absolute menace in the groupchat to be honest

actually, Dan, Mariah and Rubber Soul and THE group chat menaces and everyone hates them for it lmaooo

i feel like he’s a spammer tbh

but he’s never saying anything of interest he’s just spamming with stupid stuff like memes at 3am

definitely one of if not the most annoying agent in the group chat closely followed by rubber

Rubber Soul

another one who’s a big fan of spamming with memes

and it’s normally in response to dan’s memes that he’s spamming. and he’s sending even worse memes in response lmao

has the humour of a 13 year old kid who plays fortnite to be honest

has made the ligma joke too many times (daniel still falls for it sometimes)

Daniel D’Arby

not that active in the group chat to be honest

he pops in every now and then to see if anything work related has happened

group chat besties with Hol Horse and they gave each other their group chat nicknames

he’s slow at responding even in group chat emergencies to be honest lmao i feel like he doesn’t really care too much about what goes on in the group chat

and i feel like he’s probably not that active on his phone anyway unless he’s playing solitaire or some type of betting game

Terence D’Arby

another one who likes to send memes into the chat actually but isn’t a spammer like dan is

he’s pretty much always active on the group chat but he’s more of a lurker and doesn’t tend to respond to messages quick all the time even though he is always on the group chat

which always annoys everyone because they know he’s there and is just ignoring them lmao

is often asked by others to hack the group chat and edit peoples nicknames (normally it’s dan or mariah that asks) most of the time he doesn’t do it but he will if he’s bored and feels like annoying people

Vanilla Ice

co admin of the group chat (Dio is the admin of course)

not that good at keeping it under control though lmao

normally dishing out group chat bans (normally to either Mariah, Dan or Rubber) until another member of that little trio begs for them to be unbanned

he’s the most active i would say. when dio can’t be bothered with the group chat, he’s in charge of keeping it under control (which again, he’s very bad at lmao)

always has to ask terence for technical help because he assumes terence knows everything about technology

everyone always complains to him about the group chat nicknames because he’s not creative enough with them

Mariah

group chat besties with midler

always keeps her up to date on pranks she’s going to pull on the group chat so that she’s in on it too tbh

much like terence, she’s very active but she doesn’t like to respond

when she does respond though it’s probably with some type of snarky comment (never with midler though, she would never do that to her)

as much as she’s group chat besties with rubber and dan, she’s always insulting them too lmao. she loves making fun of those boys

Hol Horse

i’d say he’s semi active in the group

likes to pester the d’arby brothers (daniel is definitely more easily irritated than terence)

most frequently used emoji is the cowboy and the gun emoji (and got sad when they changed the gun emoji)

he’s quick at answering when he’s in the mood. you can always tell if hol horse has fallen out with one of the other members because he refuses to answer them lmao

pretty flirty in the group chat. mostly flirts with mariah and midler even though mariah constantly tells him to give it a rest

- absolute asshats to almost everyone aside eachother (exceptions: giorno, trish, pucci)

- theres a statue of dio in the mansion somewhere, vanilla's idea

- vanice is practically glued to dio, he absolutely adores him and only leaves him alone when told to

- dio kisses vanice often and whenever he does he almost always leaves his heart-headband on, so overtime theres a small indent in vanilla's forehead for the heart to go (based off that one twt post about som1 saying he's only fucked women or smt)

- dio gets sick often, jonathans immune system does him dirty, vanilla is always extremely worried as if a mild cold is going to kill him

- had many noise complaints from the other agents, (they only outwardly complain to ice) mariah complains that vanice gets dicked down way more than she does

- dio definitely reads his favourite books out to vanilla when he's not busy ordering him around or absolutely destroying him

- vanilla literally only learned english fluently for dio. (he could speak it half decently before he met him, but now speaks it fluently)

- vanilla knows that dio is trans, namely agender as they believe; "i am too above the human nature of gender" (i hc dio also took over jonathans body as it would silence the dysphoria demons, agender dio real) he's the only one who knows this about them

- they met at a strip club (totally not referencing that absolutely gorgeously written fic.... its called domination by transboydio on ao3 its very good)

- when dio woke up, after he met enya and her son, vanilla was the first proper agent they summoned to do their bidding, he simply fell in a sort of love with him almost

- vanilla rarely gets sick, especially since he got turned to a vampire, but whenever he does, dio is doting on him and giving him soup his mother would make him (dio remembers the recipe as a way to sort of keep a part of her with him)

