A Major Problem With Rouge The Bat
A little warning, this post will be going into into some mature subject matter.
So, there is a bit of a problem with Rouge the Bat that I have seen in with many people in the Sonic community, and it's problem that has been a thing since the very beginning.
So many people have the interpretation of Rouge as Hispanic, which is backed up by the original character basing her off of Latin women.. Keep a pin in this. Which there is nothing wrong with viewing Rouge this way, obviously. But the problem is a lot of people have come to use this bit of information to not view it an endearing trait, but to objectify her.
Now here's where the problem starts off since the beginning. One Kazuyuki Hoshino in an interview had revealed he based Rouge off of Latin Women for her design. "I decided to create a 'slightly s exy' character that had never been in the series before, but since it was a deformed character, it required a lot of trial and error. Adding and subtracting se xiness. The costume was not too eccentric, but not too ordinary either. As a result, Jennifer Lopez is famous in Japan, and I thought I would borrow a bit of the s exiness of Latin women, which became the hint for the final draft. Her skin is brown. She has the same abilities as Knuckles, but I differentiated her by elegantly focusing her actions on kicking."
So Hoshino whether he knew it or not was playing into some stereotypes of Latinas. The exact name of this stereotype I don't remember, but what I do know is it is a type of racial fe tishization. This is what a lot of people online have done, when look into how she was design initially it is rooted in her origins.
Now, I must make clear because I know some people won't understand. There is nothing wrong with creating a woman that is considered hot, nor creating a Hispanic woman who is hot. The problem comes from the objectification, and discrimination through that objectification. Overall I am commenting on the objectification problem with Rouge, aka the problem of this being racial fe tishization. The problem not only coming from the community, but has been there since the start.
There is also the issue of it being well unbalanced, as in if you are going to create a hot female character, then are you going to intentionally make a hot male character?
Now back to Rouge, while Rouge can be written well she still has that underlying issue of being "a wild and se xy female bat who never lets her prey escape." Sonic Channel. This is seen in game where she flirts with characters like Sonic among other things, whether you see it as flanderization or not. So yeah.
One final bit is how this is all weird because of the fact that Rouge is intended to be a teenager. Now even before the ages were decanonized, Rouge during the events of Sonic Heroes was 17. Then after the canon age retcons Sonic and friends were all left as perpetual teenagers, to prevent them from all from becoming adults. By extension Rouge is also a teen because first of she is intended have a thing with Knuckles. Knuckles himself being a teenager. But also, as I discussed on my post about how old the Sonic cast are, the actually Rouge is nowhere near as tall as the canonical adult characters such as Vanilla. All that to say I think it rather weird how people in and yes the culture vultures outside of the Sonic community, obsessed over Rouge having a few more inches of clothing on her Generations model. Let alone how they cried and whined about her outfit in Sonic Prime. It very much reminds me of the weird stuff the culture vultures said about the Netflix Live Action Avatar Remake's actresses, for characters such as Azula.
In the end this does not mean you have to hate Rouge nor does it mean I hate Rouge. I am simply commenting on something I don't see a lot of people comment on, and felt like someone needed to point it out. Written by Eris

The Daycare
Danny moves to Gotham after Lady Gotham themselves asks for his help.
Gotham's natural ecto has been deteriorating, and considering ecto was what held everything in existence together safely this was a major problem for Lady Gotham.
If Gotham got too bad it would spread to the rest of the world, and could cause it to cease to exist entirely.
So Danny came, as the Ghost King he had the power to filter in great amounts of the corrupt ecto just by being in the city.
But part of his obsession was protection & helping, Gotham already had a lot of help (Batfam). So he decided to focus on helping not with the problem at the top (villains), but with the problems at the bottom.
The problems at the bottom that would be the root cause in breeding more problems.
After all, many didn't start evil, but need and desperation pushed them towards that path.
So Danny moved to the worst part of Gotham, The Bowery.
What did he do there?
Why open a Daycare of course!
Many parents could not get a good or stable job simply because they needed to look after their kids and could not afford to pay the daycare fee.
Danny wasn't worried about money after all the coffers that he inherited as king would take forever to even make a dent in it, and that's only if he was living a very lavish lifestyle everyday for several human generations.
With this in mind his Daycare fee was pretty much nothing.
He would take care of the children of a very wide age group, while the adults could focus on getting a decent job or even returning to school for a higher education for better opportunities.
How does he care for so many children?
He duplicates himself of course!
At least in the very beginning, after a while he begins expanding his Daycare offering classes and tutoring to the children as well as free food at all times.
Who's helping him ?
His ex-rouges and other ghosts who volunteered.
Lunch Lady absolutely adores having so many people and kids to make food for, and Box Lunch can socialize and play with the other kids while she works.
Ember even volunteers to be the music teacher!
Danny has the help of many ghosts who once they heard his plans were very excited to help, many having the obsession with teaching children or in general. Other ghosts helped with building, expanding, and just generally helping maintain the building in great shape. Even building a very diverse and fun playground.
Of course all this catches the attention of Red Hood. Danny just appears one day on his territory with many others and practically having a building appear out of nowhere with how fast it was built, asking literal pennies to take care of the children, and free food for anyone who asks.
All that gains a lot of attention and is rather suspicious.
But the crime rate has been going down since he opened, which is a good thing.
But many people don't want good things and decide messing with Danny and his Daycare.
Unfortunately for them cuz Danny is absolutely down for violence if he's protecting what's his.
~
Villain: "What a lovely place you have here would be a shame if something were to happen"
Danny who has the audacity to fight Gods and win: "Someone call an ambulance! But not for me!
Also Danny: "These hands are rated E for everyone"
~
Other people:"Should we call someone for help?"
The ghosts:" Nah, let him have his fun he needs his enrichment"
~
Red Hood: "He's very suspicious"
Danny is absolutely covered in paint and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with the young kids: "Ah yes I'm totally doing normal Gothamite behavior"
~
Lady Gotham is having some self care spa time she's having a grand time: "Should I warn the young king of the other halfa (Jason)? Hmm best not, it'll be more entertaining if it happens naturally"
~

can we know more about the future au👀👀❓️
Alright I've been waiting for this, get ready for a really long lore dump... (click on keep reading so I don't clutter up the tags)
Future AU takes place 200 years after when-ever the main events of the game are. This would make Shadow 215 years old and Sonic 216 years old. Sonic: Sonic was created by a cult of former ARK scientists who wanted to create a version of Shadow specifically to be a weapon and without the Black Arms DNA. They used the DNA of a god and were successful (obviously.) However, Sonic at one point lost control of his power and destroyed everything, this event made him lose his memory. The first thing he saw when he woke up was the nature around him, creating his free-spirited nature (contrast to how Shadow woke up seeing Maria for the first time.) All this lore is here to explain why Sonic is immortal. However because Sonic is immortal and the public is unaware of this, and basically the gods have their own secret cult that gave Sonic an ultimatum. Basically he could A) Die at around 40 but keep his freedom, however the earth he loves may one day be destroyed due to the lack of him protecting it. B) He lives long enough (around 110) for people to realize he is immortal like Shadow, and not wanting to waste their best protector against the planet, seals him away, freezing him and only take him out when they need him to save them, or C) fake his death and continuing living, but lose his humanity, never being able to be “Sonic the Hedgehog” again. Sonic also never made this choice, as Shadow was the one who decided. Shadow feels guilt over this even if Sonic has gotten over it at this point.
Sonic goes through a major depression in the years 110-150, as he basically loses his identity and is struggling with that. Sonic eventually finds some old outfit Shadow has in the closet, and uses it to become a masked figure called “S.” He now saves people under S, his speed being from “technology” and a voice modulator hiding his voice. Sonic is insanely powerful in the future, so people start equating him to a “legendary hero” who only appears when a threat too strong shows up. (like how Silver acted when talking about Whisper in IDW #8.)
Sonic still has a lot of his immature traits personality wise, however he is a lot smarter when it comes to combat, having experience in situations, as well as being extremely overpowered.
Shadow: Due to Shadow being the ultimate lifeform, he’s allowed to still be in public and shows his face. Shadow leaves G.U.N after Rouge retires, as Team Dark disbands. Once Rouge dies, Shadow spends a lot of time with Sonic, as Sonic is going through it being dead in all but name.
Around 130-140, Shadow created “Maria’s Solutions,” his own private organization for helping people. Shadow is someone people go to when people can’t go to police or other organizations for help. He accepts help from almost any client, however he is often avoided by the worst as his power is terrifying. Shadow is now a detective, negotiator, and bounty hunter all in one, as he is more knowledgeable and collected now.
After Eggman's death, Shadow adopted Sage at his request, not having it in him to bring her offline. Sage has a duplicate robot body but she prefers to spend time with him on Shadow's phone. She helps him out in missions, with hacking and tech related problems.
Shadow has other employees for Maria’s Solutions, however I’m still working on them. Main ideas include an innocent girl similar to Maria he’s taken a soft spot to, a robot like Omega who works as a maid around their house, etc.
Silver: Silver will occasionally come back to check in on Shadow. Due to the deal they made, Silver can’t know Sonic is alive. However, due to a mishap, Silver finds out and becomes friends with S. Sonic likes spending more time with Silver so he hides this fact from Shadow, sometimes going on missions with Silver.
Other info
Sonic and Shadow aren’t important to this world. Lots of organizations and people fight in this world, thus leaving Sonic to deal with world ending threats and Shadow his clients. Organizations include
Technology conglomerates
A church that worships Gaia
The restoration
Militaries
Sonic and Shadow are married with rings pierced in their ears, however they do not like to define relationships.
Anyone who Shadow trusts enough will meet Sonic by accident, but calls him “S” either way.
Knuckles can be spoken too by connecting with the master emerald, which is underneath Sonic and Shadow’s house in an underground facility.
Tails reincarnates when he dies with an extra tail, however he gets his memories from his last 100 years only if he meets Sonic. They don’t meet until 130ish, where Sonic agrees to wait until Tails is 20 every time before he hunts for him. (this part I’m still working on.)
Sonic is a jack of all trades who can use any weapon to fight as he likes to switch it up. Shadow uses a gun and sword combo along with his chaos abilities.
AU is more comedic despite the somber tone, as Sonic and Shadow are still Sonic and Shadow at the end of the day.
Well that was a lot but if you want more info send me another ask with more questions for me to answer

