Hey now its not like he'll outlive all the strawhats we don't know if Brooke is immortal considering hes already dead so this au might just be Brookes best time line since at least hes got a friend
#ask#anon#fun fact for a moment i was debating if the au should be like#germa existed in the void century#and sanji like that robot in egghead#was left alone for centuries#but i scrapped that pretty quickly#as we still dont know a lot about the void century

Squoosh :) I can't even begin to explain this one, ngl - it's like. Like, he's got snow leopard ears and a tail purely just because I thought it was neat, but also he's like a shrine guardian type thing or some shit. That stick is a vague recollection of what a gohei stick is meant'a look like- (Also Zosan because I have a problem). Genuinely, this is just self-indulgent brain vomit, I won't lie to you.

I have a theory that is half formed in my head, but hear me out
Vegapunk, Judge, Queen, and Ceasar were all together in MADS. Some of the things they were researching were devil fruits (what they are, their different kinds, if they can be artificially replicated, etc), cloning, and body modification like cyborgs.
One of the main characteristics of the devil fruits is the swirly pattern they all have. Sanji and his siblings, who were experimented on my judge while still in the womb, all have that swirly pattern in their eyebrows. But neither Sora nor Judge have that, so where did it come from? Let's put a pin on that.
Now, when he first meet the other Vinsmoke siblings, both the audience and the characters go "wow those people look just like sanji!". You know who else made the audience go "wow that person looks like sanji!"? Vegapunk Lilith.
Though all the Vegapunks share a brain, none of them look even remotely related to each other and, as we learned when Atlas was injured, they're all some form of cyborg. You wanna know what else we learn in egghead? That Vegapunk has created the Seraphims, clone hybrids with Lunarian blood — an ancient race connected to the void century, skypeia and all of that — and green blood, which gives them the abilities of a devil fruit. And the Pacifistas were created using a Buccaneer as a base. So Vegapunk can definitely create android cyborgs robots or whatever using the bloodline elements of these ancient races. So who's to say he hasn't that one more time?
Lilith is first Vegapunk that we meet and the one we are still with right now. She was literally in Oda's newest color spread so she's definitely Important and she didn't do all that much in Egghead to justify her importance. Another thing about her is that she is supposed to be the Evil Vegapunk. York was definitely Greedy, Atlas was Violent, etc, but Lilith has never been Evil, and this has even been commented by other characters! And why would a genius create an evil version of himself when he knows the damage that his inventions can cause? So no, I don't think Lilith is Evil, but she’s definitely Something. And we know Vegapunk had an interest in the Void Century and all that stuff, and you know who all of them, both the Vinsmoke kids and Lilith, look like? Sora, Sanji's mom.
I don't think we're quite done with MADS yet, so here's my crazy theory: the scientists managed to track down a member of one of the ancient races that the government wants to exterminate really badly. The Lunarians are connected with Skypeia and the Moon, the Buccaneers are connected with Sun God Nika, so maybe there's a third mysterious race that is connected to our third one piece mystery: the devil fruits.
So let's say Sora is this person. When MADS finds her, they give her an option: they could rat her out to the government and leave them at their mercy or they could offer her protection and a place to hide in, but only as long as she agreed to share her blood with them. And so, she joined MADS. Judge, who has never heard of the word ethics in his entire life, goes a bit too far with his experiments and decides to impregnate her and pump the baby with some weird chemicals to try and create the perfect soldier. Reiju is born, but she still has emotions so he decides to try again. That's a bit much for Vegapunk so the group disbands and Judge takes Sora with him back to Germa. But Vegapunk still has some of her bloodline elements, and years later decides to use them to create his own weapon, but one that he can monitor very closely due to the sharing the same brain and one who was not created by experimenting on children (due to how he acts with Bonney, I think that is the one line he won’t cross). And so, he decides to hide this new weapon among five others so no one will look too closely at her face.
And we know that the Vegapunks can hide things from each other, so maybe Lilith herself doesn't know about this but the others do. We see Atlas sacrificing herself to make sure Lilith can escape Egghead, and why would she try to guarantee that the Evil One will be okay unless there's something in Lilith they can't lose or replace, unlike with the rest of them?
So yeah, that's my theory. Sora something something devil fruits something something ancient races something something Lilith
#i don't think i'm 100% right because i don't think oda would make sanji fawn over lilith if they're technically related#but i still think i'm onto something here#one piece#one piece spoilers#one piece theory#one piece sanji#one piece lilith#vegapunk lilith#vinsmoke sanji#vinsmoke judge#vinsmoke sora

