Making a post specifically about this zoeynie doodle- usually I ship them (and I still do here just...not at this moment) but I whumped the fuck out of zoey bc she's my shayla and I want to talk about it.

So here's the context I came up with:

already had the idea of the demons coming up with ideas to split the girls apart and incapacitate the members- with Mira loosing her physical form for a bit(being entirely unable to fight or use her strength), rumi turning into a demon and loosing control and finally zoey: who here has had her soul stolen.

I'm between two routes here: zoey just being a limp body that Mira and Rumi have to fight through a load of demons and make some grand plan to get her soul back and protect her body- maybe without a soul a demon could possess her? Or puppet her around but I'm kinda saving that for rumi. Maybe that's the time constraint mira and rumi are under- if they don't get her soul back to her body something else could use it as a vessel or smth and they loose her forever. Either way as soon as they pull off their grand plan (maybe the demons r like haha idiot we won only for zoey to, weak as hell, prop herself up and throw her kunai, revealing that what seemed to be a throw by Mira and Rumi to have been their plot all along) zoey gets back up and fights with them.

In this case- the picture is right as mira and rumi catch beni(saja boy) in the act.

Alternatively:

the saja boys want huntrix to go on hiatus and thus dangle zoeys life in front of them to give them a reason- they come to some form of agreement (I'm going for 6 weeks here, no promotions or activities- and only weekly demon hunts for maybe an extra 2 on top). To ensure the girls compliance they don't actually give all of zoeys soul back- intentionally keeping her literal musical ability- no singing(no talking?), no rapping, no writing, she can't remember any choreo even if she goes through it step by step with the girls and unintentionally it really messes with her fighting bc she always thought of it as a dance.

-Though mira and rumi help her get out of her own head in that regard and she's back to fighting form when the saja boys show up again and are actually impressed that without a full soul she can still hold her own. She gets her soul back here (bc she realises she doesn't need them to give it to her if its hers in the first place) and also they decide to announce the hiatus publicly and get the support and adoration of the fans that way instead of through concerts. Zoey isn't perfect straight away but it is a quick recovery.

So in this case the picture is him holding her semi hostage to bargain with the girls.

And now for the zoeynie brainrot:

There's something so tender about dramatically holding her like that. He could have done literally ANYTHING else. (Tied her up, left her on the floor, scruff her)

Also I like the idea of him actually falling for her here, he's a fighter and he respects guts and audacity. She's in no condition to fight-she can hardly stand up, but here she is anyway with her knives at the ready. He not only respects it but when she kicks his ass he's like "Oh jinu....I get it now" much to Jinus violent protests

Love the flavor of soulmates that is a main m/f partnership dynamic that's mostly platonic but also romantic but also dysfunctional and yet completely essential - like these characters would not work without each other, but they barely work with each other, and most importantly they know each other carnally better than anyone else, but it's also not about sex at all it's about the partnership and navigating the highs and lows of intimacy and letting someone in, but also maybe they do fuck, but also maybe don't, but also...

A cast of characters I put together for fun over the course of like a week. The setting is supposed to be some kind of generic medieval fantasy. I tried to be as historical as I could with the clothes and armor, but didn't hold myself to a strict time period or location and instead went with a vague "European middle ages".

While I personally am fond of the whole grimdark fantasy thing, I love how colorful the real middle ages could be and I wanted to be sure I was sticking to that as closely as I could manage.

Flash warning at 1:15-1:17 where the screen is red for a frame or two about 3 times because I missed with the bucket fill tool and some blue, grey, and white flashing from 2:10-2:12 as I mess with the background a bit.

This shows almost my whole process. The only part not shown is the first hour of setting up the draft because I accidentally messed up the timelapse.

All of the colors do have meaning. Mostly a reference to the character's appearance but there are a couple little easter eggs in there too

In the second image, a strong white light shines through the panels instead, casting Alice in shadow and hiding the infinite plane beyond the window. In return, the shadows on the floor are darker. End ID]

i love gen narumi because he truly is customizable.... any hcs, as long as they're in character, are true if you think & reach hard enough. like. butch gen. (not elaborating) and gen who's definitely in the know about the thomas jefferson miku binder thing. and gen who was like 17 witnessing Dashcon through tumblr (he didn't even speak a lick of english at that time)

he is most DEFINITELY chronically online though lmao. He feels like the type of person to poke around websites outside of japan and just, find himself in really weird websites.

Personally i feel like he would be the type to go on reddit for games he plays and google translate a buncha posts just to get angry at people with opposing opinions and get into arguments but like. Having to machine translate everything the whole time

I am betting he's unwilling to loose arguments even with a language barrier lmao