birthday
pairing: steve harrington x reader
summary: steve never really cared for his birthday, his girl takes it upon herself to make sure he feels special. showing him how far he has come
warnings: none, fluff
a/n: steve likes madonna, fight me
The morning was quiet, still. The sun had just about emerged over the horizon as you stepped out of the car, balancing two coffees and a small paper bag in your hands. You had made the effort to get up early, driving a little further to visit the little cafe you knew Steve loved. He practically begged for you to let him take the detour every time, which you did. You could never say no to him. Not when he asked so nicely, pinching his eyebrows together in a sorrowful expression. Pitiful, truly.
You got there a bit after it opened, just to make sure the croissants hadn’t sold out. Steve had a soft spot for chocolate. All sweet things really, especially in the mornings. He wasn’t particularly vocal about it, but after months of observing him ordering pancakes from the diner and never skipping dessert after date night, you figured he would appreciate the sugar.
Standing at his front door, you reached into the plant pot, grabbing the spare set of keys. You were one of the few people he allowed to have this information. You did mention to him that the majority of people keep the spare set in a place like that, but he disagreed, telling you that at least it wasn’t under the doormat.
It had been previously, until Dustin found it and entered his home without warning.
You unlocked the door as gently as you could manage, slipping inside and removing your coat and shoes. Gently, you placed the small bag of gifts for him by the door. He could open them up later.
You tiptoed up the long staircase, coffee cups wobbling in your hands as you made your way to his room. It was miraculous that you didn’t drop them in your efforts to keep quiet. The door was slightly cracked open, you could make out his silhouette in the dim light.
He was sprawled out on the bed, one hand under the pillow and the other lying next to him. He always had a habit of sleeping on his stomach, limbs tangled in a chaotic heap, it looked as though he had a battle with his sheets whilst he slept. His broad back rose and fell in tandem with his deep breaths, hair tousled and messy, face half-buried in the cushion underneath him.
The sight brought a smile to your face, it was endearing how peaceful he looked. He was usually so put-together, but this? He seemed almost boyish, relaxed, unaware of the weight of the world on his shoulders. It was a sight that was reserved for you and you only. It was something precious.
You carefully set the cups and bag down on the bedside table, knowing it was time to attempt something impossible. Waking Steve Harrington up.
You leaned closer to him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, shaking him ever so slightly.
“Steve…” you whispered, trying the kinder approach to wake up the man. If Robin was here she would have just told you to open up the curtains, but you couldn’t do that to him. At least not today.
“Mmmph,” was the groggy response you earned, he shifted his legs under the covers, burying his face even further into his pillow.
You had to bite your lip to stop the giggle from escaping. You decided to shake him a little harder, trying to rouse him from his slumber. “Steve, come on. It’s time to get up.”
Ever the drama queen, he let out an exaggerated groan, a rouge arm flailing out from under the cover to try to bat away whatever was disturbing him. “Too early,” he mumbled, voice thick with the remnants of sleep.
You shake your head as you laugh, deciding to change tactics. You poke him playfully in the ribs, which earns you another groan, this time more awake but definitely more annoyed.
“If you don't let me sleep, I swear to God…,” his voice trailed off, but there was no real threat behind his tone.
Steve was certainly not a morning person by any means. He had no problem waking up if he needed to be somewhere, but he was certainly not fond of being woken up without prior knowledge. You had lost count of how many times he slurred that he needed five more minutes when you stayed over, giggling every time he shushed you with his embrace.
“Yeah, yeah, tough guy,” you tease, perching on the side of the bed next to him. “I brought breakfast.”
That worked a bit better, a small but noticeable reaction—a low but sleepy moan of appreciation, as if the promise of food might be enough to drag him out of bed. You waited for a few seconds to see if there was any movement, you huffed when there wasn’t, his face now completely hidden by his arm.
You prodded your finger on his back once again. “Steve…”
With a melodramatic grunt of effort, he finally rolled his body over onto the side, amber eyes blinking slowly as they adjusted back into focus.
“Oh…hey, honey,” he greeted groggily, rubbing a hand over his face as he fought against his fatigue, completely forgetting about his previous comments. His brown hair was a complete mess, sticking up in all directions. You grinned as you took in his dishevelled appearance. “It’s early…what are you doing here?”
“Did you forget what today is?” Your eyes widened, slightly suprised at his question. You couldn’t have got the wrong day, could you?
Steve furrowed his brows, seemingly still stuck between the realm of sleep and reality. “Day? What…oh.” The realisation was quick to dawn on him as his brain started to function. “My birthday, right.”
The reminder sent a wave of embarrassment through him, his lips turned into a small, sheepish smile as he realised his mistake. It never was a big deal to him, something he never really celebrated. Back in high school, he would just throw a house party, which would essentially just be a gathering filled with people who couldn’t care less about what day it was.
His parents were hardly home, and even when they were, it was just a card handed to him when he woke up. He used to get some cash in them when he was younger, but it seems they even forgot that too. It wasn’t the money that mattered, they probably only did that because they forgot to get him a gift. But at least it was something.
The last few years he honestly never remembered it. Only when it got dark, just him alone in the big, empty house he pondered celebrating it. But the idea just made him feel hollow.
He glanced over to what you had placed on the side next to him, heart leaping when he recognised the familiar logo, he placed his hand on your leg as you continued to look down at him. “Thank you, honey…but you really didn’t have to.”
“Well, I did,” you gave him a stubborn look before crossing your hands over your chest, your expression not filled with any malice. “And I’m not done either. I have a few other things for you downstairs.”
His eyes grew bigger, his shock evident. He shuffled up, propping himself on his elbows as he stared at you. It was vulnerable, a look you rarely saw on him.
“Ok, now you really didn’t have to,” he murmured, tone softer now.
You waved your hand in front of him dismissively. “Just enjoy it, okay? I’m giving you the whole ‘breakfast-in-bed’ treatment here.”
Now that forced a grin on his face as he sat up fully, his movements still slightly sloppy. “Breakfast in bed, huh? You’re gonna make me spoiled.” You went to stand up but were immediately stopped by a pair of arms winding around your centre. “Where do you think you’re going? I’m not eating alone.”
You squealed in surprise as he dragged you up the bed, only releasing you when you were firmly settled by his side, under the duvet and everything. “Fine, fine. But if you get crumbs in the bed, it’s on you.”
He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, already tearing the croissant in half, not caring about the mess. “Worth it,” he smirked before popping a piece into his mouth, holding the other out for you along with the coffee.
You rolled your eyes as you took a sip from the cup, nudging his shoulder with your own as you both ate. The morning sun was creeping through the cracks in his blinds, illuminating his features just right. He sighed as he leaned against the headboard, shoving the last piece of pastry into his mouth before gathering up the rubbish from the two of you.
He slid out of bed, reaching above his head lazily, his shirt lifting slightly to reveal a slither of his toned stomach. He gave you a sly grin when he caught you staring at him, feeling a sense of pride.
He loved it when he felt wanted, especially by you.
“Careful, sweetheart. Staring like that could get you in trouble.”
You grinned wide, leaning back against his headboard, making a deliberate display of looking him up and down. “Who me?”
He shook his head and chuckled under his breath. God, you were trouble. He made his way over to his wardrobe, pulling out a pair of blue Levi’s and a classic Steve Harrington polo. He tossed the clothing items on the bed, glancing over at you, his tone low and teasing. “If you keep looking at me like that, I might just forget the plans downstairs.”
You raised an eyebrow at his suggestion, holding in a sly grin. “Who says I mind?”
He tilted his head back with a groan, as he stripped out of his pyjamas, leaving him only in a pair of boxer shorts. He grabbed his jeans and pulled them up with deliberate slowness, knowing you would be watching his every move. “Oh, trust me,” he smirked as he reached for his belt. “I could make it worth your while, but…” He tugged on his shirt over his head, raking his fingers through his hair in a weak attempt to fix it. “I think I’d rather make you wait.”
“You’re such a tease, Harrington.” You glare at him playfully.
He raised an eyebrow, walking slowly over to where you were sitting. His arms were crossed as he leaned over you, lips purposefully brushing against your ear, sending a shudder down your spine.
“I think you like when I tease you, sweetheart,” he whispered before pulling away.
Your cheeks heated as you tried to recover, shifting your attention away from his comment. “Finish up in here, or you’ll be the one begging for attention later.”
He grinned devilishly, finally backing off and tugging some socks over his feet. He opened the door dramatically holding his spare hand out in front of him. “After you, honey,” he said, his voice now sickeningly sweet.
You shoved the covers off with a giggle, smiling as you passed in front of him. Steve was close on your heels, placing his firm hands on either of your shoulders as you descended the stairs. As you reached the bottom, his eyes landed on the gifts you left by the door. He was overcome with a sense of tenderness at the sight of them, all wrapped up with cheesy wrapping paper.
“Angel,” his voice now lacking the teasing tone present before. “This is…this is really sweet.”
You carried on walking towards it, picking them up before leading him to the living room. Pushing him down on the large couch and taking a seat next to him, your legs now brushing together. You were buzzing with excitement as you handed him the first package—a small box which he eagerly tore into. Paper falling away to reveal a tape.
He looked closer at the label, in your swirly handwriting were the words ‘BMW Bangers’. It earned a full-bodied laugh from him. He deduced this was gonna be the new go-to when driving around with you.
He turned it over to look at the tracklist, also written by you. He nodded his head as he read over it, all of his favourites seemed to be present, Duran Duran, Bruce Springsteen, Womack and Womack, and a few other hits. He paused when he spotted the last name causing a guilty smile to spread.
“Madonna?” He asked in an accusatory fashion.
You beamed. “Hey, I saw you singing along to her on the radio. You’re not slick.”
He shook his head, opened his mouth and began to protest. “No, you didn’t.”
“Yeah, I did.”
Steve huffed, pushing your head away from him in a teasing manner, turning the cassette back over in his hands. “Okay, fine. But you can’t tell anyone.”
“Your secret is safe with me.”
He looked at you then, eyes softer despite his teasing demeanour. “This is amazing, sweetheart. Seriously.” He tells you truthfully, he was itching for a reason to get in his car now. Wanting nothing more than to spend the day driving around with you in the passenger seat, singing along terribly.
“I try my best,” you say cockily, planting a gentle kiss on the corner of his mouth.
With slightly pink cheeks, he placed the first gift down on the table and took the second from your hands, removing the wrapping just as carefully. When the present was finally revealed to him, his face lit up.
“Oh man, look at this,” he said whilst rubbing his chin. In his hand is a framed picture of him and the kids, all with huge smiles at the pop-up Christmas market a few months back. He was looking mildly irritated, most likely with you insisting on a group photo of all of them. The memories of that day replayed in his mind over and over, it was one of the best holidays he had.
“Damn,” he laughed again, shaking his head slowly whilst taking in every detail of the image in his hands. “It’s like the cover of some crappy sitcom.”
“I know right?” You leaned in closer to him, eyes scanning over it. “The Brady Bunch 2.0. We could aim for a reboot.”
“Could be my big break,” Steve snickered. He was joking, but as his thumb brushed over the glass, you could see how much this meant to him. The family he never had. The family that chose him. That would always choose him.
“Don’t let the kids see this,” he set the frame down gently next to the cassette. “Can’t let the little shits think I’ve gone all sentimental.”
“Steve, they already think that,” you tell him, tone light but honest.
“My reputation is ruined,” he complained sarcastically, but he couldn’t deny how proud he was. How far he had come. “You know that Dustin even called me ‘dad’ the other day? It was an accident but…”
You chuckled at the idea of it. You couldn’t deny it though, Steve most certainly took on a parental role with the kid. Being the father figure he missed so much growing up, it was something both he and Dustin could relate to. You admired how deeply they cared for one another.
“Thank you. For—for all of this,” he rested his hand on your thigh, turning to face you fully. “Really, it means a lot.”
You brush his hand off as you wrap your arms around his midsection. He returns the embrace immediately, holding you close to his warm chest, resting his chin on your head.
“You’re welcome,” you say, voice muted by the material of his shirt. “But, uh…don’t get too comfortable.”
He pulled back slightly, hand resting on the back of your neck as he held your gaze with curiosity. “Oh?”
“Well, I kind of… may have arranged for everyone to come over later,” you admitted, suddenly second-guessing your decision. “I mean, you didn’t have anything planned, so I thought maybe a surprise would be nice, but now I’m telling you, so it’s not really a surprise anymore, and—shit—I should’ve asked first—”
“Shh, angel,” he cut you off gently, placing a finger against your babbling lips. His voice was, calm, reassuring, laced with pure affection. “It’s fine. You’re fine. It’s perfect.”
You blinked up at him slowly, taking in the familiar, easygoing grin that spread across his face.
“I wasn’t exactly planning on throwing a rager,” he wrapped his arms around you again, feeling lonely without you pressed up against him. “You really went all out for me, honey. I love it.”
“Okay, good,” You sighed in relief. “I was worried I’d ruined the whole thing.”
“Nah.” Steve pressed a soft kiss to your lips. “You just gave me a reason to be excited about my birthday again.”
You felt your stomach warm at his words, his affirmation overwhelming you with a rush of affection. You glanced up at him one more time, only to find his gaze locked on the photo on the table. I guess now would be as good a time as ever to break the news.
“Oh, by the way…” you began, a hesitant grin creeping onto your face. “Eddie is in charge of the food.”
“Eddie?” His face froze in stunned disbelief at your statement. “Eddie in charge of food?”
You nodded, choking down the giggle building in your throat at his expression. “Yeah, he said he could handle whatever barbeque you have. Thought you’d appreciate the help.”
“Absolutely not!” You laughed at his horrified expression, which only spurred him on further. “No way am I letting Munson anywhere near a grill. He’ll burn the place down!”
You burst out laughing at the thought, picturing Eddie dramatically waving a spatula over a flame, maybe even wearing a ‘kiss the cook’ apron. “Come on, Steve. How bad could it be?”
Steve shot you a deadpan look, truly baffled as to why you cannot see that this is a terrible idea. “Do you remember the last time he tried to cook at a party? We ended up ordering pizza because he set the stove on fire. Twice.”
“Alright, alright, maybe I’ll keep an eye on him,” you give in as he breathes a sigh of relief. “You can handle the burgers, grill master.”
“I like that better,” his body relaxing once more underneath yours. “No calling the fire department on my birthday. Please.”
You snuggled further into his chest, hiding the smile in the fabric. “Glad you like it.”
“I love it,” he tells you, gently placing his hand on your jaw, using his index finger to lift your face to meet his eyes, his smile was rich with adoration. The soft look was so intense it nearly took your breath away. He pressed his lips against your own, holding onto you for a little while longer. Until the inevitable chaos arrived at his front door in just a few hours. “I love you.”

