IDIOTS - D.A.M.N CREW

i wrote this a while back (months ago lol) but i'm just now getting around to editing and posting it since i've been semi-active on tumblr these days

Lasko huffs, “Stop making fun of me, asshole.”

“It's not my fault. For a teacher, you're stupid." Damien clicks his tongue.

“W-well you’re just being absurd!”

“I’m being absurd? I’m being absurd?!”

“Yes, you are!”

Huxley groans into a throw pillow, collapsing back against the couch, “Where is Rainshower when you need them?”

“Off doing their teacher duties. They're helping Freelancer with water control or.. something back at D.A.M.N.” Gavin hums, not even paying attention to them both as he goes through his phone absentmindedly. He was mostly thinking about when the Freelancer was coming back and waiting until he could feel their familiar aura again.

They had both left before the boys arrived at the apartment. It was supposed to be their lazy Saturday morning before their hangout and Gavin was seconds from falling back asleep on their chest before they’d gotten a phone call from Dear.

The conversation was quiet and mundane enough for Gavin to ignore it and let his breathing even out until his Freelancer sat up at the end of it.

Of course, Gavin protested, as much as he could while being half-asleep at least— but they’d still gotten away from him.

“I gotta get up, Gav.” They’d hummed quietly as they ruffled his hair

“Nuh uhh.. ‘re not goin’ anywhere.” Gavin’s sleep-addled voice called out, clinging tightly onto their shirt with his eyes still closed.

"Yuh huh, Lasko's partner is helping me out with my water magic."

They’d slipped out from under him pretty easily and Gavin rolled over to glare at them. When they kissed him softly with a little smile playing on their lips, he’d kissed them back out of instinct (and when did he not want to kiss his love?) and then they slipped out of bed—away from his arms

Gavin had whined and pouted and used his very effective persuasion skills but apparently, last-minute practice before an exam was more important than his happiness.

"I love you, I'll be back in a little bit."

Gavin huffs and opens his eyes then, his hair pretty much blocking his entire view of them.

Freelancer laughs and kisses his forehead, "Relax, clingy, it's only like two hours. You don't want me to fail do you?"

"Do it tomorrow.." Gavin whines, reaching out to hold onto them so they couldn't leave but they escaped him again, blowing him a kiss and telling him to go back to sleep. Which he did, begrudgingly.

And now he's here trying his best not to sulk, wallowing in the feeling of half-hollowness that always came with being apart from his Deviant. He should be put off by that feeling, the feeling of missing a part of himself when they’re not near should scare or annoy him. But he can’t find it in himself to care much when his person is still gone.

“Lasko, you fatherless freak, would you just listen to me?!”

“Me?! Damien you hypocritical piece of shit-”

Gavin is startled out of his thoughts by the laugh that leaves his body, his hand coming up to cover his mouth. Huxley groans even louder then, his hand covering his face “Why is this happening to me..”

“That was so uncalled for,” Gavin says still laughing but about to try and futilely console Huxley when his phone chimes with a notification.

He perks up, not bothering to be embarrassed about the wide smile spreading across his face.

me hurry back i miss you

“Okay!” Damien groans and looks over at Gavin and Huxley on the couch in exasperation, “I think we need a second opinion-“

Lasko huffs, “I think you need a sedative-"

Damien looked as if he was about to slap him, “Shut up! Guys, tell Lasko that-“ Damien cuts himself off when he glances at Gavin smiling like an idiot at his phone, “What on Earth are you smiling about over there?”

At those words, Gavin looked up and his face returned to normal but it was already too late—Huxley and Lasko had also seen the lovesick grin on his face while he was looking at his phone.

He was done for.

Huxley’s signature smile was back on his face when it clicked in his brain, “Aww, were you texting Freelancer? You look so happy!”

Lasko holds his breath to keep from laughing at Gavin’s reddening face but it only made him laugh harder.

“It’s sickening is what it is.” Damien snorts leaning against the couch, crossing his arms, “Did they send you a sappy message about how much they miss you and wanna kiss your stupid face?”