- dio has nothing left of his mother aside from her recipes, which as time passes the ingredients for such become more expensive. they hate this, as they are extremely attached to their mother still, he misses her a lot and vanilla catches him getting upset over it on times

- when dio gets upset it presents as anger, he's forced himself to believe crying is a useless, weak, human emotion not to be engaged with, so vanilla and the other agents always get the brunt of it all

- vanilla does everything he can to make dio feel better, he even feeds their ego and 9 times out of 10 its him just doting on him constantly and telling him how strong/resilient and all-powerful he is, but the one time it isnt that, its usually in the form of gifts

- if vanilla's loyalty to dio is challenged he will usually find a way to get dio's full attention on him, and he, more often than not, sacrifices puppies/kittens or babies for dio, to which, dio obviously adores and absolutely soaks up lol

Chaka is 23, Devo is 26

let's just pretend that Devo didn't die during his fight and met Chaka after the events of sdc (I hc that all the agents of DIO live in DIO's mansion after the events of sdc)

Chaka was accepted into that mansion because he did (while under the effects of Anubis) serve DIO, and because the agents of DIO aren't complete monsters (except J. Geil but he's still dead so we're good) and let him in because he had nowhere else to go

ANYWAY BACK ON THE TOPIC OF DEVOCHAKA

they met because DIO's mansion didn't have enough rooms for everyone to have their own, so Devo and Chaka have to share

I drew their first interaction and it'll be at the end of the post

One thing led to another and they started dating

Devo is surprisingly good at comforting Chaka whenever he's upset

Devo's just a sweet guy when in a relationship in general

Devo is pansexual, Chaka is gay

Devo has a BEAUTIFUL singing voice and Chaka loves to hear him sing while they cuddle

ik it's pretty common to read giorno as trans but ppl usually have him be transmasc, which i do understand the reasoning behind...it's fun, there's the name change, and there's the idea that he already used gold experience to change his body before VA starts. i guess i just tend to find trans hcs more interesting when they're at-odds with the character's canonical gender most of the time. there's more meat to it. and to me, giorno's arc is fundamentally about his failure to escape the pull of destiny: in the end all he's able to do is gain power within a system, rather than destroy it - he becomes an agent of fate, rather than someone who can only watch as other people are condemned. he thematically grows to resemble his father and his last moments show his acceptance of his reality, his hesitation before he's forced to witness his friends realisation that their victory didn't save bruno, and his emotionless taking of the throne of passione.

i guess for me the idea of him transitioning within a sort of post-canon context where he's able to become more aware of and reject the boundaries of the power he's accepted is just more compelling! i like the idea of giorno later being able to understand and overcome not just the institutions of authority in italy, but also the power of the arrow and also the masculinity he's been forced into by the narrative and his birth - of a giorno who reaches a point of despair at how much of himself he's having to cram inside the definitions of gender, power and ambition, and is able to pass through it and become a more liberated and happy person. one of the most frustating things about jjba (at least in the first universe) is how much blood and birth defines a person. giorno has to be the "morally grey" jojo bc he's dio's son, jolyne and josuke both have arcs about learning to love and accept their shitty fathers without the chance to reject them or have a more complicated relationship, and the whole story resolves around the idea of good joestar blood tainted by a parasite attempting to steal the family's fortune and power. when it comes to fic, it's just more fun for me to write characters rejecting the status of their birth and their narrative bc of how little opportunity they have to do that in canon

it's becoming increasingly obvious to me that the giorno i'm writing is transfem but idk if she'll realise or want to talk about it at any point in the actual story so i'm just like. well i'm he/himing her in the story but i kind of dont want to do that in the a/n so maybe i'll just say it there lmao

hi anon! firstly, sorry this took so long for me to reply to. work has been kicking my ass :( but yesss i love the d’arby brothers so much and i never get to talk about them so i’m so glad i have a request to talk about them and my headcanons! here you go! the S/O is gender neutral in this one :)

first of all, his love language is gifts. he’s always bringing home his S/O some type of present, normally in the form of their favourite flowers

also likes to get his S/O some personal jewellery, like matching necklaces or bracelets with each others names on them, or eternity rings with his S/O’s birth stone on it OR the stone from the month they met in

despite his love language being gifts, he absolutely ADORES affection

though he prefers to be the giver of the affection rather than the receiver of the affection

his favourite way to show affection is giving his S/O surprise hugs out of nowhere when it’s least expected

he enjoys cooking meals for his S/O when he has the time and honestly, i think he would be a pretty good cook so the meals he makes are to die for

always goes all out for dinners too by setting the table all nice with candles and your favourite drink (alcoholic or non!)