Yandere!Batboys as Villains with Robin!Darlings AU Masterlist
Bro I had an idea for this AU, what if some of the rouges like Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Riddler were good in this AU, like they never became villains or enemies of Batman and or even allies of the Robins.

Like I could imagine that Dick’s darling developing extreme claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) and hemophobia (fear of blood), along with a number of other traumas and phobias after being kidnapped and missing for over a month. It gets so bad for her that it does not just impact her vigilante work but even her day to day civilian life. So Bruce makes a few calls, looking for someone who may be able to help her in her current mental state and stumbles upon a psychologist who is a current professor at Gotham University and has a specialization in phobias, Dr. Jonathan Crane.
In this AU he would not be obsessed with fear like he is in other iterations of him, but instead due to his own trauma that his father put him through, he wants to help people who have gone through other highly traumatic experiences. So when he gets the call from Bruce Wayne about his adopted daughter and the things she had gone through, he accepts almost instantly, besides her story about getting kidnapped by a serial killer with a hero complex and highly unstable emotions was everywhere in Gotham.
He would drive to Wayne Manor after his lectures everyday and sit down and have sessions with Dick’s darling, psycho analyzing her and moving in to break down her trauma to get to the root problem. But he hears the stories about what exactly happened to her from her adoptive father, the GCPD files he got access to for her case, and then from her and then the things that happened to her is anyone’s worse nightmare.
Eventually they do make progress and after that is when Bruce green lights her for patrol again and that is how he finds out her identity. Dick’s darling saved his life during a mass attack on the city, she swings him out of the way and when she sets him down in a back alley and immediately makes sure he is okay is when everything clicks in place, he knows her mind inside and out by that point so when she is about to leave…
“Get somewhere safe, a basement or-“
“We’re going to discuss this at our next session, yes?”
“You knew?!”

I can picture Poison Ivy in this AU as a friend from school to Jason’s darling, a law major and a biology major hitting it off. They were originally supposed to be roommates but with the chaos that the life of a bat brings, Jason’s darling commutes to school. They are really close friends and a lot of their classmates joke that Jason’s darling is like Pamela’s sugar mama since she has access to Bruce Wayne’s credit card and she likes spoiling her friends.
In this AU, Pamela never becomes Poison Ivy but still she is an ally of her college friend. She found out about the identity of Jason’s darling when she was walking back to her dorm and she finds the injured vigilante hiding out behind the engineering building and immediately takes her inside to hide her and the mask accidentally falls off and there is a long awkward silence and…
“Is this why you dropped me as your roommate at the last minute?!”
“Um… ya…”
“…you bitch.”

Along with Ivy in this AU, I think Jason's darling would be friends with Edward Nygma, like I imagine him as another college student in this AU, a psychology major with an english minor, and it would be a trio with Ivy and Jason's darling. Unlike Ivy, I imagine he figures out her secret identity very quickly, so when he sees her as a vigilante, running and pretty badly injured at night, he just pulls his car over and yells at her to get in.
"Does everyone and their mother know my identity?"
"What, like it was hard?"
I also think it would be somewhat funny if they started helping her or became small-time vigilantes themselves. So say one time Jason's darling gets kidnapped by Jason most likely, Edward causes a distraction while Ivy knocks the goons out, so just Edward just walks up and like...
"I crack when I’m weary, tingle when I’m scared and stretch when I’m proud. What am I?"
"Really?"
"What?! You asked me to distract them!"
Or like the idea of Edward setting up traps to delay enemies so Jason's darling can move quicker but accidentally ends up catching the Batman in it and it is just a look of pure fear on Edward's face as he tries to apologize.