Lineage Factor and Emotions
This might be super obvious to some people, I'm just writing this down mostly to straighten out my thoughts because it's all over the place.
Something I've been wondering for a while is just how exactly did Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji's "empathy" get removed, and whether or not it's possible to get it back.
This is also important to figure out whether Sanji's worry about him turning "evil" if his modifications fully awakened is warranted or not.
I had already previously explained that the brothers do still have emotions, and only very selective ones are taken out. I imagine if you take out all their emotions, they would've turned into something like the Pacifistas. No expression, no individuality, no personality. Just robot-like behaviour. This is very interesting, because just how exactly do you choose to only take out selective emotions?
Currently there's not enough info to tell, but my working hypothesis is that the emotions wasn't "removed". What happened is that whatever was modified in their lineage factor also includes modification that suppresses certain emotions (fear, empathy/sympathy, who knows what else).
"Emotions" is somehow part of the "data" included in Lineage Factor.
While for the most part Lineage Factor is like DNA in our real world, it also apparently includes "emotions" in One Piece. It's to the point that the Hancock seraphim is still in love with Luffy when the lineage factor is copied into the clones.
It's also implied in the flashbacks showing Sora trying to stop the modifications. Sora was concerned about their "hearts" (emotions/feelings), but the medicine she took was something that tampers with the lineage factor. As a result, not only is Sanji's emotions fully intact, but he doesn't have "powers".
Except that whatever Sora drank didn't actually do anything to the lineage factor. As it turns out, all it did was suppressing the modifications from manifesting/taking effect.
I had previously wondered why they couldn't just re-augment Sanji once they noticed he "failed", but when I re-checked the raw, the text says that the modifications was successfully done (on the "cellular level"/DNA, to use our world's terminology). It's just that the intended modifications did not "manifest"/take effect.
成功したはずでした does not mean "we thought it was successful, but actually it wasn't". It means that even though the "objective" (lineage factor manipulation) was successfully completed, the intended "outcome" (powers + exoskeleton) was not achieved due to other factors.
Sanji's "lineage factor" is already manipulated. They can't do anything to him anymore. It's jut that why/how the medicine Sora took can stop the modifications from manifesting, or how the raid suit can awaken it after so long is still a mystery.
So, if Sanji's mods fully awakens, I imagine that it's true that he will really become merciless like his brothers. All 4 of them went through the same treatment, after all. We saw that happen briefly when Sanji was fighting S-Shark.
Since Reiju has the abilities but her sympathy wasn't blocked, I theorise that it's possible to find the part of the lineage factor that controls emotions, and just "unblock" that one part.
Now that there's Vegapunk around, when they escape Egghead, they might be able to figure this out using Vegapunk's knowledge. The actual operation might not be immediately doable without the labs, but maybe if they find Law he can help? The actual details of lineage factor is mysterious, but if it's strictly physical/biology and not something that requires medicines/chemicals, it's possible that Law's powers can be used.
Alternative possibility is they might need to go to Neo MADS and demand that Judge himself undo it. Like, I think this is very very unlikely (and I don't really want this to happen either), but it might be a plot bridge to, you know, actually ask why he wanted revenge against the other North Blue kings.
Then maybe this will finally reveal the secret of Germa's past, because many things in the series seem to imply that they have or they know something important related to the World Government. Something that the crew will need to learn about or obtain.
Is Ichiji's powers okay?
In my theory posts, I analysed the various instances where Ichiji seems to display indications that he's actually different from Niji and Yonji. He might not have the full range of emotions like Reiju did, but there's something about him that's just different.
I'm somewhat curious if this as of yet unknown "anomaly" means that his powers are screwed up as well. He has exoskeleton, but we don't know for sure what built-in powers does he have.
I have previously mentioned the suggestion that his Sparking Valkyrie lasers might be just the suit. Sensei already confirmed in an SBS that the Germa abilities are half augmented in the body and half the suit:
So, maybe the emotions anomaly does affect Ichiji's powers to that without the Raid Suit he cannot do anything.
A possible hint that this was the case might be the fact that he just sat there not doing anything when at gunpoint in the wedding.
Niji's electricity runs in his body, so even if he uses it, it does him no good here if he can't use his arms and legs to fight. He can't shoot electricity blasts (the thunderclaps you see in the anime when he fights is not canon).
Reiju's poison breath seems to be a suit power, and her built-in ability is only for absorbing in poison. So she can't do anything either.
However, Ichiji could've lasered down the Big Mum pirates with his eyes since his head can still move. Or, even try to laser the candy to break free. We can see in the scene where he shot down Oven that the light blasts of Valkyrie can make holes in people. It might be able to break the candy.
Sure, they're surrounded, and there's the chance of him getting gunned down before he can do much, but the way he talks implies that "he can't do anything".
If the lasers is in the raid suit, then it makes sense that he can't do anything here.
The alternatives to this is either: 1) He wants to die for some reason. 2) The emotion modifications causes all the brothers to just easily give up and not have the will to fight to the bitter end. Like, maybe Ichiji actually has the lasers, he just didn't feel it's worth trying. Or 3) Sanji's flashback of Ichiji's eye lasers is wrong, and Sparking Valkyrie is not actually eye lasers (then what is it?).
All of that are something else entirely, though, so I won't discuss it here.
Eyebrow flip
We know that Sanji's brows flip when his exoskeleton activate, but how do we know for sure that both his brows flip? We only assume it's that way because of Yonji and Niji's.
However, what sensei said in the SBS is that "all the brothers have 66 shaped eyebrows like Yonji, but Sanji's is the opposite" and "his eyebrows did change" when the power of science activated. He didn't say that "Sanji's eyebrows both flip into the 66 shape".
So, what if when the eyebrow flips, it actually looks like this?
I don't think we can definitively say it's not like this, because the manga art has not shown what his full face looks like when his brows flip. Nothing in the series also has ever indicated that this is impossible.
The point of me bringing that up is because sensei also never said the siblings brows can't flip.
There are some panels where you expect you should be able to see the curl in Ichiji's brow under the bangs, but it's not there. However on other panels, it's visibly there.
That first panel is a very dead obvious one. It's too big to be an error, since sensei actually bothered to draw the curl on the other brow that's almost covered by Sanji's fist. If this was a mistake, then sensei must be very sick or otherwise not feeling well that week, if he could miss something in such a glaringly visible place.
If this is not a mistake, then maybe his eyebrow actually can flip too.
This is related to the theory above where I mentioned maybe Ichiji's powers are also imperfect. This is of course just a lot of conjecture, and we need more canon info before I can speculate further.
The same theory has been made about Reiju (i.e her eyebrows either flip too, or facing opposite directions). However, Reiju's modification circumstances are different from the quadruplets, and the Reiju examples I've seen are not as blatantly visible like Ichiji's one here, so I won't speculate on her yet.
Niji and Yonji?
The problem with knowing specifically what is "wrong" with the brothers is the wide semantic domain of even a single kanji. 情 is generally understood to be "interpersonal feelings" like affection or sympathy. But because this is vague, it's very hard to tell what emotions they can or cannot feel.
They can feel "concern", and Niji and Yonji both have obvious unsettled looks at Big Mum's collection. Yonji was even stunned to silence. What's up with that?
Unlike Ichiji, they have not displayed indicators of something funny going on, so for the time being I assume that "concern/care for family members" is not part of the "情" that is missing from them.
As for their reaction towards Big Mum's books of living things... perhaps the intention is to say that Big Mum is a more cruel/horrible person than Germa.
This instance makes me think of a Japanese saying that goes "even the oni of hell would vomit" 地獄の鬼すら反吐吐く所業. It's a saying to describe something so unbelievably despicable. In Buddhism, the oni's duty is to torture the dead for their sins in life for eternity. You can only imagine how bad it has to be that even the cruel and merciless "oni" of hell would be disgusted to the point of vomiting.
Here, if even the "heartless" Vinsmokes are disturbed, then it's just that bad.