“Did you respond with a ‘I miss you baby’?” Huxley laughs and his voice goes up an octave at the last phrase

“Did you add a bunch of sickly sweet emojis at the end?” Lasko chimes in between his laughter

“Did you add a bunch of sickly sweet nicknames too?”

“Shut up,” Gavin groans lightheartedly, sitting up as he scratches the back of his neck, “You guys are annoying. And hypocrites. Did you forget I'm a demon?” He smiles sweetly.

That gets Damien and Lasko to shut up, suddenly averting the other two's gazes

At that moment, Freelancer is heard opening the front door and calling out.

“We're back!”

“Thank god,” Lasko whispers in a completely different tone than Gavin does.

By the time any of them look back up, Gavin was gone to the doorway as well.

“Whipped,” Huxley snorts.

“Says you,” Lasko chimes in softly, looking back at his phone.

Damien huffs, “Says you. Didn’t you cry for three hours after you and-“

Lasko shoots a gust of wind at a sheet of paper on the coffee table to fly into Damien’s face. He responds by setting the sheet on fire, raising an eyebrow at the air-elemental.

“Shut your mouth, Damien, I’ll suffocate you,” Lasko glares.

Damien rolls his eyes and gets up to sit next to Huxley again, “Yeah, as if, air elemental who's scared of heights.”

“Says the guy who's half French and can’t even speak the language.”

Damien looks as if he would get up again to start another less verbal fight but Dear is now standing in the doorway, clearing their throat.

They raise an eyebrow, "What are you two fighting about this time?"

And the two of them immediately jump back into yelling over each other, ranting about some stupid move Damien loved and Lasko thought was absolute ass.

Huxley shakes his head and wraps an arm around his boyfriend with a smile, keeping Damien trapped at his side while Dear tries to mediate like an exhausted parent.

Outside in the doorway of the apartment, Gavin has his arms wrapped around Freelancer's waist, theirs around his neck. He sighs happily, feeling tension bleed from his body at finally having his lover back in his arms. Safe and happy.

Queersekai Birthday Edit Event!

Our birthday is in just a couple of weeks, and we were thinking of doing an edit event to celebrate with you guys! The prompts will be personal, but vague enough to allow you guys plenty of creative freedom, and you don't have to make icons--any kind of edit is allowed, even term coining.

The event will run for 15 days total (from Thursday, May 8th to Thursday, May 22nd, plus an extra week and a half of extension time before the drawing to ensure everyone has enough time), but you do not have to complete all the days to be in the raffle for prizes (more on the raffle at the end). The raffle will be drawn on Sunday, June 1st unless outside circumstances prevent it.

Admin: Yes!! This has been really fun and ESPECIALLY so since I finally figured out some things to help me maintain it without messing with my insane schedule within the last few months. I definitely need to make a proper list of my favorites but I think my most favorite song that I discovered 100% from submissions alone is #212, Tenebre Rosso Sangue from ULTRAKILL. Welcome to the Second Annual Corroded Coffin Fest!

This is a fanworks challenge/event that is all about Corroded Coffin. It will take place from July 1st thru July 31st.

This is our second year of having an full month-long event during the month of July. This year's theme is "Media Mania" and all prompts come from the title of another piece of media. You do not, in any way, have to use the actual source for your work(s). Feel free to take the title and interpret it in any way you feel inspired!

Sporty Sunday - All prompts are titles of sports films.

Television Tuesday - All prompts are the title of a TV show.

For all written word entries, there is a strict word count minimum/maximum of between 300-1000 words. I'll use wordcounter.net to check the word counts before reblogging, so please use that site yourself to double-check your entry before posting to make sure you've stuck to that range! (If you haven't, I'll have to message you to ask you to fix it before it'll be added to the event. So, doing it ahead of time is best for both of us! Thanks!)

Do one prompt, do them all. Hell, do them all twice! It's totally up to you. You can pick and choose what you're interested in. I'm not going to police how you interpret the prompt. PHOTO MODE SHOWCASE ANNOUCEMENT!!!

Hello everyone!!! So after the Grand Fest and seeing all the people send me incredible photos of the Idols during that time, i have came up with the idea of doing a photo mode showcase!! Where you guys will send me photos from Splatoon 3 between a certain time frame and i will showcase them and critique them! I thought it would be something fun to try and see if it's an event i wanna continue or not.

THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION!!!! THERE ARE NO PRIZES TO BE WON!!! THIS IS JUST SOMETHING FOR FUN!!!!

In the following post i will provide rules, the theme AND the time frame. (Keep in mind that the following times will be in AEST so do your own conversion.)

Now let's go over the rules so that everyone is clear on this.

RULES!

Max of three photos per user. Any higher and I'll just randomly choose from your selection or just delete your inbox message if you spam me.

When submitting your photo(s) to me via my inbox, you have agreed to me providing feedback and my honest thoughts on them. Do not get mad or upset at me for criticising your work.

Photos must be original works made by you and not stolen from anyone else. If i find out that you have stolen a photo from someone i will block you and publicly shame you for being a thief.

Photos must be taken in PHOTO MODE!! DO NOT USE THE ZR BUTTON AND HIDE THE CURSOR!!! IT MUST BE TAKEN BY OPENING THE PHOTO MODE VIA THE MINUS BUTTON!! If you use the ZR button to take a photo you will not be included in the showcase and your inbox message will be deleted.

Do NOT take a picture of your switch or your tv screen to show me your photo, send me the actual image. You can send photos captured from your switch to your phone or pc device via USB-C cable or QR code. If you take a picture of your switch or tv screen you WILL be out of the showcase.

Giving a title and description to your work is optional but highly encouraged. However if you feel like you need to explain the image then go right ahead and do so!

You MUST follow the theme given by me in some way shape or form, if i say that the theme is Wahoo World and you show me a photo of Hammerhead Bridge, you'll be out.

Photos sent to me via DM will NOT count, all photos must be sent in the inbox within the given time frame.

Do not grab an old photo you've taken a while back that so happens to match up with the theme. That is really lame dude, just don't. I wanna see your current skills. Take a photo between the given time frame.

THE THEME!

Alright, the theme of this photo mode showcase... is....

Splatsville.

You must take a photo(s) relating to Splatsville in some way, shape, or form. You can include idols and the amiibo too in your photo(s) if you so please. Inklings and Octolings from the hub can be included of course but they cannot be too intrusive. (Dont shove the camera in their faces.) Basically, capture Splatsville in your own way. You can use software to edit photos if you wish but you MUST state that you have used software to alter them.

EXAMPLES:

TIME FRAME!

Saturday, 28th of September 12AM AEST - Monday, 30th of September 12AM AEST.

Photos sent before and after this time frame will NOT count!

DO NOT SEND ME PHOTOS RIGHT AWAY!!!!!! I WON'T INCLUDE THEM!!! SEND THE PHOTOS WITHIN THE TIME FRAME!!!!

However, if you send me a photo a minute or two after then, i MAY allow it if it's good. I won't be super ultra strict.

Tweaking up the Festivals Calendar for my save file

Check also the previous post on how I created brand new holidays with new traditions and changed the calendar layout to 21 days per season.

I think festivals in TS4 are generally a really nice feature.

I like the random calls from friendly Sims to invite me to the festival. Sometimes my Sims are stuck in tedious routine and trip to a festival with some friends or to meet new Sims is a nice way to keep yourself reminded not to make every sim day exactly the same.

The thing about the Festivals is that as players we have no control whatsoever on the their schedule. You can freely delete, edit and create new holidays with traditions of your choice without any mods, but festivals just pre arranged by the game and they happen when they happen.

This can be fixed with another great life-quality mods that is very vanilla friendly - Schedule Festivals Yourself by @zerbu.

So here are my rules for the Festival Schedule.

I don't necessarily want certain festivals to happen in winter, I want Sims in their party outfits on a San Myshuno night out not freezing to death.

All of them will happen way less often, because of both game/mod limitation to have only 1 holiday per day and because I want them to be more rare, hence more inviting to take part in them if next one is gonna be only next year.

Humor festival happens after the Bloomfest, think of it as Aprils Fool .

It will be followed by GeekCon on Sunday.

Flea market will be happening on one Saturday each Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Spice Festival as above, but on Fridays.