Thoughts on the Sonic 3 Trailer:
Looks alright so far! Like a lot of people I don't like the idea of Sonic working with GUN, but I also have a feeling that in the movie GUN won't have told him the whole truth and that's going to be a twist. It'd explain why Sonic is like "haha yeah let's beat up a shitty alien!" in that one scene which he def wouldn't do if he knew Shadow's backstory, and also it would better explain why he's teaming up with eggman, which GUN probably wouldn't condone, but if Sonic was going against GUN then it makes more sense
This would also be a logical way to get the status quo of the game going without raising as many questions as the og game does, instead of GUN mistaking Shadow for Sonic, GUN labels Sonic as an enemy once Sonic decides not to work with them.
If Tom ends up joining GUN this would also be a good way of raising the stakes. Now Sonic can't turn to him for help even if he really wants to, which especially hits home after the last movie had Sonic accepting Tom as a sort of father figure.
Anyway those are just guesses, but it's fully possible the movie might not go that direction, well just have to wait and see.
As for the lack of Rouge and Amy I'm a little torn. It's possible they are in the film and are just being saved as a surprise, but if not then I'm not sure how to feel. On one hand SA2 is already a big story to tackle in one 90 minute film and adding characters just for the sake of fan service wouldn't help, but on the other these movies have had a major problem with having female characters that do much of anything, and having a female friend for Sonic would be a major help with that so it's disappointing that it looks like they might not be going for it. I guess I'll just have to wait until it's certain if they're in or not before I can fully gather how I feel on it.
Overall it looks like it'll be fun, but I don't blame the fans for having concerns

What would you say your least favorite episodes are? Which episodes would you say are the worst, from a storytelling and thematic standpoint? Are your two lists mostly the same, or almost completely different?
Miraculous has 130 episodes in the first five seasons and there's no way in hell that I'm going to try to rank them all, so I'll just look at the episode list and give you my personal picks for my least favorite episode and the episode that did the most damage to canon from each season. Please note that this is just what my memory serves up as the worst since I'm not rewatching the whole show to give each episode more thorough consideration. I'll also list any episodes I considered just for the fun of it and link to my posts on them (or more broad posts where I happened to talk about that episode in detail) if I remember that such posts exist.
Season 1
Least Favorite: The Pharaoh
Worst writing: Lady Wifi
Dishonorable Mentions: The Bubbler, Copycat, Kung Food, Gamer, Animan, Volpina
It was hard to pick episodes in season one because there aren't any truly major problems in this season. A lot of the episodes have weird morals or odd choices, but there's nothing narrative breaking and the odd morals are all pretty equally bad. I went with The Pharaoh for my personal least favorite because of how appallingly bad the Egyptology is. Anything that contributes to people having wildly inaccurate ideas about Ancient Egypt goes on my shit list. No, ancient Egyptians did not use magic spells to try to resurrect people! They didn't even believe in the resurrection of their own gods! Their beliefs were all focused on giving people a good afterlife, not on bringing people back to this life!
Lady Wifi got the label as worst written mostly for reasons external to the episode itself, though there are internal problems. The first reason is that this episode really leaned into the idea that Alya was obsessed with outing Ladybug and Chat Noir's identities to the world, leading her to do some questionable snooping. I would expect an episode like this to end with a lesson about respecting people's privacy, but it doesn't. The episode ends with Alya doing the same stuff she was doing at the start, just with a more benign target:
Alya: Wanna see my new smartphone? It puts my old phone to shame! Just look at these pics! Marinette: Huh? What's with all these photos of Adrien? Alya: Well... with a mask and a costume, don't you think he looks a little bit like Cat Noir?
You'd think that she'd be a little more impacted by the fact that her akumatized self almost handled her idol over to the bad guy! Note that I don't want Alya to feel guilty here, I just want her to look at her akuma and reflect a bit, leading to character growth. Something like Marinette asking Alya who her next suspect is and Alya announcing that she's done outing heroes. It's time to out a villain instead!
The small-scale side of this problem is that it leaves the episode without a clear lesson, making the episode feel kind of pointless. The large-scale side of the problem is that Alya's character genuinely needed a lesson around respecting privacy because she goes on to become Rena Rouge without the show ever addressing the issue of her identity-revealing obsession. I think that was a bad call for Alya's character and the show itself.
This was a missed opportunity to give Alya some majorly deserved focus that had nothing to do with her role as best friend to the lead. Season two introduced three new heroes, but Chloe was the only one given a multi-episode storyline. Nino and Alya just randomly got their miraculous in one-off episodes even though they're leads' best friends and the heroes who stick around. I would have liked to see them get storylines, too.
Based on season one, Alya could have been given her miraculous after an arc focused on earning Ladybug's trust. This could have even ended with Alya learning Marinette's identity if you want to keep that plot point. Instead the show just decided to pretend like the identity-revealing obsession was never a thing from season two on and Alya doesn't really do anything to earn a miraculous. She just gets one because she's Marinette's bff. I think Alya deserves better than that.
The other reason also relates to Alya's overall writing. If memory serves, Lady Wifi was the first case of Alya being written more like a tabloid journalist than an actual reporter, an issue that has plagued her character for the rest of the show because the writers cannot make up their minds as to which one she is! Does she investigate things or just believe whatever crap she's told? Pick a lane, give a reason for the nuance, or give her a character arc around being more discerning! It even makes some of her actions jarring like when she posts the kissing photo at the end of Oblivio. Alya, what are you doing? Those are your coworkers and you know that Ladybug hates the Ladynoir stuff!!!
The tabloid journalist to true reporter route could have been another way to play Alya's miraculous journey. Introduce Lila at the end of season one, have an Alya-focused arc around defeating Lila in season two, and let the arc end with Alya learning to be more discerning thereby earning her miraculous. The lesson would be something like it's good to have an active imagination, but we need to be careful to not conflate a good story with facts.
Season 2
Least Favorite: Queen Wasp (Queen's battle – Part 2)
Worst writing: The Collector
Dishonorable Mentions: Despair Bear, Prime Queen, Gigantitan, Glaciator, Anansi, Frozer, Reverser
This season had several strong contenders, but I picked the two I did because they're both narrative breaking on a scale the others can't even come close to.
Everything about the Chloe arc is a mess and Queen Wasp perfectly encapsulates the issue because nothing about it works in the overall narrative. Queen Wasp is the episode where Chloe gets her miraculous for the first time and it is the least interesting way you could possibly go about her big debut. It also introduces the running issue of the writers having no idea what they're doing with her character. This episode was written like Queen Bee was going to be a one off and yet she keeps coming back! This was also the first of many episodes that totally botched addressing Chloe's mommy issues. I could go on, but I doubt that I have to. See my Chloe deserves better tag if you really want more Chloe content.
The Collector gets the award for worst writing because it's the first instance of the show introducing a ton of things that should have been important to the overall narrative only for the writing to forget about these things after the end of the episode. Ladybug never tries to find out more about where Gabriel got the grimoire, Adrien forgets that the grimoire exists, and Lila knowing about the grimoire somehow has nothing to do with her figuring out that Gabriel is the butterfly holder. We're also introduced to the lore that the butterfly holder can akumatize themself which is total BS. This should have been the big villain Nathalie reveal! They could have officially confirmed that she knew everything by having her be the stand in Hawk Moth to protect Gabriel's identity.
Season 3
Least Favorite: Chameleon
Worst writing: Chat Blanc
Dishonorable Mentions: Backwarder, Animaestro, Bakerix, Reflekdoll, Oni-Chan, Desperada, Ikari Gozen, Timetagger, Ladybug, Miracle Queen
Notice how the list of dishonorable mentions keeps getting longer and longer as the show goes on? I have a sneaking suspicion that trend will continue.
I think the fandom has beaten the problems with Chameleon to death, so I'll keep this brief. This episode was the first time Lila's lying powers were super obvious and I hated that writing choice with a fiery passion. I also hated how Adrien never got a proper character arc about why it was wrong to stay quiet about lies. It's a good flaw for a celebrity to have, but flaws are only good if they're actually addressed in a timely manner. A fact that is extra true when you're writing for young children who generally aren't going to be able to follow a minor subplot that takes three seasons to resolve.
For Chat Blanc, see the power of love rant as that covers my main issues with this episode. Since that post has the main issues covered, let's go over two more minor issues! The first is the way Tom and Sabine were played here. One of my favorite fix-it fics was spawned because canon had them do nothing after they saw their teenage daughter threatened by a powerful adult. Good parents don't do that! Let them be good parents!
Adrien keeping his identity from Marinette is the other mark against Chat Blanc, but I do think canon could have made that work. The problem is less that he did it and more that canon acted like it was no big deal. Letting him wrestle with wanting to address the partial reveal, but also wanting to respect Ladybug's no-reveal rule would have heavily mitigated the issue. Having Marinette ask Adrien out would have done even more to solve the problem because then it doesn't feel like he's taking advantage of the situation (which is a common and understandable complaint that I've seen), but heaven forbid that we let the girl ask the boy out!
Season 4
Least Favorite: Ephemeral
Worst writing: Strikeback
Dishonorable Mentions: Truth, Lies, Gang of Secrets, Mr. Pigeon 72, Furious Fu, Sole Crusher, Queen Banana, Optigami, Sentibubbler, Rocketear, Wishmaker, Hack-San, Glaciator 2, Gabriel Agreste, Kuro Neko, Penalteam, Qilin
...yes, I did list pretty much every episode in the season. What's funny is that I don't necessarily like the ones I didn't list, they just didn't feel like major problems for the show or get under my skin to the level of things like Qilin. Meanwhile some of the problem children had parts I genuinely liked, but still made the list because of some major issue I couldn't overlook. For example, I like the ending of Glaciator 2, but think the first half of the episode has a lot of major problems.
Ephemeral almost got both spots because it has so many issues, but the timeline does get reset at the end, so I decided I'd give the win to the episode that's in the canon timeline. My biggest issue with Ephemeral is the power of love crap, but I'm once again linking to the power of love rant for details on that.
That's not the only major issue with this episode, though. Marinette's plan for how to reveal Chat Noir's identity was both horrendous and totally unnecessary. If time is going to reset, then just tell Chat Noir the truth of what you're planning! Then he can give informed consent on the issue! You could even have him go talk to Luka solo without a time reset coming into play!
Speaking of Luka, I wasn't a fan of Luka continuing to lie to Ladybug about the fact that he knew the secret identities. He carries a small part of the blame here for not stopping Marinette's crazy plan when he had the power to do that. Su-Han also gets a spot on the shit list but he basically lives there so that's not worth digging into.
If Strikeback had led into a really cool season five, then I'd probably give it some slack, but Gabriel getting the kwamis was pretty freaking pointless so no mercy!!!! This episode was a writing disaster that makes no freaking sense! There's the obvious problem that the writers had to hand Felix the win by breaking the lore for Ladybug's yo-yo, but the issues go well beyond that. We also get Ladybug giving a rant about flaws that the season never actually gave her and Ladybug losing because of an evil twin and not because of anything she actually did wrong, once again undermining her apology because it feels like her blaming herself for something that wasn't her fault instead of her owning up to actual flaws that cost her something. Add in the fact that the real reason for the loss was the identities which are still a secret as of season six and this episode can go die in the fiery heart of the sun!
Extra points off for making Felix seem interesting and then squandering all of that by turning him into Kagami's discount Adrien consolation prize. Extra extra points off for letting Adrien find Felix's stupid spyglass and then using that for nothing in season five. There were so many good setups here but a setup is only as good as its payoff and the payoffs were all shit!
Season 5
Least Favorite: Derision
Worst writing: The final parts one and two
Dishonorable Mentions: Every other episode in the season.
In season four, I said that I liked a lot of the episodes on the dishonorable mentions list, they just had some fatal flaw that got them on the list. The same is not true here. I didn't enjoy a single episode in season five. Only positive moment I can think of is the hand raise scene in Kwamis Choice. That was cute, but not cute enough to save that disaster of an episode.
I've ranted about Derision a lot and shared many posts from others, so I'll just link to one of those rants and one of those posts, then give a quick tl;dr here. This episode makes Marinette look unhinged and is a massive retcon that makes no freaking sense. It's also the only time Miraculous has genuinely upset me on an emotional level. Other episodes have worse messages, but this showed such a fundamental lack of writing ability and critical thinking skills that it got to me. I doubt that anything could have made me keep watching the show after the disaster that was the season five final, but Derision was where I first decided that season five was it for me. After Derision aired I stopped watching the episodes as they came out and just waited for the whole season to be streaming because I legitimately didn't care anymore. I knew wherever we were heading was going to be a bad time.
The final gets another link to the power of love rant because that's my biggest issue with it, but there's obviously a wealth of problems at work here. No, Marinette didn't win because Gabriel changed his mind. He rewrote the universe to his desired state! That's a hands down win. Also, his reason for changing his mind was laughably bad. A video? Seriously? Terrible writing. Adrien being lied to was terrible. Adrien being kept completely out of the final fight was terrible. The resistance doing nothing useful was terrible. The special-only characters showing up was confusing. Emilie dying was boring. Saving Nathalie was boring. The list goes on and on. Just a total embarrassment of a season final with bonus embarrassment from the fact that this was initially the series finale meaning that anything the later seasons do to imply that this was bad is basically a retcon.