i think he would also have albums full of photos of him and his S/O and keeps a small photo in his wallet at all times

Terence D’Arby:

i think his love language would be words of affirmation for sure

always complimenting his S/O and telling them how much he loves them and would never leave them

date nights with terence are mostly done at home where he’ll cuddle up with his S/O and watch movies together with them

always buys his S/O their favourite snacks too, and always surprises them by choosing a movie they enjoyed from their childhood (this boy listens!)

also enjoys a gaming date night! they’re his favourite type. he loves playing mario kart with his S/O

though he enjoys letting his S/O win all the races because he loves seeing the happy look on their face when they win :)

he’s not a big fan of public displays of affection, but he always makes up for it at home for sure by giving his S/O plenty of hugs and kisses

always buys you your favourite foods when he’s out grocery shopping and normally comes back with little gifts with you

i’m bored again! yk what that means... Agents of DIO hcs!

this time i’m going to introduce you guys to my (kind of) everyone lives au

essentially, steely dan convinces most of the agents that what dio is doing is bad and that they shouldn’t die for him. steely dan realized this after rubber soul came back from his fight with jotaro in singapore seriously injured. steely dan is kind of in love with rubber soul, so obviously he was upset that rs almost died. the most devoted agents (like enyaba, cameo, zz) didn’t care and wanted to beat the crusaders anyway. some, however, were not at the mansion and therefore did not know of the plot against dio, (j. geil, hol horse, nena (she doesn’t die tho), n’doul) so they went and had their battles. the plot is mostly the same up until the high priestess episodes. midler was part of the plot, so she met the crusaders on shore in egypt. the submarine was not attacked. midler ends up telling the crusaders about the plot and they agree to work with the agents. midler goes back to the mansion and the crusaders continue. the nine egyptian gods don’t know about the plot until after n’doul is sent to beat the crusaders. so, n’doul fights. it turns out, though, that when n’doul shot geb through his head, it only hit the part of his brain that controls balance, instead of killing him (that’s the plot for a hol horse/n’doul fic i want to write, set in this au). the crusaders take pity on n’doul and send him to a hospital. the rest of the egyptian gods are informed about working with the crusaders and don’t go after them. vanilla ice is eventually convinced to turn on dio after witnessing the vampire assault a 17 year old girl. as soon as they can, the gang (crusaders and remaining agent) attack and defeat dio. most of the agents end up living in the mansion, since they have nowhere else to go. devo, alessi, and nena move out. (sorry to those of you who like khan, he’s not an agent in this one bc chaka lives. he does get a cameo later in my fic tho!)

now, onto the plot of my fic. as soon as n’doul wakes up in the hosptial, he immediately calls the mansion, expecting to be able to talk to dio. hol horse answers the phone, and goes absolutely feral bc he thought n’doul was dead and he’s in love with him. he rushes to the hospital to visit n’doul, finding that the blind man has trouble walking due to the injury. the doctor says that n’doul can’t be discharged for another week, so hol horse waits. when it comes time to pick n’doul up, hol horse goes to the hospital. n’doul is a stubborn bitch refuses to use a wheelchair (and doesn’t have his cane with him) and hol horse has to carry him to the car. when they get back to the mansion, hol horse has to carry him again. guess how he’s carrying n’doul? bridal style. bc this is going to be the most cliche thing you’ve ever read. 

ch 2 is gonna be pure sitcom hijinks. after he got back from the hospital the first time, hol horse told the agents abt n’doul being alive. mariah is thrilled because she arrived to the mansion at around the same time n’doul did, and they basically acted like siblings. now a week later, when hol horse goes to pick n’doul up, mariah decides to throw a big ‘welcome back’ party. when hol and n’doul get back, the kitchen is almost on fire bc they put terence and vi on cooking duty, the dining room is full of half-blown up balloons, confetti, and glitter. 

later they watch a movie and n’doul does the thing where he sits in hol’s lap instead of on the couch or floor.