Weird Whole Cake colorspread foreshadowing Egghead or a future arc?
OK, I really wanted to write a bigger analysis about this, but since things are a bit chaotic in my life and I can't really sit and write a bigger post, I'll keep this short.

Does anyone remember this colorspread that Oda drew at the end of Whole Cake Arc? They have some interesting things going on... and they are kinda scary at the same time.
First, there are the Black Beard Pirates hints... and now that we know that some of them might be on Egghead and we are close to knowing what exactly their plans are.
And the fact that it looks like the SHs are running away from the BBP... Whilst cookie!Zoro seems to have been caught by one of the monsters... and Luffy saves him.

ALSO LUFFY HAS A ROBOT ON HIS BACK?? (could it be a symbolism to the Giant Robot in Egghead?)
And there's cookie!Sanji kinda helping cookie!Nami escape...

But there's a giant RED GOO behind and staring specifically at Sanji. What the hell??
What is going on here??
#and dont let me get started on cookieRobin at the corner#I HAVE A LOT OF FEARS#SaNami#One Piece#One Piece Theory#SaNami Theory#I tagged SaNami because my biggest worry is about them

Thankfully next week brings answers! The last 3 weeks were a test of faith but I hope Oda used them well! Til next time nakama! 💪✖️

Chapter 1068 – A genius' dream
Will this be a lore-dropping arc, an action-packed arc or a dramatic arc?
Why not all three!
To start with the cover story:
…now I really, really, really want to see young Caesar and Judge. Look like Vegapunk's tongue there in the middle. And they say "two of MADS reunited", but I'm not sure if the size of MADS ever has been mentioned? They've said Caesar, Judge and Vegapunk was in it, but I don't think we know the true size of the mad science group.
There's obviously been a string of disappearances, which probably is why CP-0 is sent there.
Nice nod to Dr. Livingstone (if that was the original intention and not a scanlation decision – we'll have to wait for the official release to know for sure).
However, it looks like the Vegapunks really don't know anything about it, if Lilith's reaction is anything to go by.
And like the CP-agents, Kuma is also gone! To join the fray?
Back at Egghead, Luffy and Jinbe learn about the greatest problem scientists of all ages have faced: the boundaries of reality. A bloody shame that you can't do it all, just because of pesky little things like "there's only 24 hours in the day" and "antimatter costs 59,3 trillion euros a gram*".
*As of the 9th of April 2020
We also learn about Vegapunk's dream.
It might be the scanlations, but then close-up of Veggy's face really show how sketchy Oda's drawing style has become.
It's never been perfectly clear, with a certain charm available only to those who use ink, but as we can see in this Arlong-panel from chapter 75, the lines were still much clearer and more consistent back in the day, even if we have a certain sketchy quality to for example the brim of Arlong's hat and pieces of cannon ball falling out of his mouth:
Oh, well. Such is the time constraints of scientists and artists.
Back to the story and the arrival of CP-0!
…really, Shaka? You, who made the seraphims, and said they can send over S-Bear (which is such a cute moniker – I like the animal theme in the seraphim's namings), and who is the embodiment of logical thought, can't see how they might have bypassed the port?
Nami and Sanji's protection of Robin makes my heart go fuzzy.
Nice nod to Wano there, with the sacrifice of the ship. "We're not going back".
The plot thickens like a slowly boiling soup.
Why is Sentomaru there, and why does Vegapunk trust him to take their side over CP-0?
Chopper, you've sailed with Luffy for over 20 years by this point. Why does this surprise you?
Stussy is amazing. And where does it take her? To… MADS?
I like her.
And so much information on the last page!
Atlas is huge
Atlas is also some sort of robot
Lucci took care not to tear his clothes by taking off his jacket
The denizens of Egghead like Atlas/Vegapunk
Will Luffy one-shot Lucci or have they both developed? My money is on one-shot or run away. The fight comes a bit too soon for it to be a true testing of strength, which would indicate that this is more of a lore-dropping arc than a fighting one which is lovely after the intensity of Wano.
Nice pacing, interesting information, line work could use more work. I give the chapter a