Batman: No Man's Land: Assembly (Also Robin #67) (Story #17)
It is time for No Man's Land to bring the crew back together. See Greg Rucka show the dynamics of the Bat-family and Chuck Dixon tell the tale of how Robin and Nightwing broke into Gotham...again!
This is a story that is important to tell in chronological order, so I will start with first 7 pages of Legends of The Dark Knight #130, then we will do the Robin issue, and then we finish out the Legends issue.
The story opens up with Batman telling Barbara to call Nightwing and Robin to bring them back to Gotham. After this, Bruce goes to Commissioner Gordon to see if the GCPD will ally with the Bat-Family over Two-Face's forces.
Gordon does not take the meeting well. The police commissioner is still hurt by the fact that Batman was nowhere to be seen when the city needed him the most. Gordon is so angry, he slugs Batman's face. Batman leaves Gordon to his lonesome after this.
And now it is time to see the journey Nightwing and Robin took in order to get into No Man's Land.
Oracle has found an access point in the sewers that the two Boy Wonders can use to get into Gotham unnoticed. While the two go to this entrance point, they kind of dunk on the fact that Bruce called on them now, when they were willing to fight in No Man's Land since the very beginning.
Anyway, they get to the point where the aqueduct and sewer cross (having a moment of Gotham history explaining the entrance, which okay, sure, fill that page count) and the heroes need to crawl a mile in a mine shaft to go into Gotham sewers proper. And they succeed, but when they get there, they alert their presence to some villian.
Gearhead and Tommy Mangles show to fight our heroes! What, you want to know who these villains are? Okay starting with Mangles, he is normal muscular thug who exists, so GCPD characters have a villain to beat.
Gearhead on the other hand, is a villain that Chuck Dixon created and pushed hard in the year running up to No Man's Land. He is basically cyborg who really hates Batman for stopping in a crime that led to him getting turned in a cyborg. You can see why the only people who have used him are Chuck Dixon and the writers of The Batman cartoon (and that cartoon did a major reinvention that made Gearhead a speed freak, which actually works).
Dick and Tim win the fight (I want to point that because of the low-tech state of No Man's Land; Tommy is just giving Gearhead a piggyback ride) by throwing them into a river. But a single rat watched the fight. That sure would be a problem if Batman had a rouge that controlled rats. Anyway, how's Ratcatcher doing?
But that cliffhanger will have to wait for another day! As we continue with our Legends issue, we get to see Cassandra Cain (had this point the Bat-family still has no idea what Cass's name even is, so she is called nameless girl for this issue) and Jean-Paul Valley hanging out, with Azrael even figuring how to communicate with her by using fists bumps. And then Nightwing and Robin show up.
Batman enters soon after everyone starts to get used to Cass and takes Nightwing on a side mission dealing with mysterious new Batgirl. We see the Batgirl praying outside, but when she comes in, it is revealed (to the readers) that new Batgirl was actually Huntress/Helena Bertinelli the whole time!
Bruce gets very aggressive towards Huntress, telling her she blew it one too many times. Batman takes the Batgirl identity back; but admits to Nightwing later that he did so, because he wanted Huntress to go rouge, as part of the larger plan to take back the city.
The story cuts back to the rest of the Bat-Family just catching up with each other. When Dick and Bruce arrive back, Batman tells the group that he needs all of them to take back the city. There is some questioning about whether they can trust Cass (Bruce's word is worthless because of the way he acted towards the family in the leadup to No Man's Land), but Barbara vouches for her.
Batman gives the missions: Robin and him will go to Ivy's territory in Robinson Park to deal with her, Nightwing is to take back Blackgate, and Azrael and Cass will hunt down Nicholas Scratch before he can do more harm!
As a special moment, Batman gives Cass the Batgirl costume telling her to honor the Bat-Code, and the issue ends with family swing out together!
And we are passed the halfway point of No Man's Land, the crew is back together, and we got a solid story. Firstly, the Chuck Dixon issue was the shakiest part of this story, but it leaves some interest in the Gotham Underground. But the Greg Rucka issue really captures the quiet beats and just heartwarming moments of the family getting used Cass. Excited to see what happens next!
7.5/10

