You completely misunderstood what I'm saying, which big surprise, I guess. Reading comprehension is at an all time low on this site and what you said is reflective of the surface level reading and interpretation that seems to plague this fandom. If you think I interpret Levi's relationship with Erwin as what you just described above, either you haven't been following my blog for very long, or you just don't pay attention when you read. It doesn't have to do with Levi being Erwin's dog, or whatever nonsense you're accusing me of saying, it has to do with Levi's desire to save lives, that being the most important thing to Levi, and Erwin acting as a guide to him for how to accomplish that, Levi giving up that guide, and thus, the ability to fulfill his sense of purpose, for Erwin's sake.

If you want to understand Levi's relationship with Erwin, you're free to go back through any of my numerous posts discussing it. Just use the search function and you'll find out I don't think at all that Levi needs Erwin to "think for him" or is "incapable of making decisions on his own". You know what, I'll even help you out. Here's a link to a post I made on this very topic, and maybe, if you read carefully, you'll actually understand what I mean when I say Erwin served as Levi's guiding light.

The topic was never brought up at all (Vlad isn't an active threat nowadays and Manny only knew him because of past recollections from Danny and the others) so I can imagine Manny just sat with that assumption until one day he gets to visit Danny's parents' house and makes some offhand remark about his dad. Danny gets confused and asks what he means

Manny says smth like "are we supposed to be careful around him or is he retired now"

What do you mean by the contentification of fic? Just curious as to why you think it’s bad!

ok i warned you this might be a bit old man screaming at the sky but you asked i shall answer

i think this trend i have seen a lot on specifically twitter lately where people are like “will post the fic when i get x number of new followers!” or “x number of likes and I’ll drop the chapter” is an incredibly depressing indictment of how even creative spaces like fic writing are being overrun by what i feel is a capitalism driven desire to contentify and ultimately commodify your every hobby and interest (aka when people are like omg you crochet start a tiktok business but with fic)

there’s nothing wrong with promoting your fic - we all do it and we should all promo our work when it’s live - but i find it hard to stomach this new trend where people are effectively holding back their work until they hit certain follower goals or numbers of likes. it doesn’t make me feel like you’re writing for the love of it or for the love of the characters - more that you’re writing for the attention and the potential following it will give you.

and listen, there’s nothing inherently wrong with desiring attention, but this contentification of fic where it’s being used as a tool to build your online following makes me feel mega icky. promo your fic to your hearts content but if you’re going to be like will post this fic when i get 300 new followers!!! it makes me immediately distrustful of the motivations behind you writing fic. you know? you should write because you love it. not because it gets you twitter followers and you crave a cult of your own or whatever.

and my hot and controversial take is that you can tell who’s writing and posting fic because they want to gain traction on twitter (the above mentioned contentification) and those who write because they love the characters. motivation shows in your words more than you realise.

I choose to believe the only reason someone like Jamil happened to be present was because Kalim wanted him there (cuz otherwise he has no business being there).

What's the s9 xB freakout?.. I don't remember any crash outs, and I think I watched his whole season besides like the last month of videos...

When all of the hermits left through the rift to go to the Empires server for a few weeks, xb spent a couple of his episodes hallucinating a keralis version of the Wilson Volleyball from Castaway, who convinced him (iirc) that the way to find the rest of the hermits and bring them home was to insert a special glitched message into grumbot that then reopened the rift and sent him to previous seasons of hermitcraft (*edit, not only did he go to season 6 or 7 or whatever, but he also went to Empires 1, which is canonically like 1,000 years ago so he'd have to no memory of it. so how would that be a dream man idk) where he then helplessly wandered for several days alone in the wilderness trying to find Kerilson (yes, kerilson) and eventually built an airship or something to get himself home? at which point he wakes up delirious and panicked to a very concerned beef and discovers its all been a nightmare/hallucination or something. so yeah! normal events. yeah

This is a canon thing that happened (xB's S9 episodes 048 and 049), so even though things play out a bit differently in dbhc, the underlying themes and some events are really similar! :D

Well, it’s because I didn’t planed it. It was comments on my WIP posts and I then pouring gasoline on the fire with that short comic. I genuinely didn’t expect it to blow up like this. 😅

And I know anon that you just joking here but I can't help to say it’s a bummer that some people think of that au when watching that sequence, especially since I intentionally wanted it to make the viewer feel uncomfortable. I feel like that au made some people misjudge that scene.