...So let’s talk about chapter 1071 (specifically about a certain...potential rematch) otherwise known as ‘Lark are you going to write meta about a minor character again?’ and yes. The answer is yes.
I guess first things first my...feelings about rehashing this matchup are kind of mixed because on the one hand the Zoro/Kaku fight is probably my favorite one in the entire series in terms of both comedic value and just how enjoyable it is overall, so I feel like it would be hard to match what’s already such a top-tier sequence of events. That being said, with everything going on it seems like there’s no way this will drag on for too long so...we’ll see...
In terms of the actual encounter this chapter I’ve seen a lot of different takes but it’s obvious that Oda’s calling back to their first meeting which involved...Kaku waking Zoro up while he was sleeping on the ship:

Obviously the irony here is that back then Kaku was coming as a shipwright to fix the ship and this time he was trying to sink it (which...hey, Kaku, those guys you felt guilty about betraying? They built this ship!!) but it’s clearly set up to be a reference.
And I’ve also seen people asking why Kaku didn’t know Zoro was there which...is valid because Kaku does have Observation Haki...or, at least, what passed for it at the time since Haki wasn’t a named ‘thing’ then but he talks multiple times about Zoro’s ‘aura’ or ‘spirit’ throughout Enies Lobby
And this happens again when Zoro pulls out Asura for the first time and even with both of them mentioning foreseeing attacks while they’re fighting. I think (?) Kaku even does it on the sea train with Sanji where he says that he can tell he’s strong even if he doesn’t have a bounty yet, so yes, he probably should have been able to sense that Zoro was there.
But also Kaku’s been having a No Good Very Bad Day on Egghead so far like...he wanted tea, he didn’t get tea. He wanted to fight the space monster, the space monster was an illusion. He wanted to fly around the city, he got wrecked by lasers instead. He’s had to deal with Lucci being Lucci and not listening to orders and now when he gets excited about robots again instead he runs into Zoro so I’m maybe willing to give him a pass on this one!!
And lastly, I’ve seen...a lot of takes about how Zoro’s really angry and this fight is only going to last one panel (which...we’ve got a panel already and neither of them are even close to going all-out in it since Zoro’s only got two swords out and Kaku’s still in his human form and doesn’t even have his swords) but Zoro’s annoyance is genuinely just because he got woken up from a nap and isn’t directed at Kaku which makes sense since there was really no animosity between them at all the last time.
Like, at the end of the battle Kaku’s laughing and Zoro actually apologizes to him for defeating him which is pretty rare where Zoro’s concerned
So yeah. All of that is to say I have no idea where this is going to go but they respect each other as swordsmen and adversaries without there really being any hatred involved so I hope that gets reflected in whatever’s going to happen next.
Also, for the hundredth time: when are we seeing that giraffe?
#opspoilers //#this is giraffe related again#how did i write a page about a three-panel interaction we just don't know

Germa Sanji will not lose his emotions
Okay, I've been thinking about Sanji's change of personality and what exactly it might mean, specially after writing this post and rereading some theories around Tumblr and Twitter.
From early on, we have been induced to believe that, once the Germa genes take over, Sanji will lose his emotions, just like what Judge was trying to do with him from the start, until Sora stopped him.

However, I don't know if this is something that Oda intended on doing, but I don't think the Vinsmoke siblings lost their emotions. I can post a long list of images of them showing emotion and feeling things like joy, lust, disgust, and especially anger.

Niji and Yonji are the best examples of it. They are loud and even childish in their reactions, and children themselves are known to show their emotions more openly.
So they are far from being emotionless. Otherwise, they would all behave differently, like robots that only need to sleep, train and eat.
They laugh, make jokes, they yell when they are mad, they feel satisfied... they felt the need to punish Sanji for being different (which is something that could only be explained by feelings of anger and even disgust)...
So, in my opinion, Judge did not take away their emotions, but their empathy and regard for human life (even theirs). Again, I am not sure whether this is something Oda planned to do or if it's just some type of misunderstanding, but a lot of people already pointed out how we can easily see that the Vinsmokes don't seem emotionless, but rather apathetic.
As I find them, I will link some interesting posts talking about it here.
If this is true, it means that Sanji's "overuse" of his Germa genes might not mean that he will lose his emotions exactly, but something that is his main trait: his kindness and empathy. Which was exactly what sets him apart from his siblings and the reason for Judge to despise him so much.
When he decides to "spare" Sanji's life, instead of just killing him when he was younger, what stopped Judge was, as he himself stated, his human side. So it's possible that what Judge sees as a problem is empathy, kindness, and mercyness.
Back to Egghead, the last time we saw Sanji with his eyebrows switched, he had a somewhat sinister and cruel expression on his face and he himself stated that he would not show mercy to S Shark, even if he was a kid and was a clone of Jimbei.