HSY Cheerleading and Football Team events will happen twice a year - before the Spring Break and Harvestfest in the autumn.

Second week of the summer is when I combined Youth Festival and Series of Sulani Festivals in a row with the Summer Break holidays I added before. I think of some of the worlds like Sulani to be mostly vacation worlds. Sims can plan summer holidays there to attend all of the festivities.

Fishing Competition and Flower Festivals are for the next weekedns, let's give Sulanians a chance to catch a breath from all the tourists.

Beginning of autumn hosts series of Finchwick Harvest Fair events, where all 5 fairs will start in the middle of first week/month and progress over the next 5 days. It's also a chance to have longer vacation in H-n-B to attend local fairs and admire the nature. Locals will have only one chance year to show off their biggest harvest/best farm animals.

After the Spooky night holiday Sims can attend Festival of Light. In my irl home city we have a light festival each year in the autumn, when evenings come earlier to fully enjoy the show.

The first day of winter is Sunday and it is the day when everyone goes to Mt. Komorebi for a Snow Festival.

And last but not least there is Chess and Computer Science weekend in "January".

To schedule Festivals you need to add a new holiday on any day you wish and pick respective festival from the traditions list. It even adds likes to the traditions/festival activities based on your Sims characteristics, which is an extra sweet twist. I still need to play test the mod but I give it much hope.

Shout out to Peter Plays It on YT for his videos on all the festivals to keep me reminded of their character and fit them better in my Sim year.

If I ever share my save file publicly I'll surely include all the must have small mods that make the gameplay better and allow customization for things that IMO should just be a part of the game.

The stew itself was very good, much to Celebrimbor’s delight. Warm, hearthy, filling, he had a hunch it would keep him fed to the evening at the very least. Maybe even till the next morning.

Untitled Pacific Rim!AU - TROP - Adar x Celebrimbor / silverscars (based on an exchange with @illegalcerebral (update: now with an addition by @thephoenixandthecrocodile, I wrote a small scene set in that AU yesterday as a means to ease myself back into writing, after not having had the time/energy to do so for a few days.)

To his own surprise, Celebrimbor felt himself wanting to preen at that look. He barely managed to push that instinct down again, but it remained, just beneath the surface. He’d have to examine that more closely, later on, when he was alone and far away from those intense, clever eyes. Or maybe that would be a bad idea. He wasn’t quite sure yet.

snippet: new year, new me

a/n: I suck at titles, please be nice. This is a snippet for something I'm working on for the bucktommy winter fest, and it's inspired by this exchange here. I currently have 1,8k on it, but I'll be adding/editing more tomorrow and before posting on Saturday. I'm not sure if I'll take this one to the nsfw part or if I'm rather going to use next week's prompt for that. I'll see where this takes me!

“There’s still time to turn around, man.” Eddie offers, and Buck shakes his head. He’s gotta do this. For himself. And for Tommy, perhaps.

“I’m okay, yeah. I’m okay.” Buck rubs his hands onto his jeans - the tight blue ones he remembers were Tommy’s favourites. The same jeans he wore on the night- Buck shakes his head.

Yeah, he really needs to talk to Tommy.

The house looks a little different, and in his current state, Buck can’t really tell why. The grass is a little longer than usual, but that’s not it. Tommy was never really a fancy landscaping guy so the hedge and small bushes are the same. New roof? Nope.

Then Buck’s eyes fall onto the bright red, 2019 Charger parked in the driveway and his brows bend with curiosity. Did Tommy have that bad of a crisis that he made an impulsive (and expensive) decision?

Ha! Buck silently laughs to himself. Ironic.

Then his heart tightens at the thought of Tommy going out and changing plenty of things about himself that he might have been holding back because of their relationship.

Eddie catches the change in energy and tries to comfort his friend; “I remember he told me he was thinking of getting a more recent sports car because working on classics was becoming expensive.”

“But he loved his truck. I loved his truck…” Buck whispers, reminiscing over their short trips and the laughs they shared eating take-out and watching planes take off at Burbank.

After a deep breath to control himself, Buck nods and thanks Eddie for driving him over, that he’d catch an Uber back to his place if Eddie got called while on his stand-by shift.