I’ll obviously do both because FUCK IT, I love this rabid, selfish, piece of shit, conniving, EXTRA AF thief for no reason.

- Favorite thing about them: His shrewdness, his thorough planning, his social-engineering skills and goal-driven personality. Without any plot-armored fool getting in his way, he'd be unstoppable. Like Takehito Koyasu said "He does bad things with all his might[...] because he has a lot of things he wants to do.", he doesn't half-ass anything.

- Least favorite thing about them: His ego just keeps getting on his way to victory. He literally failed TWICE because he stopped to boast instead of confirming the kill and moving on. Also the Dog thing. Unforgiveable.

- Favorite line: "You should have chosen your words better." when negotiating with the to-be-zombie mom. He kept his word, you were just out-witted. Also...not exactly because of the line, but the way Takehito Koyasu pronounces it. When talking with Poco's sister, she mutters a "monster..." and Dio just goes "Eh? Couldn't hear that." In the SOFTEST, HEAT-MELTING WAY POSSIBLE. Hhhhnngg.

-brOTP: He has no bros. He hates everyone. /hj But I want to think that he appreciated Tarkus a little bit more for his obedience and the historic value. HE WAS ALSO A MASSIVE MAN, Hokuto-no-ken-foe-sized. Tarkus was stalwart 'till the end and did not fall for Jonathan's hero charm.

-OTP:

-nOTP: JonaDio. Just...no. It's Killing Stalking all over again, but with buff men. Jonathan deserves something not toxic for the few Dio-free months he has. He's suffered enough.

-Random headcanon: Fangs work the same way fingers do when feeding (prehensile artery using the gap made by nail/teeth to syphon blood into Vampire's bloodstream) but he uses his fingers mostly because the blood comming people with subpar health conditions tastes icky to him. It's Victorian England, you're bound to find more sick people than not, so instead of relying in his "this is bad for you" tastebud sensors, he just fingers them for a quick fill.

-Unpopular opinion: (Unpopular for a Dio Simp) I'm glad Jonathan decided to stop being a doormat and fucked him up. HE SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT WAY EARLIER IN THE SERIES. Too bad he went back into doormating as soon as George sent him to his room. -Song I associate with them: Kurayami no Kokoro by Hayato Matsuo. What?

-Favorite picture of them:

- Favorite thing about them: Matured version of Part 1 Dio, he seems calmer, smarter and more careful. He has a bigger, grander goal now. His drive to learn more about the world around him, from both past and future. His unending thirst for knowledge.

- Least favorite thing about them: Dio, honey, STOP BOASTING. THAT GOT YOU KILLED. AGAIN. There was no reason to toy with Polnareff putting him a few steps down when you could have just killed him. Same with Nukesaku, why put him in the coffin when you could have beheaded any of them during that time stop?! Also, STOP SENDING YOUR AGENTS ONE AT A TIME. Outnumber the Crusaders instead!

- Favorite line: Anything voiced by God Takehito Koyasu. "You fell for it, Jotaro! This is my escape route! I, DIO, have outsmarted you! Doesn't this street look familiar?" HAH! Talk about 4D Chess planning.

-brOTP: Dio has no bros, only hoes to cater to his every whim. /hj Leaving Pucci aside because he's the canon brOTP and the easiest answer, I think he's pretty pleased with Vanilla... I mean, he revived him with his precious blood. Going more into HC territory, I'd pick both D'Arby borthers, as they're basically the ones in charge of the manor's management and administrative side of Dio's whorehouse "agency". They're the backbone of his stablishment and I believe that even Dio can acknowledge and reward their services.

-Random headcanon: The 100-year underwater beauty sleep made Dio develop a few phobias compared to his part 1 version. Claustrophobia (have you seen his "room"?! He sleeps in an open hallway!!), cryophobia (another one of the reasons of why he chose to stay in Egypt and never did his "freezing" move bullshit again), Pyrophobia (he literally "died" twice by fire.) He has constant nightmares about both his failure or his stay inside the not-leakproof coffin and can't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time. He also can no longer stomach solid food.

-Unpopular opinion: Dio would make a terribly BAD parent. He'd rubberband between week-long neglection, enabling bad behaviour, teaching the kid unethical life hacks, yelling at them for the smallest reasons and spoiling the kid. When confronted about his poor parenting or the kid's problematic attitude, he'll blame everyone else but himself or his kid. Sorry Mudad fans.