Batman x AFTG pt 2.
continuing on from this post
Neil uses the fact that he is from Gotham to explain away anything the team thinks is weird about him. Why does he have so many scars? Well this one on his ribs is from when he got mugged on his way home from school and the iron burn was from that time with the Riddler. The bullet wound? Did he ever tell you about how he met red hood? The foxes don't know that he is a Wayne and only know that he got adopted by someone he calls B and that he was homeless after his mom died. A lot of the weirdness about him is wayne weird not Gotham weird. The couple of other students who came from Gotham keep trying to tell people that he isn't normal for Gotham but nobody believes them.
When the monsters take him to the club and try to drug him he's very condescendingly like I'm from Gotham do you really think I'd have survived this long if I were that easy to drug? He leaves them there and walks/hitch hikes his way back to campus like in the books but this time in the dark. He gets back and everyone is panicking like Neil you could have died. Neil: why are you so worried there isn't even any real danger here and I had my weapons on me.
When they go on Kathy's show and he insults riko and everyone is like why would you do that he is going to kill you. Neil's response is to say riko is just a nepo baby throwing a tantrum he can't compare to the average Gotham goon much less the rouges. Neil will be fine.
Neil is fine. Seth is not.
After Seth dies Neil is like oh okay i guess I'm taking on the Moriamas. I was going to stay out of it but they just made it my problem. He knows that he could use the bat resources to get the adults arrested but he really wants to take down riko in the way that will hurt him the most. So obviously the foxes need to beat the ravens. He motivates and unites the team the same way he does in the books except this time he has his family helping him take down the rest of the family in the background and getting proof of everything that is happening in the nest.
Unfortunately the monsters go to see nicky's parents the same weekend that there is a major arkham breakout so they don't notice it's a set up in time. Fortunately Neil is a Wayne and he is able to make sure that Andrew is going to a good place where all the doctors have been thoroughly vetted so he doesn't get assaulted again. Neil because he is a martyr still goes to the nest over Christmas so that he can collect more evidence. Does riko know that Neil is Nathaniel or not i don't know that's up to you. What's important is that Neil and Jean bond and that Neil still gets a bit tortured. Dick and Jason are ready to storm the nest and kill everyone when they find out what happened. Neil gets back to palmetto and acts like what happened is fine because he has had worse. Allison is ready to help him with makeup to cover the bruises on his face but Neil tells her he can do it himself because it's not the first time he has had to cover up injuries like this.
The team had already thought that Neil's adopted family was abusive because he doesn't really talk about them much and he has all those scars. After Christmas in the nest they are convinced that they must be. But then some of his siblings show up (Jason and Duke as the ones least likely to be recognized as Wayne's) and they basically smother him and make sure he is taking care of himself. The foxes are so confused. Like sure Jason is weirdly violent about forcing the kid into self care and may have threatened Kevin for being the reason Neil got draged into all of this, but it doesn't seem like either of them would let their brother be abused. So why is Neil so cagey about his family and how does he keep ending up with such horrific injuries? The betting pool is getting intense because nobody can figure out what is going on.
Neil still ends up getting kidnapped just before spring break. He knows that he could probably keep them from taking him if he fought back immediately but he also knows that his teammates will get hurt if he does that so he lets his father's men lead him outside. It's not until the riot separates him from the rest of the foxes that he starts to fight and since he has vigilante training it's more effective than in the books but it's not enough. They end up drugging him which has the upside of meaning Lola doesn't spend the car ride torturing him since he's unconscious but downside is that he can't try to escape before they get to Nathan.
When Neil wakes up he is already in the basement chained to a chair. Nathan does the whole torture thing and Neil is trying to figure out the best way to get out and incapacitat Nathan and also if this justifies braking Bruce's no kill rule. Neil is morally fine with killing Nathan but he also realy doesn't want his real dad to be disappointed in him because Nathan isn't worth that. In the end it doesn't matter what he wants because uncle Stewart show up and kills Nathan for him.
When he is getting questioned by the cops Bruce shows up and demands that they let Neil go see his family and team. The cops try to argue that Bruce has no authority because technically he isn't Neil's dad since he was using a fake identity when he was adopted. It does not go well for the cops Bruce isn't going to let anyone sy that he isn't his kids dad especially not right after one of them has been tortured and needs to be with family.
Neil gets taken to the hotel where his team is waiting and Bruce and all of his siblings follow. Neil explains to the team about being Nathaniel and how he had been running from Nathan since he was ten and everything that came with that. He explains ending up in Gotham after his mom's death and how he ended up being taken in by Bruce when he was 14. He tells them that he kept quiet about being a Wayne because was worried that the media attention that would come with that would lead to Nathan finding him. The team understands but also they are tiny bit upset because none of them won any of the bets about his past or his family.
They go on their team vacation. Jean gets rescued from the ravens and Neil decides it's time to enact the final stage of operation take down riko. He and his family gather all of the evidence that they have on what's been going on in the nest and give it to their favorite reporter(Clark) so that an article revealing all the abuse and the police cover ups and everything gets released just before the championship game starts. Neil has full faith in the teams ability to beat the ravens and he knows that riko will be upset enough about loosing that he won't be able to even try to cover up the article. Neil expects that when riko is asked about the article right after the ravens loose he won't be able to hide his hatred and violence. Neil does not expect riko to try to murder him on national t.v. before he even finds out about the article. Andrew saves him and hey it got the point across so he counts it as a win.
The Moriamas are scrambling trying to do damage control knowing that they won't he able to use the ravens as a front for their illegal activity anymore. They try to use the whole Kevin, Jean, and Neil are Moriama property thing to regain control and Neil tells icharo that he was able to do this much damage to the family's business in only a few months and that he won't stop until either they let him Kevin and Jean go completely or he has destroyed their entire operation and the family has nothing left. Icharo tries to call Neil's bluff at first but Neil reminds him there is a reason their organization has never even tried to touch Gotham. In the end all three boys end up free to heal and live their lives completely free of mafia ties. Neil tells Kevin and Jean that if they have any issues in the future to let him know and he can call someone to deal with it.
The foxes + Jean all end the series a little bit happier and a lot more scared of Neil than they originally did, but it works out.

After watching through Side Order... I have a Few Thoughts.
[Spoilers ahead]
My Review of the Side Order DLC - Its little more than Gameplay.

Initial Opinion
- - - - - - - - - -
Overall; I like the gameplay mechanics initially, but the story absolutely feels lacking to me, imo. It feels like they were really banking on Side Order being Hard but... multiple of my friends finished it on their 2nd or 3rd run through the Spire.
That in itself isnt a problem! But... everyone felt sort of unsatisfied? There were no developments in the story, as we, Agent 8, were just assigned the task to Get to The Top of the Spire -> The Player Does That -> You beat a Boss -> Credits Roll (?)
On my watchthrough I literally said Please Say Sike 😭 because, dont take this poorly, but they were advertising Side Order as;
• Difficult (stated Multiple Times in basically every Trailer)
• Story Driven (You Uncover things as You Climb)
• Character and Lore Intensive (as shown by the trailers with all the concept art as well as promo art)
I dont feel like it was wrong to expect more based on how it was advertised.
But... if you complete the DLC in 1-2 runs, which is Very Much Possible, no buildup happens at all. The story was banking on the player struggling, and putting all the content behind repeat runs, which falls through and Doesnt really work/feel satisfying if the main goal is achieved in such a short time. I Feel like anyone who regularly plays Salmon Run will likely have a similar experience. And I feel kind of cheated? Because what we got was something that was Tell Not Show rather than the Show, Not Tell formula. And in my opinion, it really doesn't work as well at all. It puts all the major lore that the game has set up behind repetetive climbs (which never change btw, despite each climb being generated differently, its the same after a while) and you get about 1 Sentence of Exposition, with a Modlog from Marina if you are Lucky.
Side Order was (to me), after watching it all;
• Not Difficult, But Repetetive Gameplay (This easily runs people down, which would be fine if the tower had more than 1 setup or phase)
• Inital Story Setup with no complexities or stages. You climb the first Tower, Save Marina, Climb the Second Tower, Beat Order, and the credits Roll. In its most complex, you could fit what Side Order's Story is in 2-3 Sentences. Rather than Lore being revealed During the story, it feels Pushed to the Side as all of it is either in Text the player may never see (different climbs) or care to read (Marina's Mod Log)
• Use of Character Drops with no explaination / mention (The Agent 4 Boss, Anyone?) (This felt very Bait-y, with No Payoff)
Rating
- - - - -
If I had to give Side Order a Rating
4/10. At Best.
I am a bit disappointed with this as I feel like I was promised more, Storywise, and honestly a bit gameplay wise. I think it fails where other DLC has succeeded Due to being Built in such a way where anything engaging is stuck behind barely changing gameplay. It is not built in a way where the experience cant fail to show you whats important to the characters and the worldbuilding. It relies too much on telling you whats happening rather than the world showing you. Its too Simple, and It Doesnt Work, personally, in a series that contains Octo Expansion.
Which is Sad to me!! It had so much wasted potential and I really hope this isn't the last we're going to see of the concept, we get to see ideas actually built into the story, and... maybe find Agent 4.
Conclusion
- - - - - - - -
Tldr; Side Order had a good concept, but failed in execution for being simple and gameplay dependent, which was ultimately disappointing due to it being advertised as something more for all involved.
It was an alright attempt. The experience will just be known to me as... well. Baby's First Rouge-like. Nothing worldbreaking.
(PS, this isnt meant to be mean spirited or overly critical, I just love the Splatoon Series so I give it Tough Love. This is just my personal view on the DLC)
Thank you for Reading! Feel free to share or add any thoughts!
#This is Just my opinion but Ive seen a couple people with similar experiences to me and wanted to make a post to see if anyone else#feels the same about the whole DLC#if anyone has any experiences to share feel free! id love to hear#sorry if this seems mean spirited or overly critical - i really do love the splatoon series with all my heart#its tough love#splatoon#review#Side Order#Side Order Spoilers#Splatoon 3#Nintendo

This has been running rampant in my head for a long ass while, and I need to write it down.
This is a case where in order to set the stage for what's to follow, the ending needs to be spoiled from the start:
I have envisioned a scenario where Rouge gets arrested, with no chance of being bailed out.
It relies on the fact we know jack-shit about her backstory at this present stage, the opportunity for a rug being pulled that was initially deemed borderline improbable to happen, and the chips falling in a certain way where it's the absolute worst case scenario. (Also, the idea consumed me to the point where I yet again gave @thenovika money and made it his problem, but that's at the end.)
Most of this might not track, but as I said before, it's my imagination, and I decide how it plays out.
Rouge the Bat's going to jail, y'all.
This might be a continuity-by-continuity basis (and I don't know if they ever plan on confirming if GUN exists in the current/IDW one; the closest we have gotten is Sonic x Shadow Generations, but that in turn raises questions on what happened pre-Forces to result in humans disappearing from Sonic's world, but that's a whole separate kettle of fish), but I am willing to bet that on average, Rouge's deal with being a part of GUN / Team Dark is similar to Black Widow's in Marvel:
She used to be an outright criminal, but then one day, she wound up on GUN's radar for something major, and got caught; but, at the same time, only GUN knows about the true extent of her crime, and are willing to keep it under wraps but only if she flips.
Basically, her options at that stage were clear cut: Become an agent, or go to jail. And while yes, it was basically her only actual option, but her time in GUN did cause her to turn her life around (for the most part; she still likes stealing on occasion, but it's low-key level shit that a blind eye can turn away from).
Now, with that in mind, (and for this specific hypothetical, we're saying it's occuring in IDW) let's presume that info leaked. Whether it be because of a certain individual who's name rhymes with "Gimmick" slipping inside in order to disrupt Team Dark's capabilities (or because they started digging into his activities, and he wants them off his trail), a former acquaintance of Rouge's who wants petty revenge now that's she's gone "basically legit", or a close associate acting out of betrayal, someone roots through GUN's files, locates Rouge's record, digs up the incident in question, and turns it over.
Before too long, it's made public. What now?
Basically? Rouge is fucked.
It's out of GUN's hands, and statue of limitations be damned, it is public knowledge now; Rouge no longer has her protection. GUN either just quietly cuts her loose and looks the other way, or they pull a complete 180; however it happens, an arrest warrant is quickly issued for Rouge the Bat.
Her safety net is gone, she has no more protection, and the walls are closing in.
(Now, obviously, Shadow and Omega would defect at the drop of a hat to help her, that goes without question, but even with the three of them, she's still on borrowed time.)
Now, here's where things get a little sticky.
In normal circumstances, she has a network of allies she can trust outside of her own circle; Sonic and friends, basically.
However, given the new situation at large, it becomes a question if that network still exists. If what Rouge did was bad enough that she was basically strong-armed into joining GUN in the first place, would the fact that GUN is forced to turn on her mean that no longer is possible?
...well, let's say things are the absolute worst case scenario.
Let's say it isn't possible.
Whether reluctantly, by force, or completely willingly, outside of Shadow and Omega, the Restoration decides it's necessary to turn her in.
This becomes a losing battle for the three. Try as they might, at the end of the day, Team Dark is going down.
Omega? Easiest to deal with; one solid blow to the torso, and there goes his power core.
Shadow? Well, as strong as he may be, if Sonic '06 is any indicator, it's that there are ways to containing him once subdued. And, difficult it may be, he can be taken down in a fight with enough time and effort. Sonic alone can attest to that. So, two down.