He jumps out of the truck and wills himself to walk to the door.

It’s eleven forty-five.

There’s a few seconds too many after his first knock and Buck goes for another. The door swings open as if the person was waiting behind it for whomever it was to dare knock again.

The comforting smell of the house drafts out, bringing up a wave of emotions.

“Can I help you?” There’s a tall, broad man on the other side of the threshold, but it’s not Tommy. The features are similar though; blue eyes, dark hair, muscles all over and a nose that would crunch up on his cheek during a kiss like Tommy’s and-

“Who is it, Sal?” Buck hears Tommy shout from inside. Sal. What a stupid name.

“Some random mook.” Sal turns around to tell. Then his piercing gaze falls back onto Buck; “You’re bumming out our party. The fuck you want?”

“Um, well-” There’s a moment of disbelief that makes him forget everything he needed to say. Tommy’s already got a date. Buck was sure he’d be alone moping, or at least working an extra shift, but he’s already found another man to spend his spare time with. Tommy was better at going out to explore than he was apparently.

Fuck off. Not on his watch.

Aurora had never seen him look this mournful, this heartbroken. Her chest tightened at the sight, like a weight pressing down on her before it would suffocate her entirely. Aurora was already hurting him, she could see it in his eyes. "I could never regret giving in to something I had only dared to dream about." A swift kill was always considered to be more virtuous. There's no need to cut off a limb with a blunt dagger. "Viago, I have to leave Treviso. I have to leave you." The confusion on his face lasted for a moment before it was replaced with desperation, his hands clutching her against him as if she was his only salvation in this vicious word. "No," he said, "what are you talking about?" "I've ruined everything. If I don't leave, who knows what kind of punishment I'll have to face tomorrow. I cannot face them, Viago." She shook her head slightly. "Neither can I stand on the sidelines and watch you suffer because of my mistakes. I'm your responsibility. Whatever they decide will ultimately affect us both."

Each time Chian is in his cf list, i lose another braincell... like you should have more than just that person in your cf list because you wanna show that "you're not the only important person, but you are important nonetheless." Thats why its a list. You need to keep people on their toes. Put both the boys in their and then put a bunch of your besties. Confuse and bamboozle them!!!

The use of threes in this show is really cool. I saw a post about how its the rule of three and lines that divide the screen because there are three people in every situation, and ive started to notice it everywhere too. Like even when its just Bua and Chian, Bua is thinking of Moo and Chian is thinking of Fourmod. Even their uniforms have like 3 small hearts above the names, which is so cute😭

It's a saturday night and I just finished my online class for Special Civil Actions, which is a 4 hour class by the way haha. My schedule for the summer term is a bit overwhelming since compressed yung days to fit everything in one month, I have classes from monday to saturday; all of which are 4 hours each and my first sem in 3rd year starts on the second week of july so I'll most probably be enrolling late just so I can have atleast a week of rest.

I plan on going home in the province again but for 2 days lang, I need to renew my ID haha and miss kona kumain ng legit pansit cabagan at pansit batil patong. We'll be celebrating father's day tom over dinner but I'll be going to church first and maybe go to the gym before I finish editing the reel that was supposed to be posted today on my other blog. Tonight I'll just enjoy my alone time and watch vlogs, doomscroll on tumblr and tiktok, and read a chapter or two of Made of Glass.

Summary: Kyrell starts a petty argument with you. The topic? Whether cereal is soup. It’s Day 5 of the cereal-soup war. Kyrell has a slideshow. Brian is on FaceTime. Y/N is losing their mind.

“Okay, but just… Hear me out— baked beans are a soup.”

Y/N blinked at the screen, then at Kyrell, then back at the screen again. He stood a few feet away in dramatic presentation mode, one hand gesturing to his ‘incredibly high-quality and well-planned’ slideshow, and the other clutching a bowl of dry Froot Loops like a prop he’d forgotten to use.

It was Wednesday night. The cereal debacle had begun on Saturday.

“Baked beans,” Y/N repeated slowly, dragging their gaze across the bold red Comic Sans header on the slide that read: ‘Soup, Salad, Sandwich, Steak, or Ravioli: A Culinary Framework.’

