving hidden subsidies, which amount to staggering sums, there would be more than enough money for the population, whether they work for the common good or not.
What role should the state play in our lives?
The Walter Lippman symposium created a model of a state that is very powerful because it captures wealth and redistributes it. Il is very undemocratic because it expresses itself through representatives, and very unprotective because it sets few limits. The state captures money without setting rules. Nazi Germany was the model at the time. Bertrand Russell was against it.
Bertrand Russell, Power: A New Social Analysis – 1938 – Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power:_A_New_Social_Analysis
Colloque Walter Lippmann – Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colloque_Walter_Lippmann
A universal basic income is possible and would allow everyone to contribute according to their means and skills for the common good. But universal income must be pooled, because if it is redistributed by the state, it will make all citizens dependent. Alternatively, A more direct form of democracy is needed.
Money is just a means of exchanging goods and services; it is merely a practical convenience. Money cannot be used to measure people’s worth. Many things that do not require payment are extremely valuable. Deciphering an old manuscript advances history, participating in public debate helps defend democracy, creating things advances civilization, having good relationships with others or resolving disputes keeps people mentally healthy, preserving a natural site preserves ecosystems, and so on.
Productivism, according to which we only have value if we work, is an ideology that is heading for disaster. With automation and better productivity, we don’t need as many people working. This mindset is harmful and hurts those who are seen as unworthy, like they’re holding society back. Some people may develop depression, with symptoms such as not washing and having difficulty being active. Some may even turn to drugs. The insult then becomes self-fulfilling and denies the suffering associated with this illness. And what about those who are disabled and cannot work?
It’s a social status symbol: idleness is a privilege of the rich. They attack welfare to supposedly save on taxes, when paying for welfare through taxes wouldn’t change their lifestyle one bit.
They attack the weakest members of society simply to feel stronger and superior. That’s why they have no problem spending fortunes on luxury goods that they hardly ever use and that do nothing to improve their lives except make them stand out socially.
Bertrand Russell, In Praise of Idleness and Other Essays, 1932: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Praise_of_Idleness_and_Other_Essays
Everyone should mind their own business and enjoy life as they see fit, within the bounds of the law. Solidarity is essential so that everyone can live with dignity. And maybe everyone should try to do good around them!

Why UK Businesses Are Turning to Outsourced Bookkeeping Services
Managing finances is a critical task for any UK business, but it can be time-consuming and complex. For many companies, outsourced bookkeeping services UK offer a practical solution to streamline financial operations while saving time and resources. By handing over bookkeeping tasks to external experts, businesses can focus on growth and core activities. This article explores why outsourcing bookkeeping is gaining traction in the UK, its benefits, and how it can transform your financial management.
What Are Outsourced Bookkeeping Services?
Outsourced bookkeeping services UK involve hiring a third-party provider to handle financial record-keeping tasks. These services include managing invoices, tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. Instead of maintaining an in-house team, businesses partner with professional firms that specialize in bookkeeping outsourcing services to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK regulations.
Outsourcing is particularly appealing to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that may lack the budget or expertise to manage complex financial tasks internally. According to a 2023 report by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), 59% of UK SMEs cited financial management as a significant operational challenge, making outsourced bookkeeping services UK a valuable solution.

Benefits of Outsourced Bookkeeping Services UK
Outsourcing bookkeeping offers several advantages that help UK businesses operate more efficiently. Here are the key benefits:
Cost Savings: Hiring an in-house bookkeeper can cost between £25,000 and £40,000 annually in the UK, depending on experience and location (Source: Glassdoor, 2024). Bookkeeping outsourcing services eliminate the need for salaries, benefits, and training costs, offering a more affordable alternative.
Time Efficiency: By delegating financial tasks, business owners and staff can focus on strategic goals like sales, marketing, or product development.
Expertise and Accuracy: Professional providers of  bookkeeping services  employ qualified accountants familiar with HMRC regulations, reducing the risk of errors and penalties.
Scalability: Outsourcing allows businesses to adjust services based on their needs, whether they require basic bookkeeping or advanced financial reporting.
Technology Integration: Many outsourcing firms use cloud-based software like Xero or QuickBooks, providing real-time access to financial data.
Why UK Businesses Are Choosing Bookkeeping Outsourcing Services
The demand for outsourced bookkeeping services UK has grown significantly in recent years. A 2024 survey by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) found that 47% of UK businesses with fewer than 50 employees now outsource at least one financial function. Several factors drive this trend:
1. Regulatory Compliance
UK tax laws, such as Making Tax Digital (MTD), require businesses to maintain accurate digital records and submit quarterly updates to HMRC. Outsourcing ensure compliance with these regulations, reducing the risk of fines. For example, HMRC reported that 12% of SMEs faced penalties for non-compliance in 2023.
2. Focus on Core Business Activities
For startups and growing businesses, time is a precious resource. Bookkeeping services  free up hours spent on manual data entry or reconciling accounts, allowing owners to prioritize customer acquisition and innovation.
3. Access to Advanced Tools
Outsourcing firms often use cutting-edge accounting software, which can be expensive for small businesses to purchase independently. These tools provide detailed insights into cash flow, profitability, and expenses, helping businesses make informed decisions.
4. Flexibility for Growing Businesses
As businesses expand, their financial needs become more complex. Outsourcing services offer flexible solutions that scale with growth, from handling payroll to preparing VAT returns.
How to Choose the Right Outsourced Bookkeeping Services UK
Selecting the right provider for  bookkeeping services is crucial for maximizing benefits. Here are some factors to consider:
Experience and Qualifications: Ensure the provider employs certified accountants with knowledge of UK tax laws.
Technology: Look for firms using secure, cloud-based platforms for easy access to financial data.
Customizable Services: Choose a provider that tailors services to your business size and industry.
Reputation: Check reviews and testimonials to verify reliability and customer satisfaction.
Cost Transparency: Opt for providers with clear pricing structures to avoid hidden fees.

Common Misconceptions About Bookkeeping Outsourcing Services
Despite its benefits, some businesses hesitate to adopt outsourced bookkeeping services UK due to misconceptions. Let’s address a few:
“Outsourcing is only for large businesses”: In reality, SMEs benefit most from outsourcing, as it provides access to expertise without the overhead of an in-house team.
“It’s less secure”: Reputable outsourcing firms use encrypted systems and comply with GDPR, ensuring data security.
“It’s too expensive”: Outsourcing is often more cost-effective than hiring full-time staff, with flexible pricing models to suit different budgets.
The Future of Outsourced Bookkeeping in the UK
The bookkeeping industry is evolving rapidly, driven by technology and changing business needs. A 2024 report by Sage predicted that 65% of UK businesses will adopt some form of bookkeeping outsourcing services by 2027, fueled by advancements in AI and automation. These technologies enable outsourcing firms to deliver faster, more accurate services, making them an attractive option for businesses of all sizes.