And with that? Rouge is fucked. The two heavy hitters she had left are taken out of the equation. She has no other trick in the bag, no where to go, no where to hide. It's like Icarus playing out in slow-mo; she tried her best, but got too close to the sun.
Down she goes.
Game over.
Off to jail.

(Shout out to @thenovika once again btw; now, in this scenario, it doesn't necessarily need to be Lanolin leading the charge, but, honestly, I think it works. To a fault, she operates on "logic above reason"; Rouge may have been an ally in the past, but she's got a warrant out now, so she has to go.)
(That being said, at the same time, "Midnight Sheep Rustling" did have a major factor in me coming up with this whole debacle.)

with regards to the "toxic sonadow shippers" debate: i honestly dislike sonadow outside of sonic boom, and even then i prefer the "messy divorce" angle because it's funny to me. i have no problems with 90% of sonadow shippers because in my experience, they tend to be lovely people, and the art for the ship is often so good i'll reblog it despite not shipping it myself.
that other 10% though... like others here, i've been harassed by them before. it was part of why i had to turn off anonymous asks permanently a few months back. i'd mentioned in a personal post that i personally preferred shipping shadow with rouge, lanolin, surge, or jewel.
keep in mind, in this post i specifically said that i had no problem with sonadow shippers, it was just my personal preference, and if people had different opinions that was fine because they should be allowed to like what they like. hell, i only tagged the post with the ships i liked because i didn't want to bother the sonadow tag with my lame opinions (and also, it's just rude to tag your hate.)
even with those qualifiers, i still got half a dozen anons telling me i was homophobic, that i should kill myself, one even encouraged me to relapse after five years of being clean from self harm. it's still baffling to me. i can't figure out how that person even found my post unless they were specifically perusing the tags of "rival" ships for people to harass...? the fact that they even mentioned my history of self harm at all is insane. they would have had to go out of their way to search my blog for posts tagged with that trigger warning to encounter any mentions of my history with it. they would have had to go looking for ammunition.
so yeah, there's absolutely a percentage of sonadow fans who are toxic and immature, as evidenced by how willing they are to seek out people to harass and abuse for having different opinions. it's a small percentage, of course, but it is a percentage — the majority of sonadow shippers are wonderful people, and i count many of my friends among them.
of course, harassing people over different shipping preferences isn't unique to sonadow shippers — every ship has jackasses who just want an excuse to abuse other people — but since it's one of the most popular ships in the whole fandom, there are unfortunately going to be proportionally more of them than for the less common ships.
i just wish people would stop judging others and making assumptions about total strangers over shipping in general. it's so unnecessary, and it just leads to people getting hurt. it must be miserable to live a life so full of hate and anger that you have to harass other people about shipping choices in sonic the fucking hedgehog of all things. be nice to people, god damn.

Silver Characteristics Part 2

Warrior - fought and struggled for half his lifetime in the hellish Iblis future, constantly fighting against Iblis, monsters and putting out disasters including Flame Tornadoes for most of his life to bring peace to the world. Shadow describes him as a Fighter in Team Sonic Racing. Enjoys Fighting and can be quick to start fights(Fights almost everyone for both in Rivals 1+2 and Infinite in Forces, almost fights Blaze in Colors DS and Otherworld Comedy and Bowser Jr and Jet in the Olympic Games). Extremely Brave(No regard for his own safety, Instant fight response when surprised in Sonic Generations, fought Iblis monsters since he was Cream’s age). Values bravery and dislikes cowardice/cowardly tactics(Rivals 1+2, Colors DS, Team Vector interview). Has high aggression, determined expressions and aggressive body Language during anything he's focused on. Often makes fists, punches things when he’s frustrated and gets up with his fists in Sonic Forces. Due to his backstory he is deeply appreciative of peace and prosperity but also has a violent personality.
Focused - Is Focused on saving the Future(06 design docs). Very serious and focused when it comes to his mission or dealing with potential danger. Very proactive in dealing with things as he was the only one actively trying to defeat Iblis and change the world(06) and the only one trying to find the truth of Dodon Pa and Eggman(TSR). Has a Straight-To-The-Point mindset(doesn't care what the plan is called, only that it works in Forces) and doesn’t like things getting in his way. Very goal focused(even during competitions, he says the Jade Wisp Ghost ability is the only item he likes because it lets him disappear and focus on racing(Team Vector interview)). Takes things much more seriously than Sonic and sometimes gets mad at Sonic for not taking things seriously or messing around(JP TSR, PlayStation Comic). Has pointed angular eyes like Sonic’s other rivals which represent intensity, danger and seriousness in character design.
Can be Ruthless - “sometimes calls forth great power without mercy”(Sonic x Silver). Has fought dirty(Played possum to hit Sonic in 06), tried to assassinate Sonic, snuck past Soleanna guards. Mugs Tails in Sonic Rivals 2, has no qualms with fighting small children like Tails or Bowser Jr. Leaves his enemies to die even if they beg for life. Has the pragmatic “get-it-done” mindset of Future Trunks/will do whatever it takes to save the future.
Intuitive - Solves problems by using his mind in all his major game roles including figuring out how to revive Sonic(06), being a detective(Town Mission 13), uncovering Eggman/Nega’s plots(Rivals 1+2, TSR) and solving various puzzles. Very perceptive(Sees through Eggman Nega’s disguises by noticing small details), turns his fight with Sonic into a race to collect Chao to advance his mission(Crafty). Intuits Blaze trying to control great power when seeing it for the first time(Otherworld Comedy). Not trusting(Didn’t initially believe in time travel, Immediately suspicious of Dodon Pa in TSR, questioned Mephiles’ mission even as Blaze reaffirmed it as their only option, takes time to work with others in the Rivals series).
Challenger - Enjoys challenges and seeks out ways to test himself(Climbed Tokyo Tower, disappointed when Orbot and Cubot don’t pose a challenge). Very Competitive(Almost fights Blaze when they start one-upping each other over who could deal with Orbot and Cubot on their own in Colors DS). Self-confident and has a smug attitude about his abilities but is otherwise pretty humble. Cherishes his friends and strongly believes in/very grateful to those who help him. Regularly trains off screen like Sonic’s other rivals and said to make Steady efforts to improve(Wallpaper Comedy). Bold and undeterred by any threat(“We can take them all on!” when facing Eggman, Knuckles and Rouge in Rivals 2, “I’ll just destroy him everywhere at once” when facing Solaris)
Curiosity - Has a certain curiosity and likes seeing new and different things(“Interesting”).Can praise or call things cool as much as he insults others. Might have a weakness for cute things(Has a soft spot for/plays with Chao in Sonic Rivals 2 and an official PlayStation Magazine comic).
Skills - Powerful psychic with various super powers(Sonic Runners). Like Sonic’s other rivals he has various skills including car racing, acrobatics, fighting near the level of Shadow, sharp shooting among the best in Soleanna’s 1500 year history. Has been a detective, delivery boy, butler, top ranked ice skater and “genius” skating coach celebrity(He takes offense to being treated like an amateur for a reason). Fly/Skill-type character so he specializes in more technical sports like ice skating and drives a car with high balance(TSR, Team Vector Interview).
Polar Opposite of Eggman Nega(Blaze’s best friend, Pure, Young, Honest, Rude, Empathetic, Impulsive/Reckless, Naive, Practical/Focused, Altruistic, desiring Peace and Happiness and willing to die to protect the world opposed to Eggman Nega being Blaze’s arch enemy, Twisted, Old, Deceitful, Polite, Psychopathic, Calculating, Sophisticated, Petty, Egoistic, desiring Chaos and Destruction and willing to die to destroy the world)
Enhancer-Emitter - Enhancer being someone that is determined and simple, never lies, hides almost nothing, is straightforward in actions and thinking, whose words and actions are often dominated by their feelings and is very focused on their goals. Emitter being someone that is impatient, not detail-oriented and quick to react in a volatile manner but can also calm down and forget easier
Lives in the good future when not helping Sonic in the present the same way Blaze lives in her dimension. Thinks things in Sonic’s time are dated (sometimes, in Sonic Rivals and Colors DS) Often implied/shown to like apples(Ate apple flavored calorie bars in the Iblis Future according to Sonic Pict) and live in Soleanna(He was originally going to be named Venice because he lived there, he may be Italian coded as his counterpart Galahad uses an Italian dagger as a sword).