“Soup,” Kyrell said, nodding solemnly. “Liquid base. Many little things in the base. Spoon-optimized.”

“It… it’s thick, though,” Y/N countered. “There’s no broth. It’s just… it’s goo.”

Kyrell clicked to the next slide with the same flair of a magician revealing a dove hiding in his hat. A Venn diagram appeared, labeled ‘Stew vs. Soup: The Continuum.’

“Welcome to the gray zone,” he said, circling the overlapping area with a laser pointer he seemingly spawned out of nowhere. “It’s not about broth. It’s about intent.”

Y/N opened their mouth. Closed it. Thought about standing up and walking into the ocean.

“You’re actually, like… clinically insane.”

“You say that,” Kyrell replied, grinning as he picked up the remote again, “but I know you’ll think the ravioli slide is good.”

They hated that he was right. The ravioli slide had been especially unhinged: dumplings, calzones, jelly donuts, gyoza, pierogies, toaster strudels— he’d even argued that a Pop-Tart was a ravioli, and that an Uncrustable was the ‘perfect ravioli-sandwich hybrid, but technically a ravioli.’

“You put mini quiches under sandwich.”

“Partially enclosed in carb. Filling. Boom.”

“You need help. Like, professional help.”

Kyrell gasped, placing a hand over his heart. “Excuse you! I have a system! This is science!”

“It’s not science. It’s you deciding to ruin food forever.”

As if summoned by the devil himself, Kyrell’s phone buzzed. A FaceTime call. He didn’t even check the name before answering.

“Brian!” he shouted, flipping the screen toward Y/N like he’d just brought an expert witness to the stand in court. “Tell them what you told me about salads!”

Brian looked… disturbingly pleased to be involved in this, in Y/N’s personal nightmare. “Right. Okay. So. Anything with multiple components that aren’t homogenous? Salad.”

Y/N gave the screen a flat stare. “You mean… like… trail mix is a salad?”

“Yup,” Brian confirmed.

“Pasta?”

“Soup.”

“Granola bars?”

Brian paused. He had to think on that one. “Compressed salad.”

Kyrell beamed. “See? It tracks!”

“No, what tracks is that neither of you have any concept of categories or rules or basic human decency.”

“Is a hotdog a sandwich?” Kyrell prompted.

Brian nodded. “Folded sandwich. Same genus as tacos.”

Y/N let their head fall into their hands, groaning.

Kyrell clicked ahead in his slideshow. More examples appeared— photos of ‘open-faced sandwiches’ (aka pizza), ‘steaks’ like a whole roasted carrot, and a lone boiled potato labeled: ‘Steak: Idaho Edition’

They looked back up at him, arms crossed. Unimpressed. “Why are you like this?”

Kyrell didn’t answer right away. He just smiled— big and proud and so annoyingly sure of himself— and moved to sit beside them, tucking one leg under the other like this was a casual podcast before bed.

“Because you love me,” he said, bumping his shoulder into theirs. “And because you keep listening to me explain why everything we could ever possibly eat can be categorized into five things.”

Y/N shook their head, but they couldn’t help the laugh that escaped.

“You know this means full-on war, right? I will find something that doesn’t fit, even if it kills me.”

“You won’t,” Kyrell said smugly.

“You’re gonna regret saying that.”

“I never regret anything. Except maybe trusting Brian to explain the salad rule. He left out milk and cookies.”

Y/N froze. “Don’t you dare—”

“Deconstructed dessert soup,” Kyrell whispered.

Brian cackled from the phone speaker. “I trained him well.”

“End the call,” Y/N deadpanned.

Kyrell hung up with a grin, tossing his phone to the side table and grabbing the cereal bowl again. He didn’t even eat it— just held it like it was proof.

Y/N leaned their head back against the couch and sighed. “So what’s next? You’re gonna tell me spaghetti is salad?”

“No,” Kyrell said, spooning some cereal into his mouth.

Then, after a thoughtful pause: “… I already told you it was a soup, dork.”

Y/N groaned, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at him.

“Worth it,” Kyrell mumbled through a mouthful of dry cereal.