So I think his Germa personality is not going to be a robot-like, emotionless behavior, but more cocky, overconfident, and... cruel. Which is where the crew will notice the change of his behavior.
I don't really know, however, what exactly he could do for the crew to realize that there's something off besides... well, wasting food, using his hands in a fight or... hurting a woman. All are principles he has based on his kindness and chivalry; with them gone, there's nothing stopping him.
With how things are playing out, my guess is one of the latter options, and well... let's see what happens and how he would be able to break free from that and what would be the moment that he realizes that he's gone too far... should it ever happen ofc.

The Culmination of Future Island Arc: Sanji, Nami, Franky - Part 1
(Posting this before another theory I've been writing because I wanted to talk about Egghead before the next chapter is released this week)
To the people who are following me, I’m sorry for the confusion, I’ve been reposting this a few times because it wasn't showing in the tag.
So, as I reread the Future Island Arc from the point where they met Bonney, I have noticed some interesting elements happening in the background of the manga that relate to Nami, Franky and Luffy (obviously), but mainly Sanji, that might culminate in something huge for their developments.
For the Strawhats (mainly Nami an Franky) those elements are:
Power of the Eternal Flame (Franky an Luffy)
The Iron Giant (Luffy)
Caribou's Whereabouts
Weapons that make light tangible (Nami, Franky, Usopp)
What did Zoro ask from Vegapunk?
Vegapunk Records and the Eggheead Incident
Unpredicted Allies
The Gorosei are not immune to poison
Vegapunk has technology to control the Weather (Nami)
However, after this list, my main focus here will be on Sanji’s role, the conclusion of the Arc itself and how Sanji will be important for it.
First I explain in detail all of the elements I’ve just listed that might involve the Straw Hats (especially Nami and Franky), next I will list the ones directly connected with Sanji, finally I will write a small theory of what I think Sanji's role could be... and what his eventual development might be.
Hope you like it!
STRAWHATS: FRANKY, NAMI, LUFFY AN THEIR ROLES
Power of the Eternal Flame
One of Vegapunk's most important scientific goals is to create a powerful and eternal source of energy. The hints he left about the nature of this source could also be a hint as to who will be able to create this energy and, most importantly, who will be able to wake the Iron Giant.
We know that Vegapunk said that energy is actually all around us, just not very apparent, but there is potential everywhere we look. However, through Lilith, he stated that the power of FIRE can be converted into any kind of energy, which means fire is somewhat more efficient than other soucers (?). And then Lilith connects this eternal flame with the Sun.
This here already gives us a good list of characters that fit the description of the power source, mainly the fire "users" of One Piece - Luffy, Sanji and Sabo. My top pick, however, goes to Luffy, since it is mentioned that Vegapunk called this source a Sun and Luffi IS the Sun God Nika. Even so, I still think that Sanji and Sabo both have important elements in their stories that could also give them the possibility of creating the Eternal Flame. I still think it's Luffy, but I will be making another port detailing why Sabo and Sanji also have a chance.
The problem here is, I don't think that Luffy or the other two would be able to create the Eternal Flame and use it by themselves. Which is where I think Franky comes in.
Vegapunk has stated that there is potential energy everywhere, but it has to be tempered with before its "usable". Basically, I think that Franky, with his knowledge and experience, will use Luffy's Gear 5 raw power to create the Eternal Flame.
The Iron Giant
In this arc, we learn A LOT of important information regarding the Ancient Kingdom, but the most important part is: most of the Strawhats know about it now.
So, the Ancient Kingdom was so advanced that, it still surpasses the present tehnology of One Piece (we can say that it's even more advanced than the ones in OUR universe). It's also very curious to note that Vegapunk connects this to something "alien" like ALONG with the concept of Devil Fruits.
This could imply that the theories about the Ancient Kingdom coming from the Moon AND that it might have created the Devil Fruits could turn out to be true. (initially I wasn't a fan of those theories, but I think that there are a lot of hints as to it being the case).
Back to the Robot, I am 100% sure that it will play a huge role in the culmination of the Future Island Arc AND in helping the Straw Hats fight the Marines.
It's also important to note that the Giant Robot that appears in the beginning of the Arc is Vegapunk's attempt to copy the Iron Giant. So I think we should keep an eye on it as well.
To end this topic, it is hinted that MAYBE, besides the Eternal Flame, the Iron Giant might also need some type of "voice" command to activate it (Vegapunk's Seraphins and Pacifistas also work in a similar fashion). The question is: whose voice does it have to be, and what does the voice have to say?
Also, we see that Vegapunk was working on the giant when Luffy, Chopper, Jimbei and Bonnie arrive (probably trying to understand how to make the Eternal Flame) and he comes out of the giant's chest - does this mean the energy source must be placed in the Robot's Heart to activate it?