Quick Firefam rewrite family tree I did for funsies + to attempt to finalize who is related to who later down the line. (I apolgize in advance for my handwriting)
Gen 1: Princess/Pineleaf and Firestar
Gen 2: Cloudtail, Squirrelstar and Leafpool
Gen 3: Whitewing, Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, Jayfeather, Sparkfire, Alderheart
Gen 4: Ivypool, Dovewing, Ambermoon, Dewnose, Snowfall, Finchlight, Nightblaze, Flickerkit
Gen 5: Bristlefrost, Thriftear, Flipclaw, Shadowsight, Lightleap, Pouncestep, Birchfeather, Rowankit (I forgor)
Gen 6: Sprucepaw, Redpaw, Poolkit, Beechkit, Quickkit
Name changes:
Princess -> Pineleaf
Princess ends up staying in Thunderclan after bringing Cloudtail to camp in hopes of helping him (he was born a very sickly kit, but she trusted her brother and his clan so she went to him for help in her desperation). She changes her name once she decides to stay, and is named Pineleaf (may or may not keep it)
Shrewpaw -> Shrewnose
Shrewpaw survives! I liked the idea that Spiderleg was named for his long legs, so Shrewpaw gets a similar name, for his short snout. Firestar had a field day with the two brothers lol
Sparkpelt -> Sparkfire
I keep going back and forth if whether or not I like Sparkfire or Sparkstorm more, currently the Sparkfire side is winning.
Reasons for Sparkstorm though -> She has her grandma's suffix, just like how Alderheart has his grandpaw's
Nightheart -> Nightblaze
I don't like Nightheart's name that much, or his original name Flameheart. I like the blaze suffix more because it fits with the naming of his siblings and it's not an often used suffix (and I want to try to avoid/ take a different approach on his problems with legacy. Once I've finished ASC I think I'll have a better idea with where to take him since he's also getting his protagonist rights revoked because it doesn't fit the overall narrative, but he's still a major character for sure)
Snowbush -> Snowfall
He's named after his father just like how Dovewing was named after her mother :>
(Also I don't think that Squirrelstar would give a cat the bush suffix, heh)
Relationship changes:
Squirrelstar X Shrewnose, Jayfeather X Briarlight and Shadowsight X Rootspring are all QPRs
Cloudtail is an only child, Nami Zack and co don't exist
Firestar and Pineleaf are not related to Scourge, I never really cared for that connection
On that same note, Tommy Fliou and Luna aren't relevant either
Ambermoon, Dewnose and Snowfall are Birchfall and Whitewing's second litter, no longer Brightheart and Cloudtail's. They would be older apprentices by the time Sparkfire and Alderheart are apprenticed
Dandelionkit and Juniperkit won't exist in Thunderclan, they'll be added as existing Windclan cats with Rouge/Loner background (and live)
Alderheart is in a polyamorous relationship with Velvet and Puddleshine
Cloverfoot is now Dovewing's mate
Lightleap and Blazefire are still together but they are a childless couple and the litter of Poolkit, Quickkit and Beechkit is given to Pouncestep and Flaxfoot (might be temporary though, might hand them and Lightleap over towards the Tigerkin instead)
Nightblaze and Sunbeam don't get together (no romantic feelings between them either)
Other changes: I forgot to give some cats mates within the tree whoops
Hollyleaf and Willowshine have a complicated relationship. They're very close platonically, but struggled a lot with their mutal romantic feelings. Hollyleaf tries to deflect and ignore her feelings due to her beliefs regarding the warrior code and Willowshine is hurt by Hollyleaf actions when she reveals her parentage (the Gathering scene remains unchanged, but Holly didnt kill Ashfur this time around) Willowshine is half-clan as well, her parents being Swallowtail and Rainwhisker, so these events break her trust. Sometime before the Battle against the Dark Forest, they make amends and consider their romantic options again, but their time is cut brutally short when Hollyleaf dies fighting on the battle field. There is a lot of grief but no regret from either molly.
Lionblaze had a multitude of crushes (def Berrynose, Heathertail, Cinderheart to name a few) but nothing ever came of them (He's not in a good headspace during his time alive to start dating either, so nothing ever happens/ works out
Flipclaw X Featherhawk (Feather of Flying Hawk) is now a Skyclan cat, son of Stormfur and Brook, who Flipclaw leaves Thunderclan for to be with
Thriftear X Plumstone is another one i'm considering, their existing friendship in the books is very cute
I'm also considering if I want Jayfeather and Briarlight to remain childless or if they adopt Snaptooth and Flywhisker, rn it's on the fence
I also want to pair either Dewnose or Snowfall with someone outside of Thunderclan (too many characters related to them in and around their age group) once I've got the other clans figured out, rn it's probably going to be a Riverclan or Winclan cat
That should be it for now!

Round 2 Side C

(no image for Míriel Þerindë)
who is more dead wife?
propaganda:
Portgas D Rouge:
Wife? of the Pirate King Gol D Roger. Mother of his child, which is basically how she died. Were they actually officially married? It's never shown for sure but I think she still counts as a Dead Wife.
Míriel Þerindë:
Míriel Þerindë is the deadest of dead wives. She is so dead that when given the choice to be alive again she refuses! She says "no I am staying dead" and in FACT she is such a dead wife that she is the ONLY elf to die, in all of elf-history, of anything other than violence. Elves are not supposed to die! But she does. After giving birth to her son, Fëanor, she is so exhausted after this and put so much of her strength into making her perfect boy, that she goes to sleep for so long that her soul slips out of her body entirely! Fëanor has a lot of feelings about this and even more feelings about his father remarrying, the first and only elf to do so! This sets off a solid 75% of the plot of the book. (The other 25% is Satan being a dick and wrecking shit.) Míriel is the deadest wife and she is Haunting the Narrative! Also she invented needlework, which is why she's called Þerindë, which means "broideress" (as in a woman who does embroidery). Another fun thing about her: after she died, there was a sound change in Elvish that changed þ (th) into an s, which would make her name Serindë, but her son Fëanor objected. First because it would confuse words by making new homophones but also because it would change his mother's name and make it sound more like the word "serë" meaning "rest."
Are YOU tired of soft gentle dead wives giggling under a white top sheet for some reason?? Do YOU want a Dead Wife where the primary description we get of her personality is that the most Unhinged character in the whole book inherited his personality from her? Have YOU ever wanted every single problem for every person in the world ever to be caused by the most unhinged son ever being completely obsessed with living up to his dead mother’s legacy?? She EVEN caused a major linguistic rift after her death and so much arson happens because she died. Every single problem she caused could have been solved by polyamory but nobody would explain what that is. She EVEN had foresight about her son doing arson because she died, and then insisted on dying anyway. Nobody is doing it like her.

Cheeeeeeezzzzeeeeee anon here…. With some unpopular/controversial opinions (do they even count as that? Are they actually very popular opinions?) because idgaf what strangers on the internet think about me 👍
Feel free to give yours too >:D
Yazoo and Loz are better than Kadaj. I just had to get that out there. I’m not sure why, but to me, they always will be.
Angeal is the best SOLDEIR 1st class. I adore Genesis and Seph, but I feel like Angeal upholds what it’s truly like to be a SOLDER while not forgetting his values and beliefs.
It’s better that we saw Babygeal before Young Genesis. Angeal and Sephiroth have such an interesting dynamic both in EC and in CC that I feel like Gen and Seph don’t in a way. Now, I love Gen and Seph’s friendship, but Angeal and Seph’s just feels more…. Natural and meaningful. It’s amazing that Square actually put Angeal there first because Miniroth probably wouldn’t have opened up to someone like Genesis.
Despite what I’ve said, Genesis is the best CC character. He’s the perfect “antagonist” (put in quotation marks because I don’t feel like he’s the actual antagonist, and instead ShinRa is) for that specific game. It would have felt flat if it was someone else, especially if it was Sephiroth or Angeal.
👏Aerith👏is👏not👏a👏flat👏or👏useless👏character👏who👏only👏serves👏as👏a👏plot👏point👏. Does anyone else besides my mother and a few friends of mine hate her? Idk.
Aerith and Zack need to stay dead. As much as I love them, their deaths are major in the story and if they’re alive, it messes up the whole story.
All of the bad things that happened? Hojo and Hollander’s fault. The Neibelheim incident wouldn’t have happened if Hojo hadn’t done what he did. Genesis wouldn’t degrade, which means that he wouldn’t have started to degrade and leave Shinra, taking most of SOLDIER with him, if he didn’t have JENOVA cells. Zack wouldn’t have died, because the Neibelheim incident wouldn’t have occurred. Cloud wouldn’t have messed up memories. Sephiroth would have lived a happy childhood, and so much more, if Hojo and Gast had a bit more common sense, and a lot less ‘crazy scientists’.
No matter what happened, Sephiroth was going to find out about his birth. It’s a major plot point in the story, even if it happened in a different way.
LAZARD👏DESERVES👏BETTER👏AND👏MORE👏RECOGNITION👏
EVERYTHING WAS SET IN MOTION BECAUSE OF GENESIS’S DESERTION, AND HE NEEDS THE RECOGNITION FOR THAT.
Remake is kinda boring. Please don’t yell at me 😭 I think I found it boring because I’m more used to open world games (BOTW/TOTK and HZD/HFW are two prime examples of that) and rouge likes (Hades 1/Hades 2). Rebirth fixed that problem, but it also feels too overwhelming at the same time.
SEPHIROTH IS A CAT-SNAKE HYBRID.
Genesis is the coolest character fr.
Incase you couldn’t tell, I’m just a very strange, Genesis, Seph and Angeal loving crazy person.
I agree with lots of these!!!
Best Bois. Best chars.