Caribou's Whereabouts
Okay, I know Caribou himself is... not well liked amongst the fandom and the Straw Hats themselves (with reason), but we have to remember that he has a very powerful and useful Devil Fruit ability that might be important as well (my bet is he will help transport and sneak something or someone important out of the island). And it seems he is slowly warning up to be a possible ally to the Straw Hats. I doubt he was able to escape the island since it is currently surrounded by the Navy, so he is probably hiding somewhere and will eventually bump into one of the Straw Hats.
Weapons that make light tangible
So, Vegapunk (more precisely, through Atlas) has also been working on inventions that relate to light tangibility and manipulation (holograms). This is very interesting since the one and only Pika Pika no Mi user, Kizaru, is heading to Egghead as they speak.
This, to me, gives a huge hint as to who will face him.
Many have stated that Sanji or Zoro will: Zoro because, after Jay Garcia, Kizaru is the 2nd in command/strongest amongst the Marine Fleet, and Zoro usually faces those opponents in battle. Sanji because Kizaru has a similar feat to what Sanji is currently developing (lightspeed velocity). I do think that someone from the monster trio will, in fact, face him.
However, I also think that one of the other Straw Hats will assist in the fight because of the light-based weapons Atlas is developing. You see, through armament haki, it's possible to fight logia fruits users, so Atlas' weapons themselves would become redundant to an armament haki user. So I think that Nami, Usopp, or Chopper (or maybe, one of the Satelites) coul play a pivotal role in defeating/delaying/stopping Kizaru as well.
What did Zoro ask from Vegapunk?
Self explanatory. Some say it's because of a translation misunderstanding, but maybe Zoro asked for something that still might be pivotal in the future. (I'm really not sure, if someone knows the answer for this one already, let me know!)
Vegapunk Records and the Eggheead Incident
Vegapunk has been researching the Ancient Kingdom and the Void Century for quite a while, and he stated himself that everything he knows is stored in his head. I don't remember if it's in the same chapter, but to Luffy, he also stated how interested he is in sharing all thee information he gathered to the whole world and vice versa (a.k.a internet).
There is this theory made by an amazing Chanel in YouTube called Dawn & Dusk who theorizes that the Incident in Egghead that will shock the world has to do with the information of the Void Century and Kuma's memories becoming public to every person in the world through Vegapunk's powers/technology or Kuma's ability.
If this happens, it will cause an unprecedented shift in how the people see the World Government. Countries will certainly join the revolutionaries, riots may happen, and the Celestial Dragons, Gorosei, and Imu's authority will be threatened.
Unpredicted Allies
Vegapunk has stated the Marines and World Government have good people.
These people might help the Revolution and\or the Straw Hats in the war to come, but also in this arc.
This is kinda obvious since one of the first characters who befriended Luffy was Koby, who late became a Marine BUT, in this case, I mean other Marines who might surprise not only the Straw Hats, but us, readers.
Who could they be? I have a theory, but it's far-fetched, and I might write about it in another post.
The Gorosei are not immune to poison
This is just something I found that might also be relevant in the future. I don't know if Oda might bring up something from this small panel, but if he put it there, it's probably important.
So, basically, like every powerful leader who has a lot of enemies, Saint Jay Garcia has his food/drinks tested for poision before ingesting anything. So it's not far-fetched to imply that he and the rest of the Gorosei, as powerful as they can be, have a weakness that... is not that uncommon. I think it's most unlikely the Straw Hats could ever try to poison the Goroseis' food because of Sanji's strong policy about it (and let's be real, this is not their style lmao). BUT, there are characters out there who have poison manipulating powers - Reiju and Magelan - so they can play a major role in the future as well.
Vegapunk has technology to control the Weather
Okay, this panel is one that excites me the most because Vegapunk has the technology to control the Weather of an ENTIRE ISLAND and I know someone who loves Weather and Navigation and needs another power up asap because she deserves it.
Yeah, that's right! Nami!
Can you imagine her controlling the weather of an entire island, being able to create cyclones, storms, and thunderstorms powerful enough to put down an entire army? I know she can, and I think Oda might have hinted that because of this colorspread.
So, after Zoro became the King of Hell in the last arc... Maybe Nami will receive the title of Weather Queen in this arc? (This is wishful thinking, but I really couldn't wish more for Nami! She just deserves it so much!! And Franky too!! Please Oda-sensei!!)
So, this is the end of the first part. In the second part, I will show all the evidence that points specifically to what Sanji might come up with to help the Straw Hats and Vegapunk, the hints Oda left about his next power up and other things relating to him in this arc (and future arcs?)
I wanted to keep everything in only one post, but there's an image limit, and I like to use as many to support my theories.

Chapter 1061 — Egghead, the island of the future
….okay, based on the chapter title I’m guessing we’re going to learn more about Vegapunk.
But my academic soul is writhing in agony at the name of the place.
Seriously? Egghead?
Anyway. We start with…
…A GIANT SHARK. Because why not. I wonder if the warm-water bubble last week had something to do with the shark? Changing water temperatures because of its size?
Two things: a) nice contrasting of size and great feeling of doom, but b) horribly slapdash line-work. I was hoping we’d get some cleaner art after Wano, but doesn’t look like that.
But then we’re straight back to comedy! Snap, indeed.
And of course it’s 3/5 fruit users that fell into the sea, making Jimbe’s recue sensible and timely. Good addition to the crew.
Usopp is also on fire, flying in the background and noticing details about their attacker like that. Good boy.
And of course the shark has “…PUNK” written on it. How much for it starting with “VEGA”?
The thinning paneling to the left, complimented with a darkening shading, is a nice little visual cue for time running out.
Let’s see… Usopp, Brook, Zoro, and a happy-looking Sanji saving… Robin? Oh, my, can he leave a woman (Nami, floating away to the top right) to fend for themselves? Apparently so! Probably because he just made a call to save the one who can’t actually swim, but still. Growth!
Tashigi, my love! My light! My unfailing champion of justice!
And new characters! A whole bunch of them ,all connected to SWORD somehow.
So… Egghead is the place where the seraphim are?
And Drake! Hope we’ll get an update on him. We know Izo didn’t make it past CP0, but I really hope he did (although those holes in his chest did not look promising).
a) The place actually has an egg. I’ll be damned.
b) Is the egg connected to the egg on Roger’s ship?
c) Is your business connected to Kuma and his androidification, perhaps?
A pretty panel, emphasizing the size difference of the robot and the ship. Sunny’s not going anywhere.
Although the sea looks rushed, the robot and the ship are quite nicely detailed.
It is sweet how Usopp and Franky still are over the moon when they see a robot. Or a ninja.
And Caribou is out of his barrel? Wonder where that’ll lead.
AND WE HAVE A NEW CHARACTER.
How much shall we wager that this person here is not the real doctor Vegapunk? She even has a 2 on her chest. Android, perhaps: the earpiece and clunky boots would suggest so.
And not a nice person! Antagonist in making already: “Oh, you think I saved you? How wrong you are. You’ll see…”
Interesting chapter, although the crew’s split-up suggests some more jumping-between-perspectives to come. Although they are all on the same island. But Tashigi and Helmeppo are close by. And where is Smoker?
Great chapter! Looking forward to some science!
I give it a test tube, a soldiering iron and a punch in the mecha-shark’s face.
